SUMMARY:

Tony Stark was many things, genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist, but he was mostly the playboy. Tony loved his life; he had no problems, no responsibilities, and all the women he could ever want. But that all came crashing down when an owl showed up at his Malibu home with a letter from a bank in England he had never heard of.

Tony was being informed that he had to fulfill an ancient contract between two noble houses that went back generations. It was required of him to complete the one thing that Tony hated and feared the most, having to get married and to a total stranger.

Will Tony go through with this contract, or will he find a way to weasel his way out of it? And who is the Ancient and Most Noble House of Potter? Read and find out.

Lucius Malfoy looked out the window at Malfoy Manor, with a crumpled piece of parchment in his hand, he was livid. Jasmine Potter had rejected his marriage contract to Draco. Lucius couldn't believe it; the Potter brat should be honored that he had offered a betrothal contract to his son. But for her to reject the offer, it was an insult to him and his family.

There had to be something he could do about it. Lucius was in desperate need of the Potter-Black fortune. After the war, the Malfoys had to pay a hefty sum in legal fees and fines for their part in it. After paying for everything, it had left them almost destitute. That was the reason Lucius wanted Draco to marry Jasmine so that he could get his hand on her fortune, even though Draco didn't want to marry her.

"It is your responsibility to this family, and you will do your duty," Lucius told Draco.

But Draco refused. He was dead set on marrying Astoria Greengrass, the second daughter; there was no advantage to that, "I'm don't want to marry Astoria for any political or financial advantage, Father. I want to marry her because we love each other."

Lucius had scoffed. Love, what good was love? Even though Lucius loved Narcissa with all his heart, that was not the reason his father had him marry her. It was a known fact that the Malfoys and Blacks had a contract to marry into each other's families. And that's when it hit Lucius; Jasmine was now Lady Black. Therefore the rules applied to her as well. She had no choice but to marry Draco. An evil smirk appeared on his face; perhaps he would get the Black and Potter fortune after all. Lucius went to his desk and wrote another letter to Jasmine Potter and sent it via the Goblins.

Bank manager Ragnok sighed; he had received yet another owl from Lucius Malfoy demanding that Jasmine Potter accept the marriage proposal with his son, Draco, but this letter was different. This letter demanded that Jasmine Potter uphold the agreement that the Malfoy and Black families had with one another. Ragnok should have left the dealings of the Potter estate to a lesser goblin, but Ragnok had always handled the Potter's account even before he became bank manager and it did not sit well with him to let anyone else deal with it.

Ragnok reread the note from Lucius Malfoy. He knew that the only reason Malfoy want the marriage was so that he could get his hands on the Potter-Black fortune. There had to be a way for him to prevent that from happening. As Ragnok shifted through the paperwork, an old parchment caught his eye. Ragnok picked it up and began to read his eyes widened, and a smile spread across his face; he had finally found a way to stop Lucius Malfoy. All Ragnok had to do was get in touch with Jasmine Potter and her new betrothed, Anthony Edward Stark.

Ragnok immediately sent an owl to Lady Potter-Black, informing her that she needed to come to his office to discuss the situation with Lucius Malfoy. Jasmine's heart sped up when she read the letter, "I wonder what Lucius wants this time?"

Jasmine got dressed and made her way to the Gringotts. When she arrived, she was taken directly to Ragnok's office, "Good morning, Lady Potter-Black," Ragnok said.

"Good morning, Ragnok. how are you this morning?"

"Oh, much better now that I have resolved your problem, Lady Potter-Black."

"What news do you have for me?" Jasmine asked.

"I shall tell you in a moment; we are only waiting for a few more people to arrive. In the meantime, would you like some tea?"

Jasmine accepted the offer, and Ragnok had a goblin bring some tea in for her. As she was taking a sip of her tea, the door flew open, and Lucius Malfoy walked in along with Draco. Jasmine nearly choked on her tea, "YOU! what are you doing here?"

Lucius smirked at Jasmine, "I was invited here by Bank Manager Ragnok. I am assuming this has something to do with the Malfoy-Black marriage contract." Lucius said.

Jasmine stared wide, eyed at Ragnok, "What contract?"

"My dear Lady Potter-Black, the one that stipulates that the family Black must marry into the Malfoy family," Lucius said with an arrogant smile, "And since you are now Lady Black, the contract now falls to you."

Jasmine stood up, "You can't be serious!"

"I'm afraid he is, Lady Potter-Black. The contract stipulates that you must marry the Malfoy heir."

Lucius grinned victoriously, "However, that contract is null and void since another marriage contract existed before yours Mr. Malfoy," Ragnok said with a vicious smile.

"What?! This cannot be."

"Fortunately, it is. It is a contract between the Ancient and Most Noble House of Potter and the Ancient and Most Noble House of Carbonelle of Italy. The contract states that the firstborn daughter of House Potter would marry the son of House Carbonelle. And since Lady Potter-Black is the first girl born in two hundred years, it is her job to uphold that marriage contract, regardless of the male heir to House Carbonelle has magic or not."

"He's a squib!" Lucius bellowed.u

"That's none of your concern, Mr. Malfoy."

Jasmine sat there in shock, "Who is this man, Ragnok?"

"We shall discuss that after Mr. Malfoy and his son have been escorted out of the office, Lady Potter-Black."

With a signal from Ragnok, a guard came in and escorted Lucius and a relieved Draco out of the office. Once they were gone, Ragnok passed a file over to Jasmine with her betrothed's information. She looked it over and the photograph that came with it. Jasmine had to admit that the man was handsome though he was very much a playboy. What Jasmine was worried about was whether or not this Tony Stark would accept the marriage contract. He was a Squib and probably didn't know anything about magic or the contract. Jasmine could only hope that he would accept.
