Chapter 1: Prologue

Midoriya Inko was worried, her son hadn't developed a quirk yet and she had the suspicion that he was quirkless and that would never change how much she loved him, but the time of the annual tests was upon the earth once again.

Ever since quirks were a thing the gods made themselves known again and forced a certain random number of humans between the age of 5 and 10 to work together in another world of swords and magic. These worlds were also extremely dangerous. The gods also haven't told us why they are even doing all of this, but we have assumed that it is because they are preparing us for something in the future.

This was done every 10 years and the number of people teleported where always somewhere in the 10000's(This number was spread over multiple continents and wasn't always even), so you could have a group of 10000 humans teleported over multiple similar-looking worlds or you could have 10 people teleported to 2 similar looking worlds.

The way the gods announced this every 10 years was by having a number seen in the sky for everyone to see. The people chosen knew instinctively that they were a candidate and would have about 2 hours to say goodbye to their loved ones and would then get teleported to another world.

Perception of time was different for each world, some would be there for 1, 10, 20, 100, or even higher(the highest recorded was 150 years). Because of this, humans would stop aging at 21 years old and would come back as 21 years old. On earth itself, it would always be a time of 5 years, and would then have a resting period of 5 years where then another set of children was chosen to go to another world.

There was one thing every parent of a child was scared of, The chance your child would never come back. The children that came back from these tests were always strong but never the same as before they were chosen. Some became the strongest villains known to men and others became top pro heroes that protected society.

There was one thing certain though and that was that there was rarely a quirkless person to get teleported and those that did never came back.

That was one saving grace for Inko, but there was still that chance that they did and that tiny chance worried her so much that the cookies she bought only 30 minutes ago were already gone. Unfortunately, the only thing she could do was prepare her son as much as she can for that tiny chance that he did get chosen as a candidate and that the people he was with wouldn't judge him for something he couldn't control, kids were cruel after all, she would know.

While he didn't worry as much as his mother, he did prepare for the absolute maximum amount if he did get chosen as a candidate. He read books on how to survive in another world and everything all the previous candidates left in the guides they wrote when they got back from their time as chosen ones(that's what they called the people that got teleported).

He also made sure his best friend Kacchan also knew how to survive even if he always said that he didn't need help from some stupid book on how to have common sense(Izuku also knew that Kacchan prepared as much as him because he saw him read the same books while they had a sleepover).

His mother also made sure he was as strong and healthy as he could be for his 10-year-old body. He had a diet he had to stick to and even had a workout he had to do all days of the week (Sundays were rest days though)! His mother was a nurse and so she knew what was good for his body.

Anyway, the announcement for the tests was tomorrow so he had to have as much rest as he possibly could get. Even with this small chance to get teleported, he would be prepared.

It was 5 minutes before noon (The time you could see the number in the sky) and Izuku, Inko, and the Bakugo family were together in the yard of the later family.

As you could imagine it was tense, so much so that Kacchan's head was ready to explode from it, so in normal Kacchan fashion it was broken by the explosions coming from the palms of his hands which was still so cool that Izuku could write a whole 5-page analysis on it once again.

"This is facking ridiculous!" yup pure Kacchan fashion "The chance Izu or me get picked is so facking small I would have a higher chance finding my facking sock the hag lost, "Don't you call me that you damn brat!" while doing the facking laundry!". While Kacchan could have said that without swearing so much he did have a point.

"Katsuki, while I get you're point you could do without swearing so much. And while it is as you say about the chance of one of you getting picked is small, it is still valid to be nervous." Masaru, Kacchan's father spoke, always good with his way with words.

While they spoke, Izuku had something else on his mind or rather in his stomach, he felt a feeling of dread building there and when he looked at the clock springing from 11:59 to 12:00 he and all the others looked up at the sky and saw a number.

Some looking at the number felt confused and others felt overjoyed with their luck, some felt pity for the young unfortunate soul and one child with green hair and green eyes froze in shock as he felt the feeling of dread explode and then….. it just stopped and he knew he was chosen as THE candidate. The reason he said the and not a was because, in the sky, the bright shining number was an overwhelming one-digit number.

Kacchan was probably just about to say that they worried for nothing when Izuku said with tears in his eyes "I-i-i-it's me". It was quiet for exactly 1 second before all hell broke loose and his mom hugged him while crying and saying she was sorry and that it was all her fault as if she was in control of what happened.

He hugged her back, trying to get himself back under control so he could rationally think of how he was going to survive all alone because this had never happened before it was always groups teleporting together to survive, and…, and…, and…, OKAY! He had to calm down before he had a panic attack and then he would be useless if he wanted to survive all alone in another world!

About 1 hour later, 1 hour left before he had to leave for another world, everyone had calmed down and they could say their goodbyes and good lucks.

"Only one person getting teleported has certainly never happened before, this is unfortunate because that means I have to do everything myself," Izuku said out loud for everyone. Hearing this, his mother got tears to her eyes -although subdued- once again, "And while also being quirkless." Which started his mother's waterfalls once again.

"Well, you better motherfucking succeed! And if I don't see you here in 5 years you better hope you're ass is immortal because I am going to kick it so hard you're going to feel it even in all you're lifetimes, you hear me!? " Don't have to guess who said that right?

"Loud and clear Kacchan! I will do my best to make my behind immortal!" He said back hoping to bring the mood up which worked because he saw his mother smile in the corner of his eye while also suppressing a chuckle at the conversation. Mitsuki laughed loud while slapping her thigh. Masaru just chuckled while also trying to scold his son for his use of language.

They talked some more from there about what to do in what situation. What was confirmed was that you didn't get teleported with the same clothes you have on earth but with standard gear that is normal in that world. Once you are safely teleported to the other world you will find a backpack with all the necessary things like the world's currency and some beginner food for the first few days like sandwiches and a few bottles of water, and some information about the world, that was all. From there on you had to do anything yourself and survive for years to come while fighting monsters and becoming stronger.

It was already 1 hour later and the time to go when they were done with cramming as much information into his head as they could and his body was already becoming transparent enough to see the mountain of tissues behind him because of all the crying.

"Promise me you will survive Izuku," Inko said sadly with tears in her eyes, "I don't care if you will be a lot older or not, I just want you back in my arms. I'll lock the door of our house so you can never leave my sight again" she continued with a small laugh.

With no chances for him to survive at all, but with guilt in his eyes he said "I promise I will so I can hug you once again" those were comforting words to his mother, "but please don't lock me up forever, I think that would be bad for my health and that might be illegal." His mother laughed softly.

He said his last goodbyes to his pseudo brother, uncle, and aunt. And then jumped at them all for a big group hug while disappearing into nothingness.

When he eventually came to and took a look around him he was confused, he was still in the same yard he was just standing in not 10 seconds ago. The big difference was that it looked worn out instead of well-taken care of like it always was(Masaru loved working in the yard). The house of the Bakugo's looked like it was abandoned probably because it was and the cars on the street you could see across the yard were half-broken or just thrown around.

When he looked down and found an abandoned backpack at his feet that wasn't there before he was kinda weirded out. The gods were weird like that so he just accepted it and picked it up and opened the bag hoping to find an explanation as to why he was still in his world and why he was all alone. Heck, he would hope to be asleep and to soon wake up in the world he was supposed to be teleported to.

(Unfortunately, it wasn't the latter because that would have been so much easier than what he would soon find out.)

He found some sandwiches and 5 bottles of water in the bag he could last with for a week or more. Even though the guides said you would get some starting money, to his surprise he didn't find any. At the very bottom of the bag, he found a big golden envelop with the letter G imprint on it probably for the G from god. He grabbed it out of the bag and carefully ripped it open to not destroy what was inside of it, a one-sided paper.

He began reading the letter and prayed that this was all a big joke on the quirkless kid, but like the instinctive feeling of being a candidate, this was the same feeling of the absolute truth.

"Hello Mr. Midoriya Izuku,

This letter is personally written by the king of gods,

Now I think you may have a lot of questions as to why you are seemingly still in the same world as previously and I will answer it all and more in this letter.

The world you are residing in, for the time being, is called Earth-15, a world very similar to you're world if the humans don't wizen up and use their brains to prepare for crises such as this one. What happened on this earth is what is going to happen if the humans on you're earth don't become stronger, but unfortunately, it is already too late to change that. Fortunately, we gods don't want a repeat of what happened on this earth, so we concoct a plan, me and the strongest gods there are took a page out of your world and made a game system like the once in those manga's you humans have and cranked it up to 11. The only problem was that quirked children weren't compatible with the system we had made and so we had to find a quirkless child that had the drive and will to become someone that could destroy the strongest of monsters with ease. Why we can't do this more than once is because there aren't any other quirkless children that are as driven and willing as you to do the right thing.

Now you know who we chose and you might not think of yourself as strong but from what I have seen myself, you are quite the heroic character. When you have finished this letter the system will automatically install itself into your body and that would be that.

How long you will be here depends on how strong you are, once you can defeat the strongest of monsters on this planet with one blow of your mouth you will get a notification about it and get teleported back to your world, this is not a joke. Now, this could take you 1 year or it could take you 3 if you are some people but the most likely would be over 1000 years.

I am sorry for your sacrifice, but this is needed for the safety of mankind and I and many others will appreciate it and owe you each 2 favors within our power when you are done. I hope to see the hero of all mankind in person one day to personally thank you for this deed.

Farewell and see you in about 1000 years give or take!

After the system has been installed in your body, this letter will disintegrate and can then be found in your inbox for you to reread, good luck, and may the odds be forever in your favor. "

A white-hot pain shot through his entire body and a searing-hot headache could be felt through him when he read the last line. The pain finally subdued and was now just an annoying little thing like stubbing your toe and still feeling it a little bit 10 minutes later.

When he finally opened his eyes it was to a blue screen hanging in front of his face.
