Day 1- Foxiyo: Convenient Height

Senator Chuchi took a deep breath as she walked from the main Senate chamber back to her office. She had proposed a bill that was going to require much more argument than she'd given today; but she had enough people on her side that it should be possible to pass it.

"You sounded very good out there, Senator," Fox commented as he escorted Chuchi back to her office.

Chuchi sighed. "Thank you. Though I do feel like not everyone is of the same mind. I doubt I'll get much more time to try and convince the majority of the senate. Best if I get to work on it immediately though. No distractions. It will be a long day..."

"Will you be needing anything?" Fox inquired.

"Just some peace a quiet and to quickly reach my office so I can start work. And most likely an escort home at the end of the day, if you wouldn't mind." Chuchi shrugged.

Fox felt his face grow hot underneath his helmet. "An escort won't be an issue senator. However the Chancellor coming up behind us might be."

Chuchi muttered something under her breath that perhaps could have been a curse, but Fox was not inclined to think so poorly of her; he instead decided it was likely just a phrase of frustration, and went on to say, "Is there anything you'd like me to do?"

Chuchi quickened her pace as she thought before stopping and looking at he clone commander intently. "Hide me."

"Pardon, sir?" Fox asked, confused.

"Hide me," she repeated.

"Where?"

"Behind you," she stated rather matter of factly. "I'll stand in the corner here and you just stand in front of me. It won't look so strange."

Fox sighed, not entirely convinced that this would work. The Chancellor wasn't dumb or blind. "Very well."

Hiding the much smaller woman between his back and the wall, Commander Fox took up parade rest in the hallway of the Senate building.

The Chancellor approached the man. "Commander," the elderly man greeted Fox.

Fox nodded his head. "Sir."

"Have you seen Senator Chuchi?" the Chancellor asked.

Fox nodded. "She was headed to her office. She wanted to get a start on the bill as soon as she could." His heart race increased and his attempts at slowing it were no good. But he wasn't lying…

"Ah, I see," the Chancellor said, perhaps slightly disappointed. "I suppose I'll leave her to it then. Commander."

Fox gave a nod as the Chancellor left and when he was out of sight, allowed Chuchi to move out from behind him.

"That was close," Chuchi sighed. "Thank you."

Fox nodded. "Of course, Senator."

"Now I really should get going," Chuchi said. "I'll see you later?"

"Yes," Fox said his face growing hot again. "Later, Senator."
