2019 AE (After-Essen)
Eren POV
When I opened my eyes, I saw myself surrounded completely by darkness. My footing seemed solid although there wasn't any. I ran around in hopes of figuring out where I was. As I kept moving forward, I saw a slight light in my direction. When I moved closer, I saw it was a tall being around 15m, with its back towards me. It was unlike anything I had ever seen. It seemed to have sensed my presence behind it and turned around. That's when I got a proper look at it. It was naked and it didn't seem to have any reproductive organs. It was very muscular, but lean at the same time. It's skin was dull brown in color. It did not have any lips and I saw it's teeth clearly. It's eyes were emerald green in color which were shadowed by large bangs of black hair which was dishelved. As I looked at it, an unknown feeling of familiarity washed over me which was reflected in the being's eyes as well. As we stared at each other in curiosity, one of our hands began moving towards each other involuntarily. When they met, a gush of memories began coming up, like it was trying to tell me something. I saw violets smeared with blood, a pair of teary eyes in rage staring into the horizon, a beach, a desert at night with the sky having nine paths emerging from one point and an army of beings just like the one in front of me walking towards a large wall, among others. As these memories kept on rapidly coming the screen went bright.
I then heard a familiar voice calling my name
"Eren? Eren? Wake up."
I shot up from the bed, which slightly startled the girl next to it.
I lightly rubbed my eyes and looked at her
"M-Mikasa, g-good morning."
Mikasa replied in the slightly annoyed tone "Eren…you're drooling…again."
"Uh…"
"And we're going to be late for college…again."
"Ahh!"
I got out of bed in an instant, rushed to the bathroom and then wore the first sweatshirt I found in my closet with my jeans and rushed outside with the first pair of footwear I came in contact with
I proceeded to lock the door when Mikasa called suddenly
"E-Eren…" but by then he was halfway down the stairs
"What are you waiting for Mikasa? Let's go!"
The situation was too tense, so she didn't say a word.
They then set off to college.
While they were on the way Mikasa asked Eren
"What dream did you have this time? You were quite scared when you woke up."
"Pretty much the same. I saw the same thing again."
"You should really stop playing video games at night. It's invading your dreams."
"For the last time Mikasa, it's not due to video games! I stopped doing that months ago! Well, yes yesterday's game with was an exception, but this was happening even before. "
"Then I think you need psychological help."
"Mikasa that's too much for a dream!"
"I'm just trying to take care of you."
"Mikasa chill! I'm not your brother or your kid!"
Mikasa then gave a sigh followed by a slight smile.
