I've been an avid fan of CSI.

I started this a few years ago as a thought experiment on what I thought was going through Grissom's head and turned into a full blown fan fiction that covered everything from Sara and Grissom meeting through Immortality, and a list beyond.

Obviously, I don't own CSI, the characters, or anything related. This is something I decided to do, just for fun.

There are points where I relied heavily on episodes and verbatim dialogue and some points where its mostly what I suspect happened or I took liberties.

I wanted this to be as close to canon as I could possibly make it so I started with what was known from the show, the books, and what TPTB told us, and filled in the blanks from there.

Because I relied on what TPTB said they believe is would have happened, even if it's not actually in the show, there will be some storylines that some people will disagree with.

Whenever there is a cliffhanger that falls on a season finale/season premiere, I ignored the actual airing date of the episodes to make the timeline makes sense, but otherwise stuck to the air dates as the timeline.

This draft was complete before CSI:Vegas aired, and I will post only once a week while it is airing as I'm hoping to pick up new nuggets to add to the story before I start posting heavily.

There is one plot line that I included into the story based on what TPTB said they saw happening after the show ended, but so far the new show looks to have decided to not go that route. I haven't decided whether or not to keep it in, or remove it since it would mean a major rewrite of later chapters…. I'll cross that bridge as I'm editing—again.

FINALLY: I HAVE REACHED OUT TO MANY BETA READERS AND HEARD BACK FROM NONE OF THEM. AT THIS POINT, I AM DONE TRYING TO GET SOMEONE TO BETA READ. THIS PROJECT TOOK SEVERAL YEARS TO WRITE AND CURRENTLY SITS AT 280,000 WORDS. I DON'T THINK ANYONE IS WILLING TO TAKE THAT ON. SO—WHILE I'M HAPPY TO ACCEPT CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISMS, PLEASE DON'T COME AT ME WITH GRAMMAR AND SPELLING MISTAKES UNLESS YOU WANT TO BETA READ, BECAUSE AT THIS POINT….I'VE READ AND REREAD THIS THING SO MANY TIMES I'M BLIND TO MOST OF THE MISTAKES.

THIS IS JUST SOMETHING I DID FOR FUN, AND AM FINALLY POSTING IT BECAUSE I THOUGHT, WITH THE NEW SHOW….WHY NOT….
