Many people make the mistake of thinking that Naruto is all-forgiving. Thinking that his patience is limitless and that he has no feelings to hurt. Well, that's not the case. Even he has a limit to his patience. Though of course, if you knock over his bowl of ramen, don't be surprised if you end up on Naruto's list of worst enemies. But that's another story.
When Sasuke first betrayed the village it seemed to him that he was being manipulated and that he could not join the man who killed one of the few people closest to him, much less the figure who was closest to his grandfather, without someone else's interference. Yes, it seemed impossible to him at the time, it seemed to him that he was influenced by the bizarre hickey this traitor had left him.
But that was then, and now is a different time. First, the so-called immortal twosome from Akatsuki killed Asuma-sensei, who had helped him with his training with wind manipulation. Then Asuma-sensei was followed by his godfather, who was killed by one of his orphaned students he met during World War II Shinobi. Then his Hokage, his Baa-chan fell into a coma. And all because of who? Because of the old mummy who killed the messenger toad. Thank goodness his so-called Talk-no-jutsu worked for Nagato, otherwise he would have lost his teacher Kakashi, Shizune and many more people dear to his heart.
So after all the upheaval, to hear that Sasuke not only tried to capture his fellow jinchuriki, but that he joined an organization that is responsible for nearly losing his friend, most of the villagers, his friends, his godfather, then excuse him for overreacting a bit. Especially when the weight of responsibility for his entire village came upon him.
So, the first thing he changed as soon as he assumed his new position as Hokage was to update Konoha's bingo books and add his former, as he thought, friend's name to it with orders to return it alive or dead.
By the way, how he became Hokage is a very interesting story. So let's go back a month, to the time when the turning point in his battle with Nagato occurred.
"My name is Naruto. The name of the protagonist of this novel is... Naruto! My name is the precious memory of the Pervy Sage! I can't give up or I'll betray that memory! I will become the Hokage! And then I will bring peace to the Village of Hidden Rain. Have faith in me!" Said Naruto with such passion that an outsider onlooker couldn't help but want to believe it.
"How?" asked Nagato, "How can you be sure that you will never change? You won't change, no matter how much pain you experience. But can you keep that promise?"
"I know what pain is too." Naruto said sadly, "And there's a lot of pain inside me, too... But, if I don't keep my promise, if the hero changes, it will be a different story. It won't be the same Naruto our teacher had in mind! So... the continuation of this story will be my life, and there's no way I'll turn away from this path. Because that's what Naruto is."
"You and I are alike." Said Nagato, "As apprentices of the same master, we should understand each other... You're a strange guy. You remind me of how I used to be. I couldn't believe in Jiraiya, I couldn't believe in myself, but thanks to you I started to believe in a different future. I'll try to believe in you... Uzumaki Naruto."
Nagato began to seal the hand signs and shouted the name of the technique. "Gedo Rinne Tensei no Jutsu (Outer Path - Samsara of Heavenly Life Technique)" His hair lost all color; the last remnants of his life force began to leave his body.
"What? What is this technique he did?" Asked Naruto, seeing Nagato begin to breathe heavily.
"Nagato's eyes have the power to control life and death. He is the seventh Pain." Konan explained.
In the center of what was left of the village, the King of Hell emerged from the earth. Who opened his mouth and released the souls of the dead, which in the form of green rays returned to the bodies of the dead and resurrected them.
"I have enough power to save those people I killed in the Hidden Leaf." Said Nagato, "It's the least I can do."
One Nagato mentoring speech later:
Konan: "covers his friends' bodies with paper to bring them back to Ame."
"Will you take him with you?" Naruto asks Konan.
"Yes... Tendo was created from Yahiko's body. He was very dear to us." Konan replied.
"So... he was Yahiko." Says Naruto. "Wait, aren't you going to destroy Nagato's eyes? Since he is such a powerful tool."
"You know, you're right. Those eyes are very valuable. And I know a man who needs them badly." Konan thought and answered the question.
"Who is this man?" Asked Naruto.
"He calls himself Tobi, the true leader of the Akatsuki." Konan replied.
"Isn't that the clown in the orange spiral mask? Wait, isn't that who Dad was talking about?" Naruto thought.
"And what are you going to do? I hope you're not going back to the Akatsuki." Naruto asked.
"I will leave Akatsuki. Yahiko and Nagato were everything to me, now their dreams have been entrusted to you. Nagato trusted you, so I'll trust you too." Said Konan, "We, the people of Hidden Rain, will try to make their dreams come true with you."
Leaving Konan behind, I returned to the village. The first thing I needed to do was talk to Shikaku. The information I had learned from Nagato was vital to the village. It was also worth talking to Pa about the toad messenger Kosuke, who was supposed to notify us in case of an attack on Konoha. What I didn't expect was such a warm welcome from the villagers. Katsuya would later say that she told all the villagers about his exploits. What else I didn't expect was to get hit over the head after all I had done for the village. Seriously, why the fuck would Sakura decide to hit me in the head after a battle like that. The way I feel, if she had hit me even a little harder, I would have been hoofed off on the spot. No, this case won't go like that, I don't want to be the Hokage who gets hit for no reason by his subordinates and I don't care that she's my teammate. I don't want to be beaten like Jiraiya-sensei by a teammate (even if he deserves it), I don't want to be a whipping boy, I deserve better than that.
So, after sending the shadow clone to Shikaku, I headed over to Pa's to get proof of guilt on this old mummy.
"Fukasaku-sama, Fukasaku-sama, Fukasa- " Started calling Naruto.
"Hey, hey, Naruto-chan, what are you yelling about?" Fukasaku muttered.
"I need help with a case..." Said Naruto.
While the real me was talking to Fukasaku, my clone found Shikamaru's father.
"Shikaku-san, you're the jounin commander, aren't you? So I need your help with a certain village business. Couldn't we find a more secluded spot?"
"Is it that important? I'm rushing to a meeting."
"It has to do with Danzo."
"I'm listening."
"You see, during our conversation with Nagato, I learned interesting details regarding one of our elders."
"And what are these details?"
"If it wasn't for Danzo and Tobi, none of this would have happened." Said Naruto with an angry expression on his face, "I found out that Danzo and his disbanded ANBU NE teamed up with Hanzo Salamander and got involved in the other nation's internal affairs, and I assume they were doing it behind the Hokage's back. "
"That's a pretty serious accusation, but do you have any proof?" Asked Shikaku, interested in this rather useful information.
"Of course there is, and that's not the only important information, which is why I came to you. I asked Kakashi-sensei about how I could bring this information to management now that Tsunade-baachan is in a coma. And he advised me to come to you." Naruto assured Shikaku.
"I think your dream is close to coming true..." Shikaku said encouragingly, while plans began to form in his head.
The shadow clone dispelled, and I got all the information. Fukasaku had already returned from Mount Myoboku with a crystal ball resembling the one Hokage-ji used to spy on the girls, and a scroll with an active toad list. He also brought a spare cloak made by Shima. This evidence was already enough to execute this old mummy. However, remembering the moment when I first appeared in Konoha in sage mode, I sensed something wasn't right, something wasn't adding up. I didn't have time at the time, but now that I did, and I thought about it a bit, I felt uneasy. Why would there be about a hundred people with jounin-level chakra underground during an attack on a village. And there was also one person with chakra similar to Captain Yamato's, but something about him seemed stranger, since there were no Uchiha left in the village? Right?

However, there is an addition to this meeting and it is none other than Naruto Uzumaki "Hero of the Leaf."
"We hope for help from our allies in the fight against the Akatsuki" Said Homura.
"The Fire Nation will devote all its energies to rebuilding the village," Said one of the Daimyo's advisors, "First we must calculate the necessary expenses. And get support from other countries."
"And yet," interrupted Danzo, "There are more urgent matters that require our attention. We must choose a new Hokage."
"Shall we wait until Tsunade regains consciousness?" Asked Daimyo, while fanning himself.
"Daimyo-sama... Tsunade is in a deep coma." Said Koharu, "We just need a leader, because we don't know when she will wake up. We can't leave the village in this position. Moreover, she is the one responsible for the destruction of the Hidden Leaf!"
"That old hag, blaming everything on Tsunade." Naruto thought to himself. But he decided not to comment on it yet.
"I'd like to nominate Jiraiya... I've always liked him, but unfortunately he's no longer with us." Said Daimyo, "Then who shall we choose?"
"In that case, I want..." Danzo began.
"I nominate Hatake Kakashi!" Shikaku interrupted him.
"The son of White Fang? Okay, I don't mind. What do the others think?"
"The Daimyo councillors began discussions among themselves."
"Who was Hatake Kakashi's mentor?" Asked one of the advisors.
"The Fourth Hokage." Homura replied.
"Is that so? If I'm not mistaken... the Fourth was Jiraiya's apprentice, and Jiraiya was the Third's apprentice. In that case, there's no problem." Said the Fire Country Lord, "Good! Then..."
"Didn't the teachings of the Third bring our village to its present state!" Danzo interrupted, "The Akatsuki leader who destroyed the village was also a disciple of Jiraiya. This is what the other countries repaid for the help he gave them. He was too lenient! Too weak! Let's not forget that it was the Third's indecision that led to Sand's betrayal and Orochimaru's attempt to destroy the Hidden Leaf..."
"It's a LIE" Loudly interrupted Naruto, "Sandaime-sama's teachings helped our village survive the 2 Great Shinobi Wars! It was the Will of Fire, left to us by our First Hokage, that rallied all of our villagers through difficult times. It was she who united our village into one big family. And now YOU of all people will say that the Third's teachings are wrong? You, the man responsible for many of our village's problems?"
"Boy, who are you to talk to me like that?" Danzo asked contemptuously, "And is there any proof for your accusations?"
"You want proof? All the villagers are my proof." Said Naruto.
"Who are you? And you don't want to explain yourself?" Asked the now interested Daimyo.
"My name is Uzumaki Naruto, I am the son of Yondaime Hokage - Minato Namikaze. Apprentice of Jiraiya of the Sanin and Hatake Kakashi, and the last Uzumaki in the Leaf. "
"Hmmmm. Interesting, but can anyone confirm it?" Daimyo asked the question.
"I confirm. Naruto Uzumaki is also the next holder of the contract to summon toads, and a toad sage." With a smirk, Shikaku confirmed.
"Nagato, who was one of the three orphans taught by Jiraiya-sensei during the Second Great Shinobi War, which incidentally is information known only to Jiraiya-sensei, his teammates and the Third Hokage, told me the story of the three orphans, who created the Akatsuki organization to bring peace to the Elemental Peoples, but Hanzo Salamander along with Danzo and his indigenous agents, who incidentally were disbanded by decree of the Third Hokage, nipped it in the bud by killing one of the orphans named Yahiko, changing the organization's views. Now this organization, run by the man responsible for the Kyubi attack on the village, is gathering biju with the goal of creating a weapon that will conquer all the Elemental Nations." Pronounced Naruto.
As Naruto told the story, Danzo's eyes widened more and more. Suddenly Shimura tried to jump up and put the upstart in his place, Naruto noticing Danzo's reaction quickly turned on the prepared paralyzing seals he had learned to do during his training trip, thereby paralyzing him.
"Let me go you bastard" Said Danzo through clenched teeth.
"It's still early, I'm not done providing evidence yet." Said Naruto, "So, we can see from the reaction of this bandaged scarecrow that I'm right."
"Continue." ordered Daimyo.
"That's right Daimyo-sama. Before that, Koharu blamed Tsunade-sama for the destruction of the Hidden Leaf. I don't agree with her." Naruto continued, "Before I left for sage training, I left a toad messenger for Kosuke to inform me in case something happened to the Leaf Village and you needed me then I could come back in time."
Naruto pulled a storage scroll out of his pocket. And started pulling items out of it.
"With the help of the crystal ball, provided by the Great Toad Sage himself, we can see how Danzo stabbed that very messenger. And that's why I couldn't come to the village before it was destroyed. I was able to get here as soon as I could when I was notified that toad messenger Kosuke had disappeared from the active toad list scroll." Said Naruto. "Also Danzo, would you like to tell us about the hundred root ANBU's under Konoha? I'm also curious about this, were your ANBU's going to take part in defending the Leaf? Or would they have waited until Tsunade-sama healing EVERY villager was exhausted and you could take over?"
"That's a lie!" Shouted Danzo.
Naruto stood up abruptly and walked over to Shimura. Lifting him by the neck and throwing him to the ground, Naruto spoke anew.
"So this is a lie?! Is your hand made from Hashirama-sama's cells and the Sharingan eyes implanted in it also a lie?" Naruto began, unwinding Danzo's hand, "Is that Sharingan in your right eye a lie too? Don't you want to explain about the Uchiha kekkei genkaiya implanted in your body?"
After Naruto's question, the entire gathering could no longer hide their shock at this new information. Their eyes became the size of saucers as Naruto abruptly plucked Danzo's eye out of its socket and ripped out his right hand, made of the First Hokage's cells. Just as quickly as he ripped out Danzo's eye arm and right eye, Naruto threw them to the floor and, using one of the few fire techniques in his arsenal, he burned them.
"Well, what do you say to the Daimyo-sama? Was the Third One wrong with his teachings? Or were they rotten roots of the great tree?" Naruto asked.
"No, I don't think so." Proclaimed the Daimyo. "In light of the new information that has emerged, I have made a decision! I appoint Naruto Uzumaki as the new Hokage! Do you, Naruto, accept the position?"
Never, even in my dreams, could I have imagined that my dream could come true so soon. God, sometimes I even wondered if I could not become Hokage. But here, the Fire Lord appoints me.
Without thinking, I said. "I accept."
