...Introduction of Sorts...

I, Phoebe Victoria Potter, woke to the early morning light filtering through the window of me and my sister's room. I roll out of bed putting my slippers on and pad down to the kitchen. I throw my auburn hair into a bun and look out the window watching the sun rise. My hazel eyes look back at me in the small mirror that aunt Petunia has hanging on the side of the fridge.

I sigh and roll my shoulders back before getting breakfast ready. My twin sister, Mackenzie Emilie Potter walks in yawning with aunt Petunia. "Why whatever smells so divine?!" she gasps. I've got coffee brewing, sausages and bacon frying with onions and tomatoes, and scrambled eggs and porridge already on the table. "I can wake up the boys and you can get Dudley and uncle Vernon." I offer. Aunt Petunia darts out the kitchen hurrying up the stairs.

I go to the cupboard and knock softly Harry and his twin, Conroy Ethan, pop their heads out. I tsk and wave them out. They scurry into the kitchen. Last week the boys had suddenly made their way on top of their school while Dudley's gang chased them. As punishment uncle Vernon made them spend a night in the cupboard. I go into the kitchen and finish plating breakfast as uncle Vernon and Dudley emerge.

Uncle Vernon smiles at the food on the table. "You spoil us Phoebe! You must have woken quite early." he smiles making his way to the table. I nod sipping at the honey and lemon tea I made myself. Watching everyone eat I munch on apple slices and wait for the sound of the mail.

I hurry down the hall at the sound of mail and find two letters addressed to me and Mackenzie. I hand the normal mail to uncle Vernon and hand Mackenzie her letter which aunt Petunia snatches and gasps. I've already opened mine. There's a great argument in which the three boys are sent outside.

There's a knock on the door and aunt Petunia opens the door to find a funny looking woman in a bright purple robe? I do a double take. She explains all about the Wizarding world. Uncle Vernon loses it. "I am NOT paying for this!" he roars. "You don't have to." I shrug. Everyone turns to me. I hurry up to my room and bring back a briefcase sized box.

I unlock the box's many locks with my keys and open it. Enough money for a luxurious month-long vacation lies inside. "Can I trade this money into your currency?" I wonder. "How on earth did you get all that money?!" uncle Vernon gasps. "Tutoring, a few odd jobs, and I sold my artwork from the art gallery last year." I confess. Aunt Petunia stumbles backwards into a chair.

"I have a few more of these upstairs. It should be more than enough to get us through the first few years and I can make more money tutoring at school or something." I stare at uncle Vernon. Mackenzie begins to stack the money properly as the Ministry witch talks about the Wizard currency. We say bye to our aunt and uncle and head to London.

Diagon Alley is beyond my imagination. As it turns out our parents have a vault but Mackenzie and I insist on using our own money. "The boys can use the vault and we'll pay our own way." she insists to the goblin and the witch.

We exit an hour later and the witch takes us to the robe shop first. I look around the street in wonder. "Should we get a pet?" Kenz wonders. I nod and the witch leads us to the owl shop first. I get an eagle owl and Kenz a scops. Then she spots a kitten in the other pet store and races over before I or the witch accompanying us can stop her.

We find her petting a purring silver furred kitten. Its bright green eyes remind me of Harry and Conroy's. "A Russian blue." the witch smiles. Kenz ends up buying the kitten and we exit the shop. I get distracted in Flourish and Blotts and the two drag me out before I can buy more than I can carry.

I gawk at the shiny red train and start towards it Kenz following equally in awe. Kai, my owl, and Maeve, Mackenzie's owl, begin hooting and screeching with the other owls on the platform. We tuck our trunks away and Kenz takes out her new kitten which she has named Snowball.

Two girls rush in as the train begins to start towards Hogwarts. Another girl joins us before the lunch trolley rolls around. We find out the first two are called Alya Miller and Mia Davis. Alya has biscotti brown hair and lime green eyes. Mia has cider orange hair and ice blue eyes. The last is Katie Bell who is so nice that I think even the Dursley's wouldn't be able to be rude.

We chat happily all the way to the school. Mackenzie winds up in Ravenclaw but that's ok. I feel someone staring and turn to see a freckly faced boy. "Yes?" I mumble eyeing him carefully. "Your Harry Potter's older sister?" he murmurs. I nod. "Interesting. Fred, I told you were right. She's the eldest Potter child." the boy turns to his twin. "I told you. I knew I was right George." Fred smirks.

I turn back to my new friends. There's a tap on my shoulder and I turn back around. "Yes?" I whisper. "Do you remember anything from that night?" George asks. "Of course, I remember everything." I frown. "Everything?" they gasp in shock. "Am I not supposed to? Even Harry and Conroy remember bits and pieces." I mumble slightly confused. "You'll break her brain if you keep asking questions. It's her first night and her mind is probably already in overload trying to take everything in." a girl smacks his arm.

"Sorry Angelina, we were just curious." George sighs. "I can even remember what Voldemort looked like." I murmur. George jumps a foot in the air and crashes into Fred. "Don't say the name!" they hiss. My frown deepens and then I pout. Angelina smacks them both. I lay in bed listening to Ayla talking to our roommate Enya Rowle, a pretty girl with apricot blonde hair and eyes like a nebula.

After the first week my dorm often studies with Kenz's. There's Senna Ollivander, Jasmine Fawley, Cho Chang, and Marietta Edgecombe. Senna has long tawny brown hair and eyes the color of snow. Jasmine has cherry red hair and electric blue eyes. It's fun studying with everyone though and the Weasley twins haven't bothered me since the feast.

I find that most people are fairly curious about Harry but I'm guessing some of the older Gryffindors and Ravenclaws told them not to bother me and Mackenzie about it. We're halfway through October when the twins chance it. They throw their arms around ne as I walk out of the library. I try and shrug them off but they are much stronger than I am.

"Tell us, you said you remember everything. Do you mean everything, everything or just bits and pieces?" George wonders. "I remember everything. I can recount every detail as if it was just mere moments ago. Come to think of it I could probably even tell you in vivid detail what Voldemort looked like that night if you want." I shrug. Shock flickers across their faces and they stumble backwards.

"Good luck on your first Quidditch match." I smirk and skip away. They stare after me still stunned until I round the corner. I run smack into Lee Jordan who's just exiting the common room. Wincing I stumble back slightly and crouch down. "The fuck! Are you made of complete solids?!" I gasp in pain as Lee crouches down. He lifts my chin and tilts my face from side to side. "You still look pretty so you're fine." he smiles.

I roll my eyes and smack his arm. "By the way, I left your buddies stunned by the library. Toodles!" I wave and hop through the entrance. I hear him laughing as he walks away and the portrait swings shut. It doesn't hit me until later what Lee said.

"Phoebe is mean!" the twins complain at dinner. I roll my eyes. Lee throws an arm around my shoulders and turns my head. "Is this the face of someone who's mean?" Lee laughs. I look innocently at the twins and tilt my head. "I only wished you guys good luck on your first Quidditch match." I pout. "You two are too much!" Angelina huffs.

I nod pretending to be sad. Lee frowns and sighs. "What exactly did you guys need to ask her that was so important anyways?" Angelina wonders. "Oh, we got our question answered we just weren't expecting the answer that we got." they shiver. "Were you being mean too?" Lee turns to me. I shake my head. "I've never been mean to them. They'd prank me into next month if I was." I shrug. Lee thinks it over and then nods as if it makes sense.

"She keeps saying He Who Must Not Be Named's name like it's nothing." Fred splutters pointing at me. "And? I find it quite weird that your scared of a name. The name did nothing wrong. Instead, it was the person. I think it's stupid to be scared. I'd much rather say the name and not be scared. Wouldn't be able to focus on much if I kept jumping every single time, I heard a name. Besides, if the people who he actually attacked and remember the attack vividly can say the name with no problem why do those who've never gone through that be so scared of the name. The less power you give the name then maybe you'll find that the man behind it is nothing more than that, just a man." I take a deep breath as I finish my speech.

Angelina and Alicia stare at me approval plain as day on their faces. I go back to eating and realize belatedly Lee's arm is still on my shoulder. I turn and make snacking sounds like I'm munching on his arm and he quickly withdraws it. The twins snigger and Lee mutters something I can't quite make out. I turn to Angelina and Alicia. "Are we studying after dinner?" I ask.

They nod. "Studying what? Can we study with you?" the boys ask. "Phoebe wants a Quidditch lesson. She doesn't know anything about it and wants a crash course in it before the first match of the season. We'll be studying in Phoebe's dorm. So, no, you can't study with us." Alicia states firmly. They deflate, glum expressions on each of their faces. I giggle and turn back to my food.

As we walk into the common room the boys dart in front of us. I frown as they herd us to the couch in front of the fire. I fold my arms as George waves for me to sit. "Oh, come on. We can help." Fred whines. "Yeah, we can give fillers or answer any other questions!" George agrees. I look at Angelina and Alicia. They sigh in irritation as they give in. I tuck my feet into the couch and listen intently as they tell me in great detail about the game called Quidditch.

I nod as they finish telling me about the different tactics and such. "So, these two are human bludgers? And you two are chasers? What do you do?" I ask Lee. They all turn to him with a knowing smile. "I commentate without any bias whatsoever." Lee states proudly. Fred and George howl with laughter at this and Angelina and Alicia hide their heads in their hands their shoulders shaking with laughter.

Lee frowns at them and turns away. "It's not funny!" he huffs. "What's not funny?" I ask curiously. "In the very first match he commentated he cursed the Slytherin team so badly he got three months' worth of detentions from McGonagall." the Weasley twins laugh. Lee hops to his feet and begins to chase them around. I laugh to myself.

The morning of the first match I walk down the grounds with my friends. We sit together in the stands and I gawk uncontrollably by the sheer magnitude of everyone's enthusiasm. Kenz sits next to me also gawking and taking everything in as fast as she possibly can. It comes as no surprise to me when Lee loses his unbiased nature as the Slytherins start using dirty tactics.

The twins weren't joking about Lee's swearing habits while commentating. I gape in shock and Mia closes my mouth. "I've heard stories but I didn't think he was this bad..." Kenz murmurs and I nod in agreement. Katie chuckles. "Just wait. I've heard it gets worse." she giggles expectantly. "How could it get worse than this?!" Kenz and I gasp.

Sure enough it gets much worse. To the point where even McGonagall herself is swearing up a storm and cursing. By the end of the match my brain hurts and I need a nap. I slump into the first free chair I find in the common room and rub my head. When the team and Lee enter everyone begins discussing the match and cursing the Slytherin team's dirty tactics.

"How was your first match?" Lee asks sitting down in front of me. I glance up at him, shake my head, and put my head back down. "Hold on! It was your first match?!" a boy I recognize as the keeper suddenly shouts. Fred and George shake their heads. "Oliver, you missed it. She didn't know anything about Quidditch. We gave her a crash course a couple of days ago." Alicia laughs.

"It was an exciting match, but I just wasn't... I wasn't... I wasn't exactly prepared for the level of swearing in the commentary." I mumble. My friends burst out laughing as they pass. "Both her and Mackenzie were so shocked they were frozen. I don't even think they were breathing." Enya giggles. I'm blushing pretty bad and hide in hands. "I've never heard someone swear like that in my life!" I gasp after several minutes.

The twins roll on the ground clutching their stomachs as they laugh. "My uncle said that boys and men who swear end up in jail or prison because they're absolutely rotten." I murmur. This sends the boys into another fit of laughter. "Your uncle would've been shocked to hear Lee today, wouldn't he?" Alicia giggles. I nod trying not to imagine uncle Vernon's purple face.

"You ought to wash your mouth out with soap." I huff glancing at Lee. Lee bursts out laughing again and I jump to my feet. "I'm serious!" I insist. The guys are still laughing but the girls go quite silent. I wave my wand and some Frog Spawn Soap a sixth year gave me begins to scrub the inside of Lee's mouth with a determination that could rival McGonagall's.

He gags as the soap finishes scrubbing and glares at me. I give a small shriek as he begins to chase me around the room. I run up to the one place I know he can't go. I run up the stairs to the girls' dorm and stick my tongue out at him. He growls and beckons me down. I shake my head and back up a few steps. He stomps his foot still spitting out soap suds.

"Get... agh.. your motherfucking... blegh... arse down here right now!" Lee shouts. "You know, I feel much, much, much better up here." I wave my wand and another bar of soap starts scrubbing his mouth. "Naughty child. You shouldn't use bad words so freely." I scold. Lee is now on the floor gagging as the common room fills with laughter. He remains mad at me throughout the weekend refusing to talk to me or acknowledge my presence.

I frown as he brushes past me in the library. I grab the sleeve of his robes as he passes. He looks around as if some invisible force is holding him there. With a small sigh I walk into his arms hugging him. "How many times do I have to apologize before you forgive me?" I whine quietly. He tenses up slightly. "Please! Please forgive me!" I whine rubbing my head on his chest.

I look up into his face in full pout mode. He opens his mouth to speak but nothing comes out. There's a clatter behind us and Lee looks over my shoulder. "Oh, there you two are! I've been looking all over for you two." Lee says with gratefulness in his voice. He nods at me with his eyes. I feel hands on my waist pulling me back. "Come on Phoebe. Time to let go." George chuckles.

"No! He still hasn't forgiven me yet!" I pout. "You still haven't forgiven her! You told us a couple days ago that you..." Fred begins but Lee who is now free of me drags him off. I frown at this and George ruffles my hair. "Don't worry. We'll sort it all out." he promises and strides away after the other two. I watch them go deeper into the library whispering furiously and hitting each other.

It's another three days before Lee acknowledges my presence at breakfast. "Can you pass me the toast?" he mumbles. I jump and brighten considerably giving him an enchanting smile as I pass him the toast. He nearly drops the platter upon receiving my smile. The twins shake their heads and tsk. "Something wrong?" I ask innocently tilting my head.

Lee shakes his head as if to clear it. "No, nothing's wrong." he mumbles not meeting my eyes. Frowning I turn back to my food. Enya and Mia lead me out of the hall with Alya following close behind us. "Did you mean to stun him like that?" Alya asks. "Stun him? I just smiled. Why did he act so funny?" I wonder walking ahead of my friends.

Lee ignores me for another week. I stop trying to get him to talk to me even though I miss talking to him very much. I sometimes see him glance my way across the common room but I purposely look away as if I'm mad at him which I suppose I am.
