Ophis yawned awake from something strange.

Her small hands rubbed at her groggy eyes as her silent yawn was met by the silence of the Dimensional Gap.

Gradually rousing from her sleep, she found that she was still in her favourite form, mainly due to how comfy it was to sleep in: that of a small and young girl barely out of her childhood. Her eyebrows furrowed as she absentmindedly combed her silky black and thin hair laid in disarray with her fingers.

Something odd was about to happen, it was the same feeling that roused her from her sleep.

Ophis looked around for the disturbance as she fixed her clothes that had shifted in her deep slumber. The simple scraps of black cloth wrapping around her body loosely, they barely covered over her thin and smooth peachy waist; the important bit below being covered, and then it zigzagged all the way to her chestal region. At least, the sensitive pink tips of this form were still covered by the onyx wraps.

Across the countless millennia, mortals and immortals called her the Dragon God, the being that represented Infinity itself and often praised as the strongest being that ever existed; even as she languidly slumbered in the pure silence of the Dimensional Gap, which was how she wished she could spend the rest of eternity.

The Dimensional Gap should have been exactly just that, a gap that exists between three worlds; a gap filled with endless land and most importantly, silence. It should have been a realm void of any wars, of any sound, and of any event. Pure silence, just as she preferred… but for some reason, it was not so silent now.

And the long forgotten spark of displeasure pricked at her heart.

In a usual decade, she would lay in slumber until she had grown hungry or yearned for entertainment; and as such, she was not expected to be awoken until many years, but it seemed like her dream would soon be crushed.

With wide eyes, she sat up from her drows; the feeling of grogginess all but vanished as a large silver like beam shot across the dimensional gap, a few indescribable words appeared in the heart of Ophis as she stared at the beam.

Unstoppable! Invincible!

As if influenced by an outside force, a black slithering serpent like being wrapped around the beam; tightening around it, the ray of silver light began to flicker under the force until the serpent itself flickered out existence soon after.

The gray streak was but of a shell of its former self, thinner and duller; it almost seemed as if it would vanish from the world as its form began to grow incorporeal.

An awe-shocking sight, even to a Dragon God such as herself, appeared before her eyes. A golden halo began to hover above the beam of silver, much to her confusion it disintegrated and began to merge into the beam.

The previously flickering and dissipating form vanished, it slowly began to show signs of regaining stability as it only grew larger; and it showed no signs of stopping any time soon.

The beam became too gigantic to be able to describe, perhaps the body of Great Red would be able to measure up to it.

Speaking of the large oversized red lizard; he himself flew around the vast and endless gap, his slitted irises gazing at the beam with wariness and caution, even he himself would rather not disturb it if he could help it.

The large beam began to show signs of instability, it was akin to a large raging river that spanned across Heaven and Earth; the faintest traces of fear appeared in the hearts of the two dragons that viewed the scene.

Crossing the dimension with unseen before speed; it started to give a low hiss, akin to a threatening serpent watching its prey, the sound was enough to tremble the Dimensional Gap. It was a deep rooted fear that has existed since their creation; their entire nerves and instincts shouted at their bodies to run, and yet they held their ground as they both glared at the beam.

Almost as if seeing them resist, the hissing stopped as the beam continued on its path.

Despite all attempts to stop the beam, they were futile as the large ray of silver light that was the beam seemingly vanished. Almost as if its job and goal has been completed.

Ophis stood there in wonder, her emotionless and dead eyes shifting into confusion as she softly shook her head; there wasn't any need to think about it, she wanted to sleep… to revel in utter silence. But that was denied to her as the booms and shouts of the great True Dragon echoed out in the gap; it was akin to millions of thunderclaps to the sensitive ears of Ophis, glaring lightly, the floor cracked as her shallow anger was exuded.

Just when will she have her silence? Will another deafening beam appear again? Will the damn lizard keep on shouting and roaring? She dearly hoped both weren't true.

Floating up in the air, she took off and flew into the distance of where the beam vanished; maybe… maybe, maybe it was silent wherever it went?

She could only hope.

Any normal human would've been confused, the stupidity of the situation causing them to go into insanity or for their heads to explode, like some poorly made movie.

Congratulations! You've been assassinated!

Instead, I opted for a frown. I wasn't the religious type, only choosing to be so for the public recognition and abusing such a thing to my advantage. But if I indeed was, then I would most definitely would've thought that I was being sent to hell or whatever other religion equivalent to eternal damnation existed.

Rather, I spent most of my time floating adrift in a black void where- all of a sudden- big bold and white highlighted letters appeared before me, with a cold female voice to boot.

Ah shoot, what I meant to say was. Congrats! You've been chosen to be the host of the Gamer System!

"Gamer...system?"

Oh crap...

The Gamer System allows the user to live out their life like an RPG game, they can choose to live out their life in any way they want! Be it hero, villain, or even ignore everything and watch by the sidelines.

If it were any other of family members, they would've scoffed at such an idea; for such a concept to exist to practically cheat their way into power and wealth was against everything they stood for. But I wasn't anything like my honorable yet heartless family.

I wasn't some genius like my father who practically conquered the video games industry, or like my older brother who was the antithesis to my very existence as he stood tall like a beacon of light; his very presence causing smiles and warmth.

Nor like my mother, who also similarly to father, dominated the industry, except it was the fashion and modeling industry which my twin sister seemed absolutely suited for the job since her birth.

And then there was me, the black sheep of the family, no talent nor intelligence inherited from either side. For the sake of public appearance, I was given money so I was at least visibly seen with them, the money being used for my own hobbies.

One can consider it bribery, in a way.

I've always wondered how I'd die, lung cancer? An alcohol influenced car crash? Or perhaps I was going to meet a terrible end in some dark alley? Or maybe during an orgy of STDS?

But nope, instead I was shot down in my apartment while drinking a cup of coffee, and I'm going to take a wild guess and assume my parents hired a mercenary to come kill me?

You're... taking the news of your own parents wanting to kill you and even succeeding rather lightly, like what family does that?

"Well, I could use my energy to go in the corner and cry like a whiny brat…" I offered stoically, "or accept the fact my parents are murderous heartless bastards and move on while using my energy to figure out the gamer system."

That seemed to shock the voice into silence. A few seconds passed by without a word from it.

+ 5 Affection with the Gamer System [5/100] for not being a whiny bitch :)

I snorted at the notification to the side of my vision, apparently it had a sense of humor.

"So now what? Are you going to give me a tutorial?"

While that would be the case, the creator has decided to use a swim or drown tactic, so no tutorial but you will be given 100 points to use! Any remainder will be converted to stat points!

My lips twitched. Was I supposed to know what these points were? What's the difference between points and stat points? But what most of my attention was drawn to was the fact there was a creator...

In the original manhwa, it was Gaia and that meant the limit of the player's strength would be Gaia herself so while impressive it was not really powerful in the grand scheme of things. Who was it this time?

"Was it God?"

God is but a mere ant compared to my creator.

The feminine robotic voice said, a chill ran through my spine, I couldn't trust its words and merely assume them as the words of a fervent follower but what if it was true? A being above God, someone strong enough to defy the law of death, and someone strong enough to make the Gamer System...

As much as I love the idea of you comprehending the existence of a being stronger than God, we should get a move on.

If that isn't a rip off then I don't know what is... hold on a second, where am I even going?

The only universe with hot girls and power of horniness... the only ANIME with hot girls and power of horniness, the great realm of DxD!

I groaned as I felt a headache coming: As much as I love being in a world where I can be blown to smithereens just by breathing in the wrong direction or saying no to a dragon loli, I think I'll pass.

Don't I get to decide?

Fine, choose between the three :)

[ChOoSe]

DxD

Marvel

DC

...

Yeah, never mind, I think I'll stick with DxD.

Facing the One Above All from Marvel and the Specter from DC isn't exactly my idea of fun, just the fact that I'm from another world would get me one ticket to death, and double for having the Gamer System: an ability that defies all common sense.

Good boy

- 2 Affection with the Gamer System [3/100] don't look at the gift horse in the mouth

Yeah all right, I deserved that.

I didn't ask any more questions as I looked through the list of what I can choose, the first thing to know was that I was going to the DxD world, and while that meant beauties that can be put any model to an OD out of shame, it also meant Gods and beings who can snap away my existence.

Being a human is already off the list, I can tell that a random reincarnated person in the human world would be carefully monitored and that wouldn't do me any good, if Gods had any power as to what I assumed but it was better to be safe than sorry.

The Stray Devil route was practically screaming "Guaranteed death." The amount of points I would obtain was something that made me almost consider it, but the price wasn't worth it to be hunted down by all factions.

Human Magician was slightly better but humans were just too weak, it would take me years to be able to catch up and even then I had no idea what sort of power this version of the Gamer System held, only knowing that a being equal to or above God made it and it was particularly snarky so it wouldn't tell me much.

Dragon would screw me over in points and while the whole show basically revolves around dragons, I don't want to waste all my points. My observations left me with a few options as my knowledge was limited, I was a bit more distracted by the fan service than the plot which had Issei.

What I was truly deciding between was two options: Nekomata and Devil.

Being a Neko, while personally embarrassing, would give me a distinct edge on all others on using senjutsu, youjutsu, and touki. And while it gave me the chance to get Koneko, there's also the fact that I'd be the only male Neko and would be sold into slavery...

Well, being a Neko is off the table.

Being a devil would give me the option to interact with Rias, along with the fact that I don't have to worry about being forced into a peerage and can make one of my own. And while being an Angel gives me the same power- or at least I assume so- with my goals and thoughts, I would fall as soon as I was born.

Which now that I think about, which would mean I would be born before the Great War or during it... yeah, screw that.

Seeing no options and not wanting to choose a race with unknown info to me, I chose Devil.

Now for the fun part that can fuck you over for eternity, everyone's favorite, background customization!

[Select a Background!]

[The Bastard Child] - gain 10 points

Born from a concubine and the head of the household, start your life as a mere servant forced to serve the household

[I'm insane] - FREE

Born in a family of devils that fanatically supports the world domination ideals of the original Satans

[Posh Douchebag] - 10 points

Born into one of the 72 pillars of the underworld, live a life good posh life filled with political bullshit

[Look at me, I'm cool and edgy] - 25 points

Born in one of the Six houses of Lucifer, be raised as a prodigy among prodigy's.

This gamer system was certainly... unique, snarky but unique. My eye could only twitch in the future irritation it may bring as I looked through the options.

My eyes were stuck on the last option, born in the strongest house of devils? Yes please, but what had me concerned was the price. 25 points was a high number and who knows what else I could buy.

But... each pillar was specialized in a special form of magic, the Bael clan had the power of destruction, Sitri had water magic, and Phenex had superior regeneration along with some form of fire what I could distinctly remember.

So then... What was the inherited magic of one of the original Six clans?

Without hesitation, I pushed the last option, it might seem reckless but power was something I've always strived for and since my birth I've been stripped of the right to have any... there was no way I was going to let this chance go.

It was also the best way to survive, being born a commoner guaranteed being treated like trash, abused, and given no time to grind if all devils are similar to Riser in any way.

Being aligned to the Old Satan Faction... well, it was the quickest way to guarantee torture and death.

Being born in one of the strongest clans would give me enough political weight to not be dragged through the mud, and if I played my cards right it might become my biggest strength,

Being a normal devil is out of the question, it would affect my role in the household and the magic I inherit, effectively it would double my workload to increase my political influence enough to have any effect in the underworld.

Sure, whatever you say, you just wanted to be born better than others.

I want power, so what? Having a little boon at the start never hurts anyone... well it won't hurt me and that's what matters, now doesn't it?

Well said, now time for the really good stuff.

A few more options opened up before me.

Skills, Stats, Items, Perks, etc.

My eyes are drawn to the little black banner with golden letters written etched on it at the top of the list.

Limited time offers!

That's right, all of that is available will be things that wouldn't normally be open to you.

I note the word, normally; so I could get them later on? It's a slight relief but which to get and which are going to be most helpful?

I scroll through the items list as my eyes sparkle.

[Excalibur] - 40 points

The Holy Sword of Arthur Pendragon from the legends, it is to be noted that this isn't Excalibur from DxD but from the Fate Series

[Philosopher's Stone] - 10 points

A red gym made of human souls that greatly boost all alchemy and magic by a massive degree, from the FMA series

[Scissor Blade] - 10 points

A large scissor-like weapon made of life fibers, capable of disabling regeneration, from the Kill la Kill series.

A small grin makes its way across my face and makes a note of them. I can't be reckless, I need to carefully examine all my options before I spend my points. I note that I only have 70 left and the remaining will be contributed to my stat points.

I begrudgingly move away from the item list.

The corner of my lips etch into a large grin of greed.

This is what I was talking about.

[Anti Magic Affinity] - 15 points

You have a gift in the use of Anti Magic, grants the user a Anti magic

[Soul Magic Affinity] - 30 points

You have a gift in this dark and dangerous art, grants the user Soul magic

My eyes shot wide open, 30 points!? My eyes narrowed, the only thing higher than the cost of Soul Magic Affinity was the Dragon Race, but how could Soul Magic compare to becoming a dragon?

If you must know, my creator specializes in Soul Magic beyond all other magic, Soul Magic was the entire reason you're still here babbling.

My finger found selecting Soul Magic Affinity faster than I'd like to admit, the specialized magic of the being that brought me here? It was enough to make me giddy, but the cost was rather high.

I could only grimace as I saw my points drop.

The price of soul magic was immense but at least it was somewhat comforting that the magic belonged to the being that brought me back from the dead, it was the whole reason for my decision to buy it.

As for anti magic, what supernatural being didn't use magic? Devil's used magic, Angel's used magic, God used magic, Ophis probably used magic? I hadn't read or seen that far into DxD so I only know a bit of info about the powerhouses.

With anti magic in my arsenal, I could erase any magical attack; or at the very least, grow to that point where the unknown powerhouses couldn't harm me.

Feeling a little more comforted by the massive drop of points with 25 left, I kept scrolling.

My eyebrow rose.

[Androgynous] - gain 10 points

The User's appearance is altered to look partly male and female in appearance, reputation/affection system is altered so all males can use the affection system

The... affection system?

Oh, hahah, I added that perk for fun, but it basically makes it so males have a chance to fall for you. It would alter the reputation system: where at first, men would only respect you and not love you; now it makes it so both genders have an equal chance of falling in love with you despite their original sexuality.

My hand grew hesitant, was it worth it? Power attracted devils and considering I was planning on becoming stronger...

I took a quick glance at the corner of the system, a white number stared back at me signifying I was dangerously low in points. Specifically, I only had 25, and who knew what else it could buy?

With a heavy heart... and the snickering robotic female sound, I bought the perk as my points jumped to 35.

Looking slightly female was a small price to pay...

Whatever helps you sleep at night.

Ignoring the taunt, after many continuous hours of fascination I have finally spent a good enough points to guarantee my survival by closing the gap between me and my peers.

[Enemy of Darkness] - gain 10 points

All beings associated with the Underworld or Devil Magic will feel discomfort in your presence, all damage from Devil Magic will be doubled.

[Monocle] - FREE

A crystal monocle that allows the user to see through all illusions or anything regarding deception, from ?

The monocle was a surprising find, but not an unwelcome one. And despite my questioning of the item, the system wouldn't answer as to who it came from, which aroused some suspicion, but I've learned to not look at the gift horse in the mouth.

It was the only item I bought- mostly because of the price being free and my curiosity. It was a good thing my points didn't drop any lower than what they already were, I sighed as I looked at the point counter.

While admitting my ideal outcome wouldn't have left me 25 points to spare, I needed to get stronger quickly if I was going to bend over the likes of Grayfia and Serafall...

What? I also had other priorities.

You're not going to buy any more equipment?

While admittedly getting Excalibur and blasting Sirzech point blank was an amusing idea, it just wasn't worth the points while I could spend them somewhere else or gain stat points (which could save my life); it was what I said to myself to prevent myself from clicking on the purchase button.

So is there anything else?

Just one little thing

Right before my eyes, the limited timed golden banner disappeared, and it's place was a single word with three choices below it.

[Class]

Warrior, Rogue, Mage

I frown. Realistically, I should choose a mage or warrior, a rogue wouldn't work for a devil who isn't specialized in stealth. Mage would be most suited since the entire reason I chose to be in the strongest clan is because of the gamble on the specialized magic.

Warrior would fit the powerful physique that comes with being a devil and would probably have a method to counter the perks Enemy of darkness and Enemy of Light, but it would hinder my progression in my clan's magic.

But the clan magic could be physical and not magical, so then warrior would be best choice... but-

Blah blah blah, just choose already, Warrior stronger, Mage is a magician, and Rogue is a ninja.

Taking my chances, I choose mage, even if my clan's magic is involved in the physical aspect of it more, being a mage would at least help me in some degree compared to the Rogue or Warrior class.

Now prepare yourself, this might hurt just a tad... bit.

Pain surges through every node of my body, the burning sensation within my stomach and across my skin did nothing to calm my worries as a strangled scream left my mouth, the burning sensation soon entered my mouth.

Before I knew it, I sat up panting.

... what? Why is my charisma so high? Why are all my stats so... high? I'm not going to complain but-

The multiplier would be the racial boost, the base stats would be due to the body previous owner and bloodline. To be fairly honest, you're fairly average- only a bit stronger than your devil peers.

I guess that makes sense; nodding in acceptance of the answer I tried my best to filter out the memories that flooded my head. Some naturally blurry and some clear as the blue sky, of course they were blurry and or clear depending on their importance and age.

Figures, the information I needed was all blurry with bits and pieces here and there.

The previous owner was an underachieving loner who would rather put his nose in a book than even consider training, author, that's what he wanted to be. It was an admirable goal but compared to his true potential...

I clenched my fist and unclenched in marvel at the pale skin, I was alive.

That was the reality of it…

And I was going to make sure that it always remained true.

Ten levels? That's the limit of the skill? I frowned, was the creator not as strong as I thought?

If you must know, there are tiers, and that's all I'm going to say. You must discover the rest by yourself.

I gave a hum as I dismissed the skill list, it would be easy to reach the level cap of Observebut right now wasn't the time, I needed to get as much info as possible and most importantly determine where I was in the anime.

I frown as I look at my MP stat, shouldn't it be lower? Was this a mistake on the Gamer System's part

Do I have to explain everything to you? Idiot, click on your class.

Allows the user to gain WIS and INT stats easier, grants the user 100 MP per level

My eyes revealed delight, leveling up such a skill would give a huge boon to my MP stat and indirectly help my clan magic drastically.

But that doesn't explain the other 100 MP and HP that I somehow obtained, a smirk arises from my features as I hear the Gamer System take a deep annoyed sigh.

A robotic feminine sigh doesn't sound all that nice, until it is filled with annoyance.

With every level you obtain 100 MP and HP.

Now, was that so hard? Hearing a grumbling "Kill yourself" without the text box, I proceeded to check my skills for my clan magic.

And speaking of my clan magic, there was the Power of Dreamwhich was most likely the aforementioned sorcery, dream manipulation? I would never have guessed that, I frowned, how can dream manipulation even be used?

A soft knock came from outside my door, and with little hesitation I answered.

"It's open." The door was slowly opened to reveal what someone would describe as a typical maid. She wore the modern portrayal of a maid outfit; her shin-length black uniform was adorned with soft white frills, while an equally-frilly white headdress sat on her soft brown locks. Sitting above her smooth, flushed cheeks, the maid's expressive deep blue eyes looked at me. Well, by 'typical maid,' I also meant she was really cute too.

"Good morning young master, your father and elder brother are waiting for you in the dining hall." She gave a short bow as I gave a nod of acknowledgment, and at her departure I then frowned.

I didn't have enough time to sort through my memories so I couldn't exactly tell if my response was the correct one, I could only hope it was as I gave a small glance to my clothing, dark blue pajamas.

I stood up from my bed and quickly located a mirror as much to my surprise, an extremely young feminine looking boy looked back at me, the same abyss like eyes. I gave a few turns to inspect myself as I ran a hand through my rather long silky hair.

The long ink black hair honestly only added to the feminine look, well I didn't look that feminine, I just looked like a beautiful little kid. But that doesn't mean the little side effect of the perk will go away...

With a sigh, I began changing while sorting through the memories.

After getting comfortable in my new clothing, and remembering to wear the pair of glasses, I walked down the hall with a slow pacing. Without the memories, I would've easily gotten lost- which would be a whole set of problems on its own.

Apparently, the previous owner would spend all of his time in the library, so taking a sharp turn, I allow a small gasp to exude from my mouth as my eyes take in the view that is the library.

Mountains upon mountains of books covering all topics appear in front of my eyes, the smell of paper fills my nostrils as I reveal a hungry grin.

Dining Hall

In the dining hall, two figures sat opposite of one another: the older male sat calmly as his knife dug into the steak, while the other showed clear impatience and irritation as his foot consistently tapped against the ground.

"Father! How can you stand his blatant disrespect?" The silence was broken as the eldest brother asked through gnashed teeth.

"How can you stand his behavior?! He even refuses to train!" His fists clench at the expressionless face of his father, as said older male sighed and placed his knife down.

"He's young my son, the... experience he has gone through is different for someone his age." The father's expression gave a rare sign of sadness as the Eldest glared.

"It was his entire fault…" the eldest muttered bitterly, "If only his bir-"

"Neru!" The room was flooded with a hue of pink as the eldest son suddenly found the floor interesting to look at.

"Your mother's passing has nothing to do with Tsuki, it was her decision and greatest honor to give birth to one who has inherited the Power of Dream, he'll soon come around and train, with his talent he can even become the heir" As his father continued eating, the color of the room stabilized as Neru could only grit his teeth with clenched fist.

It didn't feel fair for him at all.

Neru felt that the obvious favoritism came from the fact Tsuki was the one who inherited the Power of Dream while he didn't, it was the cruel reality he faced when Tsuki was born. When he realized this he settled on becoming the favorite son, clan magic or not.

He, the eldest son, trained his magic reserves and body to the pain of exhaustion all in hopes of holding a place within his father's heart, he was the one who trained till he was battered and bruised, he was the one who studied until he collapsed.

But in spite of all that, it was always Tsuki, the small fifteen year old- despite being a full six years his junior- always came first in their father's eyes. The mere thought frustrated, if only he had the Power of Dream, if only Tsuki didn't have it!

Neru gnashed his teeth in long-held frustration- his knuckles turning white around his dining utensils.

If Tsuki even bothered training his clan magic, Neru would be stripped of his birthright as the oldest to be heir, he knew it, his father knew it, and even the maids knew this fact.

It was a good thing that Tsuki never showed anything as ambitious as what his father was planning Tsuki to be: All the brat had to do was coop up in his little books until his father saw Neru most suited to be heir.

When being reincarnated into the world of DxD; I envisioned myself to be a few years behind canon, if my body's age told me anything. I, of course, was terribly mistaken.

While I entered the depths of the vast Library and Archives of the Satanachia clan; I took the opportunity to skim through old scriptures and documents written down by grandfather, there wasn't any harm.

It could possibly even give detail to some family skills; but fate had different plans.

Passage 1

No one truly knows how the war started, Angels? Doubtful, odds are that the filthy crows ignited this idiotic conflict. It mattered little now, the Six houses of Lucifer have already been summoned for a meeting

Tensions are high, there was no choice for refusal or opportunity to compromise with the other races; the domineering letter by Lucifer wasn't so subtle about it.

I fear that while war is all but officially announced; it is soon to begin. All I hope is that my child stays out of it.

Horror struck me, each document or passage written by grandfather was recorded in chronological time. The fact that it was located in the "Past hundred year section" meant one single thing.

I wasn't born a day or two before canon; nor was I even close to the storyline, I was born a full five hundred years before the main course of events even had the chance of happening.

I gnashed my teeth, with just one document the pressure upon me increased; possible routes and plans to assure my path to war all but crumbling down.

While nobody else held an inkling, I knew the horrific fact that Devil Civil War would begin; while I didn't specifically know the exact time period or how long I had until then. It was only a matter of time before then.

Ohhh~ things are getting good. Not even I expected this little twist.

Clenching my fist, I could only bitterly swallow a single fact; hell would be thrown into chaos. Under different circumstances, I would've chuckled; but a sense of impending doom and dread began to invade my heart.

With even more vigor and determination; my speed increased twofold as I skimmed through the entire library for a clue, anything really, to my Clan's magic.

Unfortunately, things didn't go as well as I had hoped they would.

Eye twitching in frustration; a loud groan of exasperation left my throat. None of the documents explained anything touching on the subject of Power of Dream, only leaving a trail of bits of the history behind it and what it specialized in.

While I did love reading the history behind it, I would've loved it more if it gained me any skills.

Apparently, thePower of Dreamwasmost specialized in infiltration and intelligence gathering, going into the dreams of other people and gaining information from enemy lines .One ability I did learn about was called Dream Walkerthat allowed the user to physically hop between dreams and leave them, it acted as if the enemy was carrying a weightless package the entire time.

The user could leave at any time and kill their enemy.

Just this ability had me scavenging through the entire library for any other mention of the skill, I could only begin grasping at the power and began drawing questions, what other skills were there? What place did the Satanachia clan hold among the others? What was the situation regarding the rebels?

Walking down the long shelves, I desperately searched for answers only to growl as I pulled a book with a title called "Gentleman's Etiquette" I tossed it away as I continued on.

Eventually, I found myself sitting on a pile of books, my face leaning onto my clenched fist as I frowned before looking around.

Now wasn't the time to mope about skills, despite the fact I was born in one of the strongest clans I couldn't leave out the obvious Gamer System and the mere fact that I possess it is troublesome.

The power to transcend all beings? To get a 100% accurate strength reading of a being? To rip apart dimensions and learn all skills in known existence and even create those never thought of? It would be a miracle if even God wasn't interested.

Ignoring the pain that throbbed in my head, due to the mention of the name; my eyes glanced everywhere, using the observe at each angle.

[Observe leveled up!]

[Observe leveled up!]

Because I was in a library, the most common item that was observed was a book, along with shelves. I gave a sharp sigh, there wasn't any way to figure out if I was being watched, my skill level wasn't that high so it was no wonder.

+1 WIS for surprising the Gamer System; congrats, you're not a dumbass

...

Anyways, I couldn't be sure I wasn't being watched so I couldn't blatantly access the Gamer system like Observe; my best bet would be to merely wait until I was of age to roam around freely but that was too much time before then.

Seeing no other choice, I dug deeper into the memories of the previous owner. It was like trying to remember something you've never done before or have experienced; it was an uncomfortable and weirdly nostalgic feeling.

The one word he would use to describe Tsuki would be... loner.

After being the cause of his mother's death by birth, he was shunned by his father and brother, leaving him all alone with only the maids to take care of him. He lived a life where he found no love and could only use the comfort of books to pass the time.

In his world, Tsuki could only be described as a genius, self taught, highly perceptive, terrifyingly intelligent, and knowledgeable. But to the devils, it was only expected of him, and that only made him wonder how Rias ended up how she did.

Tsuki practically lived in the library until... he discovered his powers. Immediately, his father changed and tried to encourage him to train.

His older brother had shot Tsuki with a hatred-filled glare then. And Tsuki was better off for it, because the original Tsuki wanted nothing to do with him as it meant that he wouldn't be bothered or disturbed in the library.

Just... silence.

In a way, I knew how Tsuki felt... Well, I am Tsuki now, but I knew what he had felt.

Shunned, ignored, left all alone because of my lack of talent compared to my family. Meanwhile, Tsuki was shunned for his mother's death. Two situations that we both couldn't change...

But now I've gained a chance to change all of that...

"Stats, put 25 points into wisdom"

Kind of 'unwise' isn't it? You should save them up until your level becomes too hard to increase or some boss fights.

There's no point in holding off on using them if I won't get the chance to grind at all; showcasing the power to rip apart dimensions would lead to questions and with the Power of DreamI'm afraid the entire gamer system will be revealed.

I've got to remember that while I hold the most powerful clan magic in the underworld, so does another far more experienced and older devil; even if he became an ally, the Gamer System is something I am going to bury to the grave with me.

Ugh, I don't want to be buried with you.

Neither do I.

As I place all my stat points into Wisdom, my eyes widen. Every feature before my eyes expanded, every little memory grew clearer, it felt as if the previous task of dwelling into the memories of Tsuki was trivial and mundane; every little detail of his life seemed to be in front of me.

Am I stupid?

Yes.

Ignoring the sass from the robotic voice, I groan, I could've stayed in my room and used ID Create immediately to give the facade I was gone or somewhere deep in the library where no sensory magic is or whatever this household has.

While it would've been risky, I could've at least gained a solid grasp of the potential of the Power of Dream.

The ID could've given me time to grind till I reached a point in which I don't have to worry about my mind being picked on for information.

And what do I mean Observeisn't worth leveling up?! It was one of the classic skills for a reason, it was one that could assess every situation, give deep info on anyone and everything; if I bothered to level it up I could find a possible trace of any security and avoid them.

And the fact I could've used the monocle in the first place, how did I forget that?!

WOW, you fucked up a lot of times.

For the first and hopefully only time, I agree.

But now wasn't the time to mope around, my chance to pull out the monocle is long gone. Hell, I don't even know the aspects of my inventory, so then how could I get out of here to grind without drawing suspicion?

The Satanachia estate consisted of seven lavish bed chambers, a storage area, an armory, a great vault, a grand dining hall, several generously-sized guest rooms, and a lot more to offer but what I was focused on was the fact that it had over ten thousand acres of land.

Disappearing seemingly out of nowhere would draw attention, but disappearing in that much land? It would take time to inspect every single acre of land in a single day and even then they can't expect me to not move.

I frown.

And from my memory, there was only one use for that area and one person who needs to be dealt with.

000

Admittedly, he should've treated Tsuki better, he should've known that his wife would give birth to the only other user of the Power of Dream; if he had so he could've had Tsuki training ages ago and take his rightful place as heir, and that would've been only the first step.

Scrutinizing the letter he held in his grasp; his lips thinned out and soon curled into a light frown, he was hoping he could cling onto what little time he had hoped he would have but sadly he was mistaken.

Eyeing the majestic and rich silver wax seal; he knew he couldn't keep the matter of his son concealed any longer. The contents of the letter was basically an invitation given to all high ranking houses, which included the Six houses of Lucifer.

It was to demonstrate a show of power, every significant figure in the underworld attending a ball hosted by the Descendants of the Original Satans. It was honestly insignificant and not noteworthy, but the event also had other reasons for its existence.

While it was indeed a show of power by the Six Houses and the Descendents, it was also a chance for negotiations to spring about and for dormant stars to finally shine; which was due to the other reason.

The Morningstar Auction that comes every decade -due to circumstances it had to be postponed until now- it gave geniuses a time to shine as they present their creations and sell them off to the highest bidder, some even get hired if they're from a small family or an alliance is formed.

Of course, there's one final affair that happens in the end.

The meeting of the Lucifer Six and the Children of three of the four Original Satans… with rebellion slowly rising and the blatant disregard from the son of their leader; it was up to them to handle the underworld.

But while they seemed like allies, and it was true; they also held power struggles of their own. And the Satanachia family had held onto the commander position, just below the Lucifage household.

But he knew it was only a matter of time before they fell in place; having only a single member with the Power of Dream gave off the wrong impression.

If only one of his sons was willing, if he was strong enough before the meeting; he could show a strong front that the Satanachia family was still as strong as the olden days, no, even stronger,

Unfortunately, he didn't hold his hopes up; forcing Tsuki would only cause betrayal down the line and he would rather avoid that.

Sighing softly; he placed the opened letter upon his desk as he heard the door being knocked on, he raised an eyebrow but gave permission,

"Come in."

Out of all the people that could've knocked and opened the door; his bookworm of a son was certainly not one of them,

"Pardon me father, I didn't mean to interrupt you." Closing the door behind him, the young boy shuffled in place as Doku cleared his throat.

"No, no, I wasn't busy, no worries my son." He assured, wisps of invisible pinkish smoke scooting the letter out of sight.

His son pushed his glasses upwards as he took a deep breath, Doku briefly wondered what his son desired, more books? Satan knows he's probably read them all, or did he desire an allowance? No matter what, Doku was ready to agree.

"I want... I want access to the training fields" Despite preparing himself and even ready to offer him the heir position if he so much as asked, his posture froze as his mouth turned slightly agape, to his credit it only took him a second to regain his bearings.

"The... training fields?" Despite his steady expression and tone, excitement rose in his heart and it was only further elevated as his son nodded.

"I want to prove to you that... my mother did not die in vain," His voice was unwavering and resolute. "She gave her life in exchange for mine, and I want to see to it that she didn't make the wrong choice."

A smile crept up Doku's face, his heart pounded with joy, was it finally time? For the rightful heir to take his place and lead the Satanachia Clan?

"That's very mature of you," he said in the most fatherly voice that he could muster, "and I didn't expect anything less from you. Very well, I'll make sure to notify the staff."

With a small smile, Tsuki gave a curt bow and a thank you as he left.

Doku, with his own smile, opened up his desk cabinet and pulled out a wine bottle. He swore he would open this once another user blessed with the Power of Dream was born, but he never had the chance to even after Tsuki discovered his Clan Magic.

But now, with comfort and excitement, he opened the wine bottle as he reveled in the deep elegant fragrance of the bottle that hasn't been opened for centuries. And unlike mortal wines, devil-made wines only grow more fragrant and valuable as they age into the centuries.

Pouring himself a cup, Doku raised his glass and toasted it to an old photo, his voice in a soft and solemn whisper.

"Your sacrifice will be worth it my dear..."

000

Walking down a hall, I sigh.

That was much more difficult, having the memories of Tsuki didn't necessarily mean I could act like him. But luckily, I obtained a skill the moment I opened my mouth.

[Silver Tongue] -LVL 2/20 (21%) [Novice]

All con artists and merchants are put into shame as the user is able to hassle and lie with the best of them.

Effect: CHA increased by 2% while persuading

Charisma Check Passed [Req CHA = 80, CHA = 102]

Despite the fact my CHA stat dropped back to 100, it was obvious to see that it didn't increase the base stat of my CHA stat. It only increased it after the racial bonus was considered, and that made things a whole lot easier.

Pausing in place, I turned around and bowed.

"Good morning Neru." The figure's eyes widened as he seemingly emerged from out the shadows of the hall, his obscured presence turned visible for all to see. I quietly noted that the maids didn't even flinch- which meant that they were well-aware of his habits and always expected Neru to be lurking somewhere close by.

"Tsuki, " His tone was clipped and straightforward, he either has a false sense of superiority or he's anxious, "what were you doing talking with father?"

'Observe'

Neru Satanachia

Level - ?

Class - Warrior

Race - Devil

Alignment - Satanachia Clan

I couldn't gain any information on my father, not even his class which only left his alignment, race, and name open for me to see. It was a bit of relief that Neru wasn't the same, which meant it would be easy to catch up to him.

Adn although I couldn't see his stats, that only meant Observe wasn't that high level.

I smile brightly at him.

"Father just gave me permission to use the training fields," I replied cheerfully," I know I haven't been doing much to show my worth so I've decided to finally train to what my father expects of me, I hope I live up to his expectations"

I straightened up as I saw the faintest signs of anger and frustration flash through Neru's face. But it vanished just as quickly as it appeared.

"I'm glad you're using your time productively instead of being in the library," he rebutted in a sugary, condescending tone, "Maybe one day we can have a little spar once you get stronger, well, I must be off. I have a matter to discuss with father."

Watching him enter Doku's office, I smile.

How aggressive.

I was used to subtle insults by now, and he wasn't any different.

Shaking my head ruefully, I began heading to the training fields, if my theory was correct in where I stood in the timeline; I had to increase my own power by leaps and bounds.

000

Damn, damn, damn it!

I breathed deeply as I ran, each and every step reverberating within the deep abandoned and dilapidated city, hoards of very hungry zombies trailing me.

Despite putting so many points in wisdom, you're still a dumbass.

Shut up!

The tens of thousands of acres worked perfectly with fields upon fields of land to cover any traces of the use of ID Create. No magic could possibly cover that much land unless Doku was a Satan; and that wasn't confirmed but a little digging through the Devil-Net had made me sigh in relief.

Doku was somewhat near Satan Class but was mostly specialized in Intelligence Gathering during the war. Funnily enough, he even gained a nickname Dream Snatcher; and despite his infamy in the three factions, he didn't have enough power to cover tens of thousands of acres of land.

I think.

In hindsight, when I used the skill, I should have tested the strength of a zombie and not just assume they were all weak like in the manhwa or those fanfics. But oh no, someone just had to convince me to gather them all up and fight them off.

HEY, you can't put the blame on me! I only gave you a quest to kill 25 zombies, and I SUGGESTED to round them up so it'll be easier.

[Quest Added!]

[Kill, Kill, and more Kill]

Objective

-kill 25 Zombies

Bonus Objective

-?

Reward: 1,500 EXP

Bonus Reward: ?

Failure: EXP Reduction

Time: 1 Hour

The one good thing was the fact my body seemed to be able to run forever, the not so good part was that zombies were the same, and why?

Devil (Zombie)

Level - 1

Class - None

Race - Devil (Zombie)

Alignment - Self

HP - 240

MP - 80

STR - 8 (4x) = 32

END - 6 (4x) = 24

DEX - 5 (4x) = 20

INT - 1 (4x) = 4

WIS - 1 (4x) = 4

CHA- 0 (4x) = 0

LCK - 5 (4x) = 20

Oh sure, compared to my stats it didn't seem much, but there's meaning in there's strength in numbers; one vs one wasn't so bad, a few dozen vs one? Adding to the fact that the more I ran with such a large hoard more seemed to be coming, it slowly began limiting my options for running in an abandoned city.

I refuse to leave. I wasn't about to turn tail with such a large group XP.

Focusing on my hand while running, I allowed pink like mist to seep out.

It was slow and unstable, but I began concentrating. If the Power of Dreamwas anything like the Power of Destruction then I could compress it or shape it. A vicious grin began to form on my face as a small disfigured arrow was formed.

[Skill Created!]

[Dream Arrow] -LVL 1/10 (0%) [Novice]

Through the use of the Power of Dream, the user can shape the mist of the Power of Dream to form an arrow.

Cost: 10 MP

Damage: 25

Effect: Small chance to inflict status [Sleep]

Rarity: Uncommon

Oh, this was good.

Although a bit on the weak side, it made up for it's quantity in quality as they levitated around my body. A quick glance to the side showed a list of the MP drain I'm sustaining- I can roughly recover 6 MP per second so I couldn't sustain them for long.

Taking a quick look, I shot four out of seven pink incorporeal arrows at them, three of them hit the first zombie's body while the final one hit the head in just the right angle to tear apart a large chunk of its rotting face.

[CRIT! Double Damage!]

[50 DMG Dealt!]

I should've known that.

While it was a cowardly strategy, I kept running, using obstacles around the city to detour them as I shot out Dream Arrows to kill them slowly; I soon frowned as I realized not once had a zombie fallen asleep.

They don't have a conscious dumbass, they're basically always sleeping, it's like sleep walking to them. Can't make something sleep that's already asleep.

Grumbling at my luck, I kept running.

Eventually after a dozen arrows, the first Zombie dropped onto the ground, his companions stepping on his body as they paid no mind.

[Dream Arrow leveled up!]

[Level up!]

Pleased at the notification, I kept using the same tactic. And while I would've preferred my first adventure in the ID to be smoother and more coordinated, being alive was far more important than a smooth dungeon run.

I soon frown as I notice my MP has been completely drained, and I can't even consider making another skill... So what now?

I don't know? Throw rocks at them?

That's... not a bad idea, as I thought so I grabbed a slightly decomposed and threw it with as much force as possible, much to my surprise the entire head was smashed in as I got notification for the death of the zombie.

[Skill gained!]

[Loot gained!]

I was just kidding, but sure whatever works I guess.

How the hell is a random brick throw stronger than the Power of Dream?

Well, your magic wasn't exactly meant for combat in the first place, sure it's stupidly strong but that's in the later stages. Also, check your skills, dumbass.

[Throw] -LVL 1/20 (39%) [Novice]

All weighted objects thrown will inflict a certain degree of damage.

Effect: [STR * Weight * 1.1] or if throwing a weapon [STR * Weight * 1.1 + Weapon DMG]

Rarity: Common

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry, on one hand Throwmight possibly be the strongest skill in my current arsenal, on the other hand Throw, a normal skill, might be the strongest ability I have...

Shaking away those thoughts, I noted with a frown that my most recent kill didn't level me up, just how much is the gap between each level?

Honestly? No idea, my creator manages that.

Just great.

I sighed as I kept grabbing concrete bricks or metal poles and launching them towards the hoard of zombies with as much accuracy as possible, each impact doing significant damage which made me all the more saddened about Power of Dream.

It was until my seventh time I grabbed a piece of broken off concrete that I realized I was seriously strong. Sure I knew devils were beyond all human capabilities, but I was a goddamn fifteen year old.

As I marveled at my strength, I took a chance to inspect what exactly I received from my first kill as I opened my inventory.

[Used Dagger]

A common used dagger, nothing special about it

Durability: 48/100

DMG: STR + 7

Rarity: Common

I sigh as I pull it out of my inventory. The box that represented my inventory rippled as the item was drawn out. Inspecting the Used Dagger; I hum.

It was a classic silver dagger, a dry wooden hilt, rusty steel cross guards that showed the weapon's age; really nothing special.

My eyes glaze over to the hoards of zombies, putting my wisdom into use. I try to find the most viable option. I can only throw so much until I run out or get cornered and my mana is already depleted which means no Dream arrowor making a new skill.

I clench the dagger, that means my only viable option would be to fight.

Oh man, this is going to be fun to watch.

I grumble, this'll be a pain in the ass, is this how I'll die? With a rusty knife and a bitching gamer system?

Oh quit your bitching, here.

[Weapon Proficiency] -LVL 1/100 (0%) [Novice]

Grants the user ever increasing skill involving all known and unknown weapons.

Effect: All weapons in the user's hand gains a 1% DMG increase

Rarity: Rare

I gave a satisfied sigh, that's more like it; while it wasn't much of an increase, every little bit helps. And if I survive this stupid encounter than I just received a very useful and overpowered ability.

Glancing at the broken down building beside me and then towards the horde of zombies slowly heading towards me, I make a decision that may kill or save me; running inside, I ignore the voice of confusion from the Gamer System.

Going up the stairs with as much speed as possible, I hissed at the phantom pain as I scraped the side of my calf, but it was gone as soon as it appeared. The perks of being a Gamer.

I immediately noticed a difference from my previous life as I practically flew towards the other side of the stairs with a single running jump; this made me realize all one little fact that has been hidden from the anime.

Devils were strong, stupidly strong, or more precisely they were more advanced than the human race as a collective whole.

The peak of human capability didn't allow one to throw a metal pole with enough accuracy to skewer 6 zombies through the stomach (They still kept walking, but it was hilarious) in succession.

Just how much did they downplay the strength of devils? No, of the entire three factions compared to humans?

I came to a frightening conclusion and realization: I dodged a bullet when I chose my race, because humans could never compare to devils. Reincarnated devils? Sure, but there was no way I was going to become the slave of some egotistical asshole.

And knowing my luck, I had very slim chances of being reincarnated as a past hero.

Finally reaching the top of the building, I looked around, destruction and chaos; zombies lodging around in every corner, the sky overturned with a void like scenery hanging above me. It was quite breathtaking.

Looking at the zombies slowly climbing the stairs, it would take them a bit more than a minute to reach me, unfortunately by climbing the tower I just cut off my only source of exit besides falling to my death.

Shooting 4 Dream Arrowsonto the closest one, I bought a little more time as it stumbled onto its fellow brethren. Watching as every single one of the undead finally entered the building, I took deep breaths.

This has got to be the stupidest thing I'll ever do.

I sincerely doubt that... wait, what are you even doing?

Taking one final deep breath, I took a leap of fate as I jumped down from the building, embedding the dagger as deep into the side of the building as I could; trying to slow down by descent by as much as possible as I grit my teeth at the pain of straining my muscles.

While any pain would usually vanish, this was constant pain; he could only bear it as he saw the weapon's durability took a nosedive.

I knew you were stupid, but this is taking it to whole other level.

My eyes widened as the weapon in hand broke, the pieces turning into black shards as they vanished before my eyes.

'fu-'

With a barely kept scream I crashed onto the floor, the pain causing the kept in scream to nearly burst, but I bit my lip hard enough to draw blood.

[You have suffered 245 DMG]

[Skill Gained!]

[Damage Reduction] -LVL 2/100 (21%) [Novice] (Passive)

All Damage dealt upon the user's body will be reduced to a certain degree.

Effect: All DMG reduced by 1.2%

Rarity: Common

Well at least I got a decent skill out of nearly dying.

Steadily getting up, I stagger back before falling on my ass again; much to my horror and soon fascination, the feeling of my legs start to fade only for the sensation to be regained soon enough in seconds.

Luckily for you, Gamer's body prevents any injury from lasting long even though your HP suffered; so congrats, you're not paralyzed for life.

Ignoring the confetti that popped up on the corner of my vision with the words "congrats dumbass you're alive," I slowly got up, a smile of relief replacing my features as I began to realize just how utterly broken Gamer's body is.

Despite the fact that my health took a sharp dive as it was more than halved, no bodily wounds could be seen. Hell, I didn't even feel injured at all.

It was just now that it truly sunk in: I was Tsuki Satanachia, a devil who possesses the Gamer System. There was a moment of silence as I stared at my hand, even the Gamer System's usual sounds of mock were silenced.

Clenching the hand, I sent a single jab towards the corner of the building; much to my astonishment my fist broke right through the broken down concrete.

[You have suffered 5 DMG]

The average human can't break through solid concrete with ease, broken down or not. How the hell was I stronger than an adult male already? Well, I took some damage but my hand wasn't in any way.

Well, all humans are born with their stats in the single digits. All devils are born with double digits; and while you're not stronger than the average male devil, you're stronger than the peak strength of what humans can achieve. Well, as long as they're not legends reborn.

Nodding at the message, I realize just how weak humans are in the grand scheme of things. Fanfics where the MC was a human? Yeah, good luck with that without having some plot armor or OP isekai weapon.

With a determined expression, I proceeded to rip apart the lower part of the building, the minimap at the top corner of my vision telling me they're starting to notice as I quicken my actions.

What the hell are you actually even doing?

Finally speaking, I ignore the remark as I punch away through the building. Luckily it was already dilapidated so time itself already did most of the work.

Ignoring the bruises that appeared and vanished along with my trickling down HP, I kept a steady pace as the building began tilting. My eyes shone with excitement as wrenching sounds filled my ears.

Soon enough, a few zombies seemed to have been smart enough to head for the exit, but unluckily for them as I ran into a safe distance. I watched the building fall with all the zombies inside- none were fast enough to escape.

The roar of crumbling the building masked the sound of the frail zombie bodies pulping under the many tonnes of concrete; until finally, the sound of tumbling rock faded away- leaving nothing but silence as the broken bodies of the zombie horde laid unmoving in the rubble of their concrete tomb.

Giving a tired sigh, I collapse onto the floor as the repetitive dinging resounds within my ears. With every level, my stat points jump up by 5 points along with a free heal.

Sometimes I don't get you, why didn't you just fly in the air? You have wings right?

My expression was one of complete contemplation as I sat and wondered if my intelligence had fallen since reincarnation.

[User has reached level 8!]

I'm too stressed.

I came to the conclusion that I had too much on my plate, from guarding the secret of the Gamer System to trying to obtain as much power as before canon.

Who said getting power would be easy? There's a reason why no one has obtained Absolute Power.

Feeling Gamer's Mind soon came into effect, the weight of the world seemed to fall off my shoulders- the cool breeze that tickled my skin doing wonders for me.

I shouldn't feel sorry for myself, because I chose this- I wanted this for all of my life. The chance to prove that I was better, and as edgy as it may sound: to show them, to show myself, I was above my family.

Ouch, I just cut myself on that edge.

Actually laughing at the mocking, I sat up with ragged clothes covering my body. Yeah, I don't know how I'm going to explain that.

...here, you idiot.

Right before my eyes a screen popped up in front of me, Gamer Shop.

I raised an eyebrow at the sudden act of kindness from the usually snarky and sarcastic Gamer System, where was this coming from? Refusing to answer, the Gamer System opened the shop for me.

Oh wow, it had just about everything I could ever desire, potions, weapons, armors, hell even a +10 all stat scroll increase. Attempting to buy it, an error message popped up.

[+10 all stat increase Scroll]

A scroll that allows the user to increase all stats by 10 points whenever they desire.

Sighing, I knew my luck wasn't that good to be able to buy such a game breaking item; oh well, for now it seemed unlikely I would be able to buy numerous amounts any time soon.

Scrolling through the clothing section, I eventually find a replica of my own clothes through a little help with the Gamer System. Again, why was it being kind?

Y-You shut up, alright? Idiot.

Oh my Satan...

It all made sense now.

No, no, NO! Don't you dare say it!

You're… a tsundere!

Laughter erupted within me as I held a hand to my forehead, the joyous sound echoed within the ruined city as I could almost feel the Gamer System's embarrassment.

I closed my eyes for a moment to drink in the increasingly flustered denials of the Gamer System ringing in my mind. All in all, I could say that I had a good day. I reached level eight, gained a few new useful skills, and I even identified the Gamer System's personality into a category.

Tipping my surprisingly not broken glasses I looked out in the desolate broken down city, I allowed a hungry grin to settle on my features as zombies slowly crawled forth. With beginner's luck activated, what are my chances of gaining some good loot?

P-pretty high…
