My new series. Hope you all like it.

Zoro and Sanji stood there in the empty hallway. Just the two of them. It's quiet, no one else is by, to busy with after school clubs or activities. Zoro had stopped Sanji from walking, he had something to say apparently. They've known each other for a long time now. Almost three years. But no one would call them friends. But labels never mattered to Zoro.

Zoro takes a deep breath. He had to tell him how he feels. School has just started and already he feels that keeping his feelings a secret is causing him to fall behind in not only his studies but also his fighting. He wants to become the captain of the kendo club and he can't do that if all he could think about is Sanji. It doesn't help that they sit right next to each other. It's time he step up. No more hiding, it's time his feeling were put out in the open.

"I love you." Zoro says looking straight at Sanji. No fear in his eyes, no worries. It was almost nieve of him to think that, no worries, right. What could possible happen when confessing your love to someone? It's amazing how three small words, I, love, and you can change everything. For better or worse? Only time will tell.

"What?" Sanji asks. He looks around the empty hallway. This has to be a prank. No way Roronoa Zoro, the demon, as he is known throughout school, has feelings. Especially not to him. The only thing he thinks about is eating, sleeping and working out. "You mean like a friend?" Sanji asks. Honestly even that is surprising. Sanji thought Zoro sees him nothing more than a bug waiting to get stopped on. Well he's no better.

"No," Zoro shakes his head, "I mean romantically." Zoro, for the first time in his life felt nervous. His palms were a little sweaty as he grip onto his slacks. He didn't know where to look, he just knew he didn't want to look at Sanji. Not yet.

After what felt like a lifetime Zoro finally look at Sanji to see he's shocked. Which is understandable. They hardly talked to each other, unless you count arguing over the smallest of things that shouldn't be fought over.

Sanji's face changed from shock to disgust. "You're sick!" Sanji yells stepping away from Zoro. Far away. "I can't believe you've been looking at me that way! How can someone love a person like you. Keep you're disgusting body and mind can stay away from me. Don't look at me or come near me again!" Sanji shouts. "I hope you regret falling in love with men." He walks off, well more like runs. Zoro looks down at his feet as he bite his lip close. He rubbed the sweat off his hands. Now that that's over. The green haired man walks away. Zoro's face didn't change at all, he is actually impressed with himself. He held in his emotions till the end. All the way till the end. Till he made it home till after he ate dinner and after he showered. Once he lay on his bed all those hurt feelings came out. He hugged his pillow, smothering his cries. He's home alone but he still didn't want his cries to be heard, or let out of this room. He knew that's the answers he was going to get. Well not word for word but thought something along those lines and lets say Zoro doesn't have a good imagination.

What Zoro thought Sanji was going to say was a lot better than what he actually said. He was glad that when he confessed it was a Friday so the next day he didn't show up with puffy eyes.

He cried all that night. Even some on the weekend.

Coming that Monday, he was all cried out. He walked into school with his head held high, no one can't say he wasn't brave. If they were to know more about Zoro anyone would say he has guts to confess. So he talked to the teacher for a seat change. The teacher was obviously curious as to why and he just said them fighting was getting in the way of his grades and if his grades suffer then he can't play kendo. It wasn't a complete lie, he wouldn't be able to play in tournaments if his grades were bad. It is one of the reasons why he got his heart crushed. The teacher did one better and changed both their seats, Zoro sat in the back near the window and Sanji sat in the front closer to the door of the classroom. Zoro was glad for many reasons. He also knew Sanji was happy about the arrangement, even if the blonde did ignore him. Very obviously too. It was shocking for their friends but they didn't comment on it because it made sense. Why are the two who are always fighting even seated next to each other. With this his two year crush died. Now they can become friends one day. That would be something.

I. Love. You.

Three small words that were the beginning to the end. And know one knew because Zoro never told them. That is until someone accidentally found out.
