Chapter 1: The unsinkable ship

I gasped when Rose, Cal, Ruth, and the rest of the family got out of the car and looked at a big ship in front of us. The ship is called Titanic, one of the biggest ships in the world. This ship is called 'the unsinkable ship' because people thought the ship was unsinkable due to its size. There were only 20 lifeboats on the ship because people think the ship didn't need the right amount due to people thinking the ship was unsinkable.

The year is April 10th, 2021. We are scheduled to go on the Titanic to North America, in New York to get a better life. I am the Biological daughter of Cal and Rose. I found my real parents after I ran away from home. My adoptive family was going on the trip with us to New York since they had found me after I had run away to get away from Cato's abusiveness. Cal and Rose are supposed to get married when we arrive in New York.

Rose looked at the ship but she didn't seem impressed. I was excited to be on the ship though because it was huge. "Oh my god, look at that ship!" Glimmer cried. "I don't see what all the fuss is about. It doesn't look any bigger than the Mauretania." Rose said.

"You can be blase about some things Rose...But not about the Titanic. It's over 100 feet longer than the Mauretania and far more luxurious. Your daughter is far too difficult to impress, Ruth." Cal said. "What is there not to be impressed about? This ship is big as fuck and has everything you could ask for." Clove said. "So this is the ship they say is unsinkable," Ruth said. "It is unsinkable. God himself could not sink this ship." Cal said, still admiring the ship.

"Sir!" A man called. "What?!" Cale said. "You have to check your baggage through the main terminal. It's round that way, sir." The man said. "I put my fath in you, good sir." Cal said as he handed the man something. "Now kindly see my man," Cal said. "Yes sir, it's my pleasure, sir." The man said. "Come on, let's board the ship," Johanna said as she took my hand. "I'm excited to see the inside of the ship," I said. "I know, me too," Johanna said.

As we were about to board though, Cato grabbed me by the arm. "I expect you to be on your best behavior while we are on that ship because we are in first class. Do you understand, Lana?" Cato said. "Yes, Cato," I said. Good, because if you don't then this will happen." Cato said when he shocked me. I cried out in pain. I still had the stupid shock collar and I can't get it off unless we have the key but Cato keeps the key well hidden.

Once we got onto the ship we put our stuff in our cabin. Our cabin was very nice. It had a few rooms, each room had a couple of beds with a nice tv. There was a nice big screen tv mounted up in front of the fireplace with some nice carpets and luxurious couches in the living room. "Come on, let's go watch the ship take off," Peeta said. "Okay!" I said, excitedly. I followed my family out to the deck where people who were on the ship gathered around.

People who were on ground level gathered around to wave to the people on the ship. This was amazing. I got my phone out and took a few pictures. "Well, what do you think of the ship?" Katniss asked me. "This is awesome, I have never been on something this big before," I said. "I still don't understand how we're able to pay for first-class tickets though since we are from District 12," I said. "We were able to use our winnings from the hunger games.

And Rose's mother paid for some of the tickets too." Katniss said. "Oh okay," I said. I climbed on the railing and waved to the people on the ground. People on the ship were shouting good-bye to their families as the ship was leaving. "Be careful Lana, don't fall over board," Johanna said.

"Don't worry babe, I'm being...Agh!" I cried when I felt Clove push me. Clove laughed. Luckily I was holding onto the railing so I didn't fall. "hehe." Clove said. "Not funny!" I shouted. "Come on guys, let's just enjoy this trip," Peeta said.

When the ship was in open waters, we decided to go back to the cabin to unpack our things. Rose was picking out a painting to put on display. "Lana, wanna help me pick out a painting?" Rose said. "Sure mommy," I said. "This one?" The maid asked Rose. "No, it had a lot of faces on it," Rose said. "This is the one. What do you think Lana?" Rose asked me. "Yeah, I like it," I said. "Would you like all of them out, miss?" The maid asked.

"Yes. We need a little color in this room." Rose said. "How about the tv for color too?" I said and turned the tv on to RWBY. "Lana, how 'bout we put the tv away and enjoy the trip for a little while," Rose said. "She's right, it's not every day we get to go on a ship this big," Peeta said. "Aw come on, I just started watching," I whined. "You can watch later tonight after we explore the ship for a while," Peeta said.

Peeta turned the tv off and Rose was still looking at the paintings. "God not those finger paintings again," Rose said. "They certainly were a waste of money," Cal said when he walked inside the room. "The difference between Cal's taste in art and mine is that I have some. They're fascinating. Like being inside a dream or something. There's truth but no logic." Rose said. Rose picked up a painting. "What's this artist's name again?

Something Picasso?" Rose said. "Something Picasso. He won't amount to a thing. He won't trust me." Cal said. "Let's put the Degas in the bedroom," Rose said. "At least they were cheap. Put it in the wardrobe." Cal said.

The next day at lunch we were dining in first class with the family and Mr. Andrews, the designer of the ship. As Mr. Andrews was speaking, I was bored so I decided to sit on Rose's lap while Rose smoked a little. The smoking didn't bother me as I am 18 years old. I rested my head on Rose's shoulder and checked my phone. "You know I don't like that, Rose and Lana," Ruth said when she saw us. Rose didn't mind me sitting on her lap but Ruth did.

"What? I'm only sitting on mommy's lap, grandma." I said. "And you are on your phone during a conversation," Ruth said. Rose said nothing and blew smoke in Ruth's face. I giggled a bit. "Come on Lana, act like an adult, not some child," Effie said. Cal took the smoker from Rose and Cal took my phone away from me and pulled me off of Rose's lap and sat me in my own chair. "You like lamb, right sweet-pea?" Cal said, going back into the conversation.

"You gonna cut the lamb for her, Cal?" Margret said, jokingly. "I'm bored," I said. "We can take a walk in a little bit," Rose said.

I nodded and we continued the conversation about the unsinkable ship.
