Across The Poke Verse 1:

Authors Note: Let me get something out of the way for clarity's sake

Ash is 16ish during the events of Kalos. Alola seems like a vacation so I'm gonna say the events of Alola take about 6ish months. As of JN 84, I'd guess 4-5 months. Therefore, I'm making Ash about 17 as of Pokemon Journeys.

Ash in Kalos goes to the days between JN 84 and 85. Ash from Journeys goes to the day between XY 119 and XY 120

A girl walked with a Celebi in a peaceful forest. It was a quiet day in Eterna Forest, and Nora was grateful for the rest. These past few months had changed her life, she had faced evil, been adopted by a mythical Pokemon, and saved the world. But she needed a change of scenery, so she left home, and here she was. Away from the world, away from everything. Just her and Celebi. But, good things aren't exactly meant to last, aren't they?

Celebi was sleeping on Nora's shoulder when the Pokemon flew up and looked around. Something was wrong. Something was very very wrong. Celebi's hunch was right, a fast Pokemon flew straight into Celebi.

Nora jerked her head. "What on earth is going on!?"

A figure materialized and a golden hand punched Nora in the gut.

She felt herself go dizzy and she collapsed. "What…. No…." Nora was out cold.

A golden figure stood above Nora and crushed up Celebi's Poke Ball and then tapped a mysterious device on the Pokemon.

"You belong to me now. I don't have long so listen carefully, I want you to send Ash Ketchum back to the past. And send the past version of him to the present. The chosen one can not be allowed to interfere with my plans. Now hurry!"

The golden figure watched Celebi vanish and took a deep breath as the mythical Pokemon did.

The figure began to vanish and smiled to itself. Phase one was complete. And nothing could go wrong

Celebi was required to obey the order, but…. Celebi knew that the order had some "wiggle room"

The device was forcing Celebi to send Ash back and forward. But, Celebi would try and make his adjustment as easy as possible.

Celebi flew to Snowbelle City sometime in the recent past and grabbed Ash Ketchum. If Celebi was required to send Ash to the future, it may as well be the most competent version of Ash. And Celebi needed to make sure Ash had all of his Pokemon with him. Celebi grabbed Pikachu and put him on Ash's chest with the rest of his Pokemon in their balls on a belt.

Celebi dropped Ash and his Pokemon off in Professor Cerise's Lab, picking up Ash from the present and doing the same with his Pikachu and his belt of Pokemon. He grabbed his Mega bracelet, his Dynamax Band, and Z ring. Celebi dropped Present Ash off in the past in the hotel room in Snowbelle. While Celebi was required to do this, the Pokemon couldn't help but feel bad for the poor trainer. Celebi sighed and returned to Eterna Forest, where the golden figure was nowhere to be found. Celebi was planning on returning Ash when suddenly the mythical Pokemon collapsed. A man in a trench coat and a black hat picked up Celebi and put the mythical in a container. He'd need it later

Ash woke up with a loud yawn, he stretched out and rolled out of bed. For some reason, this bed was a lot warmer than the one back at the lab. He was also a lot colder for some reason. Ash stood up and felt a chill go down his back. Perhaps all he needed was a warm shower.

Wait. This wasn't the lab. So…. where was he?

Ash ran towards the window and pulled the shutters aside, revealing a city coated in snow. Ash gasped and took a few steps back. He'd recognize this view anywhere. He was in Kalos, Snowbelle City. And something was seriously wrong. Ash took a few steps back and looked at the desk near his bed. There was his Dynamax Band, his Mega Ring and his Z Ring. His belt of Pokemon were by the battle items and Pikachu was asleep on the bed. So at least he had something going for him.

Ash walked around and took a deep sigh, "Well, looks like I'll miss my match with Bea. I should text Goh and let him know whats going on."

Ash felt around his pockets and gulped, this wasn't good. He didn't have his phone. It was ok however, he could still contact Goh through the center phone and it'd all be sorted out.

Just then, Ash heard pounding on his door. It was a voice Ash hadn't heard in a while.

"Ash! Wake up! You have a big day ahead, its the day before your gym battle and I think you should do some training! Plus, Serena brought everyone breakfast from a Cafe in town!" Clemont pounded on Ash's door loudly. Ash smiled, maybe this was just a prank Goh and Clemont were playing on him. Or maybe it was his birthday and they wanted to surprise him? Or maybe, they'd all inexplicably betray him. So then he'd go live in the mountains for a few years and then come back and murder his friends at a tournament with an Arceus that he caught along the way. Ash shrugged off the last thought, that was some deranged fantasy.

Ash composed himself and yelled at the door, "Yeah! I'll be out soon!"

Clemont stopped slamming his fist on the door, satisfied with Ash's response.

Ash took a deep breath and turned on the TV. Maybe there would be some news on the whole Zygarde situation, and if that was over, Ash could go get Greninja. After all, Greninja would be a huge help in the World Coronation Series. With Mega Lucario, Ash-Greninja and a Z Move Pikachu, Ash would be able to take down any foe of his.

Series. Goh and Chloe would be so mad if he didn't get them anything while he was in Kalos.

"F**K!" Ash yelled out. He never cursed, but this was worth an exception. He was 11 months in ths past. In Kalos, with Clemont and Bonnie and Serena

Oh Arceus, Serena! How on earth would he handle her. After the airport incident, he hadn't spoken to her and he wouldn't know what to say! He knew her feelings, he was less dense after Alola and understood these things now. That would certainly be awkward

And Clemont! He was a smart guy, he'd figure out right away that Ash was a time traveler if Ash wasn't careful. Bonnie wasn't much of a concern.

Ash sat down and thought for a moment, while he was in Kalos, he may as well destroy Lysandre before he could become a problem. And maybe defeat Alain, that'd be nice. Oh, and stomping Sawyer Ash reached for a Poke Ball, hoping to see his old Kalos team again.

Instead, Ash released his lovely Dracovish who promptly yelled out.

"Ohhhhh La La La La!" Dracovish Chomped on Ash's head and he yelped out

"Dracovish! Not now!" Ash recalled his chaotic Dragon. He'd have to explain this situation later to his team, they'd probably be supportive and try and help him. His brand new Mega Lucario he hadn't even tried yet would be a godsend in this gym, and with Pikachu's Z move and SirFetch'd at his side, he'd easily get this badge. The Kalos league wouldn't be easy because of Alain and Sawyer, but with the use of some competent strategy from his team, he knew he could get it done.

Ash took a deep breath. Here was his plan, he'd beat Wulfric and get his gym badge to enter the Kalos League. He'd win the Kalos league and find a way home. All the while convincing Clemont that he wasn't from the future. And trying not to be awkward around Serena.

That sounds easy right! Right?

Ash opened the door and walked out. He was Ash Ketchum, and adventures were second nature to him

Meanwhile in the future….

Ash gasped and sprung out of bed and promptly slammed his head into the upper bunk of a bunk bed. A voice cried out "For Arceus's sake Ash! Stop that!"

Ash looked above him, a boy with black hair and red highlights seemed pretty mad at him. Ash gulped and got out of bed. The boy spoke again, "Hey, what's with the new clothes. They look good!"

Ash didn't recognize this kid, so he scratched his head and thought up a genius idea "Ummmmmmm I have amnesia. What's your name."

Ash was slammed in the head with a pillow and he flew back and hit the wall, waking Pikachu up.

"Name's Goh you doofus, I'm your best friend. Now drop the act and lets go get some breakfast."

Ash stood back up and shrugged at Pikachu who was just as confused as he was. Ash ran towards the window and gasped. He wasn't in Snowbelle. This view, this weather. It could only be one place. Ash wanted to confirm his suspicion

"Hey Goh, where are we exactly?" Ash asked earnestly

"Vermillion City in Professor Cerise's lab. It's not funny anymore Ash, come on I'm already hungry." Goh said as he rolled his eyes

Ash looked around, how could it be this nice already? It was winter so the sun shouldn't be this bright out. It looked like a hot summer day

"OK ok, last question. What's the current date?"

Goh gave Ash a glare. "It's August. The 18th of August 20XX"

Ash gasped. "$h!t" Ash yelled out angrily

Goh winced, "Ash, are you ok? You never curse." Ash shook his head. "There…. There's no way." Ash looked around panicked, and Pikachu was sparking up from all the emotion.

Goh grabbed Ash's shoulder. "What the hell is going on Ash! Talk to me!

Ash became silent. "I just time traveled 11 months into the future. I have no memory of you or this place, and I'm very. VERY confused."

Goh started laughing, "Man! What a good joke. Come on Ash, you probably got that from a movie."

Ash grabbed a Poke Ball on his belt which was next to Pikachu and released Greninja.

"See Goh, this is Greninja. I'm pretty sure he's not on my current team."

Goh's expression suddenly changed to one of excitment.

"Oh jeez, this is the Greninja that you can do the cool thing with! Didn't you release him?"

Ash looked horrified, "What? I would never!"

Goh's eyes widened. "Ohhhhhh, well, maybe you are from the past. Can you show me the cool thing you do with Greninja?"

Ash smiled, "Looks like future me filled you in! I'm sure we won the Kalos league with our power! We were super tough!"

Goh scratched the back of his head, "Actually… ummmmm I don't wanna mess with the timeline or anything but sorry to burst your bubble. You don't win."

Ash and Greninja both froze. "What. No. No way! It better not have been that jerk, Sawyer!"

Goh looked at him confused, "You mean the one with the Sceptile? Nah, you kicked his butt. You lost to some loser with an ugly scarf and a Mega Charizard X."

Ash sat down on the bed. "Well….. Ummmm, guess we can redeem ourselves in the future! Or maybe the present for you"

Goh smiled at Ash "That's the spirit! You're competing in the World Coronation Series right now. You're like rank sixty right now and the goal is to beat Leon the unbeatable Champion who's number one. Your next match is tomorrow against your rival Bea, she's a super strong fighting type master."

Ash nodded, "Right. So uhhhh anything else I should know about the future?"

Goh scratched his head, "I mean there's a bit more. I'm traveling with you as a part of Project Mew. It's my goal to catch every single Pokemon and eventually even Mew."

Ash nodded his head, very impressed. "That's a lofty goal but I bet you can do it!"

Goh laughed, "Same Ash as in the present."

Goh's expression changed to a smirk, "Oh! By the way, the Professor's daughter, Chloe is a childhood friend of mine and she has a small crush on you. So please don't do anything dumb. I haven't even told present you, but you're already friends with her so I know you wouldn't do anything dumb. Please don't hurt her feelings if you need to reject her."

Ash blushed and shook his head. "No no no! I totally get it. Wait, no! I mean I don't get it."

Goh started laughing, "Same old Ash, past or present. You've always been a doofus about this sort of stuff."

Ash shrugged, "I'll figure out Chloe later, I haven't even met her. First I gotta figure out how to beat Bea, and eventually find a way home"

Goh laughed and offered him his hand "Well, guess I'm going on an adventure with a different Ash. Pleased to meet you Ash from the past. May our adventures be just as fun as they are in the present. Here's to adventures with friends"

Ash laughed and shook Goh's hand.
