Sakura pushed a pink lock of hair behind her ear that had escaped from her leaf headband. Sweat beaded on her forehead as she concentrated her chakra control in her feet and fists.

A spikey haired blonde crouched on the far side of the training grounds in defensive mode. Naruto's blue eyes analyzing Sakura.

The two were at a stand still after two hours of intense battle training. As the wind picked up a single leaf was torn off a near by tree and drifted in the wind inbetween the space of Jonins. Both ninjas tensed their muscles in anticipation. The leaf had barely hit the ground and both were racing at each other in full speed. Sakura and Naruto were a whirlwind of punches and kicks to the naked eye were almost invisible.

Naruto's eyes flinted away from is opponent and Sakura saw her opening. With one well placed punch to the stomach she sent Naurto flying into the tree line following with a smacking sound and a crack.

"Naurto, you should know better than to get distracted!" Sakura huffed with her hands on her hips. Out of the corner of her eye she spotted a dark blue haired woman with white eyes. She turned, smiled and waved at the busty woman. "Nevermind, you deserve this one."

Sakura chuckled, Naurto had every right to be distracted. Hinata stood at the edge of the training grounds with a takeout bag from Naruto's favorite Ramen shop, Ramen Ichiraku. The original shop had not survived the fourth great ninja war, but it had come back with a fury in the months that followed in the Hidden Leaf Village's rebuild. Hinata was shifting her weight from side to side with a nervous smile lifted on her face.

"Hinata!" Naruto came scrambling out of a the tree he had just been slammed into. Sakuras eye twitched in irritation. He didn't even think of responding to Sakura. He hadn't even noticed the ramen, he ran straight to Hinata talking up a storm. Sakura felt a ping of jealousy ring throughout her. Her old teammate was so enthralled by this woman she could even distract him in battle. What an ability. Her mind flashed to Sasuke, raven hair, pale skin, and his voice ringing in her ears. Her old teammate. Her friend. Shaking her head of his memory Sakura adjusted her gloves and she crushed his memory with the replay of the movements of the just recent fight with Naruto in her head.

"Sakura! Hinata brought ramen!" Her teammate stood next to a very pink Hinata. What had he done in such a short time to make her blush like that? Knowing him he probably said something perverted. "She brought some for you too!"

Hinata was always so thoughtful. By human nature this is what she was. Sakura was glad to see them together, smiling after what happened only a couple of months ago in the war it seemed unreal. "It's okay I think I'll just train somemore-" Sakura stomach growled louder than a wolf could howl. I guess lunch couldn't hurt.

-Sunagakure-

Gaara rubbed his temples. As the Kazekage of the Village Hidden in the Sand Gaara was surrounded by work.

The Fourth Great Ninja War had made a dent in the village and a lot of messes to clean up. Gaara stacked the documents on his desk that he had just finished in a separate pile on his desk. He was starting to surround himself with paperwork.

"One pile down another 10 to go." He huffed. He was starting to get grumpy with the lack of sleep and food.

He ruffled his bright red hair took a deep breath and reached for the next form. The seal of the hidden leaf caught his eyes.

Sixth Hokage of Konohagakure

Gaara raises his eyebrow. The Hidden Leaf Village must have recuperated quickly. Gaara's words still rang in his ears when he spoke about his friend, Naruto, in front of hundreds of shinobi, "Our enemies are after the friend who saved my life! If they take him, if we hand him over, our world is finished! I want to protect him! I want to protect our world!".

At that moment he and all the ninja with him were filled with camaraderie in their hate for the Akatsuki. His dark rimmed eyes scanned over the letter again. This could be good to show that the unity in their villages still existed. On that day they had fought together and now they should fight together to survive again. Worked together to fight a common enemy and to save his best friend. Gaara closed his eyes and leaned back in his chair. Even with his inner demon gone he still had trouble getting a good nights rest. He grunted in agreement with himself.

This war was devastating to the numbers of his people. Many were still suffering injuries and his medical nin could not keep up. As much as Garra hated the thought he needed help. His medical staff was struggling and his people were still suffering.

"Temari!"

Out of almost thin air Temari, a four pony tailed woman with fishnets under a black shirt and skirt appeared.

"Yes, Kazekage." Temari his older sister dropped to one knee in his presence in respect.

Garra straightened at the title. Still trying to get used to the feel of the work. "I have a task for you. You are going to the Hidden Leaf Village to retrieve a gift."
