Volume 4-1 Grey: Frightful NIght.
The night was quiet as not even a sound was heard all but the sound of birds in the tree as they were settling in for the night. Though there night would be ruined by the sounds of a motorcycle sped past them scaring them to flee from their nests. That motorcycle was the sound of Audra's bike speeding down a dirt path with a trailer attached with precious cargo in it.
That cargo was an unconcious Weiss Louve without her right arm and an injuried Pepper with a make shift cast on her right arm that still requires surgery. Audra tried not to go so fast to try and make it the next town ahead while also not trying to attract any grimm.
She stopped a moment to make sure she was heading the right direction. Audra noticed in the distance a rather big hill that most likely where the next town was. But from the looks of how far it was it would be another hour till she got to town especially at her rate of speed currently.
She looked back to make sure the two of them were still okay but she didn't know for how much longer especially with Weiss and her missing arm.
She then looked back behind her in the distance she could see the smoke that was coming from the city of Vale. She still didn't get a call from either Roman or Rina which was starting to worry her but she had job to do and she was going to get it done. So without another delay she turned the throttle and sped forward toward the hills ahead hoping to get the two of them some help.
Thirty minutes into her drive it was rather calm other than hearing the sound of her engine she sped forward at an easy pace. However her smooth ride was going to recieve some uneasy company as she saw in her mirror that a pack of beowolfs were coming her direction and rather fast as well.
She cursed herself as she hit the throttle trying to speed up to outrun them but with her cargo she didn't want to further injure Weiss and Pepper. She took her left and extended her weapons claws as she was expecting a fight to come at her. She activated her semblance as her claws were surrounded in black energy as they came off her weapon.
With a wave of her hand her claws turned daggers threw themselves at the beowolfs trying to stop them in their tracks but this variation of grimm was so agile they easily dodged her attack. With another wave of her hand her daggers swung back trying to attack the grimm again.
This time her daggers hit its mark attacking the grimms front legs to trip it up which gave her an advantage as she waved her arm as the rest of her daggers stabbed themselves into the grimm killing it. The daggers quickly returned to her weapon but that wasn't the only grimm that was their as another beowolf charged at her. She swerved to dodge the beowolfs charged as she tried slashing at it but it was too quick as it moved away enough for her claws to miss as it slashed at her exposed shoulder.
She felt the pain run through her shoulder as could feel the blood coming from it.
This wasn't going to work the only best option for her to try is to outrun it as turned it to full throttle as she kicked up dust leaving the beowolf in it's tracks as the beowolf gave up it's chase.
After making sure she was a good distance away from the grimm she slowed down to normal speeds as she still had about another twenty minutes to get their to the town hopefully that her shoulder would hold up and she doesn't end up like the last time. Some time later she was only about another ten minutes to the town when her ears picked up something buzzing and it was getting closer. She turned around and saw a bug like grimm with fly like wings along with a skeleton head with beady orange eyes staring right at her but what was more prominent was its small stinger on its tail.
It buzzed at her and began to swoop down at her.
"Now this is starting to get annoying." Audra said as she readied herself to counter attack. However the moment the bug got close it actually fired its stinger at her. Audra moved out of the way but it did managed to graze her already wounded shoulder. She used her semblance and launched her daggers at the grimm as it pierced its sides shredding it to pieces.
"That should be the last of any surprises for a while." Audra said but she suddenly started feeling rather dizzy trying to stay awake.
"C'mon just... a little further." She said as she pressed forward as she was nearing the town. What she didn't know was that up above she was being watched by a worried patrol glider.
=RWBY=
The town was quiet during the evening as people were starting to close up for the night but most importantly the small town clinic was beginning to close up. Outside the clinic a young man was currently cleaning the front part of the clinic of any dust that was their.
The young man is about sixteen years old with short white hair that is swept to the side along with soft blue eyes. He is currently wearing a doctors outfit that is an open white coat that reached down to his knees. Underneath it he wears a light grey shirt and dark blue pants with simply black shoes.
He wiped the sweat from his brow completely content with his work.
"That's all done now. It's almost time to close up for the night." The young man said.
The door opened to the clinic revealing an older women who is taller than the boy. She has slate-blue eyes along with white hair tied into a low ponytail over her left shoulder. She is wearing a light purple jacket with light sleeves with a wide belt around her waist with a matching pencil skirt along with black tights and slippers. She also wears a white cravat secured with silver brooch with a red stone. Over her attire is a white long sleeved overcoat with a red cross on both shoulders.
"Nicely done Whitely. Not that many people today but we sure did our part." The women said.
"Indeed we did mother." The young man now knows as Whitely replied back.
However before they could close up the women heard a sound coming from above and it was coming in fast.
Then in seconds a fuel powered glider came down near them as the pilot came off the glider.
The owner of the glider is a young girl about seventeen with blue eyes and blue hair that goes down just past her shoulders. She has a rather athletic form with a developed hourglass figure. She is currently wearing a long sleeved blue t-shirt with a symbol on her right shouler.
"Melyna is something wrong?" Whitely asked.
"I was doing a quick patrol before calling it a night and I've noticed someone coming into the town with a trailer hitch. I think the rider is wounded badly." Melyna replied.
"Why would the rider be this far out?" The women said.
"I wish I knew Miss Schnee." Melyna replied.
However Whitely was thinking on something as this was a predicament but he couldn't ignore someone that is injured.
"That trailer you talked about. Was it covered?" He asked as she nodded.
"It was big enough to transport at least two people it they're laying down." She added.
"Alright. See if you can lead them here and we'll start getting things ready when the rider get's here." Whitely replied.
Melyna nodded as she got back to her glider as she stood on it and grabbing the handles. She lifted up her right foot which brought up a pedal as she then pressed on the pedal which activated her glider which hovered in the air for a moment. She then blasted upward into the sky as she was now going to find the rider of the motorcycle.
"Looks like our job isn't done just yet." The women said.
"Yeah seems like it." Whitely replied as they went back inside to prepare.

Audra was getting close to the town but her vision was starting to get blur as she shook her head to try and stay awake.
"That thing must've had something in that stinger. Just... gotta... push it." Audra said as she tried to looked straight ahead. Though her ears picked up the sound of low humming that sounded like a small plane as she noticed above her that someone was following her.
It was a glider with a pilot on it as the person on it waved down to her. The person then pointed toward the town then to itself.
"Is the pilot wanting me to follow." Audra thought. Right now she was out of options as she flashed her lights to make sure the pilot could see as if signaling she would follow.
Above her Melyna noticed the flashing lights of the motorcycle as she nodded to herself.
"Good. Let's get to the town." Melyna said as she proceed to lead the rider to the clinic.
Another ten minutes later Melyna had managed to lead the rider to the clinic as she landed in front of the clinic. Audra managed to stop in time but her vision was starting to fade as she tried to get off her bike as she stumbled but luckily Melyna was there to catch her as she got a look at the wound on the riders shoulder.
The wound itself was starting to turn purple as some blood was still oozing out of it. Audra tried to look at whoever caught her but her vision was too blurry that her vision turned black and passed out but the last thing she saw was two people came running out of the clinic with worried looks on their faces.
=RWBY=
Weiss wasn't sure how long she was out but the last thing that she remembered was protecting Pepper from Adam but everything else was just a blur. Slowly but surely her senses were coming back to her little by little as she began to stir as she slowly opened her eyes but was immediately met with a bright light from the sun as her eyes adjusted from the brightness.
Other than her sight she could feel her smell come back to her as she could smell something related to a hosptial as it smell to clean. Her hearing came back to her quickly but she couldn't hear anything as it was surprisingly quiet. She looked around the room and noticed that she wasn't in some kind of hospital as it was rather small. She noticed that her left arm had an IV drip as she saw the IV bag slowly drip.
She quickly looked herself over and noticed she was wearing a long green colored gown but something felt off. She looked to her right and noticed the sleeve was empty which only meant one thing. She took her left hand felt around her right shoulder but she couldn't feel it their as her assumption was correct. Her entire right arm was gone as she decided to lay herself back down on the bed.
The door opened up and saw the women that came in that Weiss immediately recognized but she didn't say anything.
"Well looks like your awake. You've lost some blood but we've managed to prevent anymore blood from leaking out." The women said.
"We also gave you a transfusion as well just to be save so that your aura could heal properly. Luckily it was a clean cut and we replaced the bandages. How are you feeling?" The women asked.
"Honestly a little tired." Weiss started but then she remembered something.
"Was their anyone else with me? A wolf faunus maybe?" Weiss asked.
The women raised her hand for assurance "She's fine. Her right arm is broken but with the surgery that we did we managed to repair her arm. There will be some scaring but she'll be fine." The women said.
"That's good to hear." She replied relieved that Pepper was fine.
"The driver though is lucky to be alive though. She lost some blood and was poisoned from a grimm. Another minute and the girl would've been dead from the poisoning. Her shoulder will scar from this but she'll be alive. Right now they're both resting which is something you should be doing." The women replied.
"Is their anyway I can see her?" Weiss asked.
The women nodded as she went to the other side of the bed as Weiss flipped over the sheets. She carefully swung her legs out for them to hang at the edge of the bed Weiss then took a breath she carefully stood up. Almost immediately her legs nearly buckled under her own weight but luckily the women caught her before she fell.
"Your legs are going to be weak for a little bit so I'll help you walk." The women said as she grabbed the IV drip as it wheeled next to her as they made their way out of Weiss's room.
"If I may ask? Where am I any way?" Weiss asked.
"This is Sumire. It's a small town but this place does have it's charm. It has a few problems with grimm attack but with help from the guardians here they keep the grimm at bay." The women replied.
"Guardians? Wonder who they are?" Weiss thought as they approached one of the rooms.
"She's in here. Though it's best that we be quiet as we don't want to wake her up." The women replied as she opened the door revealing Pepper sleeping on the bed with a similar IV drip attached to her left arm. Her right arm was in a cast as it was suspended above her body. Weiss was glad that she was sleeping which did bring her some relief.
Weiss walked over to Pepper's side of the bed as she look at her friends face. She could tell that she was sleeping peacefully which was something she was glad that her friend didn't recieve any more injuries compared to a lost limb from herself.
"Up and about already huh. That's a good sign of recovery." A males voice replied as Weiss's eyes nearly bulged out of her head as she immediately knew who it was despite being separated for so long.
She saw Whitely standing their in his doctors coat with a clipboard in his hand.
"Their aura will take time to heal the wounds but this one here will have to refrain from physical activities if she want's it to heal properly." Whitely replied.
"Whitely... wow he's changed since I saw him last. He looks like more fit than anything... I'm not surprised if he has a girlfriend yet." Weiss thought.
"How are our supplies?" The women replied.
"For the time being we're okay mother. We'll just need to resupply on a few things. Getting the poison out wasn't exactly easy for our third patient." He replied.
"Third patient? Who do you mean?" Weiss asked.
"Ah right you were unconcious when you arrived. She's just next door if you want to go see her." Whitely replied.
Weiss contemplated for a moment but figured she was in safe hands she decided to go see who it was that helped them.
"Oh I don't think we've introduced ourselves yet. My name's Whitely Schnee and that's my mother Willow." Whitely introduced.
Weiss had a feeling that they wanted her to introduce herself to them but she didn't know it would be the right time to or how they would react seeing her. She was honestly...scared, scared and angry at her mother for leaving her.
"I'm... Opal. Opal Stark." Weiss introduced herself 'Really that's the best you could come up with!" She thought.
"Well Miss. Stark rest assured that you and your company are in good hands. Now let's leave her be so she can rest. I just need to check on the last patient and I'll be good for most of the day." Whitley replied as the three of them left Pepper's room.
Weiss took one more glance back to the sleeping faunus before smiling a little glad to know that she was going to okay.
Her walking was slowly coming back as she no longer shuffled acrossed the floor but was able to put one foot in front of the other even if it wasn't the best. It was a short walk as they walk toward another opened it and it revealed the last person that Weiss was expecting.
Audra Blanche. The snow leopard faunus that Weiss had only met one time but it was more than enough to leave an impression. Surprisingly though she was awake as her soul gazing blue eyes stared across the room.
Her right shoulder has been bandaged up to prevent infection.
"How are you feeling Miss. Blanche?" Whitely asked.
"Like utter hell. How long was I out?" Audra asked.
"You slept through the night like a kitten." Willow replied getting a small blush from the girl before realizing something.
"What about my bike? Is it safe?" Audra replied.
"Your ride is fine though you should count yourself lucky that your still alive. The poison in your system was circulating to your immune system and other organs. If your immune system failed then your body would've started to shut down and you'd be dead already. We've managed to subdue the poison for now but we'll be keeping you here a few days to run some tests to make sure the poison is completely out of your system." Willow replied.
Audra only groaned but she didn't argue with them "Guess that is for the best." She said.
The two doctors nodded "Very well. Right now try and get some rest." Whitely replied as the three of them left the room to return Weiss to her room to rest. Though instead they spotted Melyna in the halls of the their clinic and it looked like she had her scroll in her hands.
"Miss. Mahin is something the matter?" Willow asked.
"You guys have to see this. It's about Beacon Academy." Melyna replied as she held her scroll out to the three of them.
It was a live news report.
"This is Lisa Lavender coming to you live from what remains of Beacon Academy. A once prestigous academy turned to nothing but rubble and ashe. No one knows the reasons behind the attacks but some are speculating that this attack was cause by the White Fang as they were able to some gain control of Atlas tech that was suppose to protect the academy and the city. The death count is unknown but we do know among the dead is former Headmaster Ozpin and the champion of Sanctum Academy Pyrrha Nikos. Several arrests were made including the arrest of a one Rina Trill who was revealed as the Spider herself. For now the current and new headmistress Glynda Goodwitch has not made a comment of how to move forward. We only hope that who ever did this is brought to justice quickly. Lisa Lavender channel 9 news." Lisa said as the news report was finished.
Weiss stared at the new report and she was rather taken aback by this news. Beacon was gone and so was Vale. Everything was destroyed but some part of her didn't think it was just the White Fang but it must've been someone else that was involved as well. She wasn't all that surprised that Rina was the Spider because she already knew about her but she never thought she would be arrested so easily. Though she was rather concerned if Ruby and the others were okay since she was unconcious for all of the trip.
"Hm... no wonder the town has been a buzzing recently. They're worried about the grimm that attacked the city. Plus we have been seeing ships fly overhead of us. Must've been evacuating the town as fast as they can." Willow replied.
Whitely nodded "Yeah I noticed that as well. Guess that means we better start getting some extra supplies." He said before looking back at Melyna.
"Melyna could I ask a favor of you?" He questioned.
"Sure. Whatcha need?" She said.
"Me and mother are going out ot gather some supplies. While we're out I want you to watch over Miss. Stark here and the rest. If anything occurs you are to contact us right away. We'll be gone an hour at most." Whitely replied.
Melyna nodded "Sure thing. I'll keep an eye on them." Melyna said as she went over to the lynx faunus side.
"Let's get you back to your room so you can rest a little." She said as Weiss nodded in agreement as she took her back to the room.
Weiss gently sat on the bed and with some help she was able to get her legs on the bed since they still didn't want to work right for the moment.
"I'll be nearby incase you might need anything." Melyna replied as she left the room for Weiss to relax. Weiss looked at the small dresser near her bed and noticed that her scroll was sitting their untouched but the problem was that it was on her right side. It wouldn't be an issue if she had her right arm but not that she doesn't it'll be an issue.
She first tried using her left arm to grab her scroll but that proofed futile as she only dragged her IV drip with her and she didn't want to rip out the line attached to her only good arm. She tried using her semblance by summoning forth a glyph but that proved rather difficult in her situation as she could barely keep a glyph active.
She growled in frustration of not being able to do much in her condition. So she decided to get out of bed and carefully walk over to the other side of her bed to grab her scroll and then walk back to the previous side. A process that took ten minutes for Weiss to do as she laid back down on her bed. Now with her scroll in hand she could finally do something as she opened her scroll with her good hand but now that presented an issue again as to how was she going to type in what she was going to say with only her one arm.
Realizing just how pointless it was her good arm shook in frustration as she then threw her scroll at the wall as it hit the wall and clattered on the ground. She layed her head on the pillow not even caring anymore about her fallen device as she decided to at least try and get some sleep while she still could as her eyes slowly closed letting sleep take her.
[Dream Sequence]
Weiss eyes shot open as she was now standing in a vast field as she looked around as she only saw nothing as she figured she was the only. She also noticed that she had both her arms and she was also in her combat attire and her weapon was drawn. She didn't know why but she had a feeling something was coming right at her. She suddenly felt the sounds of multiple footprints coming right at her over the hill top.
She decided to go to the edge of the hill and she noticed something that she didn't want to see. It was the White Fang marching along with their weapons drawn. What was worse she noticed that her teammates were taken prisoner each of them in different conditions. Yangs arms were bound to each other and she was also gagged as the White Fang forced her to move. She had multiple brusies along her arms and legs plus her left eye was swollen from getting beaten as well as a collar around her neck. She fell to the ground as she yelped in pain but was forced back to her feet as they grabbed her by the hair.
"Keep it moving bitch. You don't get to rest." A White Fang member said as he shoved her forward to continued walking. She then saw how Ruby was as she didn't fair any better than Yang. She had bruises all along her skull and right eye was swollen shut as well having a collar around her neck with chain connecting to Yangs. Her clothing was torn and ripped in some area that also blood was seeping through as she could barely walk seeing her feet being dragged through the mud. Like Yang she was also bound and gagged as she could see the fighting spirit in her leader was no longer their.
Finally her eyes laid on Blake. Her raven black hair was all a mess as their was some blood sticking to her hair. But Weiss noticed that the ears on Blakes head were gone as they look like they were ripped off her skull painfully. Her outfit didn't seem look any better as their were multiple slash marks on her body as her clothes were ripped in several areas. She was also wearing a collar just like the sisters but she noticed something on Blake but more toward her stomach seeing a slight bulge.
Blake... was pregnant. This really didn't sit well with Weiss as she gripped her weapon tighter as she growled. These people kidnapped her teammates and raped Blake and she wasn't going to let it stand. She let out a ferious battle cry and charged at the White Fang. They noticed her and only chuckled at the sight.
Why were they laughing? Suddenly Weiss felt her right side feel light again as she noticed that her arm was gone and so was her weapon as she tripped over herself and stumbled down to the hill where the White Fang greeted her.
"Looks like they just come to us. That's rather laughable." One of them said as he grabbed hold of her neck and hoisted her up with incredible strength.
"You'll make a fine addition to our collection once we've... had our fun with you." He said as they all laughed as the laughing got louder and louder her mind fading away.
[End Dream Sequence]
Her eyes shot open as she sat up on her bed in a cold sweat. Her breathing rapid and unsure as she got a look at her surroundings. She was still in the same clinic where she was staying. Still in the same hospital gown. Her arm was still gone and no signs of her teammates at all. She slowed her breathing as she laid back down on the bed worried to even go back to sleep as she just laid their staring at the ceiling unsure what to do.
She also noted how much time had past as it was now eleven o'clock. She'd only been asleep for about an hour which kinda bothered her a bit that she'd hadn't been able to sleep. The door opened revealing Whitely as he had returned from his errand with his mother.
He was currently carrying a tray of some food in his hands as he approached her bed.
"I thought you might be hungry so I whipped something up for you." Whitely replied as he placed the tray on the bed for her to eat. Weiss looked at the breakfast meal that was placed in front of her which was pretty simple. It contained a bowl of oatmeal with a small plate of bacon and a glass of orange juice.
"Hope you like it." Whitely said.
Weiss/Opal took the spoon in her left hand and took an awkward bite since she wasn't used to using her left hand that often. She hummed in delight actually liking the oatmeal as she continue to eat it.
"Guess you were quite hungry after all huh." He said as he began to leave.
"I'll come back for the tray later after I check on the others to make sure they're okay. You just enjoy your meal Miss. Stark." He replied as he walked out of the room.
Weiss was happy to get a meal, but...there was an uncomfotable pit in her stomach. She stared out the window as images of her friend, and her teammates passed through her mind. Then her mind wonders to the family that she had found and she was overtaken by a whirlwind of emotions, and she layed down.
However what she didn't know was that from a distance she was being watched by someone that was trying to contemplate what he was going to do as he could only wait.
F3: And that ends the start of this new story. Looks like Weiss had met her brother and mother but she doesn't want them to find out that it is her. Wonder how long that'll last?
