"Sir!" shouted a uniformed man as he ran into his commanding officer's private study. "There's… something… you should… see," he managed between breaths.
The commander yelled, "What do you think you're doing, soldier?! How many times have I told you not to disturb me while I'm planning?!"
"I'm sorry, sir!" exclaimed the panicked soldier, "However, there's something more important that requires your attention! Please, follow me!" And with that, the soldier began racing down the hall.
"I give the orders around here!" he yelled back to the man, but it was to no avail as he was already headed off. "What the hell is going on?" he mumble-asked himself as he marched towards the command room, where the soldier was leading him to.
After arriving at his destination, the commander saw the command room in a state of panic. Red lights were flashing everywhere, alerting them to an incoming threat. Looking at the massive screen at the front of the room, the commander saw a massive target hovering over an asteroid that seemed to be the size of a small town.
"What the hell is that?!" asked the commander to the room of people. Nobody replied. "Answer the damn question!" he yelled, pounding his fist on the railing, bending it in the process.
"W-We don't know, commander," answered one of the soldiers. "It's as though it appeared out of nowhere."
"Don't be a dumbass!" he shouted, grabbing the man by the collar and picking him up. "You mean to tell me that a meteor that could level a quarter of the country just 'appeared out of nowhere.'"
The man gulped and went silent, which the commander took as a yes. He scoffed and threw the man aside. "You!" he shouted, pointing towards a female soldier sitting at some sort of console. "Shoot it down! Now!"
"Y-Yes, sir!" shouted back the woman as she flipped a switch that revealed a massive red button with the kanji for "danger" written above it. She slammed the button down, prompting a tiny earthquake as the missile launched from underground.
Taking this once in a lifetime chance, the commander ran outside the room to the terrace that overlooked the scene. "Move it!" he yelled to the people in front of him with the same idea, shoving them out of the way. He approached the railing and saw the two lights collide in the sky.
The light from the massive explosion seemed to send a shockwave throughout the sky as pieces of blue and purple rock scattered across the sky of the Musutafu Prefecture.
A few moments earlier in Downtown Musutafu,
Izuku Midoriya danced his way through the back alleys and forgotten corners of Musutafu City, slinging his backpack over a high fence, before quickly vaulting it himself.
He stumbled a bit as he landed, "2.4 seconds." He whistled in an impressed tone. "New record!" He placed his headphones over his head as he unzipped his backpack, revealing multiple cans of spray paint. The materials he needed for his new piece.
The music boomed at full volume through his headphones as he began shaking one of the cans, prepping it for use. He smiled as he began spraying the paint on the wall as this was the only time he felt free from the weight of the world.
Around an hour passed before he finished his tag. As he stepped back, he exhaled a breath of completion and took the headphones off of his head. "It could use a little more, but I think I'll save that for another day."
He continued to admire his work, and critique it at the same time when he heard the slam of a dumpster lid from around a corner of the nearest alley. "Get off of me!" shouted a female voice.
"Big surprise," he thought to himself. "Another back-alley mugging in Downtown. Just another number added to the statistics that the news uses to scare us." He rolled his eyes. "Just keep quiet and hope that they don't notice you."
He began to quickly and quietly place his spray cans back into his backpack. Once finished, he threw the sack over his shoulders and began climbing a nearby ladder as this would be quieter than fleeing over the fence.
A couple of rungs up the ladder, he heard another voice, which he assumed was the attacker as it was an intimidating male voice this time. "Strange," began the man, "Your I.D. says you're 15, but your body says your 18."
Izuku heard a rip of fabric and the girl release a muffled yelp. Before he knew it he could almost feel his brain turn off as he jumped off of the ladder and ran to the girl's aid. "Hey!" he yelled as he ran around the corner, seeing the two of them for the first time.
The girl was bent over the dumpster with her rear pointed towards the man. Her terrified tears were streaming down the man's hand which was still over her mouth and nose. She was dressed very elegantly, but he could see a rip in her shirt that exposed her chest. His heart sank to his stomach.
Turning to face the attacker, his brow furrowed and he felt his mind go back to a long-forgotten book of his while his body began moving on its own. He jumped higher than he thought a quirkless loser like him could and took the bag off of his back. He saw the man prepare to block his attack, therefore he slammed the bag on the ground as he yelled for the girl to run. A massive cloud of gaseous paint spread throughout the alley upon contact with the pavement, instantly shrouding the view of all three of them.
He heard the man cough and groan as he was unprepared for the attack as well as the light footsteps and sobs of the girl growing smaller and smaller as she got to safety. "Good," he thought. "Time for me to get out of here."
As he began to run past the man, he felt a hand on his shoulder. "You're dead," said the man. The smoke between them cleared just enough for Izuku to see the man's bat-like ears. "She might've gotten away, but you sure as hell won't."
Izuku sent a punch at the man, which missed, but it forced the man to back away from the boy in order to dodge. Izuku took off running through what was left of the smoke, closely followed by the man. He turned down the alley with the ladder that he was climbing earlier, and climbed up it as fast as possible.
He felt a gust of wind as he climbed up the ladder. As he arrived at the top, he turned to try and kick the man off of the ladder but was surprised to see that he was no longer there. "Looking for me?" asked the man, kicking the boy in the head.
Through his blurry vision, Izuku was barely able to make out a set of wings that hung from the man's arms. "That's right," said the man. "My quirk, 'Bat,' grants me the abilities of both bats and humans. Not only can I see normally, but when my vision is obscured, I can use echolocation to find things. I also have wings." The man picked Izuku up and threw him into the roof access door with his amplified strength. "What's your quirk?" asked the man. "C'mon!" he yelled. "Fight back! Let's have some fun!"
Izuku coughed up blood and spat it on the man's shoe. "Go… to… hell," he groaned, quickly receiving another kick to the face. Normally, a person's adrenaline would kick in at this point and help block out the pain, but he knew from the get-go that fighting wouldn't be an option so he felt it all. As he laid there, taking a barrage of blows to the head, neck, and chest, he saw a massive blue light explode in the sky behind his attacker.
The attacker must've noticed it as well as the attacks stopped and the man flew away. Izuku groaned as he forced himself to get up. Teary-eyed and hurting all over, he made his way over to the edge of the building that faced the blue light. He watched through blurry vision as one of the lights grew exponentially in size. He reached up to wipe the tears from his eyes, attempting to get a better look. However, as he removed his hands from his eyes, he could no longer see the light.
Suddenly, as though all the pain he was feeling tripled he looked down towards his chest, noticing a massive hole that had just narrowly avoided his heart. Plugging the hole was the source of the mysterious light. A massive shard of deep blue rock. Purple veins were flowing through it, illuminating his own through the skin in the process. He made an effort to grab it, but to no avail as he collapsed to his knees.
Blood poured from his mouth as he fell face-first on the ground, kicking up a small cloud of dust. He watched his life pass before his eyes before his vision faded to black and he released his final breath.
"Mom, I promise you I have no idea where he could be," said Katsuki Bakugou as he watched the red, white, and blue paint dry on the wall of an alley. "Deku," it spelled. "Yes, mom. I'll keep an eye out for him, just calm down… Yeah, yeah, I love you too.
Katsuki looked to the ladder next to the tag and saw painted handprints ascending it. He raised an eyebrow as he made his way over to it. He sighed, "Dammit, Deku..."
Izuku's eyes jolted open to the feeling of someone shaking him awake. "Wake up, Deku!" yelled Katsuki. "What the hell are you doing asleep on a random ass roof?!" he asked. "The old hag was scared shitless that you were dead somewhere; you know how she gets."
"Wha-... Kacchan?" asked Izuku. "I thought I… Where am I?"
"Hell if I know," said Katsuki. "Just get back to the old hag before I have to keep being nice."
Izuku felt his chest where he was stabbed earlier. He was missing a part of his shirt there, but his body seemed to be untouched. "I could've sworn…," he thought to himself. "Did I imagine that whole thing? No… I couldn't have."
"C'mon, Deku, hurry up!" yelled Katsuki who was already halfway down the ladder.
"Yeah, yeah..., I'm coming!" he yelled back.
The two boys began heading home, before hearing an explosion of glass from across the street. Someone was robbing a bank. They watched as police cars sped down the street before stopping in front of the bank and held their guns out towards the building.
"They got there quick," said Izuku. "Someone must've pressed the panic button."
"No shit," said Katsuki. "What hero do you think is going to show up to stop them?"
"Probably a nobody," said Izuku. "We're the only bystanders right now, so I doubt an A-List hero like Endeavor or Hawks would show up."
"Good point," agreed Katsuki.
A blast of black and red smoke came from the bank, blowing the police cars onto their back. All but one of the three officers were able to evade the attack. One of them was trapped by their leg under her car, screaming in pain.
"Deku, stop!" shouted Katsuki. However, Izuku was already at the officer's aid.
"Why does this keep happening?" Izuku asked himself as he grabbed the officer's car by her leg, lifting with all his strength.
"Get out of here, kid!" shouted the officer. "It's not safe!"
"That's rich," he laugh-groaned, "I'm not the one... trapped under a car. Just... help me push, lady!"
"There he is!" shouted an officer, pointing towards the entrance to the bank. A man emerged, he was clad in a pristine suit with well-kempt hair and a nice beard. He had a suitcase filled with money in his off-hand and his other raised towards the officers, empty.
They took shots at him, but to no avail as he seemed to tank all of them; a small puff of smoke emitting from his back with each shot.
The man pointed his hand towards an officer and sent a small singular shot of smoke at his head. Upon contact, the man dropped his gun and was instantly obliterated. "No!" shouted the other male officer. In a fit of rage, he emptied the clip on the man's head, which blew apart with each shot. Taking, deep, furious breaths, the officer lowered his gun, believing it to be over.
Laughing filled the air as the man's head began to rebuild itself from nothing. "Gotchya!" he laughed, sending a smoke-shot towards the second officer.
"Get down!" shouted the lady-cop, still trapped under the car. It was too late as the second man met the same fate as the first. She held back her tears. "Kid, get out of here! Please!"
Before Izuku could decide what to do next, a massive boom wrang through the air as the ground shook. "I AM HERE!" shouted an all too familiar voice.
"All Might?!" asked the three bystanders in unison. Standing there, in between the bank entrance and the police cars, stood the Number Once Hero, All Might.
Terrified of losing, the man dropped the money as his only priority was escape now. "What better way than a hostage situation?" he thought to himself. He looked at the boy with ash-blonde hair. "Too far." Next, was the lady cop. "It'd take too long to free her."
His eyes landed on Izuku. "Perfect," he thought. His body broke apart into multiple streams of smoke, each of which dashed towards Izuku, before the man formed again behind him, grabbing him by the neck and raising his arm towards the hero.
He saw All Might move, "Ah, ah, ah…," he said, pointing his hand towards Izuku's head. "Don't want any more casualties, right?"
Izuku watched as the man pointed his arm back towards All Might. "Die!" he heard from the air. He watched as Kacchan propelled himself towards the two of them. He saw the man's arm approach Katsuki's direction and instinctually grabbed his arm to redirect it.
Upon contact with the man's hand, Izuku watched as trails of smoke fled from the man's arm and flowed up his own. He could feel them force their way into the pores on the base of his neck.
The man ripped his arm away and threw Izuku to the ground before pointing his hand back to the boy in the sky. He tried to send a smoke shot at the boy, but nothing came out. "What the he-?!" He was cut short as All Might had taken this chance to stop him. Katsuki in turn stopped his assault now that Izuku was "safe."
Izuku was on his knees as the smoke was fashioning itself to his body. He was spasming from the feeling of the smoke rushing in and out. He screamed in agony before falling silent and collapsing onto the ground.
Hey! Thanks for reading! I was looking through my old drafts and found a twenty-five-page doc about a MHA and DBZ crossover. It's not good at all LOL; It features an OP Izuku and has some pretty good action scenes. At least I think it does... Anyway, would you guys be interested in reading that?
