Chapter 7

Reliving the Past

Sans was surprised. The fact that he was surprised, surprised him. Oh, and the extra-human who fell down which had never happened before throughout all the resets. That also surprised him. Oh and the fact that it was an adult, unlike any of the previous anomalies/humans. That was also strange. As he sat next to the bodies of the humans, waiting for everything to be pushed backward, he heard snow crunching in the distance. It was obvious that judging by the soft 'nyeh's, it was Papyrus. Sans sighed. Life was never easy.

"Brother! What are you doing, you're supposed to be reca-" Sans's brother's loud voice was cut off by the site in front of him. "Sa-Sans?"

"Yeah, Paps?"

"Are those humans?"

"Actually, I think those are rocks," Sans said as 2 big rocks that hadn't been there before appeared behind the humans.

"Oh. Wait, since when do rocks have blood?" Papyrus said, visibly dimming before he looked at Sans curiously.

"Those aren't rocks." Said Sans with a chuckle."They're humans."

Papyrus let out an excited squeal at that, before frowning. "Why are the humans bleeding? And why do they have a bone coming out of their head? I never saw that in any books." He asked confusedly.

"Well, bro, I was practicin my magic, when these humans come strolling out of the ruins and trip right i-" Sans stopped talking as he coughed. Red came out of his mouth.

'Hm, I hope they're o- BROTHER! Your injured!" Papyrus said, finally noticing Sans himself. Sans had actually forgotten about the giant slash he had going through him. His precious blue hoodie was stained clear through in a dark red. The opening in his hoodie, made by the knife, had gathered a light layer of dust. His left eye flickering between orange and blue, showing the desperate attempts of his magic, trying to save him. Sans grinned. "No, I'm not."

"Yes, you are! Now stand still and let me heal you!" Papyrus exclaimed, hurrying to Sans.

"But I'm really not! See Paps, I'm already a dead man walking, or I guess, sitting?"

"Oh, if yo-BROTHER! NOW IS NOT THE TIME FOR PUNS. IF YOU MAKE ONE MORE I SWEAR I WILL DIS-" Sans sighed in relief as everything started crumbling to dust.

As Harry slowly came back to consciousness, he heard whimpering and felt a weight on his arm. As he looked around he realized he was back in the room after where he met Flowey. He bent over and looked at the mousy head of brown hair next to him. "Heya Frisk. You o- You feeling better?" He asked, stopping himself from asking a stupid question. Frisk looked up, still whimpering slightly, but she didn't seem to be as emotionally drained as before.

"A little." She responded, sniffing. Harry could still see guilt in her eyes.

"Hey, come on, don't look down. Chin up, let's go see Toriel. Maybe that'll make you feel better?" Frisk immediately nodded. Wiping her eyes, she got up from the ground and went to the door, before turning around and waiting for Harry, Chuckling at the sudden change in pace, he went after her. "Wait, hold up. Didn't you save somewhere else? I thought that I would come back here and you wherever you saved. At least, that's what… huh, can't remember who told me that." Harry trailed off, musing. His brain felt like someone had fed him a forgetfulness potion. Then he realized he didn't have a clue what that was. "That's weird," he mumbled to himself.

Frisk looked at him worriedly, but responded, "I thought that this was the last time you saved so I came back here. I didn't want to be by myself…"

"Alright. I guess that's fine. Just be careful ok? Even if you can't die, I don't want you getting hurt." Frisk nodded.

"Can we go see Toriel?" she asked timidly.

"Sure Frisk." As they once again walked together, Harry thought he heard some of the red leaves rustle. He looked back and saw a hint of yellow, but dismissed it as the shine of the glowing star. If he had seen the grinning flower, perhaps, everyone would have been saved a lot of trouble.

Hey everyone. I am very sorry for the extremely short chapter and long wait. Recently, someone close to me died and I had to take a break from this. I might be taking a break/hiatus because life has been very hectic and I've been rushing chapters because I don't have enough time to actually write them. I am very sorry about this. Maybe I'll see you in a few weeks. Have a good one.
