A/N: I don't own Harry Potter or any related characters

Warning: murder, obsession

Once upon a time,

I was convinced that you and I

we were destined to be

together.

Nothing left to chance,

nothing left to coincidence,

every little detail was

already written.

Then like a storm

moving from the water,

something wasn't right,

there was electricity in the air.

Standing by,

waiting, trying to sort this out.

How could it be,

that you weren't the one for me.

One little touch,

her and I,

chemistry so strong,

we couldn't be apart.

No one understands,

they all thought,

all dreamed...

The tides turned.

Her and I,

how could it be,

but it was, it was,

and there was joy for us.

Holding hands,

laughing, smiling,

the prophesy fulfilled

in another way.

Just as they'd been behind me and you,

they were behind me and her.

I was family, I would always be

family, just in a different way than thought.

I dropped the act of loving you,

embracing her, holding her tightly

as the nightmares came,

reminding her of when she'd been lost.

I could never imagine what she'd been though,

all of it second hand.

But she trusted me, the first one since

she'd been possessed, since she'd been used.

Making my move,

finally asking the question

on both our minds.

We both already knew the answer.

Yes, yes, yes,

she'd never say no to me.

You objected, hated the way

my affections had changed.

I ignored it,

ignored the resentment.

I should have been smarter,

should have seen through things.

I was so happy,

life was perfect,

the war over

and she and I together.

We were planning

our wedding,

our future,

we had the family's blessing.

We never had yours

as your jealously grew and grew.

No one saw it coming,

no one could have.

She stood there,

in a white satin dress,

decorated with crystals

and glitter.

I walked towards her,

smiling as my modest dress

swept against my legs.

You rose to your feet.

There was no time to react,

no time to stop you.

She was your sister,

but that no longer mattered.

Your curse hit her chest.

She screamed out, crumbling to the

rose petal covered ground,

a limp pile.

I ran to her, begging for her life.

You stood there, watching me,

laughing, saying that now I had

no choice, but to come back to you.

I cried as I held her,

her red hair up in the diamond crown,

her eyes closed,

her body still.

You were arrested,

yanked from the ceremony

as my dream wedding,

became the worst day of my life.

I didn't cry when they sentenced you.

I didn't cry when your family, my family,

turned their backs on you.

You'd taken their daughter, their only daughter.

I didn't cry when you were Kissed

by the dementors.

There was no redemption,

you had no remorse.

You screamed before you lost your soul,

promising I would never find love,

that if I ever did, you'd be there,

to make sure you were the only one for me.
