...Bet...
Cho nudges me after Quidditch practice and nods into the stands. Blaise is sitting in the stands watching me. "I'll go get the spy." I sigh getting back on my broom. I zoom over hopping off, and slide along the stands until I stop in front of Blaise. "Howdy there snake!" I smile cheerfully. This makes Blaise frown. "Cassie!" he grumbles a note of warning in his voice. "What's with the tone?" I pout.
"You've been nothing but mean to me for weeks. Why?" he pulls me closer. "You started it. You were mean first." I huff. Blaise coughs and I realize he's laughing. I yank my hand out of his and start for the changing rooms. When I come back out, I start for the school. Blaise is waiting in the courtyard and I skirt around him and start up the stairs.
I hear Blaise hurrying after me. I circle around and head back down the stairs. Wherever I turn Blaise is right there. Sitting on a bench I pout at the floor. Blaise crouches down and looks up at me. I huff and turn away. "Are you really still mad at me baby bird?" he puts a hand on my knee. I don't respond and he sighs. "It's been months. Please forgive me." he pouts.
I hum softly ignoring him. He sits next to me on the bench and pulls me into his lap. I throw my arms around him and he smiles. "You little brat." he grumbles caressing my cheek. I nuzzle his neck kissing it and nipping at it. "Baby bird..." Blaise whispers. I kiss my way up to his lips. "Yes?" I mumble against his lips.
"Answer me." he mumbles kissing me back. "I forgive you." I murmur. Blaise chuckles softly and we stay there talking in whispered voices until lunch. Holding my hand, he leads me back outside onto the grounds. We walk down to the lake and sit on the shore. "Why were you so upset this time?" he wonders putting his head in my lap. "You were mean. I don't like being compared to Harry." I huff. Blaise smiles and sits up. "You only competed for one year though. If you'd competed against first year Harry you would've whooped his ass." Blaise laughs making me smile. I tackle hug Blaise hiding my face in his chest. "I love you, dumbass." I whisper.
"Oooh, you love me!" he teases. "Never mind, I don't think I do. Maybe I should go. I'm hungry." I go to get up and Blaise pulls me back. He kisses my neck and growls softly. "Bad girl." he tsks. I lean away from him a frown tugging my lips down. "Why else were you mad at me?" he wonders. "You confiscated my things last year and it took you ages to return them!" I huff. He smiles fondly at the memory and I smack his chest.
I bolt upright in bed and clap a hand over my mouth. The terrifying green light having woken me just before dawn. Looking around to make sure I didn't wake anyone I stumble out of bed and get dressed. I grab my cooking notebook and my bag and sneak down the stairs. I sit at the bottom of the marble stairs waiting patiently. I write in my notebook until the rest of the school wakes, then I make my way into the courtyard.
I hear footsteps behind me and Blaise sits down. "What are you doing out here?" he whispers. "I had a nightmare and I thought it'd look weird so I came out here to wait. The Slytherin common room isn't exactly easy to access unless you're with a Slytherin." I huff. "When were you in the Slytherin common room?" Blaise asks.
"That's hardly important." I sigh and lean against him. "It's very important baby bird." Blaise insists. I lift my head and kiss his cheek. He doesn't budge so I kiss him softly until I feel his resolve weakening. "No more questions." I whisper. He shakes his head as if trying to clear it and I smile at his feeble attempts.
"Please let it go baby." I mumble peppering his face in kisses. "No, I don't want to. I want to know how you know about the common room. Did Astoria take you?" he grumbles regaining control. I hum and look away. "Maybe I should go eat? I am kind of hungry." I get to my feet. He pulls me onto his lap and refuses to let me go. I squirm in his arms until I finally decide to give up.
I sigh and turn to Blaise with a pout. "I'm hungry. Let go." I mutter. He frowns and I see his resolve return full force. "My first year. I had a nightmare and Astoria brought me to her dorm to relax for a few hours. We passed you on the way to her dorm. You were knocked out on a couch mumbling something about ferrets and potions." I laugh at the memory then freeze.
Blaise is no longer pouting. He's grinning. He's grinning like he won something. "Awww! Baby bird. I wasn't asleep. I saw you sneak in with her." he kisses me and goes inside to eat leaving me there stunned. As what he said finally sinks in. I put my face in hands and groan.
I'm out of it all day. Astoria sits me down well away from other people studying in the Great Hall. "Ok, you've been unresponsive all day. Spill!" she hisses as Luna and Ginny sit down. Mere merely looks confused. I quickly and quietly explain. They stare at me disbelievingly. "Believe or not, but does that look like the face of someone who just found out a big secret." I point across the hall to where Blaise is sitting.
He's smirking and saying something to Theo. "On the count of three turn to your books like you're deep in your studies." I order. They look at me questioningly but nod. "1. 2. 3!" I whisper. A crumpled-up bit of parchment from earlier goes zooming through the air smacking Theo and Blaise in the face before jumping into a nearby torch. I snap my eyes to charms essay. "You are in so much trouble!" Astoria mumbles out of the side of her mouth. I point to a passage in her charms book. "He knows what he's gotten himself into." I frown.
Blaise corners me in the library and pulls me deeper into the library. "Baby bird, are you trying to make me mad?" he growls softly in my ear. I nod and skim over the titles of the books in this section. He pulls me over to a table and sits me on his lap. "I need to study and so do you. Do you think you can behave for an hour?" he stares at me. I shrug and reach for his bag. He pushes it away with his foot and I roll my eyes and take my book out of my bag.
We study quietly for a bit until his fingers starts skimming up and down my legs. I refocus on my book desperate not to give him the satisfaction of hearing me moan as his hand travels higher. I feel him chuckle and his hand rests on my hip. I let my head rest on his shoulder and close my eyes to take a nap. I wake an hour later and find him watching me.
I turn and face him straddling his lap. "Yes?" I whisper. "Are you going to be mad at me for a long time?" he asks. Ignoring him I put my lips close to his ear. "I'm sweepy." I murmur. He rubs my back as I fall back asleep. He shakes me awake before dinner. "I think I'm going straight to bed. Being mad at you really wears me out." I yawn.
He walks me to Ravenclaw tower and I kiss him goodbye. He pulls me back and I sigh. "Don't be mad at me then. I'll try to tease you less." he mumbles. "Bullshit! You love teasing me." I huff turning away. He kisses up my neck to my cheek. "If that's how you want it, then I won't stop teasing you. I shall increase it tenfold." he chuckles in my ear before walking down the stairs.
I throw myself headlong into my studies, homework, and Quidditch practices. I know Blaise is upset because he'll sit next to me in the library and mutter the entire time about how mean I'm being or the fact that I'm so busy we haven't been on a date in a while. I ignore him and get up to get another book. Draco walks in and the two start talking. I magic my bag from the table and hurry out of the library unnoticed.
I run up to the dorm and dive under my covers. Luna and Mere drag me out of bed for breakfast the next day but I don't eat. I hop up and go to the Gryffindor table and sit next to Harry. I stare at him for a full 20 minutes without him acknowledging my presence. I grab my history book and smack him with it. "Ow!" he frowns turning to me. I stuff a large strawberry in his mouth.
"I just need you to nod or shake your head." I sigh. His frown deepens and I take a calming breath. "You have potions today, right?" I ask and Harry nods. "This might be asking a lot but could you slip this to Blaise for me?" I ask my hands clasped pleadingly. Harry looks me up and down and holds out a hand. I smile and take a well-sealed envelope from my bag put it in his hands.
"Don't bother trying to read it. It will only open when Blaise is by himself later today." I warn as Harry and Ron look curiously at the letter. "Did you two have another fight because I really don't want to be in the middle!" Harry groans. I shove more fruit into his mouth. "We aren't fighting. If something was wrong, he'd be ranting in Italian right now." I huff.
Harry nods like my words make sense to him. "Don't worry, it's just a bit hard to study with him pouting and moping next to me is all." I pat Harry's shoulder and leave. I skip up to my first class downing a vial or two of an energy booster I'd made. It's around 5 in the afternoon when I hear the loud ranting Italian.
I turn back to the book I'm reading. "Are you just going to ignore him?" Luna asks skipping around me. "Ignore who?" I ask innocently. "Blaise, he's outside ranting right now." she frowns stopping in front of me. "I don't hear anything." I blink up at her. Just then Blaise bursts in, damn his tracking abilities. "Luna, could you leave us alone for a bit. I need to have a word or two with Cassie." Blaise stares at me though I don't turn around.
Luna skips out the room and closes the door behind her. Blaise slams my letter on my desk. "Just what the hell is this?" he demands sitting in front of me. "You have eyes? A working brain that can make deductions? You figure it out. Everything I needed and wanted to tell you is right there in the letter." I shrug.
He takes my book and tilts my chin up so I'm looking at him. Honestly, it's the first time I've seen this mad. "This letter is... damn it worse than one of your 'break-ups'. Or are you honestly telling me you can't tell me any of this and you have to write it down!" he frowns. I nod and reach for my book. He holds it farther away. "I don't understand what's so hard for you to understand." I huff.
We stare at each other for a long time. "You really don't understand why I'm so upset right now." he mumbles looking away. I snatch my book back and get to my feet. "EVERYTHING is in the letter love." I whisper in his ear and kiss his cheek before leaving.
Harry taps my shoulder dropping down next to me at dinner. "You said you guys weren't fighting." he frowns. "And we're not. We're just having a different view on proper communication right now." I mumble. "The entire castle heard him yelling this afternoon. I heard he went around throwing open random doors looking for you." Mere tilts her head. I roll my eyes.
"I don't think he understands my writing." I sigh. Mere scoffs and jumps to her feet. Before anyone can stop her, she hurries over to the Slytherin table and smacks the back of Blaise's head. I can't hear what she's saying but the other Slytherin's are moving away looking frankly terrified of Mere. Blaise looks... ashamed? He pulls the letter out and she starts talking again.
Something she says catches Astoria's attention and she joins in, Blaise looking doubly scolded. "Are you two fighting?" Luna asks. I let my head fall back. "We're not fighting." I sigh. Harry and Luna share a look. "Did he tease you again?" Harry wonders. "Did he ask you to be the mother of his children again?" Luna asks nonchalantly.
The conversations around us come to a screeching halt. "No, he stopped bringing that up after we got on the train last year." I sigh running my fingers through my hair. "Whoa, whoa, whoa! When the FUCK did this happen?!" Harry blinks. "At the end of last term. He just started saying that when we're married, he'd like to have a girl first so he'd have two girls to dote on. Don't worry too much. You were extremely busy being the Chosen One. I 'talked' him out of it already." I smile proudly.
"You 'talked' him out of it?" Harry frowns. "Yeah. I told him straight up that I have no intentions of having his kids so he needs to find a new baby momma." I wave a finger over my head drawing a halo. "That's not what happened. You told him to go get his dick wet somewhere else." Luna frowns. "Not helping!" I mouth as Harry puts his face in his hands.
"You sort this out yourself. I just don't want to be your messenger again, ever again." Harry stumbles back to his table Luna and I waving merrily after him. Mere drops down looking mightily pleased with herself. "You know, if you want him to understand you better, maybe don't put your true feelings in riddles, in a different language, in a fucking crossword puzzle." she laughs. I blush in embarrassment and go back to my food.
There's a knock on the door and I walk over to answer it. Blaise is standing on the other side not dressed to fight off the cold of the winter storm in the slightest. "I-I-I-I-I-I f-f-finished d-d-decoding y-y-your letter." he shivers uncontrollably. I pull him inside and close the door. "What the hell do you think you're doing walking in this wild weather without anything to keep you warm?!" I gasp herding him into the living room.
"I had to see you." he whispers. I grab the thick blankets from the shelf and wrap them around him. He sits on the couch and tilts his head back. I sit next to him and watch him. He slowly stops shivering and opens his eyes to look at me. "Why are you crying?" he whispers sitting up and wiping my tears.
"You really scared me just now. What were you thinking trekking through cold snow in shorts and a t-shirt? I was so worried!" I sniffle. He pulls me closer but I wriggle out of his arms and start bawling uncontrollably. He pulls me into his arms as I cry. "You're such a jerk for making me worry like this!" I cry. He lays back with me on his chest. He lets me cry and hit him until I'm sniffling. "I love you too Cassidy." he whispers as we fall asleep.
I wake to him rubbing my back. "There she is. I missed you." he mumbles. I put my head down and unfist my hands. He grabs my hands before I can retract them and wraps them around him. "I don't care how many times you hit me, I don't care how many times you swear at me, nor do I care how many fits you throw when I bring up the future or how much we both obviously love each other. I only care about you and I'm not letting you go, ever." he promises.
I get up to make some hot cocoa and he follows me. "Yes?" I ask as he wraps his arms around me. "I can promise whenever you want if it makes you feel better." he murmurs. I sigh and turn to him. "Really?" I whisper. He nods grabbing a marshmallow to eat. "Can you promise to stop talking about kids and marriage until I'm ready?" I pout. He sighs and nods reluctantly.
"Can you really?" I ask raising a questioning eyebrow. "Yes, I can. I'll stop bringing it up and you can stop telling me to find someone new. I don't want someone new. I want you. I've only ever wanted you." he kisses me softly. "Awww, how adorable! I've liked other people." I pat his shoulder sympathetically and turn back to my cocoa prep work. Blaise begins to growl.
"Oh, woe is me. Who would I be dating right now is I hadn't realized I was in love with you." I tut. I turn and find Blaise staring at me as he processes my words. I sigh and kiss his cheek before continuing. I've just poured the cocoa into mugs when he snaps out of his daze. He waves me over and I move away. He pouts and holds out a hand. "No." I smack his hand away and start stacking toppings on my cocoa.
"You were out in the cold and need to warm up completely." I murmur handing him his cocoa. He adds toppings as I sip my drink. "Come here." he whispers. I step closer and he pulls me into his warm embrace. "What are you doing?" I ask. "Making up for all the times when you were mad or upset." he whispers rubbing my back.
The door opens and mum, dad, and Mere walk in. "Did you hit him again?" Mere asks with a frown. "Oh, tell me you didn't have another break down." mum groans. "She did but it was my fault this time. I misunderstood some things and rushed over here in the middle of the storm to apologize." Blaise chuckles with embarrassment.
Dad's eyes are fixed on me. "Let me guess she wrote her complaints and apologies in a cryptic word search." he frowns. "How'd you know? Is that her M.O?" Blaise wonders looking at me with a small smile. "Oh, you have no idea but if she's writing cryptic word searches it means she's trying to better herself. Come with me. I wanna show you something." dad chuckles. Blaise lets me go and ruffles my hair. I turn away hiding my blushing face and muttering to myself.
"OOH, he ran through a snowstorm for you!" mum coos. I put my head on the counter. "Please don't tease me right now." I groan. "It's painfully obvious just how much you two love and care for each other even if you don't show it as much as Meredith and Seamus. I swear you and Mere are like two sides of the same coin. The storm's getting pretty bad and I already received a letter from his mum and aunt asking if he could stay overnight. Would you like to scamper off and prep the guest room..." I bolt before she can finish.
I take my sweet time walking down to dinner. They all look away in separate directions when I enter and smile like they know something I don't know. I go to walk back out and Blaise stops me. "Come on. I promised I'd stop teasing you so much." he whispers. I sit down between him and Mere. Dinner is delicious as always and then we spend the rest of the evening playing games and drinking cocoa.
I wake in the morning to find Blaise sitting on my bed. "You were calling for me in your sleep." he smirks. I hold out my arms and he chuckles as he lays down next to me. I feel much more relaxed like this and cuddle up to him. "Feel better love?" he whispers. I nod putting my head on his chest. "I feel much better. Can you just leave the shirt here. I can put it on my pillow when I miss you." I mumble.
"Do you miss me a lot?" he wonders. I nod and wrap my arms around him. "Whenever you have to go to practice, when Draco pulls you away during study dates, when I push you away, in the middle of the night, after a nightmare..." Blaise kisses me effectively cutting me off. "I miss you too silly girl." he whispers. I smile and pull him into another kiss.
"Do you love me a lot?" he asks. I nod playing with his hands. "I love you a lot, I just don't like you." I smile. "Why don't you like me?!" he pouts sitting up. "You stole my first kiss. That was mean." I sigh looking away. "My sincerest apologies Cassidy. I never meant to act that rashly and I'm really sorry." he whispers stroking my cheek. I turn back to look at him.
He looks really sad. I sit up and cup his face. "I really do care for you Cass." he mumbles looking into my eyes. I smile and he lets his head fall slightly so we're closer together our lips just brushing each other's. "Sincerely sorry? You promise?" I murmur softly. "I promise." he whispers tucking my hair behind my ears, cupping my face, and kissing me.
Blushing I turn away. He kisses my cheek and pulls me down under the covers where we lay talking until breakfast is ready. Belatedly I realize he's holding my hand as we enter the kitchen. Dad and mum smirk. I try to yank my hand free but he's just as stubborn as I am. He pulls me to him. "Aren't you leaving soon? I think the storm has died." I look outside." I ask hopefully.
Blaise groans and clutches his chest like he's in pain. "This is the umpteenth time you've dismissed me baby bird." he frowns. "And yet you insist on going past infinity." I smirk sarcastically. "To infinity and beyond!" Mere yawns walking in. I go to tackle her but Blaise has a very good hold on me. He leads me over to the table and sits me down.
Mere looks around, stomps her foot, and pouts. "Ah, I can't believe I walked into a room of lovey dovey couples." she gags and drops to the floor dramatically. "Go to Seamus' house if you feel that left out then." mum mutters hugging dad. I hide my face in Blaise's shirt to hide my smile.
After breakfast I drag Blaise into the kitchen. "Not another cooking lesson." he groans. "You wanted to learn how to make the jiggly cheesecake. I'm teaching you." I smile softly gathering the necessary ingredients. He rolls up his sleeves and washes his hands thoroughly under Mere's watchful eye.
Mum and dad watch carefully also learning in their own way. I make Mere wash the fruit and stop pestering Blaise. "Pestering him is my job." I whisper in her ear. She turns to me with a gasp. "By the way, the Finnigan's and Zabini's are joining us for lunch. Why don't you two whip up something tasty." mum smiles. I nod and go the pantry. "Mum, can we use the food in the meat freezer?" I hear Mere ask in her sweetest voice.
"You girls have never asked for permission before so go right ahead." mum laughs in response. I bolt from the pantry and join Mere in scanning the meat freezer. Mere picks lamb and I choose the venison. Blaise has stopped working to watch. I frown at him. He puts his hands up in surrender and turns back to his task. I begin my own task and frown. "My knife set." I pout to myself. Suddenly it appears next to me and I turn to find Blaise smirking.
I blush and look away. "Stop doing that." I mutter. He kisses my cheek and goes back to his task. Dad comes over and examines my work so far making tiny comments. Mum drags him away after an hour. Mere jumps up and squeals in delight when someone rings the doorbell. We all watch her run to the front door. "Seamus!" I hear her squeal. "Explosion Boy!" mimic in the same tone.
Blaise snickers and shakes his head. Mere looks happier now that she Seamus is here. "They've been teasing me all day." she pouts. I hide behind Blaise and peek out. "I didn't tease you. Only mother teased you." I frown. "You teased me too. You said 'Pestering him is my job.' So territorial." she points out. I blush and go to the pantry looking for something non-existent.
There's another knock on the door and I rush to go check. I hug Blaise's aunt and mother. "Did you two have a fun sleepover?" his aunt asks. "I have been teased relentlessly for the way I choose to communicate. Do I look thinner from exhaustion?" I ask pinching my cheek. They share a look and laugh. They guide me back to the kitchen and Blaise nods me over. I shake my head and continue talking to his mum and aunt.
They fall silent and smile. Blaise taps my shoulder impatiently. I turn to him with an innocent smile. "I need your help." he nudges me with his foot. "Ask Mere." I frown. "Mere went into the orchard with Seamus. I need your help." he pouts. I get to my feet and follow him.
As it turns out he didn't need my assistance. I point at him ready to ream him out but he hurries over to Mere and Seamus who just walked in. Everyone jokes around while we eat lunch and when we bring out Blaise's jiggly cheesecake his aunt sits up. "Did you make this for me Cassie?" she asks. I nod at Blaise and her eyes widen in shock. "Oh, don't look at me like that. I'm completely capable." he pouts. I snicker and turn away.
Mere, Seamus, Blaise, and I play games in my room after lunch. I frown at the cards in my hand. "You must have a rotten hand to be pulling that expression." Mere smirks. "I don't know what to do." I pout. I lose quite terribly and lay back on the floor. "You guys are mean." I grumble rolling around. Blaise scoops me up as the other two clean up the cards.
We watch a few movies and I curl up in Blaise's lap. I know he's smiling but I ignore it and let my head rest on his shoulder. Mere whispers something but I'm too engrossed in the movie to hear. Blaise chuckles and rubs my arm.
I jump on Blaise's back as he walks up to the castle. He laughs and I kiss his cheek. "Wow, I never thought I'd see the day when Cassie would openly show her affection for Blaise!" Astoria pretends to sniffle. I ignore her and focus on Blaise. "If I ace my exams, can you cook for me again?" I ask. He smiles and shakes his head. "At your house? And then I can nap in your room." I poke his cheek.
"What's in it for me?" he chuckles. "You get to see me happy?" I pinch his cheek. "If you get better marks than I did I'll make you sushi and if you don't you make me that mile high avocado key lime pie." he smirks. "DEAL!" I smile and kiss the corner of his mouth. I jump down and walk with Luna and Astoria. "Wait, where are you going?" he frowns. "To study so you'll cook for me. Don't worry I'll have the ingredients and the necessary tools sent to your house so you won't get confused at the grocery store." I smirk and skip into the castle.
I'm just sitting down in the library after Quidditch practice when someone sits next to me and kisses my cheek. Blaise nudges me until I look at him and the sight almost makes me smile. He's frowning and I lean closer. "Yes, what can I not do for you today?" I ask. He opens his mouth then frowns again. "Ha, ha, ha. Not funny Cassidy. I haven't seen you in ages." he mumbles. "It's literally been a day since our last date. Now, shoo. I have to study." I turn back to my books.
I opt for studying in my dorm after that. I've been on my best behavior as of late but the studying is starting to get to me. I pull out my herb collection and start experimenting. Luna throws the window open since the dorm is filled with the smell of herbs. She sits next to me and watches with mute interest.
Mere brings us lunch and lays on her bed working on a paper. "Can you make that sleep salve again?" Mere asks. I nod and set to work. "Do you need some too Luna?" I mumble as I measure out herbs. "No, I'm going to go ask Ginny though. I'll be right back." she hurries out. I begin scraping some leaves and turn to Mere. "I need some lemon, honey, orange, cinnamon, ginger, and turmeric. Can you get it from the kitchens please?" I tick them off. She nods and hurries out the door leaving me to scrape the plants that I do have.
When they both return, I'm drying the candy molds I ordered over the break. "Are you making it edible?" Mere wonders. I nod. "Either use the salve gel, take one of the candies, or burn the packet." I point to some mini packets on my bed that are already filled. I begin working on the ingredients Mere attained for me and set to work. By the time I'm done the sun has begun to set. Luna and Mere help me send off a few orders from home.
"You're sending some to Vanessa and John?" Mere murmurs. "Yeah, about that. Daisy, Sarah, Lenna, and Wren having been having nightmares about Greyback and what he did to their families." I sigh watching the owls fly owl with their packages. We walk down to the Great Hall side by side. Luna peels off to deliver Astoria's sleep salve and Mere hurries off to deliver Ginny's.
I walk along the Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw tables delivering people's orders. I sit next to Mere and pretend to wipe sweat from my brow. "I think Blaise wants to talk to you." Luna smirks. I look up in time to see him waving for me to come over. "If I don't return tell mum and dad, I love them." I whisper dramatically. Mere scoffs and rolls her eyes as I get up.
I sit down next to Blaise and smile innocently. "Draco wants to know what you gave Astoria." he mumbles. "Aww, the wittle ferret was worried about his girlfriend! How cute! How adorable!" I smile. Draco blushes as he tries to speak amongst the now cooing Slytherins repeating my words. Blaise pinches my side and I turn to him with a pout. "Answer him. Don't tease the poor ferret." he chides.
"Fine! I gave her some salve gel and calming sweets to help her sleep." I shrug taking Blaise's drink. "What?" Blaise, Theo, and Draco cough. "I made them myself. Astoria was one of my first customers. It gets hard for some people to get proper rest around exam time, but then again you three wouldn't know much about that." I sigh.
Blaise turns me to him. "What do you mean by that little bird?" he demands. "Well, lazy people like you don't exert as much energy as the rest of us Blaise. Nor do normal people have the ability to remember information as easily as Draco and Theo. People need help and with all the small tests I've run on the students of Hogwarts via food I was able to create the salve gel, calming sweets, and sleepy incense. I sent some to Vanessa for the kids. They've been having nightmares." I shiver.
"You used data you collected from students to help those kids?" Blaise murmurs. "Well yeah. Do you think I did it because I was bored?" I scoff. People nod, murmur yeses, or look away refusing to meet my eyes. "Astoria your house is mean." I pout getting to my feet. Blaise tsks and pulls me back down. "Stay. I haven't seen you in ages." he whispers. "Not everyone is Slytherin is mean. Theo and Daphne are quite nice." Astoria mumbles.
"Yeah, but you remember the last party the Gryffindors had, right?" I point out. She nods and sighs in defeat. Blaise nudges me but I ignore him. "Don't give up that easily." Draco frowns at Astoria. "But she's right though." she smirks pinching my cheek. "When did you go to a party?" Draco asks trying not to sound left out. "It wasn't a secret. Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws were there too. Besides, we're friends with Gin and she let us know." Astoria shrugs. Blaise taps my shoulder and I turn to look at him. "Do you think I'm lazy?" he asks. I stifle a laugh. "Why, yes. The entire school knows you're lazy. That's why I threw the Quaffle at you throwing you off your game." I smile quite proud of myself. "Are you sure you're not a Slytherin? That sounded amazingly like something a Slytherin would do." Theo mutters.
Blaise holds me back at the end of dinner. "Yes?" I murmur. He doesn't say anything and just watches me. I put my hands on his shoulders but get no reaction so I opt for moving his head from side to side playfully. "What else don't I know about my girlfriend? I hate finding out from other people." he mutters. I fight back a smile and kiss him. "Not telling." I giggle and before he can respond I dart up the stairs.
