Chapter 2
The assault on the Flesh Raiders

Dracon training saber slash across the chest of last flesh raider, the raider scream in pain as the electrical current ran through its body until finely it fell unconscious, with the last of the flesh raiders dealt with Dracon was able to rescue the last capture Padawans. "Go back that way, the area is clear and healers are there to help you," said Dracon to the frightened Padawan as they nodded and gave their thanks.

With that done Dracon was about to go back on his original mission but was stopped by the ringing of his comms as he pulled it out and the holoimage of Master Relnex appeared but this time a little better as he notice the bandages wrap around his wounds.

"Great work Padawan, we have begun to heal the Padawans you rescue, thank the force that none of them were too hurt but that is not all I wish to tell you, I just got a report that there are three Padawan that was on there trials when the flesh raiders attack, we have not received any word from them but I do have their last comms location, going to send it to you hope you would be able to find them before anything bad happens," said Master Relnex as the connection was turned off.

Wasting no time he activated his map as three new dots appeared, from what he could see all three of them were gathered together, which could mean good or bad so with his targets found he use the force to make his running faster, with his force speed he made close the distance in only a matter of minutes as he came around a hill as spotted three figures, one look to be badly hurt while the other two were talking.

"How's he looking," ask the only female of the group, a dark skin human with black hair and brown eyes, as she finish talking the other one who was kneeling next to their wounded comrade spoke, he was a male Zabrak with dark skin, brown hair and also brown eyes, he was kneeling next to a light skin human male with brown hair and green eyes, they had yet to notice him as they continue to talk.

"He should be resting in the Jedi Temple, but if you're determined to press on Avitla, I can help him along," said the Zabrak as the woman spoke.

"Give him the last of the Kolto if you have to, we'll fight again soon," said the woman, Dracon then got closer to them as it was then that they began to notice him as the one named Avitla turn around and gave a sigh of relief.

"Hey good to see another Padawn alive out here, you're lucky those creatures haven't caught you yet," said Avitla as Dracon nodded as he spoke.

"I've been searching for you what happens out here,"

"You- knew they sent rescuers," said the wounded man as he rest on the ground as the Zabrak turn to look at him as he gave him some answers.

"We came seeking Knowledge of the Jedi Code, the flesh raiders interrupted our trial," said the Zabrak as he stood up as the woman spoke.

"Never fought like that in my life, we killed it but Jerridan was badly injured," said Avitla as Dracon said nothing as he heard them, he look to their sabers only to see that they were the same model as his which meant that they must have repeatedly hit the raider until it fell dead, he knew that while training saber is not meant to kill they could if one were to use repeatedly, killing is done when the body his fried from the inside but Dracon could not say anything to put them down as he could see the signs of battle all over their clothes, turning to look at all of them he knew that they would not be able to fight on.

"Your friend, how serious is the wound?" asked Dracon as he wanted to know if the Padawan would be able to leave the area with them or would need a speeder to take him.

It was the Zabrak that spoke before Avitla could. "It pains him greatly, he should not be moving, it is not the Jedi way to seek battle and revenge while a man suffers," spoke the Zabrak as Avitla was quick to speak up as she turn and gave the man a glare.

"That's your opinion Mannaus, it's not what we decided," said Avitla as she then turn back to look at him as she went on. "Training or not, a bunch of animals won't keep us from becoming Jedi," said Avitla as the wounded Jarridan began to speak.

"Isn't she right, Jedi don't give up do they," said Jarridan with pain breath, it was then Mannaus took his time to speak as he turned to look at Dracon.

"She is wrong, remember the Jedi code, There is no passion, there is serenity," said Mannaus as Avitla was once again quick to talk down her fellow Jedi as she turn to look at him,

"That's enough Mannaus!" yelled Avitla she then turn back to Dracon as she. "If you want to help us we could use you, help make the flesh raider pay," said Avitla as Dracon could feel the dark side trying to worm its way inside his fellow Padawan, he knew if it did not stop now it would later get to her and then she would be a danger to herself and others in the future so he had to make sure his words got to her and make her reconsider.

"You're walking a dangerous path you and your friends need to get back to camp while you still can," said Dracon as he hope this would make the young Padawan turn back and seek help for her friends.

"But we're so close to finishing the trial," said Avitla as she still wish to move forward it was Mannaus who spoke up next as he turn to look at Avitla.

"No, we are not," said Mannaus as this seem to calm down Avitla as she turn away as she had nothing else to say as Mannaus turned to look at him. "I see you have a signal beacon, leave it for us and as soon as we have gathered our things we will signal for a ride back," said Mannaus as Darcon nodded handling the beacon over them him.

He turn to leave but not before he heard Mannaus say. "May the force be with you," said Mannaus as Dracon said it back to them as he made his way back on his original mission.

Finding the cave was not hard, thanks to the help from the Padawan that send Master Weller, the location he only had to follow the dot and using force speed only made the time go by that much faster, he entered the mouth of the cave and as he did he quickly saw two flesh raiders were guarding the entrance, it didn't take them long to notice him and to know he didn't belong, they were quick on the attack as the two pulled out there swords and rush him.

Using force jump he was able to meet them halfway as he push one back as the other was prepared and held his ground, he focused on this one as he got in close and slash up striking the raider chest as it fell back in pain, it was then the only tried to go in for the attack but he only side doge the attack and strike the raider back making him fall as well.

Once they were dealt with he gripped his training saber tighter as he made his way deeper into the cave as he fought more flesh raiders as he did, somewhere a challenge but he push onward as he was finely getting closer to the end as he felt it in the force, after knocking down the last raider he was finely at the end but that is when he began to hear voices as he put his saber back onto his back and crouches down and sneaks in to get a better look.

As he got closer to where the voices were coming from, he spotted two figures as one was standing and the other was kneeling and looking to be in pain, from what he could see the one that was standing was a human male, fair skin and black hair, he could not see his face but he did spot the lightsaber that hung from his belt he then turns to look at the other figure as he saw it was a familiar face, it was the Bith that had contacted Master Weller about the raiders attack, it was then he could hear what man was saying.

"Stop struggling Padawan, your life was over the moment you set foot here," said the man as he cross his arms as he looks down at his fallen victim, it was then that the Padawan began to speak.

"You are a Jedi. Why would you kill me?" asked Unaw as Dracon could feel the pain and fear coming off the Padawan as he would need to act fast if he wanted to save him.

"Because the order must evolve and you are weak," said the man as Dracon took this moment to show himself.

"Whoever you are, step away from that Padawan," said Dracon as he remain calm but made sure to keep his eyes on the man as he spoke.

"Hmm, you are dangerous," said the man as that is when a thought entered his mind as he went on. "You defeated my soldiers," said the man as the Padawan spoke up but Dracon could not understand him clearly but that is when two more raiders came out from the entrance that they made to get into the training grounds as they went to stand by the man as he went on to speak.

"Not attacking, cleansing and we have only begun," said the man as Dracon could feel it in the force that the man believed in what he was doing and that thought sickened him as he saw first hand what the raiders had done to his fellow Jedi, he wanted to make sure that this man could never do it again but as those thoughts enter his mind and tried to force his anger out, he took a moment to breathe and calm himself as he remembers his training, once his anger was taken care of, he turns back to the man as he simply said.

"Lay down your weapons, I don't want to hurt you," said Dracon giving the man and his men a chance to give up but he knew that man would not accept his words.

"The old order is dead, long live the new order!" yelled the man as he pulled out a lightsaber as Dracon saw the color was blue, the man rush him as he use force speed to close the distance, Dracon only had a second to take out his own saber, he was glad that while his saber could not kill it was still strong enough to hold back the attacks as he blocks the saber from hitting him.

As Dracon was focused on the man before him the two raiders had come up from behind as they rush him with swords drawn hopping to make it easy for their leader to finish him, sensing their attack through the force he duck their swing but as he did he made sure to make a swing of his own as his saber slash one of them in the middle of there chest taking one out but still going with the momentum he came back around as he brought his saber down on the back of the last raider making him cry out in pain as he fell forward.

Taking a moment to breathe, it was he hoped to have but the man saw this as a sign to attack as he rush back into attacking him, Dracon block one, two and duck the third swing, using force push he was able to push the man back and made him stumble, taking this moment to attack Dracon rush in as he brought his saber down onto them man chest, causing him to scream out in pain until he went limp and unconscious. Removing his saber and putting it back onto his back Dracon was given his chance to breathe as Padwan Unaw ran up to his side.

"That was amazing. I thought we were dead," said Unaw as Dracon send him a smile, that is when another figure chose that moment to arrive, and from what Dracon could see he look like a Master.

"You too alright, what happen here," ask the Master as Unaw was the one to speak.

"This Jedi attacked us, Master Orgus. He was sick... confused," said Unaw as Dracon nodded to that as Master Orgus turn to look at the knock-out figure than to the both of them.

"Thank the force that you're both safe," said Master Orgus as he kneels down to get a better look at the man, he reaches out into the force and sense that the man was still alive just knock out, that was something he and the rest of the Master and Knights notice when they made their way to rescue the Padawan that was trap in the training ground, a lot of the raiders were knock out but not killed, it seems that somebody was using a training saber to take them all out, it would take someone with great skill to continue to do this and it seems that he found the one responsible, but before he could think more about that he needs to check on the man and from what he knew this man was no Jedi, a lest not one that was train here on Tython, and the last thing he notices was the lightsaber that the man had it was familiar to him, old images of his lost Padawan came to him mind but he push them away as he needed to focuse on the here and now as he took the lightsaber from the man and clip it to his belt as he stood up and turn to look at he Padawan that had defected the man.

"This man's no Jedi, at least not one of us," said Master Orgus as Dracon was quick to respond.

"If he wasn't like us, what was he?" asked Dracon as Master Orgus was silent a moment then spoke.

"I'll call him Sith but the Empire doesn't know where Tython is, but this lightsaber, there's something familiar about it, strange, you held off all these attackers by yourself with only a practice saber impressive," said Master Orgus as Dracon nodded as he spoke.

"I follow my instincts that's all," was all Dracon had to say about that, he was glad that none of them died as they would live to stand trial for their crimes.

"They served you well, this battle's over but we don't want any more flesh raiders coming through here," said Master Orgus as he step away from both of the Padawan and move to stand at the new cave entrance that was made, it was then that he raises his hand and the cave began to shake, both Dracon and Unaw step back as they look up to see that rocks were falling down toward it felt like the whole cave was going to collapse but before that the entrance was the first to fall as rock began to cover it making sure it could not be used again.

Master Orgus then turn back to them as he began to speak. "That should hold them back for now," said Master Orgus as Dracon look on in awe as he hope one day they would be able to do that as he told him so.

"I can see why you're a Jedi Master,"

"When you get as old as me you'll learn a few tricks," said Master Orgus as Padawan Unaw spoke up.

"I'm injured, Master Orgus. Are the training grounds safe for travel?" ask Padawan Unaw as Master Orgus shakes his head.

"Not yet, I'll get you to a Medcenter," he then turns to look at Dracon. "You seem all right to travel alone, report to the Jedi Council," said Master Orgus, but thing was that Dracon didn't know where to go.

"I only just arrived on Tython, where am I going?" ask Dracon as Master Orgus was quick to give him directions.

"Follow the path leading out of this valley, you'll find the Jedi Temple through the mountain pass, see you there," said Master Orgus as he left followed by Padawan Unaw but before they left Dracon had still one more question to ask.

"What about these raiders and this man, do you need me to stay here or," left the question hanging as Master Orgus wave his hand.

"No need, I already send this location to the other Jedi that is pushing back the flesh raiders that were still here, they will take care of them for now," said Master Orgus as Dracon nodded as the watched them leave as he stayed a back to see what else this cave have but only for a few minutes as he too made his way out and towards the path that Master Orgus told him to follow.

Here is a little note that I wish to say about this Chapter, the training saber always bother me as I am sure you all know it was just meant to train the Padawans and learners but not meant to kill so for me to see that it does kill the enemies just seems weird for me I know that I put in that the three Padawans kill a flesh raider but that was only after they repeatedly hitting it, so for my story as long as Dracon uses the training saber his enemy will not die they will be knock out but is not to say he will have to kill somebody as he will get his lightsaber later on and that will not have a training mode but will see what happens later.
