This is set in season 7 of NCIS after they rescued Ziva and she's a full agent. Also, set in seasons 3-4 of Criminal Minds. Disclaimer I do not own criminal minds or NCIS.

After the family-type moment at Ziva's apartment, the two women packed their bags and made their way to Gibbs' house with the rest of the team.

"Tony move your hand before you don't have one," Emily said in a threatening voice.

She was in the back of Gibbs' car stuck in-between Tim and Tony. And if she had to pry Tony's hand off of her thigh one more time she was going to lose it.

"THAT'S IT TONY," and that's what was last heard before Emily went on a rampage in Russian. It was five minutes before a loud ring interrupted her.

Spencer, oh god. Already?

Emily pressed the bright green button on the last ring, "hello?"

"Hey Em!" Spencer responded enthusiastically, "I just wanted to tell you that we are at the airport, about to drive back to the b.a.u."

"Wow, that was a quick case."

"Yeah, it turned out to be a dud. The sheriff already had the unsub in custody when we got there and forgot to inform us. We got the closest flight out," Emily did not doubt that everyone in the car could hear the conversation since Spencer was practically screaming into the phone to be heard over the jet.

"Oh, that sucks."

"Yeah, but it would've been better if you were here."

"If only," Emily looked up and rolled her eyes when she saw Ziva raising her eyebrows expectedly. "Hey um I have an announcement so can you tell the team that ill be there soon."

"Yeah, of course, is everything okay?" Spencer ran his free hand through his hair on the other side of the line.

"Yes, everything is fine Spence."

"Are you sure?'

"Yes. Listen I can barely hear you over the jet so I'll talk to you when I get to the BAU, okay?"

"Okay see you soon Em."

"Well, that was awkward." Tony laughed, stopped when he saw the anger in Emily's eyes.

"Quantico?" Gibbs asked Emily in the review mirror.

"What?"

"You're office is in Quantico, right?"

"Yeah, why? No, Gibbs, it's fine. I can take a taxi."

"Too late, I've already turned around."

"Well, thank you. It will be nice to have some moral support when I tell the team," Emily smiled.

After everyone piled out of Gibbs' car they made their way through security. A walk through a metal detector and pat down later they made their way to the elavator.

"It is going to be okay Emily." Ziva reassured her in Hebrew.

"I don't know Ziva, this could go one of ten ways." Emily didnt bother switching languages, she was to busy waiting for the doors to open.

Tony put his hand on Emily's shoulder, "Even though i have no idea what she just said, i agree."

Emily shot him a grateful smile.

The elevator dinged as they hit the 12th floor, "here goes nothing," Emily muttered. The 5 agents walked out of the elevator and into the BAU.

"Emily, darling!! I've missed you!" Garcia almost tackled Emily.

"Garcia you saw me, like two days ago!" Emily grunted in pain as Garcia hugged a little to tight.

"Are you okay? OMG I'm so sorry! Did I hurt you?"

"No you didn't hurt me. My ribs are just a little sore."

"I didn't hear anything about your ribs from the doctor." Gibbs concluded.

Emily had a guilty look on her face, "listen, a grown man put all of his body weight on my ribs so I'm not surprised they're sore."

"Did the doctor at least check them out?"

"Um, okay why don't we all go into the conference room." Emily steered all of the agents up the stair and into the room.

"You said you had an announcement?" Morgan asked.

"Is it good or bad news?" JJ and the rest of the profilers sat done at the table whilst the NCIS agents, including Emily, stood.

"Um, a little bit of both?" Emily tensed which they noticed. Emily hated being the center of attention and these last few days were making her stress levels go through the roof.

The agents that stood huddle around Emily, acting as a shield.

"Okay let's get this over with, I'm leaving the BAU." Emily took a deep breath as everyone in the room went silent. You could hear a pin drop.

"What?" Hotch interrupted.

"I'm still going to be a FBI profiler but I will not be reporting to Hotch anymore." Emily explained.

"And who would you be reporting to?" Rossi looked at Gibbs and back at Emily.

"Special Agent Gibbs." Emily took a second before starting again, "while I was working the case, NCIS director Leon Vance had offered me a job as a liaison between the BAU and NCIS. He had already talked it over with Strauss and it was up to me if I wanted to take it."

"And you did?" Spencer asked heartbroken.

Emily looked at all of the profilers, they all had looks of sadness, anger, emotionless, and betrayal. "Yes."

"How would it work?" Garcia broke the silence.

"I am reporting to NCIS headquarters as an agent of NCIS and the BAU. I'm apart of the NCIS field team that consist of these agents. I have a badge and desk at NCIS. I'm still a certified supervisory special agent but now at both NCIS and the BAU. And this also means that the BAU and NCIS would be working a little closely." Emily explained.

There were a few minutes of silence as the team swallowed all of the information, "so you're leaving us?"

"I'm leaving the job not the team Morgan."

"Leaving the job is leaving us! We just got you back and now you want to leave?"

"You guys are the ones that left me first." Emily said bitterly.

Everyone was taken back by her comment, "you don't mean that." You could hear the hurt in Garcia's voice as she spoke.

"Yes I do," she stood up for herself. "I never felt comfortable going undercover in Colorado, but not a single person cared. Except Dave of course."

"Prentiss, you know that we tried to get you both out of there, even when you were supposedly dead." Hotch explained.

"You 'tried to get me out of there'? You guys weren't even the ones that found me!" Emily exclaimed.

"How come you keep say 'me'?" JJ asked.

"Yeah, Spencer was there too you know." Morgan crossed his arms.

"No he wasn't! Every once in a great while he would stand up to Cyrus but nothing worked so I guess he just gave up." Emily took a breathe to calm herself, "Spencer was allowed to do whatever he pleased whileI was chained to the ceiling."

Reid looked down and stayed quiet.

"Reid?" Rossi asked.

"What do you want me to say?!"

"Anything was better than nothing." Emily whispered. "I thought you guys would actually be happy for me, that I found a family that treats me like one of them instead of some kind of disease but I guess not."

"I'm happy for you Em." Rossi stepped forward, "come on let's talk in my office."

Emily nodded and left the room with Rossi.
