Chapter 4
The Trials of the Masters

As Dracon left his Master's room as he made his way around the Temple, he wanted to find Master Muheeda and see if he could teach him any new skills that he would need for his coming missions, after exploring around for some time he enter one of the rooms that look like a library as there were holobooks lining the walls and he spotted Jedi reading from them, that is when he also saw a man giving lessons to several Padawans, as he got closer Dracon could see that the man was old but felt strong and wise beyond his age, one of the Padawan then raise there hand.

"Master Muheeda, do you know when we may begin learning more about lightsaber combat," ask the Padawan as there were small laughs around the class as Master Muheeda gave him a small smile.

"It will come in time young Padawan, what I will teach you all will help better defend you in battle and also strengthen your mind against the dark side of the force, you must not take what I am about to teach you lightly is this understood," said Master Muheeda as the class nodded, even Dracon himself as he went to stand with the group as Master Muheeda turn to look at him and nod as the began to speak.

What followed was about two hours of saber practice as they learn new defenses blocks for their training saber and for their future lightsaber, Master Muheeda also taught them new strikes that to use for their sabers, the best way to power through an enemy own defenses and make the finishing blow, after Master Muheeda was done for the day he gave the class one last piece of advice.

"And don't forget Padawans, it is not weakness to ask for help when one does not know what to do but it is a weakness when one asks another to do one own task," finish Master Muheeda as the class disperses leaving Dracon alone as he figures it would be good to keep exploring the outside of the Temple but he would need to find his way to the Twi'lek village soon, so spending a little more time looking around and talking with the local vendor he decided that now was a good time to head to the Twi'lek village as he then made his way outside but as he was making his way out toward the village he was stopped by one of the Jedi and from what Dracon could see and sense the man must be a Master as he stops and turns to speak with the man.

"Yes may I help you," said Dracon as he looks the Master before him as he was a human male with black hair and dark skin, his eyes look to be a brown color, Dracon didn't say anything else as the man began to speak as he listens.

"Padawan, My name is Master Liam Dentiri I heard you have begun your trials, Master Orgus speaks very highly of you, no douth you're pleased to come this far," Master Dentiri as the man turn around and look out into the training ground as he continues to speak. "But some Jedi have the ability to do more, help more people, interested?" asked Master Dentiri as he turn back to look at him, Dracon thought this over as he needed to make he was to the Twi'lek village soon but this could better prepare him like Master Muheeda training so he nodded.

"I always look for a way to help others so yes Master," said Dracon as Master Dentiri nodded as he went on.

"A war is brewing in the greater galaxy, The Sith Empire plots against the Republic. and the Republic looks to the Jedi for aid, but not all who train to become Jedi, are skilled combatants and leaders, many are scholars, diplomats, strategizes and scientists, which is why we've created a simulation to test Jedi and Padawans and certify them to lean Republic troops," said Master Dentiri as this caught Dracon attention as this would allow him to take charge on the battlefield in case he ever needed to command troops as he nodded.

"If you're looking for a leader, you've come to the right person, where do I start?" boosted Dracon as Master Dentiri noticed this as he went on to say.

"Confidence is good. A leader must have confidence, in himself and others. Just don't get arrogant," said Master Dentiri as Dracon look away for a moment embarked as the Master then turn around and began typing onto a terminal as he spoke again. "In just a moment the Padawan that I've sent out to test the simulation should just about done," said Master Dentiri as a moment later the familiar Sith and his Trandoshan companion appear before them as the Master greeted him.

"Ah Padawan Travis Armaros, it seems you completed Combat level 3, amazing simply amazing," said Master Dentiri as Dracon finely knew the Jedi Sith name and seeing from the fact that nobody was batting an eye about him being here meant he was supposed to be here, the Master then turn to him and began to introduce him to the Sith as Dracon nodded back the Trandoshan companion said nothing as he watches him closely with his eyes as the Travis began to speak.

"It's good to meet other Padawans who wish to try out this program, this will better help our fellow Jedi when the time ever comes for when we need to lead troops into battle," said Padawan Travis as Dracon nodded to this as the Padawan went on. "But I'm sorry I won't be able to see you're turn on the simulation but I have other things that require my attention, so I must bid you both a fair well," said Padawan Armaros as the Sith and his companion left and headed out of the Temple ground.

Master Dentiri then turn back to him and began to tell him how the simulation would work and what he would need to do as Dracon absorbed the information, this only took Dracon only a few minutes as he use his saber to strike down the droids that were sent to attack him, he then heard the voice of Master Dentiri called out to him as he went to the Master and heard what he had to say about the way he took care of the droids.

"Fine job Padawan Coyne, you were close to beating Padawan Armaros time, but that is fine," said Master Dentiri as he just basically told him that he wasn't good pr not amazing enough but Dracon calm his mind and tried to not let that feeling control him as he let it go into the force and focused on the task at hand as the Master went on. "But you still passed this test, I wish to set up another test soon, so if you will, give me some time and you can try level two," said Master Dentiri as Dracon nodded at this, he then said his goodbye as he finely left the Temple grounds as he took out his map and look to where the Twi'lek village was at and he follows the map.

But as he was about to take the path that would lead him towards the Twi'lek village he stop as he felt something pulling him to the other path, following this feeling he felt the force was pulling him somewhere or to something as he followed the path until he spotted what looks like a cave entrance up high, he looks down to see an almost dry river bank as that once must have been a much larger river, he then turns back to look up only to still feel the force telling to he needed to go up there, that is when he thought about using the rocks that rested on the side of the mountain and so using them he was able to make his way up the cliff until finely he reaches the top and the mouth of the cave.

"That is when he felt it and saw the green glowing cube laying at the entrance of the mouth, he felt the force telling him to grab it as he reach out with his hand, the moment his finger touch the cube he immediately felt an increase of power, not the force but something to alike stamina or... endurance, he felt like he could fight longer and move faster, Dracon felt great, he felt powerful, but as he thought this he was taken out from his musing as he heard the now familiar voice of Padawan Armaros as he turns to see the Sith and his companion coming out from within the cave, Dracon turn look behind him only to see that he had taken out several Mantra Cats, turning back to the Sith he faces him as he spoke.

"Can I help you?" ask Dracon he hope the Sith was not here trying to kill him, "But if he tried then he would be ready," thought Dracon as he watch the Sith stand there as it took him a moment to realize he was staring at the cube in his hand as Dracon quickly put it away.

It was then that the Sith finally turn to look at him as he spoke. "Don't worry I won't try to take you're Datacron, it's yours now, just as this one is mind," said Padawan Armaros as he pulled out a purple cube from his robes as it glows a shining purple just as his green one glowed before he could have a chance to speak more about this he was stopped by the Padawan.

"These are called Datacrons, rare type holocrons, while normal holocrons were used to hold the teachings of Jedi and their knowledge and could only be open by a Jedi, a Datacron is still the same but with the difference is that anybody could open them and learn their secrets, of course, you needed to bo force sensitive to learn any powers but a non-force sensitive could still learn what the Datacron but they would never be able to tap into the force like us," said Padawan Armaros as Dracon took in this information as he turns to leave but he still wanted to learn more as he steps forward and spoke.

"Wait... how did you learn of these?" ask Dracon as the Padawan turn back and look at him as he began to speak.

"I found this one in the ruined city nearby, it was at the tallest place that I could find, it took some time to get up there and I almost fell but I found it at the foot of a Jedi Statue as I hear it's calling me, after that, I search the Temple archives for it until I learn that there are several more across the Galaxy and I wish to find more on my journeys, now I must leave so fair well, Padawan Coyne hope we meet again soon," said Padawan Armaros as this time he didn't stop him as he turns to look back at his Datacron after looking at it some more he decided that he would look at it later as he put it away and headed by down the way he came as he returns back to his originals path towards the Twi'lek village.
