Marinis City, Landing Pad 02
Planet Marinis
Sakura sitting down on top of the ship couldn't help to be amazed at the man. After a few hours of sleep, he was hitting the ground running organizing and processing the trades with the UNSC personal. With inspection personal looking over the gear and talking to clones of Naruto they were moving crate after crate at a rapid speed. It must be because of the war. They would need supplies to maintain their fleets and create new ones. Taking more notes on her pad as she continued her monitor of the mystery known as Naruto. His energy, stamina, and recovery were beyond unnatural. Even for an elemental. Shikamaru and Chouji were still sleeping. Learning more about him would be her personal mission.
With the signing of some final paperwork another truck was loaded up and leaving the pad as another truck pulled. Feeling a tap on his shoulder Naruto turned around to see Shikamaru there signaling him to follow. With a nod he followed him inside the ship to the conference area where Anko was waiting with some documents on hand.
"Great, you are here. Have a seat so we can talk about some things" offered Anko as Naruto sat down with Shikamaru.
"So, I went over some documents last night and this morning. There is still a lot for me to sort through, but I need to know what your goal and plans are. Will you just wipe out Gato, will you just take over, are you just going to hit and run to fill your pockets, or do you have something greater in mind?" she questioned as Naruto toke a deep breathe in thought before answering.
"Gato is a threat to everyone in this sector. He is taking advantage of the war to line up his pockets at the expense of the people's suffering. I want him gone but it also doesn't hurt to take what he has. I can build my crew and explore the galaxy much faster with his resources" he answered to which she nodded in understanding and smirked in enthusiasm.
"Alright, then let's get started. Minus the warehouse we took out last night he has five more in this city and ten more across the planet. You have a contract to take out each one for 100,000. The ball is in your court" she explained typing on the holo deck to show the areas on the 3d projected map. Naruto looked at it for a second before turning to Shikamaru.
"I want a raise if you are going through this. Add being your strategist and advisor to my title" he started as Naruto smirked and gave him the thumbs up.
"It will take some time to install the slip space drive so we can hit the ones in this city only. We will also need a location for the supplies from each hit to be dropped off. We can't keep taking it here. It will draw attention and get in the way of the installing of the drive" he started as Anko tap a few things on her pad.
"Done. Warehouse number 028 has been offered to you as a gift for your upcoming work"
"You work fast. Good. We also must hit the warehouses fast. He is mostly likely going to buff up the security after losing his last warehouse. He could probably hit two more here before we have to hit the others around the planet. At most three others before we need to leave this planet to his other sites. We need to continue the hit and run until we can go for the bigger stuff" he explained as the other two nodded.
"We will hit another warehouse tonight. Chouji will be on standby with the LSVR. Rest up and prepare. Also, when I said we that doesn't include you Anko. You are still on bedrest. I will keep you in the loop during the operation" he ordered as Anko went from a jump in excitement to a pout.
"Aww your no fun. Fine! I'm eating all the cookies then" she finished before marching to where the food was stored. "You better not! Those are my chocolate chip cookies!" he roared chasing after her as Tenten walked in confused.
"Do I want to know what that was about?" she questioned as Shikamaru shook his head no. "Once the delivery is complete, we will order and have the slip space drive delivered here today. Do you know how to install it?"
"Slip space drive. That's easy for me but it will take some time. I need to perform many checks and tests to make sure we don't split the ship in half. I heard many stories of that happening to other ships in the past".
"How long will it take?". "Hmm, I'll say 3 days. That would be comfortable for me" as he nodded and tap a few buttons on his own pad. "You will have 3 days"
With that over the last three days the party of Naruto, Shikamaru, Chouji and later towards the end Anko started their raids on Gato's warehouses. The fool while having loads of money was very cheap when it comes to hiring protection of his warehouses. While he may have increased the number of guards, they were of low training that the four cleared the warehouse of them within a few minutes. Due to his sloppiness, they were able to raid 3 warehouses before stopping in order to go after the others across the planet.
It was at the point that they had their own warehouse filled with back up supplies while most of what they collected from the warehouses they ended up selling immediately to the UNSC. 300,000 credits for the contracts they completed and another 3.1 million credits for selling the collected items made the crew extremely happy. It allowed for an increase in pay, a few upgrades to the ship, and better gear. One upgrade that Tenten was loving at the moment was two four-barrel turrets mounted to the front roof of the ship. Now the ship wasn't defenseless. But she did have her eye on something else that would benefit the crew.
1230 hours, September 26, 2527 (military calendar)
Barren Desert
Planet Marinis
Currently the ship was parked in the middle of the desert as they looked over the information for a large warehouse off the map. On the holo deck the crew watched the warehouse through the camera they set up. The warehouse was heavily defended with barbwire over the fence. From time to time, they watched the roof of the large warehouse opened up for a ship to land. The ship was a heavy armored and covered GR -75 medium transport. Most likely moving shipment from place to place. Zooming in they were taking notes of the number of guards and other security measures until a figure caught Anko's attention.
"Stop! That man right there! Zoom in" she yelled out as Shikamaru tapped a few things and zoomed in on the figure. It showed a large man in marine like armor (think halo wars marine armor) painting blue and black camo patterns. He had bandages covering his lower face and a massive sword on his back. Next to him was a female in similar armor and a black ballistic mask covering her face.
"That is Zabuza Momochi" she finished as Shikamaru pulled up his information by his face on the projector.
"He is a ex – ODST turned mercenary. Record for having numerous of completed missions with the title of 'Demon of the Silent Mist'. Stealth expert and close combat specialist. This may be extremely difficult" finished Shikamaru as they read more of his stats.
"Don't worry. I will take him. Gramps trained me for things like this. The rest of you will have to take care of the rest of the guards" spoke up Naruto gaining the parties attention.
"And his partner?" "Handled but I will keep in comms in the event that I need assistance."
"Ok we also have to take out that satellite dish. We don't want them calling for back up either" added Shikamaru as Tenten smirked. "I'll take care of it the minute you go loud"
"Tsunami, Sakura. Do have any combat experience?" asked Naruto as they shook their heads no. There was no need for a medic to be combat trained and Tsunami only handle financial work. Seeing this Anko smirked.
"Well on our of time I will train you two to at least know some self-defense. If we don't die in our upcoming mission. But for now, I will train Tsunami on piloting basics and Sakura on basic weapons. This will allow you to pull your weight around more and force Naruto to give you a raise" she added making Naruto glare at her.
"I'm happy you are improving their knowledge but not so much with the effort of draining the account to zero. I'm just lucky I don't have to pay you"
"Well for now but I have you know that my services are of different 'variety' and very expensive" she said while giving off a lude look making the crew blush in embarrassment.
Standing up and clearing his throat to steer the conversation to a different direction. "Alright everyone. Go prepare and gear up. We will strike once the sun goes down" he ordered before moving quickly to his room as everyone left quickly as well leaving a laughing Anko.
Master Bedroom
Entering his room to see Kiko laying curled up on his bed. She seemed like she wanted to take ownership of this room as this was where she could be found most of the time. Or maybe it's because of the bed. It really is a very comfortable bed. Taking off his jacket to place to the side he clicked a button on the wall to open a secret compartment in his room. A wall opening to reveal a stash of weapons and armor. Starting off first he grabbed a long collar wind breaker coat to put on followed by a set of standard issue black colored marine armor that he bought for the crew recently. The armor was the same that Zabuza wore as well. Once placing the armor on he started equipping his pouches containing some gear and his weapons. This included a few trap grenades and kunai, a katana on his back, his short sword on his lower back, a few grenades strapped to his waist, magnum on his thigh, and his battle rifle slinged to his chest. Seeing that he was ready to go he gave Kiko a few pets before heading outside to meet the crew at the ramp.
It wasn't long until the four other members coming on the mission appeared. Like him they were wearing new body armor but with different variety of weapons. Shikamaru stuck with his battle rifle like Chouji was sticking to his Assault rifle. Anko brought out her personal modified sniper rifle which was a SRS99 series. You could see it was colored dark purple with brown snakes painted all over. Attached to the front was silencer. Tenten coming down last with something that surprise everyone. A M41 SPNKR. A fucking rocket launcher, with spare rounds strapped to her back.
"Dear god woman" muttered Shikamaru looking in shock as Anko just laugh. "I love the way you think woman" she added
"Well at least we know how you are going to take out that tower" muttered Chouji as he watched her rubbed the weapon with love joy and excitement for what she was going to do. Seeing everyone was ready they started their hike to get into position. No vehicles of course to maintain a low profile but Naruto had a few clones in the ship on standby and charged with chakra. Reaching a cliff just above the warehouse he called the group to a halt.
"Alright let's get into position. Anko, Tenten maintain the high position" he ordered as the two nodded and got into the prone position aiming down at the warehouse. "Let's go" he signaled the other two as they followed him down to get into a hiding position and wait for the night.
