"So, the rumors are true, Darth Maul lives," the Seventh Sister observed.
"Formerly Darth, now just Maul," Maul corrected the Inquisitor as he slowly walked away from the temple's entrance.
"Satele, step away from him!" Kanan warned Satele as he knew who Maul was and what he did to her and Sabine's people.
"Kanan, I swear we have a temporary alliance with him!" Satele told him.
"Who's to say he'll backstab us," Sabine said, arguing with her sister.
"Perhaps my actions will speak louder than words," Maul suggested as he detached a lightsaber that looked like it was made from parts of an Inquisitor's one from his cane before igniting it with crimson colored blades appearing from both ends of the hilt before leaping towards the Inquisitors and clashed his saber with two of theirs before kicking the Seventh Sister backwards with his cybernetic foot.
"What are we waiting for?" Satele asked as she reignited her lightsaber as Maul swirled his lightsaber around as he approached the Fifth Brother before kicking him back a bit before seeing the other two Inquisitors running towards him, only for Maul to jump backwards, avoiding their sabers before clashing his with the Seventh Sister's for a brief second before the Eighth Brother leaped between Maul and the Seventh Sister and clashed their sabers together before kicking him out of the way as he clashed his saber back with the Seventh Sister's.
"Why would you come here?" The Seventh Sister asked him.
"He knows of the artifact!" The Fifth Brother stated as Kanan clashed his saber with his own with Sabine clashing her electrostaff with his lightsaber as well, While Ahsoka clashed one of her lightsabers with the Eighth Brother's.
"The holocron, do you have it?" The Eighth Brother asked Maul.
"You will find out soon enough," Maul answered.
"Fall back!" The Seventh Sister ordered as the three Inquisitors used their lightsabers as propellers again as they flew away and retreated from the Jedi Knight, both Mandalorians, Ahsoka and Maul.
"Maul, what game are you playing?" Ahsoka asked Maul.
"The end game, Lady Tano. The end game," Maul answered, "I am the enemy of your enemy now, and I have my own reasons for wanting the Empire to fall." He then inhaled deeply, "But we have little time. The one they call Vader will be here soon."
"How do you know this?" Kanan asked him.
"His dogs will tell him where we are," Maul answered, deactivating his saber as he turned around as Kanan, Satele and Ahsoka did the same as they placed their lightsabers on their hips Sabine collapsed her electrostaff and placed it back over her back, "One Jedi, two Mandalorian ones and a part timer. Oh, he will come. He will not be able to resist us."
"Okay, hold on, there is no us. Dealing with Inquisitors is one thing, Vader is another," Kanan argued, "And I'm not convinced we're all on the same side anyway."
"I agree," Sabine said, agreeing with Kanan, who crossed his arms, "Besides he divided our people, Satele."
"Kanan, Sabine, we should trust him for the moment. See what he knows," Satele said before taking the Sith holocron out, "Uh, look! He and I took this from the temple together! This is why we came here, right? To find out about the Sith. To find a way to beat them. Ahsoka, you said we came here for knowledge."
"Isn't that a Sith holocron?" Sabine asked her master and Ahsoka.
"It is, Sabine," Ahsoka said, confirming her suspicions before turning to Satele, "Satele, there is no way a Jedi can unlock that holocron."
"But you may unlock the Temple itself," Maul offered.
"How?" Satele asked with curiosity, "Tell me how."
"At the top of the temple is a chamber. Connect the holocron to the obelisk within and you can unlock the ancient knowledge of the Sith," he explained.
"Why are you working so hard to keep us here?" Ahsoka asked Maul as he walked past them.
"I cannot defeat Vader alone," Maul answered.
"Then you know who Vader is then?" Ahsoka asked him.
"He is what I should have been," Maul answered.
"I say we stay with him," Satele told Kanan.
"If it's a way to defeat the Sith, then I'm in," Sabine said, agreeing with her sister.
"Yeah, I say we go, so that settles it," Kanan told them.
"Are you such cowards that you would run from this chance to defeat your enemies?" Maul scoffed as he turned back around towards them, "Who slaughter your friends?"
"Kanan?" Satele said as she looked at her and Sabine's master, who looked at Ahsoka as she nodded at him, telling him that she agrees with the twins.
"Chopper, we're staying for a while," Kanan said as he took out his comlink after he sighed before Chopper grunted a response, "Yeah, I know it's a bad idea. Just scan for incoming ships with RG and keep the Phantom out of sight." Chopper then grunted another response.
"Oh, how exciting. We're all on the same side," Maul said as he approached Kanan on his left side.
"Just show us how to get to the top, and hurry," Kanan told him.
"This way," Maul said before he began to show them how to get to the top of the temple, while the Seventh Sister's seeker probe droid watched and recorded parts of their conversation from above in a hiding spot around the temple.
"He and I took this from the temple together! And this is why we came here, right? To find out about the Sith!" The three Inquisitors heard a recording that the Seventh Sister's seeker probe droid of Satele say.
"The Mandalorian, Satele Wren has the holocron," the Seventh Sister realized.
"We cannot let her use it," the Fifth Brother stated.
"I will reclaim it!" The Eighth Brother said before igniting his lightsaber and jumped away as the Fifth Brother grabbed his lightsaber from his back as he went to stop him.
"Wait! Let him thin them out, then we will retrieve Lord Vader's prize," the Seventh Sister told him.
"Now what?" Kanan asked Maul as the five of them approached one of the corners of the temple as the former Sith placed his hand on one of the walls, causing it to slowly lower down towards them, revealing that it was a lift.
"Wow!" Satele said with amazement in her voice before walking onto the lift with Sabine following her before Maul did the same.
"Only three," Maul told Kanan, holding up two of his fingers as the Jedi Knight approached him, "No more, no less."
"Yeah? Well, these three come as a triad," Kanan retorted as he pushed Maul off the lift and looked at Ahsoka as he stood next to Sabine and Satele on the lift, "You okay riding with Grandpa?"
"I'll be fine," Ahsoka reassured him as Maul placed his hand on the temple's wall, causing the lift to power back up as it slowly began to rise upwards towards the top of the temple.
"Satele, listen to me, he's using you," Kanan said as he placed his hand over her left pauldron.
"Are you ever gonna trust me to think for myself? To follow my instincts?" She asked him.
"I do trust you, Satele," he told her.
"Sis, remember what he did to our people after he took the Darksaber from Pre Vizsla after beating him in a trial by combat in the throne room within Sundari when we were toddlers," Sabine reminded her sister.
"I know, Sabine, I'm just trying to see what he's planning," Satele told her.
"All right, Satele," Kanan sighed, "Just be careful."
"Yeah, be careful around him, Sat," Sabine said, agreeing with their master.
"I will," Satele reassured them as the lift neared the top when she suddenly saw the Eighth Brother fly towards them with his lightsaber, "Look out!"
Just then the Inquisitor kicked Kanan backwards and landed on his stomach as Satele grabbed her lightsaber from her armor's belt and reignited it, while Sabine grabbed her electrostaff from her back and extended it as both Mandalorians charged at the Inquisitor with Satele clashing her lightsaber's blade with his a few times before her kicked her from behind, causing her to fall onto the ledge with her holding onto it as she was about to fall off as he clashed his blade with Sabine's electrostaff a few times before he kicked her back a bit.
"Give me the holocron!" The Eighth Brother demanded Satele before deactivating his lightsaber's blade and activated a saw feature which began spinning as he slowly moved it towards her hand.
"Satele!" She suddenly heard Maul call her name as he and Ahsoka with their lightsabers ignited as maul rushed towards the Inquisitor and clashed his saber with the Inquisitor's as Ahsoka rushed over to Kanan to see if the Jedi Knight was alright as Sabine helped her sister up, while Maul extended his arm out as he used the Force to push the Inquisitor off the temple before he used his lightsaber as a propeller again as he used it to fly away as Ahsoka helped Kanan back up to his feet before they saw the other two Inquisitors using their lightsabers as propellers to fly around the temple.
"Looks like they figured out your plan," Kanan told Maul.
"Then we shall alter it," Maul said as he crossed his arms, "I recommend that we split up and scale the Pyramid from two sides. They will also divide their forces."
"And let me guess, Satele goes with you?" Kanan surmised, "No thanks."
"It is the logical choice," Maul reasoned.
"I say we split up," Satele said, agreeing with maul, "Trust me." Kanan then sighed, knowing that it was useless to argue with her.
"Excellent, excellent," Maul said as he and Satele walked onto a lift in front of them, "You will find another lift on the far side, we will meet again on the next terrace." He then placed his hand on the wall next to him, causing the lift they were on to begin to slowly rise upwards.
"She'll be fine," Ahsoka reassured Kanan.
"I agree with Ahsoka," Sabine said as she walked with the Togruta.
"Yeah? How do you both know that?" Kanan asked them.
"Because you taught her," Ahsoka answered as she turned around to look at him.
"And besides she's a Mandalorian like me after all," Sabine added.
"The dark side fights without mercy, without remorse. If you want to be victorious, you need to find the same strength inside you," Maul told Satele as the lift they were on continued to rise upwards.
"Kanan always said fighting is a last resort, not a first," Satele argued.
"Satele, you were given your gift for one reason, to use it," Maul explained as he placed his hand over her armor's right pauldron.
The lift soon reached the top and both Satele and Maul walked off the lift as one of the Seventh Sister's probe droids spied on them as they began to walk towards a flight of stairs where a few petrified remains of the ancient cataclysm that happened on the planet were at as a ground of more of the Seventh Sister's seeker probe droids hovered behind them and began to fly down towards them as they ignited their lightsabers as the seeker probe droids began firing blaster bolts at them with both Force-Sensitives using their sabers to deflect the blaster bolts as they walked backwards onto the steps behind them as the blaster bolts that they deflected with their sabers were then deflected back at the seeker probe droids, destroying them on contact. Maul then jumped towards a seeker probe droid as set more seeker probe droids appeared and slashed it with his lightsaber as the other one fired at blaster bolt at Satele, which she evaded as an Inquisitor's lightsaber was thrown towards her from behind before she used her saber the knock it back up the stairs as landed back in the Seventh Sister's hand who stood at the top of the stairs as her mask retracted before laughing as Maul twirled his lightsaber around as he and Satele rushed towards her.
"That doesn't sound good!" Kanan said as he heard Satele yell as he, Sabine and Ahsoka traveled up the other lift.
"I agree, Kanan and it sounds like she's in trouble," Sabine said, agreeing with her master as the lift reached the top, where the Fifth Brother was waiting for them with his lightsaber ignited and twirled it around behind them.
"Look out!" Ahsoka warned them as she saw the Fifth Brother behind them as she grabbed both of her lightsabers from her hips and ignited them and evaded the Inquisitor's strike as the lift began to slowly go back downas Kanan jumped up onto the ledge above, while Ahsoka and Sabine both used the Force to jump behind the Inquisitor as Sabine grabbed her electrostaff from her back and extended it again as Ahsoka clashed one of her lightsabers with the Inquisitor's as Kanan climbed up the ledge with his lightsaber ignited as the Inquisitor activated his lightsaber's spinning feature, causing it to spin rapidly as he turned towards Kanan for a second before turning back to Ahsoka and Sabine as the Eighth Brother flew towards them from below with their lightsaber, which Kanan saw and went to clash his saber with the Inquisitor's, only for the Eighth Brother to kick him in the back, but Kanan turned around and clashed his lightsaber with the Inquisitor's as Sabine went to help her master battle the Eighth Brother.
The Seventh Sister twirled her lightsaber around as Satele clashed her saber with the Seventh Sister's a few times before the Miralan Inquisitor activated her lightsaber's spinning feature for a second, which Satele evaded.
"That's it, young one. Use your anger, use your pain, let it fill you, fuel you," Maul encouraged the Mandalorian as she locked her saber's blade with the Inquisitor's, causing the Inquisitor to step backwards before she felt her throat being crushed by the use of the Force and saw Maul Force choking her before he used the Force to lift her up from the ground.
"No! No!" The Seventh Sister pleaded in fear as her lightsaber deactivated itself.
"Strike her down!" Maul ordered the Mandalorian, "You want to end this? Finish her!"
Satele wanted to strike the Miralan down but was hesitant as it was not the Jedi way and not honorable in the Mandalorian code of honor, "I can't!" She said as she deactivated her lightsaber, causing the Seventh Sister to smirk, only for Maul to grab his lightsaber and reignited it before using the Force to throw it at the, killing her on contact as she screamed to her death. Satele widened her eyes in shock and horror as she saw the dead body of the Seventh Sister fell on her knees, dropping her lightsaber to the floor before she fell on her side on the floor as well.
"The next time you hesitate like that, it may cost you your life, your honor, or the lives of your sister and friends," Maul told her after panting as he stood next to her, when they suddenly heard Kanan grunt in the distance as well as lightsabers clashing together along with an electrostaff as Maul picked his lightsaber back up, "We must hurry. I fear your sister and our companions are in danger." Both Maul and Satele then rushed up the stairs.
Kanan and Ahsoka clashed their sabers with the Inquisitors' with Sabine doing the same with her electrostaff as they battled the Inquisitors from below the top of the stairs where Satele and Maul were as the Mandalorian and Zabrak looked up at the sky and saw multiple bright colored lights.
"What is it?" Satele asked Maul.
"Nothing," he answered, "We must not delay. I will handle this. You take the holocron. Place it in the obelisk, activate the temple, gain the knowledge you seek."
"I'll meet you at the top," she told him after staring at the lightsaber and electrostaff duel below them, but deep down she had a feeling that Maul was gonna betray them, but didn't want to lose his trust yet and went to the top of the temple as Maul ignited his lightsaber and jumped down below as he began to clash his saber with the Inquisitors' as both Kanan and Sabine backed away as Maul continued to clash his saber with the Inquisitors', fueling his anger through the dark side as he did so. Kanan, Sabine and Ahsoka then rushed towards the Inquisitors as Ahsoka slashed one of her lightsabers against the Firth Brother's lightsaber hilt, causing it to short circuit as he dropped it as it was now useless before Maul slashed his lightsaber against him, causing the Fifth Brother to scream before falling dead on his back. Seconds after this happened, Kanan slashed his saber against the last living Inquisitor, causing it to slowly malfunction as it sparked with electricity and looked at Kanan, Sabine, Ahsoka and Maul as the four of them went into battle stances before he began to retreat as he was outnumbered and used his lightsaber as a propeller again to fly away, only for it to split apart, causing him to scream as he fell to his death below.
"Where's Satele?" Kanan asked Maul as he turned around to face Maul after the Zabrak turned to face the wall of the pyramid.
"You mean, my apprentice?" Maul said, correcting the Jedi Knight, revealing that Satele, Sabine and Kanan were right about Maul using Satele before Maul quickly slashed his saber against Kanan's eyes, blinding the Jedi Knight.
"Kanan!" Ahsoka and Sabine both called out to the Jedi Knight, who fell to the floor, groaning in pain as he placed his hand over his eyes, and as Maul went to strike the blind Jedi Knight down Ahsoka locked her sabers with Maul's lightsaber, while Sabine backed away towards the stairs with worry and fear on her face.
"My apprentice is activating the temple, or more precisely, this battle station, which I shall use to exact my revenge on all my enemies!" Maul announced as he backed away from Ahsoka as the sabers exited from a saberlock.
"Sabine, go warn your sister about the temple and that it's actually a superweapon," Ahsoka told Sabine as she turned to her.
"Will do," Sabine said as she collapsed her electrostaff and placed it back on her back as she ran up the stairs to warn her twin sister.
Satele soon reached the top of the temple saw that the floor was colored red and saw a black colored monument that looked similar to the one she took the holocron from in the center of the floor as it hovered above the floor and knew that it was the temple's obelisk as she took the holocron out before levitating it with the Force as she used it to hover the holocron into the obelisk as the holocron opened up as an electrical field surrounded the obelisk from the holocron.
"Who comes forth?" A feminine voice called the Presence suddenly asked from the Sith holocron.
"Satele, uh, Satele Wren," Satele answered, "I was told this holocron was the key to knowledge."
"Indeed, Satele Wren," the Presence confirmed, "And do you know what knowledge is?"
"Tell me!" Satele said with curiosity.
"Knowledge is power," the Presence stated before the holocron produced an energy field into the sky as well as the ground of the planet's surface when Sabine suddenly approached her.
"Satele, the temple's a superweapon," Sabine told her.
On the ground below the obelisk, Ahsoka looked up and saw the energy field flowing into the sky after clashing her lightsabers with Maul's saber before he did the same with his saber before he went to clash them with Ahsoka's lightsabers again.
"The power will be mine! Satele will be mine, and there is nothing you can do to stop me," Maul declared before clashing his saber against both of Ahsoka's sabers. As this was happening, Kanan was searching around the floor for his lightsaber and picked it up before his hands stumbled upon a temple guard mask of a fallen Jedi temple guard that was on one of the petrified remains around them and picked it up.
Ahsoka clashed her sabers with Maul's as she twirled around with agility before locking one of her sabers with his before leaping onto the stairs behind her with the Force.
"Running away again, Lady Tano?" Maul mocked the Togruta.
"If you want to finish our fight, you'll have to deal with him first," Ahsoka stated as she stood up before Maul turned around and saw Kanan wearing the temple guard mask that he found on one of the petrified remains.
"Go get the girls!" Kanan told her with his voice muffled through the mask before she nodded as she left to get the Mandalorian twins.
"I will make this quick," Maul told the blind Jedi Knight as Kanan ignited his lightsaber.
"You had your chance," Kanan stated as he held his lightsaber in a reverse grip. Kanan listened to the background to determine where the Zabrak was going to strike before clashing his lightsaber with Maul's as they went into a saberlock before gripping his saber behind after their sabers left a saberlock before locking his saber's blade with Maul's again and then did the same from the front before grabbing Maul's wrist and pushed off the temple, screaming with one of the petrified remains falling with him as he landed on the ground below. Kanan deactivated his lightsaber, sighing as he bent down before grabbing his comlink as Chopper suddenly grunted through it, "Chopper! Am I glad to hear you. We need a pick up." Chopper then grunted a response, "A TIE fighter? Are you sure?"
"I have been waiting," the Presence told Satele.
"Don't listen to it, Sis," Sabine pleaded with her sister, "Whatever it wants can't be good."
"I know, Sabine," Satele muttered to her twin before turning back to the holocron, wondering what the holocron was doing to the area around them, "What's happening?"
"The power to destroy life is at your command," the Presence explained.
"Yep, definitely not good," Sabine muttered to herself.
"What? No! No, no! That's not what I wanted!" Satele protested as what the Presence said was way beyond unhonorable in the Mandalorian code of honor and was pure evil.
"I don't want that either," Sabine said, agreeing with her sister.
"Then perhaps the other who approaches will claim it instead," the Presence suggested.
"What other?" Satele asked herself, "Maul?"
"I don't think so, Sis," Sabine answered as the two Mandalorians left the obelisk and saw Vader's TIE Advanced descending downwards with Vader standing on top of his starfighter with his crimson red lightsaber ignited as he breathed coarsely with his mechanical breathing before jumping off of his starfighter towards both Mandalorians as Satele grabbed her lightsaber from her armor's belt and ignited it as Sabine grabbed her electrostaff from her back and extended it.
"Which one of you unlocked the secret of the temple?" Vader asked the twins as he approached them as they slowly backed away from the Sith Lord.
"We won't tell you," Sabine told him, refusing to answer the Sith Lord's question.
"One of you will answer me and will explain how you accomplished this," Vader told them.
"We won't ever tell you!" Satele said as she clashed her saber with his, locking them together before exiting the saberlock for a brief second before clashing them again and again.
"You both will tell me after I convert you both into Inquisitors and then the power within will soon serve the Emperor," Vader stated.
"No we won't, cause we'd rather die than to join your Empire," Satele told him.
"If you won't join me than you both will die braver than most," Vader told them before clashing his saber against Satele's and within a few seconds of their lightsabers clashing against one another, Vader slashed her lightsaber's hilt open, destroying it on contact, causing Satele to fall to the floor and stared at her destroyed lightsaber in shock and horror.
"You will pay for what you did to her lightsaber, you Shabuir!" Sabine cursed at the Sith Lord in Mando'a as she rushed towards him as she clashed her electrostaff with his lightsaber a few times before his saber's blade cut through the electrostaff, destroying it as it sparked with electricity, causing her to look at it with shock and horror as she fell on the floor near her sister.
"Perhaps I was wrong about you both," Vader said as he approached both Mandalorians and raised his lightsaber as he was about to strike one of them down.
"It wouldn't be the first time," the three of them suddenly heard Ahsoka say before Vader turned to see Ahsoka standing across from them.
"It was foretold that you would be here. Our long-awaited meeting has come at last," Vader told Ahsoka as Satele quickly grabbed her broken lightsaber's Kyber crystal before placing it in one of her armor's bags with her other Kyber crystal.
"I'm glad I gave you something to look forward to," Ahsoka told the Sith Lord.
"We need not be adversaries. The Emperor will show you mercy if you tell me where the remaining Jedi can be found," Vader offered as he deactivated his lightsaber.
"There are no Jedi," Ahsoka snapped at the Sith Lord, "You and your Inquisitors have seen to that."
"Perhaps these Mandalorian children will confess what you will not," Vader stated as he turned to Sabine and Satele.
"I was beginning to believe I knew who you were behind that mask, but it's impossible. My master could never be as vile as you," she told the Sith Lord.
"Anakin Skywalker was weak," Vader told her, "I destroyed him."
"Then I will avenge his death," she hissed after closing her eyes for a second.
"Revenge is not the Jedi way," Vader reminded her.
"I am no Jedi," she hissed again before grabbing her lightsabers from her hips and ignited them as Vader did the same with his own. Ahsoka then ran towards him and swung her lightsabers at Vader's helmet for a second before clashing their sabers together and locked them together before she quickly moved out of his way multiple times with agility before she extended her arms out as she used the Force to push him backwards before she used the Force to leap towards him with her sabers and was about to strike him when their sabers' locked with each other before she landed next to him with their sabers locking yet again before she lept backwards as she clashed her sabers with his as she walked backwards before locking them together yet again before twirling around as she leapt back in front of him again as they began fighting out of the room where the obelisk was.
"We need a lot more training to face off against someone like Vader," Satele muttered to herself as she and Sabine watched the duel between Ahsoka and Vader when they suddenly heard a noise from behind them.
"Sis, the holocron! We need to remove it," Sabine said as they turned around and saw the Sith holocron crackling with electricity.
"I know, Sabine, we can't let him get it," Satele said as she stood up and went to reach for the holocron, only for it to shock her and send her flying backwards.
"It takes a Master and an apprentice!" They suddenly heard Kanan remind Satele as Sabine helped her sister up as Kanan walked towards them with Chopper rolling next to him as he held Chopper's metal right arm to help guid him as the Phantom was parked outside the room with the obelisk as R4-G6 stood next to the shuttle.
"Kanan!" Both Mandalorians said with relief as they ran up to him.
"Wait, what happened, why are you wearing that?" Satele asked their master.
"I'll explain later!" Kanan told Satele, "Chopper, get the Phantom ready with RG."
"Are you okay, Kanan?" Sabine asked Kanan.
"I am, Sabine," Kanan answered before turning to Satele, "Satele, help me to the holocron!"
"Kanan, your eyes…" Satele said as she saw that his eyes were now pale white.
"Let's worry about that later, Satele," Kanan told her as he placed his arm over her shoulder as they slowly walked towards the obelisk, "We've got to get that holocron out of here. Where's Ahsoka?"
"With Vader," Satele answered as she sighed.
Outside the room containing the obelisk, Ahsoka and Vader continued to clash their sabers together before their sabers soon entered a saberlock for a brief second before they clashed them a few more times before locking them together again before they left a saberlock again and clashed them a few more times before they entered another saberlock and exited the saberlock and clashed their sabers again before Vader extended his arm out towards her as he used the Force to push her off the ledge.
"A few more steps," Satele said as she guided her and Sabine's blinded master to the obelisk as they soon stood in front of the obelisk, "Now reach! Higher! She and Kanan began to pull their hands towards the Sith holocron, "We almost have it!" Their hands then grabbed the Sith holocron as energy began pulsating from the obelisk, "Now pull!" They were both then flown backwards, grunting as Sabine ran up to them.
"Guys, get up! The temple's starting to collapse," Sabine told them as she saw the walls in the room were beginning to close.
On the stairs below the room containing the obelisk, Ahsoka regained consciousness as she saw the room containing the obelisk beginning to close above her.
Chopper grunted frustratedly from the Phantom's astromech socket as he waved his metal left arm at Kanan and the twins after he opened the shuttle's rear hatch with R4-G6 entering the Phantom as Satele, Sabine and Kanan slowly walked towards the shuttle.
"We're coming as fast as we can!" Satele told Chopper as she, Sabine and Kanan continued to walk towards the Phantom with Kanan's arm over Satele's shoulder, "Just be ready to go… Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!" She then began to be pulled towards Vader as the Sith Lord extended his arm out towards her as he used the Force to pull her and the Sith holocron that was in her hand towards him as Kanan grabbed her hand, while Sabine grabbed Kanan's hand as well, "No! No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no! Kanan! It's him!"
"I know! Me and Sabine got you!" Kanan reassured her.
"Kanan's right, Sis, we got you!" Sabine said, agreeing with Kanan as they tried pulling her towards the Phantom and away from Vader's grasp.
As this was happening, Ahsoka ran towards Vader, gripping her lightsabers in a reverse grip, Vader sensed this as she yelled, Vader grunted as she slashed off the right of his mask with her sabers, destroying the right side of his mask as Ahsoka fall on her stomach near each other and across from Vader as the Sith Lord fell on his knees.
"Ahsoka! Come on, hurry!" Satele urged the Togruta.
"Ahsoka!" Ahsoka suddenly heard Vader call out to her with the voice of her former master as his armor's voice modulator was damaged before turning his head towards her to show her that he had light skin, brown eyebrows and Sith yellow eyes, revealing to her that he was in fact Anakin Skywalker, "Ahsoka."
"Anakin," Ahsoka muttered as she stood back up as she realized that Maul's vision of her master becoming Sidious' new apprentice before their duel on Mandalore was correct. As this was happening, Satele and Sabine helped Kanan into the Phantom before Satele looked back at Ahsoka and Vader as the Sith Lord stood back onto his feet, while Sabine entered the Phantom with Kanan, "I won't leave you. Not this time."
"Then you will die," Vader declared after a few seconds of breathing heavily before igniting his lightsaber and began to slowly approach her.
"Ahsoka!" Satele cried as she ran from the Phantom to reach the Togruta, only for Ahsoka extended her right arm towards the Mandalorian and used the Force to push her back and on her back as the walls nearly finished closing before reigniting her lightsabers and placed them behind her head and lekkus as she turned around with her back facing Vader and locked them with Vader's as he approached her from behind as Satele extended her arm forward as if to grab Ahsoka as the wall finished closing, "No! No!"
"Satele! Satele, let's go!" Kanan ordered Satele from the Phantom.
"Yeah, Satele, come on!" Sabine said, agreeing with their blinded master before Satele nodded as she entered the Phantom before the shuttle lifted off of the temple's floor as the Phantom's wings unfolded as its rear hatch closed and flew through the whole that Satele created when she touched the ancient Sith writing from one of the towering monoliths after they landed on Malachor with Ahsoka as the Sith temple's superweapon was destroyed as a burst of purple colored energy engulfed the surrounding area as the Phantom began to leave the planet's atmosphere.
Satele took her helmet off as she sat next to Kanan, crying over Ahsoka's sacrifice.
"There's nothing we can do, Satele," Kanan said, trying to comfort her, "It's over. It's over now."
"It's alright, RG," Sabine said, trying to comfort R4-G6 as she had her helmet off as well, "What do you say that we give you Lux in her honor?" R4-G6 then beeped a response, "Then we'll do that for her."
Hera, Zeb, Lux and Rex walked towards a landing bay as the Phantom landed on the landing bay on Atollon and as soon as landed it's wings folded back up as the Mandalorian twins exited the shuttle helping Kanan, who now had a white blindfold over his eyes after removing the temple guard's mask with R4-G6 following them before Hera ran up to them and hugged Kanan as she was heartbroken at what happened to him on Malachor before hugging him, while Rex and Lux looked at Satele and Sabine before closing their eyes with sadness after hearing the report on what happened on Malachor with the twins closing their eyes as well.
Back in the Malachor System, Maul was sitting in an Advanced TIE fighter that he stole as he piloted the Advanced TIE fighter away from Malachor.
Back on the surface of Malachor, Vader was walking away out of the damaged temple with his breathing rasp, while the convor that was always around Ahsoka stood above on the temple before flying away.
Inside the temple, Ahsoka, who had seemingly survived her confrontation with Vader, walked into a dark room.
Meanwhile on the Ghost, Zeb and Hera were standing in the cockpit, trying to deal with Kanan's blindness and Ahsoka's apparent demise, while Chopper stood a few feet away from Kanan, who stood in front of the ladder that leads to the Phantom as Sabine stood in the doorway of her and Satele's room with her newly constructed lightsaber, which was cylinder shaped but was definitely Mandalorian in design, while Satele on the floor of their room, holding the Sith holocron in her hand, levitating it with the Force as her eyes flickered between her natural brown eyes and Sith yellow as the holocron opened up.
