Kai Chisaki gasped as he burst out of the fetid water, looking around the sewer in shock as he felt his body begin to itch. He looked up at the hole that had brought him here, furiously scratching at his arms as he stumbled to a wall, touching it with his hand, activating his quirk. The hole widened as material was brought down to form under his feet, lifting him back up to street level as he looked around for the fleeing Heroes.
He gagged as the horrid smell didn't fade, looking down and realising that his clothes were soaked through, bile rising in his throat. He grabbed the clothes, the cloth and water vanishing for a moment, before the outfit reformed clean and dry against his skin. It barely helped the fact that he had just been lying in human filth a few moments ago.
Fighting back the urge to vomit, he pulled out his cell phone, using Overhaul on it to make it work again, before dialling a number.
"Eri's been taken by some upstart Heroes. Send Muscular and Moonfish to my location," he growled as the line was picked up, "They might as well make themselves useful."
"Okay, they know where we're heading," Izuku said as he stuffed his phone into his pocket, the two teens still running as fast as they could, "We just have to take the long way there to avoid any civilians!"
"How do you know this area so well?" Mirio asked, "I've been patrolling here for months, and I didn't know about that building site!"
"It's technically in a different Hero's patrol area," Izuku hummed, "But I'm a bit of a Hero nut who likes to memorise patrol routes. Getting a general overview of the wider area I'd be working in only took me a couple of hours last night!"
"I'd like to say that's impressive, but you've already dragged us into a big enough mess as it is!" Mirio said back, "Where is Chisaki, anyway? Is he following us?"
"Not currently," Izuku hummed, looking behind them, "He's almost at the edge of my range right now, and he hasn't moved. Probably waiting for back up before he comes for us."
"That's good though, isn't it?" Mirio hummed, "We can slow down a bit."
"Not a good idea, Senpai," Izuku shook his head, "The sooner we get to the building site, the better."
"Wow, you've really thought this out!" the blonde huffed as he readjusted his grip on the small girl in his arms, "It almost feels like I'm the junior here!"
"Just a bit longer, Eri-chan!" Izuku shouted, "Then there will be a lot of Heroes who can help protect you!"
She mumbled something, the two looking at the small girl in Mirio's arms as she started to cry.
"What was that, sweety?" Izuku asked as they slowed slightly, "We didn't hear you."
"N-no," the girl sobbed, "I-if he finds you, y-you'll all die!"
The two teens looked at each other as the girl sobbed louder, burying her face in Mirio's shoulder.
"Don't worry," Mirio said softly as he gave a wide smile, "We won't die that easily! I promise you!"
"Incoming!" Izuku gasped as he shoved Mirio to the side, his sleeve ripping apart as the muscle fibres burst out of his skin.
"What's this?" the tall man shouted, slamming a fist down into the exposed muscle, "You got the same type of quirk as me?"
"Nope!" Echo shouted back, opening his mouth as his teeth suddenly grew, the white blades shooting out of his mouth and piercing through the Villain's knees and shoulders, before he brought a still muscled arm down, snapping them off and retracting what was left, "Ow, ow, ow! That hurts so bad!"
"You little shit!" the muscular man shouted as he tried to step forwards, more muscle fibres emerging from his skin, "You think stabbing me a few times will keep me down?"
"Tha's why I aimed fo' the bonesh," Echo slurred through his now bleeding mouth, his eyes suddenly glowing red, "An' why I haf thish on shtanby!"
The muscle fibres retracted almost instantly, the muscular Villains knees bending awkwardly as they lost their support, causing him to topple over as he cried out in pain.
"Shenpai!" Izuku shouted as he turned to look at the other teen, the blonde easily dodging around the leather clad man's attacks, the white blades passing harmlessly through him as he held Eri out of the way. Izuku leapt into the air as the muscle fibres bulged under his clothes, "Hey, brashe-fashe!"
The punch connected, slamming the Villain into a wall, before he fell unconscious to the ground.
"What, who are they?" Mirio asked as Izuku landed, looking back at the muscular man with glowing red eyes as he tried to get back up, making him cry out in pain again as his quirk failed.
"No idea," Izuku replied, "But we have to keep moving, Chisaki will be here soon!"
"What, but how?" Mirio asked as he felt Eri stiffen in his arms.
"Warp Gate quirk," Izuku flinched as the purplish-black mist appeared, swirling larger and larger as the man stepped out of it, "Seems the Shie Hassaikai really did absorb the League."
"Ah, it's you," Kurogiri hummed as he looked at Izuku, "Small world, it would seem."
"OI!" the muscular man shouted, "Mask guy, use your quirk to fix me up so I can beat this little bastard into a pulp!"
"Hmm?" Chisaki hummed, sighing as he pulled off a glove, tapping the man on the forehead, his head vanishing in a spray of blood, "You've already failed. And I intend to be the one to kill him."
"Shit," Izuku muttered, looking around the alleyway, "Lemillion, get going to the site, I'll try hold them off as long as possible!"
"What? Echo, no!" the blonde shouted as Izuku darted to the side, touching the wall, which quickly reformed to separate them.
"GO!" Izuku shouted as he stood opposite the masked man and mist Villain, spitting out the last of the blood, "I'll make it out of here! I promise!"
"Brave words for a brat," Chisaki hummed, stepping forwards as he wiped his hand on a handkerchief, "Your quirk, what is it?"
"Why don't you guess?" Izuku snarked back, touching the wall again, sending a wave of spikes out just beside the Yakuza, who just barely caught it, causing them to vanish.
"You have a quirk similar to Overhaul?" he hummed, "Interesting."
"Is that the name of your quirk?" Izuku asked, stepping away from the wall and towards the trash cans and dumpsters against the other side of the alley, "It's really cool. You could make a great doctor with it! I bet you could even cure cancer!"
"Cure cancer?" the man hummed, "Trivial. I'm seeking to cure a much bigger disease."
"And that is?" Izuku pushed, as he reached the dumpster, touching it and reforming the metal into a staff.
"I suppose I could tell you," Chisaki sighed, scratching his face slightly, "Quirks. I am going to cure the world of the disease known as quirks!"
"What?" Izuku blinked, "But then why do you…you need the girl for that, don't you? It's something to do with her quirk."
"Yes," Chisaki growled, "Her quirk is incredible! It can rewind biological matter in almost any way! Just a little flesh and blood, some gene therapy, and it can temporarily erase quirks! Only a little more work and I'll have the completed product!"
"Thanks for the confession," Izuku nodded, before pointing at one of the buttons on his jacket, "Miniature camera and microphone. It sends its video to the cloud. Even if you kill me, the Heroes will find it and know what you're planning."
"What?" Chisaki growled, his fingers twitching, "You little bastard. You must think you're so smart. But trust me, I will have Eri back in no time and-."
"Enough talk!" Izuku shouted, making to jab the metal pole he'd made into the Yakuza like a spear, the man not moving as it vanished into a dark portal, appearing in the air above him, "Thanks, Kurogiri!"
"Pardon?" the mist Villain asked, blinking as the end of the rod vanished, before reforming into a thin spike that stabbed straight through Chisaki's shoulder, before vanishing again, a number of thin needles bursting out of the man's coat as he screamed in pain.
"Best get your new boss back home!" Izuku shouted as he disintegrated the wall behind him, running away, "He'll need to operate on himself to get all that ou-!"
The shout was cut off as the wall burst towards him, the numerous spikes piercing through his body and pinning him to the opposite wall, his corpse falling limp a moment later.
"Should I che-," Kurogiri started.
"Get me out of here," Chisaki hissed, dropping his hand from the wall, "Back to base, now! I need to get this all out of me!"
Kurogiri just nodded as the portal sucked them both in, closing a moment later.
Izuku's body hung for a moment, his eye twitching to the side after a moment, making sure they were gone, before he phased through the spikes, looking down at the numerous holes in his costume. One was dangerously close to his privates, it feeling like they may slip out at any moment.
"Huh," he muttered, "I wonder how Mirio-senpai's costume can work with his quirk. Maybe I should get something similar."
"ARE YOU INSANE?!" the shout rocked the room as Sir Nighteye glared at Izuku.
"Maybe?" the teen squeaked.
"This is not the time for humour, Midoriya!" the man continued, "You engaged a known dangerous target even when specifically told not to! You were too hasty and almost got yourself and Mirio killed!"
"I won't deny that," the teen nodded, "I can only apologise for that, but I couldn't leave that girl in Chisaki's clutches. He was experimenting on her and her quirk!"
"You…" Nighteye growled, before turning away and straightening his glasses, "Again, you were too hasty. But your haste did get us more than enough evidence to be able to get a warrant for Chisaki and the Shie Hassaikkai's arrest."
"Good," Izuku sighed, "I suppose I should go collect my things."
"Why?" Nighteye asked, looking down at him.
"I disobeyed a direct order, put myself, another Hero, and who knows how many civilians at risk with my actions," Izuku replied flatly, "I'd be lucky if all I got was fired, if not blacklisted from most other Hero Agencies."
"And why would I do that?" Nighteye hummed, making Izuku look up at him in shock.
"But I…by all rights, you should…what?" the teen spluttered.
"At the end of the day, you successfully rescued someone, got us more than enough evidence to proceed with our investigation, and even managed to fully identify Chisaki's quirk," Nighteye replied, "And as much as it pains me to say. He believes you dead. You will be our trump card in the upcoming operation."
"Upcoming operation?" Izuku blinked.
"Yes," Nighteye continued, "Your quirk will be instrumental in it. However, until then, you must remain out of the view of the public at all costs. We cannot risk Chisaki learning of your survival."
"Of course, Sir," Izuku nodded, still stunned by the news, before he jerked, looking back up at the man, "And Eri? What's going to happen to her?"
"As such, I've been assigned as her caretaker," Aizawa said tiredly as he stood in the common room, the small girl hiding behind him staring at the gathered students, "This means that I won't be able to make all my lessons every day. We've already organised substitutes for if that happens."
"However, to make sure that she's properly cared for, Aizawa-san has also asked that I be available to help," Inko hummed, "So, he shall be moving into the Dorms along with Eri-chan."
"She's so cute!" the girls gasped as the boys all looked at each other, Izuku smiling as he walked forwards.
"Hey Eri, remember me?" he asked, the child staring at him in fear.
"You…you have the same quirk as him," the small girl whimpered, hiding further behind Aizawa's legs, "You're not going to hurt me too, are you?"
