Naruto pouted. "You are my dad. You are just refusing to say because you are embarrassed that mom left you or something..."
Passing the giant demon, who was his father, he adjusted his little sack over his shoulder, grinning as he viewed the surrounding trees.
Pointing and blabbering about anything that catches his eye.
"Look at the birds in the sky."
"Hey, dad. Look at the little ants carrying that big leaf. Amazing!"
"Hey, dad. Look at tha-"
Darkblood looked oddly at the boy, silently following along.
If people were to see the scene of a demon and a human child walking side by side together on an open path of the forest, they would immediately scream in shock.
Most likely screaming at the appearance of the demon, and for worrying about the child that walked next to him.
"Hey. Look at that bug!" Naruto ran as fast as his little legs can travel before arriving at a big oak tree.
He bent down.
Now at eye-level with a bug that was moving upwards on the bark.
it was a strange bug that has a slight curve on its body with a large, hm, nose?
"This," Naruto tilted his head, "A roach?"
"A Rhinoceros Beetle." Darkblood passed the squatting kid without giving a single glance.
"H-Hey." Naruto hopped back over to his side. "That was actually my second guess. Yeah, yeah. I was definitely going to say the Ricorous Beetle!"
"Rhinoceros Beetle."
In the corner of his eyes, Darkblood can see the boy waving his fists in a threatening way while also sticking his tongue out at him.
The demon's lips curved up. How amusing. He thought that after bringing his report and the baby back to the Global Defense Agency all those years ago then that would be the last time he would see the kid.
Fate had other plans for him.
Even under the eyes of so many people, under the radar scan of the most advanced sonars, and even stuck in the tightest and most secured of facilities, the baby would somehow always end up by his side.
Darkblood didn't even know if it was magic or some kind of spell, because he knew that just about anything could become a possibility.
Oddly enough, this possibility ended up being one of his few likes in this world.
Seeing the demon being silent, the hyper Naruto calmed down and pulled onto his sleeve. "Hey."
Darkblood looked down, a shadow gently casted over his eyes due to his fedora blocking the sun. "Hm."
Naruto shrugged awkwardly. "It's okay if mom isn't here. You got me. And don't worry, I'm sure mom will come back. She has to because moms are supposed to care for their children, or that is what I read so far."
The lip that was curved up fell into a straight line. "I'm not your dad." he pulled his arm away from the kid's grasp.
Naruto's eye twitched. "This is why mom left!"
A mere grunt, that was his reply.
The boy huffed before taking out a scroll from his bag, opening it, he viewed his name that was written on the top. "She has to. I mean, why did she leave this scroll behind if she didn't?"
This scroll, dad and the old guy said that this scroll appeared on his birthday, right next to him when he was a baby.
Naruto was sure that this was from his mom.
He was so sure of it!
And when she comes back, he will brag into his dad's wrinkled up face that he was right!
Soon, the bored Naruto put away the scroll before chirping away at the annoyed giant next to him.
And soon, it was nightfall.
Naruto, who wore his pajamas that was given to him by Mr. Donald, yawned as he sat down in front of the campfire.
A faint smile appeared while his hands came up to relish in the warmth of the flames.
"We got a lot to do tomorrow, dad, we have so much to do. So make sure you get lots of rest!"
Darkblood, still in his signature detective clothing, sat down next to him. "I don't sleep."
Naruto clumsily grabbed his dad's tail and wrapped it around his figure.
No movement from Darkblood showed that he was against it.
"I was thinking of concentrating on my powers while we are up here, ya know, since nobody is around. Look, my demon eyes just grew another circle, for some reason!" turning, a strange shift occurred.
His natural blue eyes pulsed and transitioned to a sort of darker shade of purple. His normally large pupils dilated as three circles phased into existence and surrounded it.
Darkblood kept quiet as the child stretched out his arm to the side.
"Hnn." Naruto concentrated.
On the side, a large rock that was embedded into the ground started to shake.
His arm trembled a bit before his eyes grew wide in a fraction of a second.
The large rock started shaking intensely before bursting out of the ground.
Naruto raised his arm higher with the rock following his movement.
Serving his arm to the side in a quick fashion, the rock was sent flying away.
The sound of the impact scared nearby animals suddenly.
"Yes!" he pumped his right fist into the air. "Go demon powers!"
Looking at the boy's eyes, Darkblood frowned.
To him, even those eyes were a mystery to all.
When he first saw those eyes, a faint shiver crawled up in his body, it was quite shocking to him since it had been forever since he had such a feeling.
It was like... Those eyes... Could pierce and see through his soul.
Palming Naruto's annoying grinning face, the demon just nodded.
A sparkle soon caught both their attention.
"Wow!"
Up in the night sky, a flash of white dashed.
"A shooting star!" Naruto began shoving the demon with a serious look. "Make a wish!"
"That is a childish thing to do."
Naruto huffed before clasping his hands together in prayer, "Please bring back mom to beat up dad!"
"..." Darkblood turned away from the kid before staring at the shooting star that was streaming across the darkness.
Glancing at Naruto, who was seriously chanting for a woman to appear to beat him, he tipped his fedora.
A happy hum then escaped. 'I wish... That these fun moments never end... I guess.'
[Years Later: New York City]
Through the smoke from a burning building, a large winged beast soared into the air with a screech as a cloud of venom was spewed from its mouth.
This event was also being captured and streamed by the news from the area.
From afar, the Global Defense Agents were busy evacuating the city, saving the injured while also trying to push the beast back.
"A giant Wyvern? You got to be shitting me. I want everyone to double the speed! Move it! Move it! And Donald, where's the backup!" Cecil Stedman cursed.
Donald Ferguson approached his boss as he looked down at the informational transmitting gear, "Sir, Omni-man along with the Guardians of the Globe are handling their own fights elsewhere, but don't worry, I called in other help."
Cecil raised an eyebrow while cursing a bit more inside.
This job alone could not normally be done with just anyone.
"Well, who the hell did you call?"
Donald gave a smile, tilting his glasses up. "Already here, sir."
"Hm." Cecil turned his gaze upwards, his eyes narrowing.
As the giant reptilian beast rampaged, a figure descended from the heavens, falling freely from the clouds.
"Hey, you stupid lizard!"
The beast didn't hear anything except wanting to cause even more chaos.
"That's enough of you... Universal Pull!"
From the eyes of a dozen people, both in person and online, the beast was suddenly pulled into the sky by some kind of invisible force.
There was also a small dot heading towards the beast, intending to meet it in the middle of the vast sky.
The most highly advanced cameras zoomed into the picture to get a close glimpse.
The dot turned out to be a blonde male figure who was wearing a dark cloak that wildly whipped in the air due to the speed of his fall.
Strange but mesmerizing eyes with concentric circles entered the lens view.
Not even bothered by the speed at which he was falling, the stranger grinned, quickly brought out his right arm, and opened his palm.
"Well. If it isn't our local wild card." Cecil watched as a blue ball, made out of energy, condensed then grew rapidly in rates until it was as big, but slightly smaller, than the Wyvern.
"Yup." Donald watched as the so-called 'Demon's Kid' that everyone muttered about in the past, was heading towards the beast.
Naruto shouted, bringing his arm back.
"Get saged..." the wild Wyvern, that was struggling, had no chance to run, and could only watch as the mysterious figure finally met it.
The large energy ball slammed into the torso of the screeching beast.
"GIANT RASENGAN!"
By witness, in the eyes of a million observers, the clouds in the sky separated from the backlash of the attack.
The shockwave traveled through the sky and the earth.
