AN: I. Am so very sorry. That's really all I can say. Well, besides saying I ended up going to a 13 month trade college since I last updated this story, and did many more things. I apologize though, and will be continuing the story more often from here on out.

XXX - Chapter 3 - Scrolls Test

Sasuke browsed through the scrolls in the library, fully in the open, but with a disguise. Rather than use Henge, which could easily be seen through by a high Chuunin or any Jounin, he decided to put on a disguise. Using slight of hand, he grabs scrolls that are related to gardening, but also scrolls on other Jutsu. He grabbed the Katon: Ryūka no Jutsu(Fire Release: Dragon Fire Technique), Katon: Bakufū Ranbu(Fire Release: Blast Wave Wild Dance), and Katon: Hōsenka no Jutsu(Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique), all three of which being Fire Releases used mostly by Uchiha, but are public to all. He glanced over them, while sitting in the darkness, unaware that he chose a spot to hide with a specific cat-masked Anbu, who was just reading the scrolls over Sasuke's shoulder curiously.

Sakura attempted to sneak through, snatching the Shunshin no Jutsu(Body Flicker Technique) before quietly sneaking away. She memorized it quickly, and put it back, before making the mistake of also attempting the Shunshin to sneak out faster, clipping her shoulder on the doorframe, causing one Anbu nearby to audibly snicker, causing her to sink her head into her shoulders as she snuck back to the classroom.

Kiba, being his usual slightly lazy self, grabbed a Jutsu using Akamaru and left immediately, reading the hand signs and basics while heading back, having just grabbed the Shunshin(Body Flicker) after Sakura returned it. Shino had tried to use his bugs to bring a scroll to him, but he accidently wasn't specific enough, so his kikachu got caught bringing him the scroll, so he never even got it, earning him no points, not that he needed them.

Ino had taken a page out of Sakura's book also, but still made it her own, and researched the Kanashibari no Jutsu(Temporary Paralysis Technique) to help out with her family jutsu, to make it easier to hit her intended target when using it. She got out quite quickly, and didn't make the mistake of trying to use the technique. When she got back to the classroom, she realized that Choji never left the classroom, and just sat eating chips. When she asked why, he told her that he already passed due to having 31 total points, and he was hungry. Shika was also already back, having only grabbed a random scroll he isn't gonna bother to actually learn to do the hand signs, getting 5 points, putting him at 30 points exactly.

Lastly, Hinata never entered the library. Instead, she read the same scrolls, the Shunshin(Body Flicker) and Kanashibari no Jutsu(Temporary Paralysis Technique) Sakura and Ino did, using her Byakugan, before returning long before anyone else beside Shika and Choji, especially seeing as how Choji never left.

XXX - Hokage Tower

Naruto peeked in slow, having snuck past the few stray chuunin shinobi who happened to be in the tower, happy to see the lights of the office fully off, before darting in, swapping the Scroll of Sealing with a large rolled up canvas, before sneaking out and down to the training ground forests off to the side of the village.

XXX - Random Forest Location

He opened the Scroll of Sealing, immediately spotting the Kage Bunshin no Jutsu(Shadow Clone Technique), and groaning. "Bunshin?! The one thing I can't do?! Wait... What is that... Its a good technique for those who fail to use Bunshin?... And its a solid Bunshin?! Well, I might like this then!" Naruto read off, before reading the warnings, and spotting that it used a LOT of chakra, as it split the user's chakra, and would also return the unused chakra along with memories to the user after the bunshin busted. He quickly got to learning the technique, but after being unable to learn it for 15 minutes, he went on to memorize 2 more Jutsu.

After spotting Edo Tensei(Impure World Resurrection), he researched it, and even the jutsu-seeking Naruto didn't like the nasty Jutsu, so he kept looking, and saw the hand signs to stop Edo Tensei. Seeing the Snake - Ram - Boar - Dog - Tiger combo, he immediately tried to memorize them succeeding after about 25 minutes of concentrated on it. He then saw something related to his name - Uzumaki. "Kongō Fūsa(Adamantine Sealing Chains)...? Its... An Uzumaki technique? I... I have a Hiden?!" He spent half an hour on it, before realizing he could use the Kage Bunshin to speed it up, so he spent 40 minutes figuring Kage Bunshin out, before suddenly Iruka landed next to him, right after he succeeded.

"NARUTO, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING?!" Iruka demanded, steam coming out of his ears as he landed, using his imposing demeanor as his teacher to scold him. "Hand me the scroll, NOW Naruto." Iruka growled out, annoyed by the fact that he and every chuunin and Jounin in Konoha have been searching for him and the scroll for an hour now.

"I was just learning these special Jutsu Iruka! I want to be Hokage, so any Jutsu worthy of Oji-san is worthy of me!" Naruto replied excitedly, somehow completely jumping over the obvious anger from Iruka, before he handed over the scroll willingly, or at least was going too, if a shuriken suddenly didn't almost strike his throat, and a kunai his heart.

Iruka jumped forwards, blocking both missiles with his own kunai in his hands, before looking where they came from. "Mizuki! What are you doing?! I have Naruto, and am getting the scroll from him!" Iruka spotted Mizuki, seeing as he dropped down, landing on the ground at the base of the tree he shot the projectiles from, before suddenly, Mizuki lit ablaze, screaming out in pain as the weasel Anbu Itachi Uchiha Shunshined next to him and blew a Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu(Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique) where he was standing, instantly burning Mizuki alive.

"Hostile target neutralized. Iruka, I trust it you have Naruto safe, along with the scroll?" Itachi said, addressing the scared academy student who was on his butt and his teacher, receiving a nod from Iruka, who then also grabbed the Scroll of Sealing from Naruto, before Itachi picked Naruto up. "I will escort him back if you wish, Iruka, as the Hokage asked all Anbu to bring him to his office once found. Bring the scroll with you, my Anbu team will follow close behind to make sure nothing else happens" Itachi orders, before vanishing in a Shunshin, reappearing in the trees halfway to the Hokage office.

"Itachi-nii?" Naruto asks Itachi, seeing as how he and Sasuke are some of his only friends, besides his acquaintance in Kiba, Shika, and Chui. "Is that you?"

Itachi gives a quick single nod, before looking at Naruto, and giving an eye smile under his mask. "Naruto, the Hokage told me to tell you, depending on how what techniques you learned, you may have to be trained by me and only me. What did you learn?" Itachi asked pleasantly, clearly hoping to get the privilege of training the Jinchuuriki that he has done everything he could to look after without pissing off the council.

"Well, I learned the Kage Bunshin no Jutsu(Shadow Clone Technique), the Kuchiyose: Edo Tensei Release(Impure World Reincarnation End), and I found out I have my own Hiden, the Kongō Fūsa(Adamantine Sealing Chains)! I can't wait to master them all!" Naruto smiled, as he told about his special techniques he learned, hearing Itachi sigh lightly but look pleased. "What is is wrong Itachi-nii?"

"Well, nothing is wrong Naruto. Its just that you learned the only techniques in there that won't require me teach you. But, I am glad your pure hearted enough to rather release the Edo Tensei(Impure World Resurrection) rather than learn it." Itachi said, looking at Naruto with amusement, before using Shunshin(Body Flicker) to fully return to the Hokage Tower.

XXX - Hokage's Office

Hiruzen looked at Naruto with obvious amusement on his face, as Naruto gushed over the Jutsu he learned, seeing as how he learned Kage Bunshin no Jutsu(Shadow Clone Technique), and showed proficiency in it, alongside being proud of Naruto for learning how to release Edo Tensei(Impure World Resurrection) rather than learn Edo Tensei. Lastly though, he was surprised that Naruto decided to try and learn the Kongō Fūsa(Adamantine Sealing Chains), and already managed to start the base of it, creating a wisp of a tendril, the color of which was blue with a red streak in the center. "Naruto, calm down now, alright? You and I have... Much to discuss. First, I am proud to announce to you that you passed the Academy exams, and have earned your headband" Hiruzen said, smiling as he placed Naruto's headband on the desk.

Naruto immediately snatched up the headband, and then detached the forehead protector, before attaching it to the top of his cloak, allowing him to wear it on the hood of the cloak, while handing the band back to the Hokage. "I am gonna be the Hokage, so I have to be unique with my forehead protector!" Naruto declared to the shocked Sandaime, before hearing a soft chuckle and seeing a large smile on the Sarutobi's face.

"Well, I am glad your choosing your own style there Naruto, and while I am disappointed you could not give up orange completely, I can see that you can completely hide the orange when necessary. Would you like a Shinobi Guarder for your chakra-plastic mask?" Hiruzen smiled, as he appreciated Naruto's genuine dedication to being a shinobi.

"Yes, thank you Oji-san!" Naruto exclaimed, as he handed over the mask that was added to his outfit the previous day, which was gift he got from Itachi, before the Hokage attached a metal plate like the forehead protectors to the front, which also had the leaf symbol on it, but instead of the regular center it had the full Uzumaki Spiral. "What is that, Oji-san?"

"Its the next thing we must discuss. You see, Naruto, your half Uzumaki, and while I can't tell you who your dad is yet, I will tell you about your mom's side of the family. And before you complain, if I told you about your dad, you would brag about him, regardless of who he is or was, wouldn't you?" Hiruzen told him, and asked, raising an eyebrow as he asked the question, before smiling when Naruto sighed and nodded. "Exactly. I can't tell you about him yet, but he was a powerful shinobi, and made many enemies. If any of them knew of you, I wouldn't be able to guarantee your safety, Naruto. Now, about the Uzumaki... Where do you think I should start? Your mom, your family, or their full legacy?"

"Definitely the legacy, Jiji!" Naruto exclaimed happily, giddily jumping in his seat some, before calming down and breathing when he got a look of 'are you kidding me' from old Saru, before he smiled and waited silently.

"So, the Uzumaki were a strong clan, who could regenerate injuries faster than anyone else. They also were amazing seal masters, who could just stare at a seal and see its functions, even if they didn't know a thing about sealing. Now, they couldn't tell you its functions, they could just SEE them. Interpreting took practice too, but not near as much as a regular seal user. Now, they also owned there own village, Naruto. It was called Uzushiogakure, and was the only shinobi village that could have rivalled Konoha if it so chose to. But, they instead were peace lovers, although would be vicious if anyone threatened them or their friends. There were Konoha's permanent ally."

Hiruzen went on to explain about the greatness of the Uzumaki, before finally stopping. He sighed loudly when he did, too. "Unfortunately, Naruto, they are almost all gone, and the village was destroyed. Iwa, Kumo, Kiri, and some of the smaller hidden villages had feared the Uzumaki, and they feared their peacekeeping ways, and destroyed them. As far as I know, you are the last one left. There are most likely more scattered around the elemental nations though." Hiruzen finished off his story of the Uzumaki, trying to end it on a slightly higher note than what he had to just tell.

"I... I can't believe my whole clan was destroyed... Just for being nice..." Naruto said sadly, tears coming to his eyes, before he was suddenly embraced by Saru-no, his Jiji-san, his gramps.

"I have one more thing to tell you Naruto." Hiruzen said while embracing the fresh shinobi, knowing that it will hurt him to tell him this but that its the only way to make sure he stays safe and careful. "Have you heard of Jinchuuriki?"

AN: FEW... That was a beast to write. And the whole part about them being destroyed kinda hurt. But once again, to be on topic, apologies for taking so long! Hopefully, the ones who are following this story like where its going. Oh, and I went back and re-did chapters 1 and 2, quite a few times, to fix plot holes I never noticed before, and to make it fit better.
