Disclaimers: This is a crossover between Sailor Moon and Digimon. I do not own these two shows. Sailor Moon is written by Naoko Takeuchi in manga form and aired as a series by Toei Animation and TV Asahi in Japan and by Kodansha Comics in North America. Digimon is produced by Toei Animation and Bandai of Japan that began in 1999.
'So, a new adventure,' thought a thirteen-year-old Usagi.
As Usagi thought about this new adventure, she never realized that eight years ago, her Motoki-nī, Hotaru, and Naru were having the exact new adventure into a new world like Usagi was having now. All she could also think about was when her thirteen-year-old Yamato-nī came with a weird-looking creature and some new friends…
- 8 Years Ago: Hotaru –
"Onīchan (Older brothers)," said Hotaru with a pondering look, "I have TWO onīchan now?"
Hotaru looked between her Kōji-nī and his twin. If she was told that she would have an adventure into a digital world where Digimon roamed free while also saving it from evil with four others and her Kōji-nī, Hotaru would have face-palmed at that notion. She just knew that she was going to be a protector once more, but with a different set of powers than her Saturnian ones. She looked back at the adventures she had with her Kōji-nī, an older Kanbara Takuya, a blonde-haired, green eyed Orimoto Izumi, a spiky brown-haired, brown eyed Shibayama Junpei, and a short brown-haired, green eyed, same age as her Himi Tomoki. It was quite fun, especially beating her human spirit for Steel until they lost her Kōji-nī after beating her beast spirit for Steel. Now, after finding her Kōji-nī, she finds out that she has another one. "It looks like it, Hotaru," said Takuya.
"Isn't this exciting," questioned Izumi.
"Speak for yourself," said Hotaru, "If Kōichi-nī is like Kōji-nī, then I have TWO overprotective older brothers."
"She… took me well," said a short black haired, dark blue eyed Kimura Kōichi.
"That's 'Taru-imōto for you," said Kōji, "A little girl going with the flow."
"So, she should have had inherited water," questioned Junpei, "I mean, she's going with the flow instead of questioning it a bit more."
Hotaru pouted at Kōji as she thought to what her hime and the others would think about this new development. She hadn't even begun to find her hime in this third life and really wanted to check up on her. However, she was stuck in this Digital World while becoming the new Warrior Spirit of Steel. She would have thought she would have gotten the spirit for Darkness, but since Kōji and Kōichi were twins, it was understandable that she would inherit a different one. It was a good thing that her Saturnian powers weren't detected in this new development. "Anyways," said Tomoki, "Shouldn't we be focused on defeating Cherubimon?"
"Right," said Takuya, "Let's get to saving the Digital World."
'I bet the others aren't even in this kind of predicament like me,' thought Hotaru with a pout.
Though, unknown to her thoughts, Naru and Motoki were having similar adventures…
- 8 Years Ago: Naru –
"You could have told us that your imōto also had a Digimon partner," grumbled a light blonde-haired, light blue eyed Thomas H. Norstein.
"Sō, sō (Yeah, yeah)," complained a short dark magenta haired, dark pink eyed Fujieda Yoshino.
It was after Masaru, Yoshino, and Thomas woke up from their coma to battle the evil Digimon called Argomon. Seeing the shattered GeoGrey Sword and the battered partners of Gaomon and Lalamon, Yoshino and Thomas thought everything was done for. It wasn't until the plants themselves mysteriously came to life and started to wrap Argomon up. The three Digimon Savers looked on before someone shouted from up above was heard. The three looked up to see, in Masaru's horror, a little eight-year-old girl on a flying Digimon… a Unimon. It was there that Masaru shouted Yūka as he recognized the girl on Unimon. With Unimon, the tides were turned until Masaru, with ShineGreymon Burst Mode, defeated Argomon, leading to the now. "I kind of forgot that she had Cutemon with her," said a sheepish Masaru.
"Unimon," said Yoshino.
"Īe," said Masaru, "Cutemon. points to the bunny-like Digimon She has been in the household since Yūka was six. Yet, I didn't know that she could digivolve."
"It's Naru," sighed Naru, "How many times have I told you to call me that?"
"And, of course, I can digivolve," puffed out Cutemon, "Naru and I have been training for a long time together!"
Naru nodded her head while hugging Cutemon close to her chest. She remembered the first time she met Cutemon and how Cutemon was hurt due to being captured. She wasn't going to let these two so-called heroes… these two DATs members… take away her Cutemon. She also had the Digivice to prove that Cutemon belonged to her. Eyeing the two DATs members wearily, Naru tuned into the conversation once more. "How could you forget Cutemon, aniki," questioned Agumon, "Even I remember Cutemon."
"Did you also remember that Yūka was also alive and not in a coma like the rest of the city," questioned Masaru with a twitch in his left eye.
"It's Naru," said Naru once more with a sigh, "Not Yūka."
"Ah, īe," said Agumon with a grimace, "If I did, then I would have taken her to safety before going to find you and the rest with Lalamon and Gaomon."
Masaru nodded his head before turning to Naru. For once, he didn't know what to say to his imōto. He knew that Naru was a very good girl and often listened to their mother. He still didn't know why she insisted to being called Naru, but he decided as an older brother, he could be annoying a bit and call her by her given name… Yūka. Yet, he really wanted to know what was going on with his little sister since she actually WENT to the danger zone. "So, imōto," said Masaru before glaring and raising his voice at the end, "Not that I'm ungrateful for saving my nakama and I, demo just WHY did you decide to go head first into danger?!"
'Oh boy,' thought Naru, 'How to explain this to onīchan without revealing myself as a Senshi? Darn my Senshi instincts to protect!'
- 8 Years Ago: Motoki –
"I am getting too old for this," sighed out Motoki.
It was one adventure after another. When Motoki stopped his otōto that day with Guilmon inside the cardboard box, he was there to help Takato along for his adventure. Motoki, however, believed he should have thought things through when venturing into the Digital World to find Takato's friend, Calumon. Yet, on his part, he wanted to be there to protect his otōto, unlike his times as Furahata Motoki with his imōto, Tsukino Usagi. Motoki was sure that he was repenting on his time as Furahata Motoki with Takato by being along for the ride. For now, Motoki was staying close to Takato and the short blue haired, gray eyed Lee Jianliang, otherwise known as Jenrya, at a Digital library they found. The three, along with Jenrya's Digimon partner, Terriermon, and Motoki's Digimon partner, Solarmon, were separated from the others of their group: the ginger shoulder-length haired, purple eyed Makino Ruki, the spiky light brown haired, dark blue eyed Shiota Hirokazu, the straight green haired, bright green eyed Kitagawa Kenta, the shoulder-length brown haired, brown eyed Katō Juri, and Juri and Ruki's Digimon partners, Leomon and Renamon, respectively. "What was that," asked Jenrya.
"It's nothing," said Motoki, "So, how are we going to find Calumon?"
"Maybe we should ask that guy," questioned Solarmon.
"What guy," asked the other four.
"That one that's sleeping," said Solarmon who gestured with his floating being.
All four pairs of eyes looked at the Solarmon before turning to the place Solarmon was gesturing to. Everyone had their eyes widen once they saw what Solarmon saw. Right at a table, there was a man with long brown hair and a brown beard. The five carefully came closer to the man before realizing that this man was transparent and semi-ghostly. Motoki was wondering if this person was dead and his spirit was just trap in the Digital World until said man yawned before blearily looking them with soft brown eyes. "Who are you," questioned the man.
"We were about to ask YOU that," said Terriermon.
"Me," questioned the man before answering, "Well, my name is Mizuno Gorou, otherwise known as Shibumi."
"Shibumi," questioned Motoki.
"Un," nodded Shibumi, "And you are?"
"Uh," said Jenrya, "My name is Lee Jenrya."
"Oh," asked a semi-surprised Shibumi, "Any relations to Lee Janyū?"
"He's my father," exclaimed Jenrya, "You know him?"
"One of my best friends," proclaimed Shibumi before turning to the others, "And you?"
"Ah," said a flustered Takato, "My name is Matsuda Takato. This is my onīsan…"
"Motoki," said Motoki before Takato could say Madoka.
"Takato," hummed Shibumi, "The creator of Guilmon?"
"You know about that," questioned a bewildered Takato.
- 8 Years Ago: Yamato & Takeru –
"W-We're in Kōtō," exclaimed a surprised short blue haired, black eyed Kido Jō.
"We slept through our stop," exclaimed a spiky brown haired, chocolate brown eyed Kamiya Tai Taichi.
Yamato and Takeru just got through the Digital Gate to the Human World after being transported to the Digital World with five others: Kamiya Tai, Kido Jō, the orange haired, maroon eyed Takenouchi Sora, the long wavy light brown haired, light brown eyed Tachikawa Mimi, and the short, spiky red haired, dark eyed Izumi Izzy Kōshirō. All seven, along with their in-training Digimon, were on their way to Ōdaiba by subway until they fell asleep and missed their stop. Now, however, they were in Kōtō, a 36-minute subway ride, yet the seven HAD to get to Ōdaiba as quickly as they could. Yamato and Takeru looked at each other before taking off in a familiar direction. "O-Oi (H-Hey)," called out Sora, "Where are you two going?"
"Follow us and find out," snarked back Yamato.
"Do you even know where you two are going," questioned a skeptical Izzy.
"Like onīchan said," said Takeru, "Follow us and find out!"
"Taichi," said Koromon, "Are we really going to follow them?"
"It seems so, Koromon," said Tai.
With no idea on how to navigate Kōtō besides following the brothers, all seven were quick to get to a two-story house. The nameplate on the side also says Hinomoto. Jō was quickly to try to stop Yamato and Takeru as the brothers just went through the front gate of said two-story house and up towards the front door. Everyone, besides the brothers, was worried they were trespassing, yet they couldn't see any worry from Yamato and Takeru. Takeru and Yamato smiled at each other in secret before opening the door. However, before they could call out tadaima (I'm back), they heard a familiar female voice exclaim, "What do you mean Taiki-kun is Celestia's fiancé?!"
"Eh," exclaimed everyone who didn't know what was going on.
"Yama-chan," questioned the female adult who noticed the audience, "Take-chan? I thought you two were at summer camp?"
"Ah, Michelle-oba," said Takeru who was nervously holding Tokomon in his arms, "Summer camp was canceled. We all also tried to get back by ourselves after stopping at Hikarigaoka, demo we slept through our stop."
"Uh," said Yamato nervously, "We were wondering if you could drive our friends and us back to Ōdaiba?"
"Hontō ni (Really)," questioned Michelle, "Demo, the summer camp just started today."
As Yamato and Takeru were explaining nervously to the female adult, the Digidestined looked at where Yamato and Takeru were standing to looking at the female adult who has three kids Takeru's age next to her. They inwardly gaped when they heard Yamato and Takeru address the female adult as oba (aunt), indicating that the other kids were Yamato and Takeru's itoko (cousins). They were again shocked when one of the girls ran into Yamato's arms and hugged him tightly before repeated the gesture with Takeru. Yamato didn't even PUSH said female away from his person as he hugged the girl fiercely. "Uh, Yamato," questioned Mimi, "Why aren't you pushing her away like you do with Sora and I?"
"Why would I push away my imōto," questioned Yamato.
"Imōto," exclaimed the other Digidestined.
"Un," said Takeru, "Celestia is our imōto."
"I'm your TWIN, dear Takeru-nī," pouted Usagi, "And remember? It's Usagi."
"Hai, hai," said Takeru with a wave of his hand.
As Usagi pouted more at Takeru, the other Digidestined were learning more about Yamato and Takeru's family. They were surprised to note that Takeru indeed had a twin and wondered if she was the eighth child they were looking for. That idea was shot down when Yamato explained that Usagi lives with Michelle-oba and Akari-itoko since she was born, Takeru and Yamato visiting when they could. However, the five and the Digimon looked at Yamato as he fiercely glared at the male child. "So, you are Taiki, the guy who bumped into imōto," questioned Yamato.
"Uh, h-hai," said Taiki nervously.
"And did I hear correctly that YOU are the so-called fiancé that imōto has to marry due to kāsan," questioned Yamato.
"Fiancé," chorused the Digidestined.
"That's why Celestia was given up, I think," said a pondering and sad Takeru, "Onīchan and Madoka-itoko tried to explain it to me, demo I still don't understand it."
"That's so sad," exclaimed Mimi.
"Anyways," called out Michelle, "If you kids want to get to Ōdaiba soon, get into the van."
"You'll take us," questioned a surprised Izzy.
"I am not letting you kids travel alone again," said Michelle, "You might fall asleep again!"
The Digidestined looked very relieved until Usagi and Akari asked Yamato and Takeru why they had dolls in their hands. Yamato laughed nervously before saying that it was a new toy the seven found at summer camp before it got shut down. Takeru told Akari and Usagi then started to name the dolls: Taichi and Koromon, Sora and Yokomon, Mimi and Tanemon, Izzy and Motimon, Jō and Pukamon, Yamato and Tsunomon, and Tokomon and him. Sadly, Usagi couldn't ask to hold Tsunomon as the seven quickly went into the car and buckled their seatbelts. "Don't worry, imōto," said Yamato, "One day, you'll hold onto Tsunomon and Tokomon. For now, we all have to go to Ōdaiba so our parents won't worry."
"Alright," said Usagi sadly, "Next time, you and Takeru should stay longer so we can hang out too!"
"It's a deal," said Takeru for Yamato.
- Back To The Present: Usagi –
'I think that's what Yamato-nī and Takeru-nī were hiding from me,' thought Usagi with a pout.
It had been a couple of days within the Digital World. Sure, Usagi has an Xros loader, but she let Taiki and his Digimon army, the Xros Hearts, take the lead while her so-called Digimon army, the Purity Chalice, was backup. The others looked at her when she named her Digimon army, but Usagi never explained. How could she? The Purity Chalice was an item from her second life and connected with Taiki's heart name. Usagi just shrugged at them while tending to her own Digimon partner, Lunamon. Even in this life, she couldn't escape the Moon and her cat advisor, Luna. For now, Usagi, Taiki, and the others, including their newest Digimon partners, were at the Lake Zone of the Digital World, Usagi walking around the palace and trying not to think about strangling a certain Digimon… a certain Bastemon. 'Oh, when we get back home, two certain onīchan are going to get it,' thought Usagi.
"Usa-chan," called out Taiki, his main Digimon partner, Shoutmon, following him.
"Taiki-kun," questioned Usagi.
"You just left when there's danger around," said a worried Taiki.
"Don't worry," said Usagi before pointing in the shadows, "I have Bakumon and Dorumon with me."
"Still," said Taiki, "Also, where's Lunamon?"
"She's resting in the Xros loader," said Usagi.
Taiki nodded his head as he looked at Usagi. It seemed that something was going on, but how to ask? He didn't want to anger the one girl he knew since childhood… since knowing that she was the girl he would one day marry. Shoutmon looked between the two and didn't understand what was going on, but he kept silent. He heard from Lunamon that Usagi and Taiki were to be "mates" in Digimon terms when they grow up, but he still didn't understand it. Other than that, Shoutmon could also tell that Usagi was thinking about something. "Ano (Um), Usagi," questioned Shoutmon.
"Hai," questioned Usagi.
"What were you thinking about," questioned Shoutmon, "You looked really deep in thought. I also thought you would strangle Bastemon back there too."
'He said it,' thought shouted Taiki in a panic before listening to Usagi's answer.
"Well, I guess you and Lunamon aren't the first Digimon we have encountered," said Usagi.
"Eh," questioned Taiki, "Hontō (Really)?"
"Un," nodded Usagi, "Remember eight years ago? With onīchan and their friends?"
"Un," nodded Taiki, "What about it?"
"Those stuff toys were really Digimon in disguise," revealed Usagi.
"Nani," exclaimed Taiki and Shoutmon before…
"Why are YOU exclaiming, Shoutmon," questioned Taiki.
"I am just surprised that Digimon was seen in your world," said Shoutmon.
Taiki nodded his head before thinking back to what Usagi said. He didn't really remember much besides Yamato and Takeru threatening him with bodily harm if Usagi was ever emotionally and/or physically hurt by him. He was worried that with their Digital World adventure, Yamato and Takeru were going to find out and hurt him for dragging Usagi into this world. Gulping mentally, Taiki thought back to the little supposed toys within the seven's arms. He could now see that the toys were actually in-training Digimon once he got used to THIS Digital World adventure. "So, Usa-chan," said Taiki, "Do you think there are more of us who are partnered to Digimon?"
"Who knows," said Usagi, "Demo, if it's true, I hope we can all work together one day."
"Same," said Taiki with a smile before exclaiming, "Oh shoot! I was supposed to find you for dinner!"
"Don't you mean we, Taiki," questioned Shoutmon.
"No matter," said Taiki before looking at Usagi, "Well, Usa-chan. Shall we head to dinner?"
"You escorting me, Taiki-kun," questioned Usagi with bemusement in her eyes.
"Of course, my fair lady," humored Taiki.
"My knight in shining armor," said Usagi in a teasing manner.
Both started to laugh as Usagi linked her arm with Taiki. Taiki looked slightly down at Usagi since he was a bit taller than her and smiled inwardly. Even though he didn't know why Usagi wanted to strangle Bastemon, if what Shoutmon said was true, he knew that their friendship will always be there. He will never know if he will actually marry Usagi when they are of age, yet for now, he will protect Usagi as best as he could in the Digital World. 'If I don't,' thought Taiki with an inward sweat-drop, 'Yamato and Takeru will pound me to the ground for getting Usagi hurt.'
