Republic SIS Agent
The Jedi Masters sat in their seats in the Council Chamber discussing the move to Tython and the new discoveries that Master Kota had discovered with him over holo; while the Padawans were all standing behind their respective Masters.
"The Jedi Temple has been fully restored but we are still receiving interference from the Flesh Raiders. They have set us back several months after destroying one of the outer encampments," Master Kota informed them of the current situation with which they were currently dealing.
"It is crucial that we make some sort of deal with these creatures if we are ever going to be able to move the Jedi Order back to Tython," Master Kenobi said.
"Yes but so far Master Kota and I have not been able to find anything from our observations of their camp," Master Mundi informed the Council. Gav looked at the back of his Master's head, wishing that he could be there on Tython to help him.
Then the intercom beeped and Master Windu answered it, "Yes?" he asked.
"The Director of the SIS Agency is here," a voice informed them.
"Very well, we will admit him in a moment," the Jedi Master replied and then the communication was ended.
"I would like to request that our Padawans come to Tython, they could be of immense help and assistance," Master Kota requested causing Gav's face to light up slightly in excitement.
Master Mundi sensed his Padawan's excitement and sent a message of disapproval to his student through their bond which Gav reacted to by losing the smile on his face and calming himself down.
"Absolutely not, we have already discussed this," Master Unduli stated seriously, "Tython is too dangerous at this time for any students to be on the planet surface."
"Talk later about Tython we will. Dismissed you are Master Kota," Master Yoda said. The holo image of Master Kota disappeared as the doors opened to admit the SIS Director and one of his Agents. Raven also entered and stood behind Master Yoda as the Jedi Grandmaster had directed him to do so before the meeting. The Padawan was curious to see and know why the Grandmaster had asked this of him but he knew that right now he needed to be quiet.
"Master Jedi, I have something of grave news to report," the older agent, who the Padawans assumed was the Director of the SIS Agency, spoke first.
"Explain to us what has happened Director," Master Windu requested.
"Senator Mon Mothma's ship was attacked when she came out of Hyperspace above Alderaan earlier today and the boarders took a data chip that holds crucial information about the Republic Senate building structure," Corr explained.
"This isn't the first time this intel has been stolen," Master Skywalker reminded the other Masters.
"The Separatists stole the same intel during the Clone Wars," Master Kenobi said thoughtfully, "What do you propose we do about this?"
"I would like to suggest a reconnaissance mission with a group of Jedi Knights and one of my finest agents," Corr suggested, "Agent Highrock has been tailing this group of Bounty Hunters for months and knows where they are likely to be," he added as the other Agent stepped forward.
"Very well but we currently can't spare any more than one of our Knights with the skills you will need," Master Windu stated simply.
"Knight Starfall," Master Yoda called forward which Serin responded to by stepping forward one step, "Skills to track through the Force he has," he added.
"Padawans Solak and Ardilles," Master Yoda called forward Daly and Jania who also stepped forward, "Skills of stealth they have and the ability to cover everyone's tracks and presence'."
"Padawan Haemin, Vitalis, Dubreas, Zapalo, Samorr and Atari," Master Yoda called the six of them forward, "Proficient duellists they are and have various skills as well as the knowledge that will serve well on this mission." Then all the Padawans took a step back behind their respective Masters.
"Padawan Solak will lead the mission as he has the most insight out of all the Padawans on this Sith Empire," Master Windu revealed.
Ashlyn frowned slightly and glanced over at Daly who avoided her gaze. All the Padawans in the room knew that while Daly had always had the knowledge about his sister, Ashlyn had always been the leader on any missions they were assigned as a group. There was no doubt that the Jedi Council was punishing her for what she had done a few months ago. Ashlyn felt her Master prod her gently through their bond which she responded to by looking forward again.
"Padawans, Master Yoda?" Director Dalledos asked incredulously, "This is an important mission that cannot be completed unsuccessfully, and you are giving me a group of Padawans and one Jedi Knight?"
"This group are all Senior Padawans and have gone on many missions together, they work well together and will complete the mission with success," Master Kenobi stated with the utmost confidence in the students, reassuring the Director that Master Yoda knew what he was doing.
"May I ask how this Padawan knows information about the Empire?" Agent Highrock enquired curiously.
"That is currently none of your concern," Master Kenobi stated in finality.
Raven frowned heavily at her comment disapproving of her talking out of turn and place towards the Council about the efficiency of his best friend.
"Padawans, you are to all meet together throughout the rest of this week and next week to plan for the mission," Master Windu excused the Padawans and the meeting was closed. Once outside Daly and Ashlyn entered the elevator first which quickly filled with a high level of tension as well as an awkward silence.
"How long have you known about this?" Ashlyn asked breaking the silence.
"Ash," Daly sighed, "This is what they have decided, what can I do about it?" he demanded in frustration.
"How long?" Ashlyn demanded.
"Master Yoda came and told me before the meeting," Daly answered.
"I don't understand why they are punishing me, if I didn't do what I did hundreds of Jedi would be dead or lost," Ashlyn growled in frustration.
"Don't act like this is my fault Ash because I didn't make the decision," Daly said pointedly, "Besides how do you know they are trying to punish you? It was Master Yoda who made the decision not Master Windu."
The doors to the elevator opened interrupting Ashlyn's response and the Padawans decided to drop the discussion, heading straight to their private living quarters.
