We all know that the flash clones in halo lived normal but crippled lives, some more than others, and would probably die not long after. What happened to 117's clone? This is a story of someone who had great ambitions in life but had not the talent to reach it reincarnate as John's clone. Gifted with the Gamer, those ambitions would come to fruition, sooner or later. Gamer!SIClone

Anyway, I've come to realize the massive error of my awful writing skills. Thanks to Noneofit, he destroyed all confidence I have as a amateur casual writer.

Literally proving my point about your lack of originality and needing to use a crutch in place of narrative.

Your problem is that you wrote an SI story about 117's clone (interesting premise) but you want to ruin that by making it a ridiculous power fantasy so you ALSO want to add unoriginal technology...

...And you can't think of a way to do it so you're incorporating a ridiculously overused and unoriginal mechanic to avoid having to actually WRITE why this tech exists or how the character gets to the point of developing it.

You've literally been trying to shortcut all the critical elements of narrative.

First you made it an SI so you wouldn't need to write a realistic character and make us relate to them, instead you subbed in a reader stand-in.

Second you made them a clone of 117 and gave them ridiculous galaxy shattering superpowers because you need them to fight the Covenant but rather them do it single handedly and can't write conflict since to do so you need tension, weaknesses on your character's part, and a believable risk of failure which you've done your best to eliminate.

Further, you've used Gamer to do it, so you can avoid having to explain how he's achieving these objectives or justify your charact.

WTF dude, I'm doing shortcuts because it would take veerryy long to write everything step by step, but I did explain some tech like the combined Frameshift Drive and Slipspace thing, that was orginal.

Anyway, this story is on Hiatus until I can get proper setting, or rewrite it, maybe I'll do an OC clone and not Self insert, and he would think he really is John. Anyone wanting to continue the story or write a version of their own is free to do so, I also don't have a lot of time to write lately, very sorry.
