Over the next few days, Luz was teaching Hunter with a new fire in her eyes. She needed to take Caine down and the only way that'll work is if everyone of them is at their top shape. Luz was making progress with him. With the right teacher, anyone can learn fast.
"Alright." Luz said, stomping on the ground and creating several targets, "I want you to try and attack each one of these targets with your firebending."
Hunter nodded and Luz started to move the targets. Hunter turned around and shot a blast of fire at the first target that moved at him. Luz crumbled it to make it seem like it was defeated. Luz made the next one move towards him, and Hunter raised his leg, sending a kick that resulted in a powerful blast of fire at it. Luz, noticing that her pupil was doing pretty good, so she raised the stakes. She sent two targets at him, which made him have to dodge by rolling out of the way. He retaliated by sending his leg out one way and sending his arm another. Both resulted in fire blasting the targets. Hunter looked around and noticed that all the targets are gone.
"Was that good?" He asked.
"Well, you missed one." Luz said.
"Where?"
Luz looked at him and got into her firebending stance.
"Right here."
Before Hunter could do anything, Luz shot a fireball at him. He dodged it and sent his own fire at her. Luz easily dodged it and decided to test him more, by using all elements. Luz noticed that she was beginning to work up a sweat, natural when you're running around near fire, so she used her waterbending and launched her sweat at him. Hunter did his best to dodge, but got hit in the side of the face.
"You need to focus, Hunter." Luz said, "Not everyone is a firebender. You need to be ready from all kinds of attacks!"
Luz then used her Earthbending to make several rock spikes. Hunter dodged each one, using his firebending to give himself a boost. In the air, he spins and slams his foot on the ground. It was going to hit Luz, but she rolled out of the way just in time. Hunter's foot landed with a small thing of fire surrounding it. Luz smiled.
"You're the same person that could barely make sparks a few days ago?"
"I had a good teacher." Hunter said.
"You've learned a lot." Luz started to generate Lightning, "But you didn't learn everything."
Luz shot Lightning at him. Hunter stood his ground, looking like he was going to try and redirect it, before realizing that he never has actually been on this side of lightning before. He got nervous and rolled out of the way. Luz used her earthbending to cover his hands as he rolled away, giving her the opportunity to run over and put her fingers against his head, as if she was about to blast lightning into him.
"Always be alert." Luz said.
Luz removed the rocks and let him stand up.
"I don't think I'll ever be as good as you." Hunter said.
"Well, I've been doing this for a long time. You've only been doing this for a few days, naturally you're going to be behind someone like me, but at least now you can defend yourself."
"Well, that was quite a battle."
They both looked over and saw Lilith.
"How long have you been standing there?" Luz asked.
"I showed up a few minutes ago, I was told that the Emperor wants to see you Luz, but I noticed your dual and decided to check it out for a little bit." Lilith said, "With that over, I can now say that the Emperor wants to see you, Luz."
Luz nodded and started to walk towards the Emperor's Throne Room. She entered and walked up to the Throne.
"You wanted to see me, Emperor Belos?"
"Indeed." Belos said standing up off the throne, "It's only been a few days and Hunter's firebending has already improved tenfold."
"I was just doing what I'm supposed to do." Luz said.
"You have, which means it's time for me to uphold my end of the deal." Belos said, removing his mask, "It's time for you to start learning Airbending."
Luz was excited, she was finally going to be able to do more than the basics. Before they could start though, Belos has a question for Luz.
"Avatar, the days are becoming numbered, is there anyone you know that could possibly help with this? His army is dangerous and the Coven Guards may not be enough." Belos said.
Luz thought about it for a second. She did know a few people. Two powerful plant witches, an expert illusionist, a half demon potion master, a great Bard/Beast Keeper, and one of the best Healers on the Isles.
"Yeah, I might know a few people."
