Chapter 6 Attack on Titan

(A brief encounter with a slumbering Goddess)

Took place when the Survey Corp were using Eren to lure the titan shifter.

The scouts had just entered the forest, clueless to its slumbering resident and what their action would cause. The constant spilling of blood and the feel of fear caused the divine being in hibernation for centuries to stir.

Shrouded in pitch darkness, long raven hair fanned out under a curvy figure with porcelain skin that glowed faintly an otherworldly hue, the only source of light in the endless dark.

'What's…that?'

Lying in a curled up position their kimono part showing shapely legs as the being shift lying on their back. The loud booming of heavy artillery going off caused a frown to form on a delicate face.

'So…loud…stop…'

Silence ensure for a while then a deafening screech forced slit sapphire eyes to snap open and a command to voice from ruby lips, "Quiet!"

A burst of pure light follows flooding the area, purifying all abnormalities within ten miles. When the light cleared the scouts were surprised that all the titans that was there because of the female shifter had vanished like waking from a nightmare.

"Of course it would be humans disturbing my peaceful sleep in my territory, your species never change" the soft tinkling bell like voice echoed throughout the trees startling the soldiers into drawing their weapons on guard.

It seem as thought time stopped as a ball of light appeared above the scouts catching their attention. They watched (some) in fascinated awe as the body of a person starts to take shape before their shocked gazed.

"I hate being woken prematurely" a stunningly beautiful woman with glowing sapphire eyes, raven hair floating around her as though alive, became clearer from the forming figure.

Looking down the smoking mangled body of a blond female caught her attention, "oh my, I'm impressed you managed to survive that wave given your genetics, the woman mused descending to the barely conscious girl, you pitiful child, the path you've taken was unfortunate, I shall grant you peace" with the touch of a finger the blond disintegrated with a sigh leaving only empty cloth.

The activation of her barrier drew her attention when something collide with it. A fierce looking dark hair man wielding a type of duel blade was the culprit, "how foolishly brave of you to attack me unprovoked, human, but I expect as much from your kind, she scoff 'that mate of mine would be so pleased at my behavior', it's been a while since I've been around humans but it seems they haven't change their wayward ways" disappointment clear in her voice and expression.

"Tsk, what are you?" the male demands retreating but still within striking distance.

"How rude, she lift a sleeve covered hand to ruby lips, even if you human's spiritual awareness are pathetic, taking one look at me should have instinctively given you an idea, but ignorance is bliss they say or denial given your so called hopeless situation" she ascend looking down on them like misbehaving children.

"We are humanities last line of defense, we are the Survey Corp and I'm their commander Erwin Smith" her gaze shift to the blond male standing on a branch with a stoic expression.

"Well at least one of you know common curtesy, I've been known by many names but I'll give you the honor of knowing my true name, Kagome, Goddess of time overseer of souls" the faint glow of light on her skin brighten displaying her divinity rendering them speechless.

"I was going to punish the ones responsible for interrupting my slumber but I change my mind after glimpsing your fates, most gods have abandon humanity, constantly waging pointless wars that leads to countless deaths, friends become enemies, enemies becomes friends then a brief moment of peace and the loop repeats again, she sigh sadly, humanity is a hopeless case, had I been kind as in my youthful days, I would have shown mercy and lend my aid, but I won't being one of those who had abandon mankind that being said I have no further business with you mortals, we'll meet again after your final breath, some of you very soon, farewell for now" she turned away fading.

"Wait!" Erwin calls out with a hint of panic and desperation in his tone.

Kagome glance over her shoulder at him with narrowed eyes, "your kind created the issue, solve it yourselves" she advice vanishing immediately.

"What the hell was that?"

"Was I hallucinating?"

"Then we must all be and that's not a good sign"

"Shut up and get ready to move out" Levi ordered ending further conversation.

"It seems not even the gods are on our side", Erwin mumbles with a troubled expression, after hearing the goddess words he's become unsettle.

"Don't think too hard about it, Levi spoke landing near him, just pretend like it never happen and do what we've been doing" he then left to check on his team.

Erwin watched him zip away brows furry feeling a sense of foreboding.

~Time skip~

Kagome hovered before one of the departed souls she hanker to herself, "do you see now how pointless your struggle was" she jester to the scene of titan falling from air ships followed by chaotic battlefields.

"It wasn't pointless" the soul answered firmly balling his fists meeting her gaze unflinching.

"Oh, you really think so, she smirk, then lets view the end shall we?" they vanished.

They appeared in a forest, Kagome hovering in a sitting position the soul floating by her, "Where are we?" the soul asked confused looking around.

Just then a child came from the foliage walking pass unable to see them to stand before the large tree with a cave like entrance, "we commander Erwin are at the start of a new loop that this child will trigger, after your war ended there was peace for a time then war broke out again, nothing has changed even after you tried so hard to prove us wrong, don't look so down, be grateful at this privilege I have given you at enlightenment not many are fortunate to receive, the sole reason you still remain on this plain attach to me, now it's time for you to start your next life any longer and you would have to wait a century to be reborn" he vanished with a wave of her hand, a look of defeat on his face.

"Are you done being sidetrack mother?"

Kagome glance at the red head male that suddenly appeared beside her, "I wasn't side track Shippo only proving a point" she huffed.

"Of course, thought I don't see why, he won't remember anyway, but please visit father after leaving here he's been short tempered lately with you being distracted and ignoring him, he informed, he may not show it but he misses you, we all do" he finished with a sigh.

"Don't lecture me, she pouts, I'm going to see him anyway, and I miss my family too, she kiss hischeek, I'll see you at home" shevanished in a flash of light.

Shippo sigh exasperated watching the child and their dog enter the dark entrance, "Being the older sibling is such a pain most times" he left the area in a burst of flame.

End.
