*Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha.

Inuyasha could not believe it himself, and yet he felt the truth. Kikyo had apologized to everyone for her wrongdoings, and had talked to Inuyasha in front of everyone instead of in private about her views on the matter. Kikyo even went as far as to release Inuyasha from any commitments that he may feel that he owed her. Kikyo explained that even though she loved him dearly, enough pain had passed between them, and it would make for a bad relationship in the end. Kikyo just wished to someday at least gain enough respect back that they all could just be friends. Kikyo went further to say that Inuyasha had a future with Kagome, since she truly loved him, and he could have pups with her. Everyone did not really believe her honesty, they thought that she was up to something. As time went on the group even started to slightly believe her. Miroku still hung onto the fact that it was all to convenient for her to say this giving Kagome was not there to hear it, and wondered if she were there, if it would be the same, only time would tell, saying that Kagome was ever found. Until then Kikyo could stay with the group, it was easier to see what she was up to that way.

Normally when Sesshomaru had a problem and he found the root of it, he would usually get rid of or kill the problem. But since the problem was a girl who was hurt, and was his guest he could not do that, and it made him really moody. Sesshomaru decided to do what he could to take care of his sick miko. Coming to this conclusion seemed to make his mind, and mood more at ease. With his mind cleared he was able to better concentrate on what was needed most to heal the girl, and do so soon or there would not be anything left to give back to the half breed, and her friends.

The familiar routine finally set in, and he learned to balance time for everything. One week of the month he got to do nothing but work, and read. Sesshomaru learned alot about being a better leader from his fathers writings. He did not learn anything new about his weather other than him being a doting husband, and a feared/respected general. He could see nothing in its pages to reveal anything that would have led to such a betrayal. With becoming more balance he was able to talk with Kagome better. In gaining her trust they spent more, and more time together. This left Rin more time for her studies.

Kagome found that the more time went on, the more she missed her studies, and family. Sesshomaru noticed the change in her, and asked what was wrong, she explained that she missed her family. He had never heard of her having a family, and became slightly excited. Sesshomaru thought that he could now get rid of her, by taking her family. He did not share his thoughts with her, but did inquire as to where her family was. Kagome blinked back tears, as she stated that they were far away in a place she was not sure she would ever be able to go to again. He had never seen his miko cry before, and did not like seeing her do so now. Usually he hated anyone to show emotion, but for some reason her crying bothered him in another way. Sesshomaru went closer to her to try and console her, only to have her grab onto him, and start to sob. He felt so bad that he asked again where her family was, and asked why she thought that she could not reach them.

Kagome in her sorrow started pouring out her story, about being from 500 years in the future where her family watched over a shrine. She told that 3 years ago she was pulled down the family well by mistress centipede, who attacked her for the Shikon no Tama, that was lodged in her body. Kagome went on to say that the jewel is what allowed her to travel back, and forth to her time, and that she was afraid she could not pass again, because she did not have her shards. Sesshomaru asked how the half breed was able to cross over since he did not have any shards. Kagome explained that neither one of them knew how, and that they were the only ones. Kagome stated that she also needed to go home so that she could get medical supplies, food provisions, and books for her studies. She cried even harder remembering that she could no longer see. She brightened up some though, when she thought of the little girl, who came to play with her. Kagome told Sesshomaru that she had books that the little girl might be able to use. Kagome wondered aloud if maybe the little girl would be able to help her with her studies. Sesshomaru then excused himself, making Kagome if she had done the right thing by sharing her secret ,after all she did not know this person.
