Ch. 85

Chang Women

Dolores was working on some paperwork in her office. Two days have passed since she was dragged away by the angry centaurs and refusing to acknowledge that her insults towards the creatures was the reason they were provoked into retaliation. Rather than own up to her actions, the evil toad decided to pin the entire blame on her least favourite wizard, Harry Potter, as punishment for 'spreading lies' and 'trying to frighten the citizens of Magical London.' After she finished, Umbridge got up and left the defence classroom to patrol the corridors and look for the members of the Inquisitorial Squad. One thing Umbridge quickly noticed was that it was all quiet, probably a little too quiet. Even as Dolores made her way over to the Great Hall, she could tell that something was off because it was still too quiet. So she strolled into the Great Hall (which was strangely and totally empty) to investigate and as soon as she was in, the double doors closed and locked. Then some disillusionment charms closer to where the staff tables were had been cancelled to reveal some kind of stage. Up onstage was not only Cho Chang (who was holding some kind of guitar) but also her sister and their mother. Holding a second kind of guitar was Cho's little sister Chiaki (who was a fourth-year Ravenclaw student) and playing the drums was their mother Chuya. All three Chang women gave Umbridge a mock wave with mischievous smiles on their faces. Dolores was familiar with the Weird Sisters

"What's going on?!" exclaimed Dolores in fright, as she heard the doors behind the staff table area opening up with creaks.

"Woo hoo, hoo hoo hooooooooooooooooo!" Chuya sang into the microphone.

To Umbridge's shock, that was also a signal because alot of random students came running out from the doors and started running around the Great Hall just Chuya started playing the drums while her daughters began playing the guitars in random notes and pitches. All of the students were cheering as they ran around, with Harry Potter, Neville Longbottom, and Luna Lovegood being the last ones to run out into the Great Hall since they were ushering everybody out. To the toad's further shock, some of the teachers (including Professors McGonagall and Dumbledore) joined in on the fun.

"Woo hoo, hoo hoo hoo!" Chuya continued singing into the microphone. "Woo hoo, hoo hoo hoo! Woo hoo, hoo hoo hoo! Woo hoo, hoo hoo hoo! Hoo hoo, hoo hoo!"

"Come on, Dolores!" Minerva shouted ecstatically, gesturing for her to dance. "Join us in our fun!"

The power-abusing toad of a woman had no idea what to do, and she knew she couldn't whip her wand out to put everybody in the full-body bind because there was so much cheering and running to the point where everyone would draw their wands out in self-defence. Harry, Neville, and Luna approached the front of the stage to make up a dance, with the rest of the Gryffindor quidditch team joining them to help. Dolores felt like she was going to experience a nervous breakdown and there was no sign of the Inquisitorial Squad showing up to help her. Chuya continued singing the same thing into the microphone, and she and her daughters were enjoying every moment of the music they were playing. Only when some kind of bangs went off did the supposed chaos come to a halt. Then everybody stepped aside to let Amelia and the aurors inside and over to Dolores with wands pointed at her.

"Dolores Jane Umbridge!" Amelia informed the now-former undersecretary, as she was placed in magic-suppression handcuffs. "You're under arrest for multiple counts of corruption, multiple counts of abuse of power, multiple counts of child abuse, larceny for stealing Harry's firebolt, and attempt use of an unforgivable on Harry. You don't have to say anything, as it may harm your defence in court. Anything you choose to say can be given in evidence."

"The members of your squad have also been arrested," Kinglsey informed the toad. "Before you were rescued from the centaurs."

Dolores was led out and dragged away to be taken into ministry custody. Once the toad in pink cardigan was out of sight, the double doors closed again. Everybody began shouting to Chuya to sing the same thing into the microphone. The Chang matriarch proudly got up off the drummer's seat and pulled the microphone with her. That was when Harry stepped up onstage and behind the microphone.

"I'm proud to tell you that not only will I do the drumming," Harry spoke into the microphone. "But I'm happy to announce that I have taken up the position of Lord Black. I'm also happy to announce that Miss Cho Chang will be the future Mrs. Potter, and that Miss Chiaki Chang will be the future Mrs. Black."

There were alot of enthusiastic cheers as Harry walked over to Cho and kissed her on the lips. Then he walked over to Chiaki to do the same before Chuya gave Harry a hug as a way welcoming him into the family and that she was proud to have him as a future son-in-law. Then Harry walked over to the drums and sat down on the seat before picking up the drumsticks. Once they got ready to play the song again, Chuya sang the same thing into the microphone, then as Harry started playing the drums and her daughters playing the guitar the Chang matriarch started dancing as she sang into the microphone as everybody in the crowd began cheering wildly again. Cho and Chiaki also danced next to their mother as they played their guitars, and Harry was bouncing in the drummer's seat as he continued playing the drums. It was a great way of relieving the stress that came with Umbridge and her goon squad running the school with that iron fist. Now that they were gone, peace was restored and Hogwarts returned to it's purpose of being a safe learning environment. For the first time in who-knows-how-long, things were looking up.
