After talking with Kurama, Naruto noticed one interesting thing. He spent about 10 hours with him, but when he looked at the wall clock it became clear that only one hour had passed. After thinking about this puzzle for a while, it became clear that time in mindscape lasts 10 times longer than outside of it.

This new information gave Naruto a huge advantage in training. Just imagine the possibilities that just opened up. He can now train 10 times longer than usual and even train in his sleep, 'ttebayo! And that's in spite of being able to communicate with the thousand-year-old walking wisdom sealed inside him. Just imagine what would happen if he also used shadow clones. Suddenly, the goal of becoming the strongest Hokage is no longer such a distant goal. Hundreds of ideas had already begun to form in his head about how to use this new training method even more effectively. But that could be put aside for later.

Naruto returned to his current problems. He needs a way to get firsthand information from the border of Konoha. But how to do that? After pondering for a while, a genius idea popped into his head. All he has to do is send four shadow clones in the direction of the four sides of the world from Konoha. These clones would meditate and collect senjutsu chakra. Since the clones will be in sage mode at all times, first they will blend in with nature and no sensor will be able to find them, and secondly during the battle if he needs to enter sage mode, he will simply scatter one of the four available clones. It's Brilliant and simple.

What if I left shadow clones in the Hokage Tower as well...

Some time later:

"Yo, Hokage-sama!" Greeted Kakashi.

"Hokage-sama!" Yamato said.

"Greetings! We don't have much time, so let's get right to it." Naruto said seriously, "Yamato, the village must be rebuilt as soon as possible. That's why we'll be abusing your Mokuton. For now, start rebuilding the field hospitals, houses, and food facilities. Once Tazuna and his team arrive, we will determine a new plan for the village. After the mission, I'll join you. Dismissed!"

"Yes sir!" Yamato said, bowed, and left.

"Kakashi, pack up your gear, we're going to clear NE headquarters."

"Yes sir!"

Naruto wasted no time creating four shadow clones and sent them into the forest. He gathered his gear and disappeared in a swirl of leaves.

Entrance to the ANBU NE headquarters:

Before Pain's attack, Root's headquarters was hidden in the basement of one of Konoha's buildings. However, now that there was only a crater left at the site of Konoha, it was only a matter of time before someone found their lair. And of course, it turned out to be very convenient that it was the Sixth Hokage Uzumaki Naruto, in sage mode, who sensed hundreds of Root agents not taking part in repelling the attack, underground. So, having assembled several ANBU squads and broken them into teams, each with two Naruto shadow clones who had already collected senjutsu chakra, the squads blocked all entrances and exits.

Meanwhile, the real Naruto with ANBU Commander Saru, Hatake Kakashi, and several other members of the Special Assassination and Tactical Squad took up position at the main entrance. The assembled ninja awaited their Hokage's command.

"Listen up everyone! Go in fast, use the Temporary Paralysis Technique to neutralize any opposition. Don't kill anyone, tie everyone up and send them to T&I. Seal up any valuables you find and bring them to headquarters. My clones will be a distraction, use this distraction to your advantage. Continue to hide your chakra signatures until the end of the operation. Let's go!" After giving the command, Naruto dispersed the shadow clone so that the information would reach the clones in the other teams.

All units simultaneously infiltrated the ROOT's lair. From the inside, the lair looks like an underground tower, with sewer pipes running along the walls. At the very top is a long, five-meter wide walkway. Supposedly, this is where Naruto felt all the ROOT members during the attack on the village. The floor below is the training grounds. If you take a closer look at the walls, you can see many protective seals attached to the walls. There are especially a lot of them in the training areas.

Upon reaching the training ground floor, the first squad of ANBU and Naruto's shadow clones heard the sounds of fighting. One of the shadow clones ordered him to stop, using the "Stop" hand gesture. He closed his eyes and began concentrating on the chakra signatures of the training ground to see how many people were in the room.

"Interesting, one agent with chakra at Jonin level and four agents with chakra at Chunin level. So there's a separate training area for each ROOT squad. That makes it a lot easier." Thought the clone.

Abruptly opening his eyes, the clone began to make new hand gestures.

"Go ahead and spread out around the room. I'll draw attention to myself. Go!"

While the ANBU carried out their orders, the Naruto clone walked slowly through the front door. As soon as the training ROOT agents heard the footsteps, everyone stopped in their exercises.

"Hey." The clone waved lazily, "What's up?"

The agents who had previously frozen in place looked at each other. The one with the Jonin-level chakra signature stepped forward.

"Who are you?"

"Oh, sorry, I forgot to introduce myself!" Started the clone getting into a dramatic pose, "I am the Great Toad Sage of Mount Myoboku! People call me the most unpredictable number one ninja, the savior of princesses, and the great ramen taster. I am known for knocking common sense into the heads of my enemies. My name will soon be known across the continent, for I am the Great and Unique Sixth Hokage Uzumaki Naruto!"

His statement was met with silence.

"Is he an idiot?" Asked one of the agents.

"Definitely."

"No doubt."

"Hey! I'm not an idiot!" Shouted Naruto back.

"So what are you doing here?" Asked the Squad Captain.

"Maa, you know how it is. I was strolling along the road of life, when suddenly I saw this cute little kitty with a sad face strolling all alone in Konoha in the evening. So, like a true gentleman, I couldn't leave the lady sad and alone, much less in the evening..."

While Naruto was babbling nonsense like Kakashi had taught him, the agents began to look at each other again. One of them couldn't even hide the surprise on his face. And they said they were insensitive. Apparently, this agent was a rookie.

"Stop screwing with us! Tell us how you got to our base before we-" Squad Captain began.

But before he could finish, suddenly his whole body was paralyzed. He began frantically looking around to find who had done it. He didn't have to wait long, as the six members of the capture squad quickly descended and pressed their swords to each opponent's throat.

"Now listen up!" The now-serious clone said loudly, "Today Danzo Shimura was executed for his actions against the Leaf Village. From now on, the ANBU NE is under the jurisdiction of the Hokage, that is me. As of this day, all of the organization's clandestine activities come to an end. All members of ANBU NE will be detained and subsequently interrogated. Those who are willing to surrender voluntarily and willing to continue their activities for the future of Konoha will be reintegrated into the Official Military Forces of Konoha, and those who do not agree to serve their Hokage will not be happy. Do you understand me?"

As Naruto spoke, the NE agents came to realize what an asshole they were in. It didn't take long to think about the proposal, since not every ANBU ROOT member agreed with Danzo's philosophy, but for lack of alternatives (After all, ROOT could only leave through death), one had to put up with Shimura's ideas.

"I... I surrender, don't kill me, I want to go back to my family! Forgive me for calling you an idiot! I'm ready to serve you Hokage-sama, just don't kill me!" Begged the same rookie in the squad.

"I give up too!"

"And I!"

So, each member of this squad began to surrender one by one. Apparently, there weren't any ardent supporters of Danzo's philosophy in this squad. Well, that makes things a lot easier.

"Okay." Said Naruto, "You six take them to the prison cells and keep an eye on them. The rest of you join the other squads. Let's go!"

At the same time the floor below:

Two other ANBU teams were searching the floor with ROOT agents' rooms. What's interesting is that the doors to the rooms were missing. Apparently, this was done so that nothing could be hidden from the superiors. Using the method of walking silently with chakra, the squads slowly moved forward to search the rooms.

Naruto's clones created more clones to search the rooms as quickly as possible. Since it was already late evening and apparently, most of the soldiers on this floor were adhering to a strict sleep schedule, most of the agents were found asleep. So it wasn't difficult to tie them up and apply the Chakra-Suppressing Seal.

After pulling out the bound agents, it became clear that on this floor there were exclusively recruits, who by the looks of them were still quite children. Did Hiruzen know that there was an underground organization in his village that used children as soldiers?

Children were easier to deal with, they felt they had Genin-level chakra. So getting out from under the Chakra-Suppressing Seal was impossible.

Gathering all the children in line, several ANBU agents with Naruto shadow clones began escorting them to prison for children's, after all, they are children, even if they were trained to devote their lives to killing.

A little bit later:

As it turned out, below the floor with the recruits' rooms were the rooms of all the other agents, except the squad leaders, whose rooms were even lower.

There ANBU units had already had to face real resistance. What was surprising, however, was that there were few resisting ninjas. Apparently, Danzo ruled his agents with fear rather than instilling in them a sense of loyalty. And so most of the agents willingly passed under the command of their new Hokage.

Meanwhile, Saru, the real Naruto, and Kakashi went down to the ROOT labs. Walking through the corridors of the lab, it was getting uncomfortable. There were a large number of flasks everywhere, with what appeared to be test subjects floating around in them. Some were very young, and some didn't look human at all. Brrr. There were some eyes floating in the jars. Wait, is that a Sharingan?

Deciding that a delay in the labs wouldn't be good for anyone's psyche, Naruto and Kakashi began sealing up everything they found in the lab. Meanwhile, Saru went further and found what looked like an archive. After breaking into the vault, which contained important documents, the ANBU Commander also began sealing everything he found in Sealing Scrolls.

ANBU Headquarters, a little later:

The further Naruto read all the reports provided, the clearer it became that killing Danzo was in fact the right decision. As much as Naruto wanted to, he couldn't change everyone's mind. Believe, he tried. But still, that knowledge was weighing on Naruto. He wanted to come to peace through understanding, but killing all the people he didn't like wouldn't get him very far. The world had spilled enough blood and seen enough death.

But the only consolation he found at the moment was that Danzo was truly without hope of redemption. It gave the impression that this man was the source of all the world's evil, if you look at his exploits.

This man stole the eyes of his teammate (Kagami Uchiha) while under the leadership of Tobirama Senju.

Together with Orochimaru he experimented on people.

Desecrated the First Hokage's body, then created himself an arm based on his cells.

Stealing children from his own village to then turn into emotionless killing machines.

He attempted to assassinate the Third Hokage.

Tried to steal the eye given to Kakashi-sensei.

Spread false rumors about the Uchiha Clan, later ordering its destruction.

Damn, he was the one who revealed his jinchuriki status, chastising him for growing in loneliness and hatred. And that was just the tip of the iceberg.

Next day:

About 40,000 Konoha residents gathered in front of the Hokage Tower to watch the proclamation of the new Hokage.

Naruto stood on the roof, gathering his thoughts. He was very nervous, because his dream would finally come true after this. And he also has to light a fire in the hearts of the villagers after all this shocks.

Everyone waited with bated breath for their new leader's speech.

The Sixth Hokage stepped forward, took his hat off his head, and began to speak.

"Citizens of Konoha, on this momentous day, my long-held dream has finally come true, for today is the day I will officially become Hokage. My dream since childhood had a selfish purpose, to become the leader of this village for the sake of appreciation, that was my childhood dream. A man I met on my first mission outside the village said one thing that I remember every day, he said 'When a person has something important they want to protect - that's when they can become truly strong'. I have been living these words ever since I heard them. It was these words that prompted me to reconsider my dreams and from then on, my dream was no longer to become Hokage and be recognized. No, my dream since then has been to become a Hokage and protect the people I care about. Over the years I have met many people, traveled to many countries, and made many friends. And now I can say with confidence that everyone has finally seen the meaning of these words. I have protected this village from destruction, from an enemy that even my teacher, the strongest man in this village, could not defeat. And I can say with great confidence that I have become truly strong because of my precious people. Thanks to you, all the people of the village.

Our First Hokage's philosophy of life was that love is the key to peace. According to this philosophy, the village is one big family. This ideology has been betrayed from generation to generation, and has finally reached us. And now the Will of Fire that burns in our hearts will help us rebuild this village. Let us all continue to defend the village as our ancestors did. And thank you for trusting me.

From this day forward, I will defend the village as Rokudaime Hokage!"

The crowd erupted in applause, every ninja or civilian present, old man or child, absolutely everyone kneeling before their new leader. This little speech lifted the spirits of the whole village. Those who were older couldn't help but remember how they had treated him before, but the Hokage seemed to forgive them all. The children watched with stars in their eyes.

The legend of Uzumaki Naruto began to unfold before everyone's eyes.
