In the Gryffindor common room, Harry and Hermione were huddled over the warmth of the fireplace. They were going over some old diaries and documents that Harry had found in the attic at his Aunt's house and it did not paint a happy picture.

Harry closed one of the many books opened around them "So, if this is to be believed, I should have been emancipated at the death of James and Lily being the last remaining heir of a Most Ancient and Most Noble house. So why wasn't I?"

Hermione shook her head, still a bit in shock "There's not many people who could interfere with that. The list is short and even the Minister doesn't have authority. That would require international control of some level, and the only person with that level of authority is the Supreme Mugwump."

Harry hisses "Dumbledore. Everything goes back to him."

Hermione leans in and whispers "This is why we both mastered Occlumency to hide what was going on over the summer. We had idea that someone was reading our thoughts, but now we know it was Dumbledore, and likely Snape with the headaches you got during potions."

Harry pounds the chair with his fist "I hate them. I hate this. Look at this!" Harry shoves a document at Hermione "It says here I should have multiple accounts at Gringotts. I asked them last I was there, I only have the one and it's only the Trust vault. They lied!'

Hermione puts her hand to her mouth and gasps "Harry, by law, no, by magic itself, Gringotts can't lie about your vaults. It was a blood oath between the wizards and the goblins back during the founders. They can omit mentioning it, but if you went there and demanded your faults, they would have no choice but to give you access."

Harry leans back in thought "OK, I'm going there now. I need my ring and the money to fight what is going on in the wizarding world. Between Dumbledore, Snape, the blind eye of the staff here at Hogwarts, the peers who harass us, the Ministry, and Voldemort, I need every advantage I can get."

Harry got up, pulled on his invisibility cape and disappeared. His voice whispered down to Hermione "I'm going to Gringotts, try to cover for me as I get my things."

Hermione felt a hug and quiet foot steps peter off as she heard a whispered 'Silenco!' and then the door open and close.

Hermione pulled her legs to her chest and started to rock back and forth. This was becoming dangerous and there was no one they could trust.

Hermione was shaken awake into the cold dark eyes of Snape. Beside him stood a somber Dumbledore who spoke up "Miss Granger, Harry is missing from the dorm. We believe you know where he is."

Hermione started to shake her head but a scoff from Snape cut her off before she could even comment "She clearly knows something. If she's not willing to talk we'll just have to use other means."

Hermione blinked in shock at Snape and glanced to Dumbledore, who had a sad look on his fake grandfather weathered face.

Dumbledore spoke up "Now now Severus, we won't need to go to such extremes. I'm sure Miss Granger is well aware the seriousness of the situation."

Hermione's face went blank, her eyes cool as she took in the two evil men before her. A few years ago she would have given anything for a kind word from an adult, especially ones that were reportedly as great at these two had been written about, but the blinders were now truly gone.

Hermione re-enforced her mental walls and glared at Dumbledore "I don't know where Harry is."

Then the pain hit. Snape leaned in as he grunted in surprise effort and whispered in an oily voice "Well now, someone's been studying Occlumency."

Dumbledore raised an eyebrow "Curious, I was sure to remove all the books from Europe about them."

Hermione, despite under immense pain hissed through teeth unable to snipe back smugly "There's such a thing as international owl order you despot."

Dumbledore sighed "And by even admitting to do that you have admitted to doing an illegal activity."

Hermione hissed "Ordering a book is not illegal, even from another country."

Dumbledore "Too true, but it will be next Wizengamot meeting. We'll just have to make it an Ex Post Facto law and make it regressively apply."

Hermione, now biting her lip to avoid screaming as blood started to pool out of her nose and ears from the overwhelming pressure of a far more skilled mind wizard, whispered back "You both are monsters." then her head went back and she screamed.

Snape grunted again "She's encrypting the data in her mind. I can get it, but she'll be damaged."

Dumbledore shrugged "She made her choice. Do what you have to."

Snape just grinned "My pleasure." and he put his full effort into getting the information.

Hermione was in hell. Her mind was on fire, and she had long stopped screaming. Her voice box was well past ruined, blood was pooling out of her eyes, and she was starting to forget things. And then suddenly, Snape was inside her mind, and gloating "Perfect recall. Well now, since you were such an annoying little chit, we'll have to make sure you can't do anything like this again."

Hermione's mental world burned.

Outside in the real world, she started to foam at the mouth and started to twitch. Muscle control lost, her bladder released, soiling herself as she went limp and just laid with blank eyes starting at the ceiling and gasping.

Snape pulled out of the ruined mind of Hermione and smiled smugly to Albus "I got the information. He's at Gringotts, but the chit hid the reason why before I could get it. She literally burned her own memory of it. So naturally in return I burned everything else."

Dumbledore sighed "You have a fascination in destroying muggleborns, Severus. I remember you killing Lily as well that evening. If Voldemort hadn't attacked that night, I'd never have been able to cover for you."

Dumbledore looked down to the still quivering and shaking Miss Granger "She truly does have a remarkable mind. Even irreparably damaged as she is, her mind is attempting to repair itself. Truly remarkable."

Snape snorted "That chit isn't recovering from what I did." as he grabs a drought of living death and pours it down Hermione's throat, stroking her throat to force the swallow "And now she'll never be able to tell anyone even on the off chance she recovers. This is my own alteration. Without the proper anti-drought, she'll never recover. It's the same formula you had me give the Longbottoms."

Dumbledore claps his hands "Well, this was a rather unfortunate evening. Let's get Miss Granger to the health wing and report the unfortunate accident. She really should now better than to play with foreign magic without proper testing. Oh dear, oh dear."

Snape snorted a laugh as he grabbed Granger roughly and threw her over his shoulder as they faded to invisibility with a spell and walked out the door.

Dumbledore's voice wafted up "No idea what Harry is doing at Gringotts, but we'll make sure to question him when he returns. The condition of Miss Granger should weaken his resolve quite nicely."

As the door closed, a head peaked up from under the couch, the missing gob-stone Neville was looking for long forgotten. He waited a few minutes to make sure the coast was clear, then ran as silently as he could to the owl room to post a hurried note to Harry. He was going to be so mad.

Harry was sitting with his account manager, Ba'alSak going over his finances. After the initial… conflicts… it was resolved fairly quickly when they both realized they were screwed by some paid off goblins, the Ministry, and Dumbledore fairly equally. After that, it was more a less a team effort to get back at them. Well, the ones who were not immediately beheaded in Gringotts. Goblins don't take to traitors well.

A hurried interruption when an Owl flew in and harried Harry before he grabbed the note. The owl immediately left as Harry with a glance to his account manager, whom nodded slightly in allowance, allowed Harry to open the letter and began to read. Half way through he screamed "I'll fucking kill them! They're dead!" as he shoved the papers on his lap to the floor and started to stalk, breathing like a dragon on diesel fuel.

Ba'alSak calmly shuffled the papers back on his desk and raised an eyebrow and stated the obvious, calmly "Bad news?"

Harry, tears in his eyes, commented "Snape mind raped Hermione and Dumbledore let him do it. They did it just to find where I was. And didn't even bother to follow up on it. They left her there, shoved a drought down her throat to cover up the misdeed, and are waiting for me. Hermione is as good as dead, and it's all my fault."

The goblin banged his head on the desk "No! The fault is them, and it's not too late. Goblin healing excels in mind, soul, and body magics. We can heal her. It will take time, but she'll be as good as new, better or my head is yours, Harry Potter."

Harry, his eyes blazing with fire "I'll hold you to that, and I'll cut it with a dull blade if she's not. But this just highlights what is wrong with wizard society. Dumbledore and Snape? They're not the exception, they're the rule. The majority of wizards are corrupt, uncaring parasitic cesspits on the anus of life."

Ba'alSak belly laughed "Harry, I always love your metaphors. You always brighten an otherwise gloomy day. There are some good wizards, but they will be needlessly destroyed because they believe in fair policy in a society that doesn't bother to honor it."

Harry storms back and forth and mutters out through gritted teeth "I've had enough. I'm going to burn the wizarding world by starting at the children. Every single one who's irredeemable dies. And the ones who are I can count in small numbers."

Ba'alSak looked up "How can you be sure which ones are corrupt and which ones are not?"

Harry grinned full of teeth "Because unlike everyone else, I find I'm gifted at the mind arts and not only did I master them, I found a method through the Potter grimoire that makes it undetected and unbeatable. I tried to teach Hermione, but we realized it wouldn't work as she's not Potter by blood. Lily wrote in her manuals that even through marriages it can not be learnt. It must be though blood. So we were looking at a way for me to blood-bind myself to Hermione to allow her to do it. We figured a way but the potion to make it is still being prepared. It wouldn't have been ready for another month. But regardless, I have a list of every single person in Hogwarts that is redeemable, and if you excuse me for a moment, I need to write some letters."

Harry pulled out a pen, and wrote about 4 dozen letters and blood locked them to the sender with a timed port-key. "I need to do some preparation. Ba'alSak, please send these letters out exactly one week from now. The wizarding world will burn."

Ba'alSak "How do you plan this most excellent revenge?"

Harry looked grim from recalling a memory "Wizards, unlike normal no-mags, are able to breath in what would normally kill others. This includes things like oh, natural gas. Natural gas, which unmodified, has no scent."

Ba'alSak "Is this gas dangerous?"

Harry looked at Ba'alSak "Highly flammable, plus, magic works just fine on it. Like the duplication spell, or say a curse like the Gemini spell."

Ba'alSak rose an eyebrow "And once you… duplicate this gas, what do you plan to do?"

Harry shrugged as he got up and walked toward the door and paused "Burn down the world."

Harry was treated as he expected when he returned to Hogwarts. Hermione was in the medical wing, seemingly unrecoverable. Harry had already planted the timed port-key on her when no one was looking. She was long gone to the frantic searching of Pomfrey. No one else seemed to care. Neville, the Petal sisters, the Greengrass sisters, Susan, Dean, and various others got their letters and their port-keys. Pomfrey was snuck one as well.

Harry's head constantly hurt, but the face on Snape as he was unable to penetrate Harry's protections was worth the pain. Dumbledore's sad grandfather look was getting old, and if he heard how much he disappointed him one more time, he would make a drinking game out of it.

He figured he'd be pickled by breakfast if he did.

Exactly one week later, in the great hall during lunch, flashes of light appeared and a small group of students disappeared from Hogwarts. The teachers stood in shock and Dumbledore fired a cannon blast "Quiet, everyone. Harry, what have you done?"

Harry laughs out loud "Immediately you accuse me without any facts. Well, unlike all the other times, this time you're right!"

Dumbledore raised both eyebrows in shock.

Harry grins "I also want to say one thing before anyone else."

Snape sneered "And what would pompous Potter want to say?"

Harry looks coolly to Snape "I would say… burn!"

With the key word, a normal muggle fire started in all the key locations around the wizarding world. Magic fire, like in the lights and torches were unique in that they would only burn what they were spelled to do. It was why they were used for potions and not normal flames. He listened sometimes to what Snape said. Muggle fire however was indiscriminate. It would burn like any normal fire.

And when normal file was introduced to thousands upon thousands of pressurized natural gas and oxygen mixture, it would do like any other fire in that situation.

It would explode. And it would burn. And it did. A lot.

The last thing that went through Snape and Dumbledore's head was the 9 inch fork from the table, but before that was the middle finger Harry gave them before his port-key took him away.

Harry popped up on a hill hundreds of miles away from any magical location. Beside him, in a floating magical chair, being treated by a medical goblin was Hermione, who smiled up at him with only a few facial ticks. She would need several more months of healing by the goblins, but she would recover, as Ba'alSak promised. And her mind would be that much stronger. Apparently, from what the goblin medic stated, the mental scar tissue would thicken the shielding. Now Harry doubted even he would be able to penetrate Hermione's mind, and that was with the secret Potter techniques.

Hermione spoke up, a bit stilted speech, but still fairly clear "I never thought I'd be happy to see the wizard world burn."

The fire glow lit up the night sky, even hundreds of kilometers away. The wizards, of course, would be able to use magic to put it out, but it'd have to be wizards from another nation that would do it. Harry made sure there was damn little left of the British to do so. Not even worth kindle.

Harry spat at his feet "Good fucking riddance."

Hermione scrunched up her face in distaste, Harry wasn't sure it was the language or the spit, but then Hermione popped her neck as if she was shrugging and then looked back at the warm glow of the fire. She reached out a shaking hand and took Harry's in hers and smiled grimly.

Maybe the cleansing fire would start something new. But it'd do so without Harry or Hermione. Australia called, it was time to move.
