Quick Update: After a suggestion by a reader who goes by Primarx, the crossover will be a separate story, an alternate route of sorts for the curious. There WILL be a canon, FIREBRAND-focused route that keeps it within FIREBRAND, with the crossover one being a possible or impossible canon depending on which one you want to go for.

The FIREBRAND-focused one will be the first to be worked on while the crossover will be the second.

Right now after this post I am reading the DxD Light Novels to get ready for the next chapters of FIREBRAND so please be patient. Also need you all to know I am also battling sickness so I've been in a inconsistent state of hibernation.

"You don't have to worry about "the assassin", I took care of him," said Naruto (Uzumaki) upon his arrival to the Agares Residence, freaking everyone out from his sudden appearance. "He was pulled away before I could finish him. I don't believe he'll show up again."

"Thank you, for coming when you did," said Xenovia. Looking at the holy shroud around her left arm, Naruto asked if "the assassin" was the one who did that to her, the Namikaze Knight nodding her head yes.

"You don't have to go after him. We have more important matters after all," the Namikaze Knight tells him, Naruto agreeing with her.

"Are there any more coming here?" asked a curious Issei, Naruto telling him he was the only one who came at the moment. "At the moment?" Smiling at him, Naruto informed everyone that he had a few friends on the ready who will help them finish things up a bit quicker as soon as they got the machine they used to bring him through working again.

"Naruto." Facing Itachi, Naruto asked him if he got transported here the same way his mother did. "Yeah. I believe Sakura (Matou) is worried sick about me back at home."

"Yeah she is, speaking of, thank you all for looking after Ayane, Xenovia, my mother, and Kureha. I'm sure you all have millions of questions, but your Naruto needs me right now."

"With your power, you could handle this situation on your own," said Hoshikari, having measured his energy levels following his appearance, finding them at the threshold of the gods, with room to grow.

"Maybe, but not without endangering more lives. If we're to defeat the Akatsuki, the Otsutsuki, and Madara, without any casualties, we'll need your Naruto."

"How will you find him exactly?" asked a curious Xenovia.

"If he has the potential to utilize chakra like me, which is highly likely, I can track him."

"Wait, you're telling us that our Naruto has the potential to use Senjutsu?" a surprised Seekvaira asked.

"Most likely, he just hasn't realized it, or had the curiosity to see for himself. First, tell me what I need to know about your Naruto so I can deal with him better once I do find him, within three minutes."

Naruto's eyes looked empty as he looked at the view in front of him. Remembering how Obito died protecting him, and how Kushina got injured during the battle, he clenched his teeth in frustration.

"That bad, huh?" Naruto turns around and blasts a fireball at Naruto-2, who smacks it into the sky.

"You are-"

"Naruto Uzumaki."

"Uzumaki?"

"Unlike you, the first 12 years of my life, I didn't have parents to raise me, having lost them after I was born," Naruto-2 told the Namikaze Rook. "When you have a dad with several enemies made during a great war between five ninja nations, taking our mother's surname was the best course of action the leader of the ninja village I came from could think of. The three years following that, the shrine maiden who came here, Kureha, took care of me, and, well...here I am."

"If you lost them, then how is our- Did she get pulled from-"

"It's a very long story that one," said Naruto. "All you need to know is that my Moka fought someone very powerful, which ended up triggering "ripples" in the fabric of reality, and my parents being alive are one of the results of it."

"Is that right. What a messed up stroke of luck you have."

"At least you're lucky to have been raised by them how long they were able to," Naruto-2 replied. "For me, I only just got them back a year ago, and happy memories of them are only just beginning. We can compare later, right now, you need to come back with me, and apologize for...being the you you're being right now...Okay that didn't make sense but you know what I mean."

"I can't...Not when..."

"When those around you suffered?"

"Yeah," said Naruto. "Those people who came from your time, right? I brought them here and I can't even deal with them myself...You...You're clearly stronger than me, than even "him"...You deal with it. I'm-"

"Don't finish that sentence, Naruto Namikaze," Naruto-2 told the blond Rook. "You finish it, you might as well go out and say they've already won."

"..."

"There have been times where I couldn't save people, a few too many to count, and those who have been injured just being around me, and it is something you can't always prevent." Naruto-2 admits. "I was a very different person than how I am now. Kureha, the shrine maiden, and Jiraiya...they were like a second Mom and Dad to me before they were taken from me. I wasn't there to protect them, nor did I have the power to. While I endured the pain, I got bitter, fueled by rage toward those who saw me as a weapon to use. For a time, I got stronger on my own to make up for the power I lacked, but it did nothing to make me feel better. At the moments of my most vulnerable, I ignored the people who wanted to help me. They could have abandoned me and left me to fight on my own, but they didn't. They kept fighting beside me and for me, knowing the risks. Even when the enemy in front of them was a god or someone who had unimaginable power under their fingertips, they didn't care.

"Even if they knew they could die?" Naruto asked.

"They're really damn stubborn I tell you," Naruto-2 said with a smile. "But that's what makes them worth having. The truth is Naruto, while we can get stronger on our own, that can only take us so far. The bonds I've made, the bonds you've made, they're what makes us stronger than we are by ourselves, and the reason why you have to keep fighting, whether we're a Human or a Devil." With every sentence Naruto-2 put out, the Rook felt the strength behind them as his spirit slowly becomes renewed.

"You're right, those guys out there out there are from my time, but this is your universe, and it'll take the both of us, and all the help we can get, to stop all of them. What do you say Firebrand? Are you ready to dust yourself off and get back into the fight?" Now standing up and facing the blond ninja, he answers him with, "Yeah," shaking his hand after.
