During the day, the halls of UA are crowded with students as they make their way from one class to the next. However, as the sun would set and the students would go home, only the teachers remained. Tonight would be different however as there was one student left in the halls. A student on a mission.

Although half of her class had already left for the day after the attack on the USJ, Momo Yaoyorozu remained at the school. She told the staff that it was simply because she lived too far away to walk home and that her parents were too busy with work to come and get her. While these two things were true, that was not why she remained in school.

Clad in her white hoodie which she had been given as a gift from Spider-Man, Momo hid her face as she snuck through the halls of the school, searching for her hero. Using a flashlight, she would blind the cameras as she made her way through the halls. "I can't believe I'm doing this…"

"They said that they would keep him here until morning when the police would come back to pick him up," Momo said, remembering the conversation between All Might and the police commissioner.

"I can't tolerate a vigilante on campus, Tsukauchi," All Might said.

"It's just until morning, All Might," replied the policeman. "Look, I understand your concern, but with the state that he's in he can't go through processing and he sure as hell won't get the treatment he needs in prison."

"So he needs to stay here?!"

"Recovery Girl is the best in the business," said Tsukauchi. "She'll fix Spider-Man up well enough for us to take him in by morning." He looked over to the two men trying to take off Spider-Man's mask. Every time they reached for his mask, they would get shocked by his electricity. "She'll have to do it by hand this time I suppose," sighed the man.

"That's true," said All Might. "She did manage to get a student out of a coma recently with her quirk. As far as I know, she's one of the only people in Japan to manage a feat like that."

"Exactly," said the man. "Now, keep him in Recovery Girl's office for the time being. And here…" said the man, handing something to All Might. The class was unable to see what exactly it was since the hero's hulking frame was blocking their line of sight.

"There he is," Momo said, arriving in Recovery Girl's office. Her hero was in a terrible state. His body was covered in stitches and burns. "Oh, you poor man."

Momo examined the boy's mask, which had been torn in some areas. "You don't look any older than me…"

"No older than me and yet he's risking his life to save others?" thought the girl.

Her eyes drifted from stitch to stitch on the boy's face, eventually landing on his lips. The girl's breathing hitched as her face slowly began to approach Spider-Man's. Just as their lips were about to touch, a small spark shocked the girl's bottom lip. She recoiled from the shock just as Spider-Man awoke.

"W-Where am I?" asked Spider-Man.

"Y-You're in Recovery Girl's office…," the girl said. "I'm so glad you're okay." Momo lunged at the boy, wrapping him up in a tight hug.

"What's this abou-?"

"Don't ever scare me like that again!" the girl yelled.

He was taken aback by her tone of voice. "I-I won't, Momo." He went to hug the girl back but noticed the quirk-dampening handcuffs that kept him attached to the bed.

Izuku used his free hand to feel his face. "They didn't take off my mask? They must've kept me here for treatment." thought the boy. "I guess I'm a criminal now, huh?" he asked.

She shot back from the boy. "We've gotta get you out of here!" she exclaimed. "The police are going to be here in the morning to take you to prison!"

Before she had time to react, Spider-Man had ripped her hood off of her head. "Spider-Man?!" asked the girl. He briskly turned the girl around and wrapped his arm around her neck. "What are you doing?!"

"Do you trust me?" he asked.

Momo thought for a moment. "With my life."

She could almost hear the boy smile as HoundDog burst through the door. "Good."

In her haste, Momo had forgotten to lock the door behind her, allowing the school security officer, Hound Dog, to easily enter the room.

"Ms. Yaoyorozu!" yelled the man. "Stay calm, Ms! We'll have you safe and sound in no time!" He attempted to approach the two.

"Back, Pooch, back!" yelled Spider-Man, causing the hero to growl. He backed closer to the wall-sized window at the far end of the room. "Brace yourself," he whispered to the girl.

"What do you-?" before she had time to finish her question, Momo found herself falling out of the smashed window, cradled in Spider-Man's arms like a princess.

Landing on the ground, Spider-Man laughed as he made a break for the front gate of the school. However, before he could run any further, he suddenly became very light-headed, collapsing to his knees.

"Spider-Man?" Momo asked as the boy set her on the ground. "What's wrong?"

"They didn't fully heal me," the boy answered. "They probably didn't want to take me in at full power."

"C-Can you walk?"

Before he could answer, the door to the facility opened as a man emerged.

"Why couldn't I sense that?" Izuku wondered. "Unless…" He turned towards Momo. "I'll be okay, Momo. You need to run."

"What?!" asked the girl. "I can't just leave you here!"

"You said you trust me with your life, right?"

"I do, but-"

"Then run!" the boy yelled. "Please… I promise I'll be fine." Momo stilled. "If you get caught, you'll never become a hero," continued Spider-Man. "That's not something you want to throw away, Momo."

The girl fought an internal war, eventually understanding the boy was right. Her dream wasn't something that she could give up. "Please come back to me," the girl said through teary eyes before leaving the boy behind.

Through now-blurred vision, Izuku watched as the figure approached from the entrance. He glared at the man. "You should really be more careful not to get caught," the man said. "I could've been a good hero." He sent a kick to the boy's face, knocking him out cold.

A familiar smell of leftover pizza and root beer woke Izuku up from his sleep. "Did you have to kick him so hard, Aizawa?" asked the voice of Recovery Girl. Izuku's eyes snapped open, realizing that he was back in his apartment and on the receiving end of one of the mature heroine's smooches.

"I had to make it look convincing for the cameras," replied the voice of Class 1-A's Pro Hero Teacher, Shota Aizawa. "Hey," he greeted, noticing Izuku had awoken.

"H-Hey…?" said Izuku, his shoulders tensing. It was then that he noticed he had been bathed and changed. "D-Did you change me?"

The woman giggled. "Don't worry, kid. It wasn't the first time that I had to change a hero like a baby."

Izuku looked at the woman with a raised eyebrow, "A 'hero?'"

Recovery Girl smiled "Not everyone who breaks the law is a villain, sonny." She then delivered a swift knock onto the boy's head.

"Ow!" he yelled. "What was that for?!"

"That's for waking up from a coma and not telling anyone!" replied the woman, delivering another barrage of smacks. "Do you know how terrified I was when I went to check on you and you weren't there? The only one who knew anything about your condition was Midnight, and I could barely make out anything she was saying through all her drooling."

Izuku cringed at the woman's name. "I'm sorry," he began. "I didn't think anyone would care."

"Then you're an idiot." She turned from the boy. "Now, Aizawa and you have some things to discuss, so I'll be taking my leave. I fully healed you this time, this will also be the last time I will fully heal you." After grabbing her bag and opening the door to the apartment, she looked back at Izuku. "I will not tolerate suicidal patients." The lady moved to close the door before it skidded along the floor. "You should get someone to fix this door…"

Izuku looked towards Aizawa. "What was that about?"

"Don't worry about her," he replied. "She's old, so she's seen her fair share of beaten-to-death heroes. That's her rule with everyone."

Izuku fumbled with his hands as he sat on the edge of his seat, his arms resting on his knees. "You can relax, Midoriya." The man walked over and sat on the rock-hard loveseat next to the boy. "Here… take this."

Izuku watched as the man reached into his pocket and pulled out a folded sheet of paper. Before he could unfold it, Aizawa spoke. "You should know before you open that, I don't offer this chance to anyone… ever. After what you did at the USJ; consider this as my way of saying thank you."

Izuku raised his brow. "You didn't have to get me anything, Aizawa-Sensei," replied the boy. "It's just what All Might would have done."

"I'm not so sure of that these days," the man muttered.

Izuku unfolded the letter and began to read it. "I, Shota Aizawa, am submitting this recommendation on the behalf of Izuku Midoriya, a student I deem worthy of attending UA's hero course. Should a position open up, I request that Izuku Midoriya will be the top prospect for a replacement."

Izuku's hand trembled. "This is-"

"Not all," finished the man. "It would be hard for someone classified as 'quirkless' to be given a position in the top hero course in Japan. That's why I had this made." Reaching into his other pocket, he handed yet another piece of paper to Izuku.

Izuku unfolded the second piece of paper. "The QDA ('Quirk' Diagnostics Agency) hereby rescinds the former quirk of Izuku Midoriya, 'Quirkless,' and diagnoses him as having an Emitter -type quirk, known as Bio-Electricity Manipulation"

Izuku was left speechless.

"It's okay to refuse it, Midoriya," the man said. "I'm not going to force you to take my class, but should you choose to accept my offer, there is an empty spot in Class 1-A for someone with such potential as yourself."

"However," he continued. "I should also inform you that if you take this path, Spider-Man can never be seen by the public until after you pass your provisional licensing exam."

"This was the same path that I chose." continued the man. "I started as a vigilante, was recommended by a pro-hero, passed my licensing exam, and became 'Eraserhead.'"

"So, I'd have to give up being Spider-Man for the time being?" asked Izuku. "I don't know if that's something that I can do… It feels like I was given these powers to help people, and to just keep them to myself doesn't feel right to me."

"I understand…," said Aizawa.

"Well, those are just copies of the official forms, so you're already set to join the hero course whenever you feel the need, Midoriya." The man gathered his things as he prepared to leave. "I know this is a big decision… I remember it being one of the hardest I had to make, and I'm still not sure that I made the right choice. So take your time, Midoriya."

The air grew heavy as the boy weighed his options. He approached the window of the room and stepped outside, standing laterally on the brick wall. He paced back and forth on the side of the building. "I can't just not help people… but I can't risk going to jail either, otherwise I'll never be able to help anyone. However, if I wait until the l get my license, then I can't help anyone until then."

As he paced the wall, he came past the window to his bedroom. Looking through the window he saw his torn and burned suit. He recalled the first time he used his powers to save Momo. "What about Momo?" he wondered. "If I hadn't been there, who would have saved her? Would she have even been saved?"

After that, he remembered the USJ, when he not only managed to keep the Nomu busy long enough for Aizawa to rescue the class but also absorbed the final flash of the beast. "What about then? The heroes were too late to save anyone, I was the only one available. If I hadn't been there… I don't even want to think about that."

"I-Izuku?" asked a voice from the window he emerged from.

The boy's heart stopped. "Please don't be who I think you are…" Looking over his shoulder, he saw the same pink mop that he was afraid to see. "Hey, Mei…"

"I see," Mei said. "So now you're trying to figure out if becoming a hero the official way is better than becoming a vigilante." The boy had explained everything that had happened leading up to this decision, minus some "minor" details.

"Pretty much," said Izuku. "Although it was only because I got these powers when I did, that I was able to save everyone."

"That's also true," said Mei. "I mean, you're still saving people no matter what you do. I think that's really what makes a hero, anyway."

"Unfortunately, that's not how the government thinks," replied Izuku. "I think that I might have to give up on Spider-Man, it's too big of a risk right now."

"Well," began Mei, standing up from the boy's couch. "No matter what you decide, I'll stand behind you, Izuku." She placed her hand on the boy's shoulder, only to feel a shock. "Woah!"

Izuku laughed. "Yeah, that's something that happens now too."

"Hey… I meant to ask you… Why did you come over here anyway? A-And how did you get in?"

"Oh, well your key was on top of the door frame… And we have that project due tomorrow."

"P-Project?" asked Izuku.

Mei raised an eyebrow. "You know… the project where we have to design and produce a hero suit for a hero of our choice?

"That's right. I'm sorry, I must've forgotten," Izuku said.

Mei sighed, placing her hand on Izuku once again, resisting his shock. "It's okay, Izuku. I know your mind is going a million miles an hour right now," said the girl. "I'll take care of the project, you focus on coming to a decision."

"Thank you, Mei," said Izuku, looking at the girl in her cross-hair pupils. Mei scanned his face, looking at the scars on the boy's face before tracing to the singular scar that was on his bottom lip. Her eyes darted between his eyes and mouth, not noticing that she was involuntarily leaning forward.

The two's mouths approached each other before a massive shock was emitted from Izuku's shoulder. "Ah!" yelled the girl, ripping her hand away.

"I'm so sorry, Mei!"

"No, no, it's okay," she replied, rubbing her palm on her thigh. "I should be getting home anyway, I need to start on that project."

"R-Right," stated Izuku. "I'll see you tomorrow." The girl grabbed her jacket and left in a hurry. A massive blush crossed the boy's face. "I should take a shower…"

The roar of students once again filled the halls of UA High as another school day had begun.

"This is it," Izuku said, standing outside of the door to Class 1-A. His breathing grew rushed as he thought about all of the pairs of eyes on the other side. This caused his leg to begin to shake.

He groaned. "C'mon… C'mon!" He zapped his leg out of anger. To his surprise, this ceased the shaking limb.

Momo Yaoyorozu watched diligently from her seat as Aizawa introduced a new member of Class 1-A. "He feels familiar," thought the girl. "What's his name again?"

"Deku?!" yelled Katsuki Bakugou from the front of the class. The boy was more attentive now than he ever had been in class. "What the hell are you doing here?!" He stood up from his seated position as he slammed an explosive palm on his desk. An indigo-haired boy cringed at the damage done to the desk.

"He's going to be in the Hero Course, Bakugou," began the teacher. "Or do you have a problem with that?"

"Of course, I have a problem with that!" yelled Katsuki. "He's nothing but a quirkless loser!"

"That's too bad," scolded the teacher. "Not to mention it's just wrong."

"What?" asked Katsuki. "What are you talking about?"

"You'll see," replied Aizawa before turning his attention to the class. "This period is going to be dedicated to finding out just what it is that Izuku can do. Everyone head to the locker rooms and meet me outside in your gym uniforms."

Katsuki approached the door, walking through Izuku as he went to shove him out of the way. He found that it was much harder than it had been to do so in middle school. "Don't think too highly of yourself, Deku. You won't be here much longer."

"Go get changed, Bakugou."

Aizawa held Izuku back as everyone else made their way to the locker rooms. "Hold back out there," said the man. "A lot."

Arriving in the changing room a short while later, Izuku found that half of the boys in the class had already changed and made their way out to the field.

"Hey, Midoriya," began a boy with spiky red hair. "What's Bakugou's problem with you? I've never seen someone tick him off so bad by doing nothing."

Izuku zapped himself. "W-Well," he began. "Bakugou and I went to the same middle school. He would always make sure to talk about how he was going to be the only one in the history of that school to make it into UA's hero course."

"So, he's mad because now that's not true?" asked a yellow-haired boy. "That's so whack!"

"Tell me about it…"

"So, why did he think that you were quirkless?" asked the red-haired boy. "That doesn't seem like something that anyone would lie about, especially not to Bakugou."

"I didn't develop my Quirk Factor fully until a couple of weeks ago," the boy answered.

Izuku removed his shirt, before reaching into his locker for his gym shirt. The class got a good chance to see the boy's scars. "I guess there was some sort of mutation with my quirk factor that halted its development…" Equipping his gym shirt, Izuku closed his locker, turning to leave. It was then that he noticed the two slack-jawed expressions of the boys.

"Woah, Midoriya… how did you get those?" asked the yellow-haired boy. "Even Kirishima here doesn't have scars like that…"

The red-haired boy smiled. "He must've been doing something manly, Kaminari!"

Aizawa poked his head through the door, "Hurry it up in here."

"Aye aye, cap'n!" saluted Kaminari.

After the rest of the boys finished changing, they made their way out to the field, joining the rest of their class. A bubbly pink girl groaned. "It's about time," she said. "What took you three so long?"

"We were just admiring Midoriya's body," replied Kirishima before receiving a punch in the arm from Kaminari.

"Dude, what the hell?" he shout-whispered.

"What?!" asked Kirishima. "We were!"

The girls of Class 1-A raised an eyebrow at this statement. Kaminari sighed. "Dammit…" Izuku couldn't help but chuckle at the scene.

"Bakugou," said Aizawa. He held up a baseball as the class fell silent. "Do you remember what to do?"

"Yep," the boy said, walking up to the home plate of the baseball field. "Don't blink, Deku," he said as he turned to the boy. "You might miss it."

With a tremendous blast, Katsuki threw the ball into the air at an astonishing speed. He smiled in triumph, locking eyes with the boy.

"705. meters," said Aizawa as he showed the class the meter. "Your turn, Midoriya."

As the two boys walked past each other, Katsuki smirked. "Why don't you head back to your pink-haired bitch, Deku? We don't have room for useless bastards like you in the hero course."

Izuku's hair shadowed his eyes as he made his way up to the plate, grabbing the baseball from the man. "Sorry in advance," he said.

"What?" asked Aizawa before watching as green electricity surrounded the boy's arm before condensing in his hand. "Wait- don't!"

A massive gust of wind flew back from the boy as he released the ball into the atmosphere. Along the way, it shattered the sound barrier, creating a shockwave that traveled with it. Izuku glared over his shoulder towards a shocked Katsuki. "How's that for 'useless?'"

Aizawa held the meter up to the class. "1410.4 meters."

Katsuki clenched his fists. "Bastard!" he roared. Charging towards the boy in the air, his palms began to glow and spark. "You think you're better than me now?! Just because you can throw a ball further?!"

Izuku, still seeing red, reeled back his arm, jumping to meet the boy in midair. His arm began to glow green from the inside as small strands of electricity poured from underneath his skin. Before the two could connect, Izuku was wrapped up in some sort of tape.

"Good grief…" Landing between the two his red eyes glowed as his quirk was activated. "This will not become a regular thing, Bakugou. Do you understand me?"

Landing on the ground, Bakugou skidded to a stop as he glared at Izuku. "Tsk, whatever." The look that he gave Izuku told the boy that this wasn't over.

"The same goes for you, Mr. Midoriya," said the man, unwrapping his tape from the boy. "Now, I'm sure that everyone is curious as to what exactly your quirk is… would you care to elaborate?"

Izuku faced the class. "My quirk is Bio-Electricity Manipulation. I can create my own electricity and am able to control it in accordance with my will."

"Woah!" exclaimed Kaminari. "That's just like mine!" He created a small discharge from his arm to showcase his quirk.

"I don't know…" said Kyoka Jirou. "I don't see Izuku acting all loopy." The punk girl snickered at Kaminari's look of defeat.

"That's true," said Aizawa. "That's because Izuku creates electricity non-stop, so he never runs out."

"I really don't think that's true…," thought Izuku.

"Now, for the rest of the tests…"

Izuku went on to dominate the rest of the tests even when holding back as much as possible. Some members of the class were amazed whilst others were saddened by having their records broken. The whole time, however, Katsuki Bakugou was thinking back to their clash. "Why did he wrap up Deku?"

After getting his lunch, Izuku met with Mei at their usual table. "Hey," she greeted. "How was your first day in the hero course."

"Great," said Izuku. "I almost got into a fight with one of my classmates, so that's something."

Mei laughed. "Sounds eventful… So, you think you made the right choice?"

"I hope so," said Izuku. "But I can't really say for sure… Hey, how'd you do on the project?" he asked.

"Great, actually," answered Mei. "Although, Power-Loader only gave me an 'A-' because he didn't like my choice of hero."

"Really?" Izuku asked. "Who did you-?"

"Hey, ya'll," said the voice of Ochako Uraraka as she sat down across from the two. She was joined by Tenya Iida, Momo Yaoyorozu, and Kyoka Jirou.

"Hey, guys…" said Izuku. "What um- what are you doing?"

"We just wanted to get to know you some more, seeing as we're going to be together the next three years of school," answered Momo.

"O-Okay," said Izuku, zapping himself. "What do you want to know?"

"Why is it that you keep shocking yourself?" asked Momo. This caught the boy off guard. "I've noticed you doing that since we were assessing your quirk."

"Oh that?" asked Izuku. "That's because I have trouble talking to people, so shocking myself helps focus my attention elsewhere."

"Doesn't it hurt?"

"A little," said Izuku. "But that's the point. Plus, I can control how strong it is, so it's not really something to worry about."

"Is there… anything else you guys want to know?" he asked.

Ochako hummed in thought. "I got one! Why do you want to become a hero?"

"It was either this or jail," Izuku murmured.

"Jail?" Jirou asked, catching what the others couldn't. "What do you mean 'jail?'"

Mei pinched Izuku under the table. "That's not what he meant, it was just a figure of speech," she answered. "He meant that this was the only path that he saw for himself where he wouldn't feel trapped. Right, Izuku?"

"Y-Yeah!" he exclaimed, feigning a smile. "That's right."

"What about you guys?" he asked.

The six of them continued to talk about their reasons for becoming heroes. While they all had different reasons, they shared the same base: wanting to help people.

"Hey, Midoriya," began Jirou. "You were in the Support Course before this, right? What was that like?"

"It was awesome. But it never really felt right to me. I knew deep down that there was more that I should be doing, more that was meant for me."

"Wow," said Ochako. "That was pretty deep, Deku."

"What did you call me?"

"D-Deku…," answered Ochako. "I heard Bakugou call you that, I assumed it was just a nickname."

Izuku laughed. "It is. It means 'Useless.'"

"Oh, I'm so sorry!" exclaimed Ochako. "I had no idea. You definitely aren't useless!"

Izuku chuckled. "Thank you."

As they finished up their meals, the five of them said goodbye to Mei as they made their way back to class. School let out for the day and Izuku stayed behind to take care of some catch-up classes with Aizawa.

After making up what he had to for the day, Izuku gathered his things as he began to head home, saying goodbye to Aizawa who had left before him. However, before he packed up his things, his Spider-Sense turned his head to the door just in time to see Midnight lock it as she entered the room.

The woman groaned. "Aww… I wanted to surprise you, but you're always so alert, Icchan ." Izuku noticed what looked to be hearts in her eyes as she slowly crept closer to him.

"H-Hey, Midnight-Sensei…," began Izuku. "What uhh- what are you doing?" he asked, backing up as close as he could to the wall. Midnight closed the distance between her and the boy before blocking any escapes of his with her arms, pinning him against the wall.

"You didn't really think that I'd forgotten about you, right Icchan?" she asked. "You're my Vesuvius, remember?"

"Oh… You were serious about that, huh?" he asked, laughing in an attempt to calm his nerves. He watched as her mouth began to approach his.

"Gotta go!" He quickly ducked under the woman's grasp and shot between her legs. His hair brushed up against the woman as she tried to stop him. The woman gasped and dropped to her knees.

"Are you okay, Midnight-Sensei?!"

"I'm so sensitive," said the woman. "I've been saving myself for you… to make our first time that much more special." She stood back up on shaky legs.

"Uh-oh…"

She watched as Izuku attempted to open the door to leave. She darted towards the boy. "I'm not letting you leave this time!" she yelled, tackling him. The well-endowed woman pressed up against the boy. "Come on, Icchan," she moaned in his ear. Her hand traveled further and further south on the boy. "I need you…," she moaned, biting his ear.

"Dammit!" exclaimed Izuku. Using his free hand, he grabbed the woman by her face before kissing her. Lightning surrounded the contact of the two's lips. This lightning wasn't enough to hurt Midnight as it was only meant to overwhelm her. Her grip fell weak on the boy as he maneuvered the teacher under him. While she bathed in pleasure, he sent one final distant shock to the woman below the belt. This threw her over the edge, giving him a chance to escape.

"Ohh… Icchan ," said the woman, shivering as she watched the boy bolt out of the room. "You're my Vesuvius, I can't stop until you erupt…"

Izuku finally arrived home after racing all the way there. He entered his apartment and shut the door, placing his forehead on it as he caught his breath. He sighed. "Hopefully that's the end of that."

Turning around, he noticed a big red present in the middle of his living room. "What the-?" Upon closer inspection of the gift-wrapped box, he noticed a note on the top. "Whatever you choose… -Mei. PS- Hiding the key under your welcome mat isn't a good place either."

He rolled his eyes and smiled as he unwrapped the gift. "A suitcase?"

He brought the case into his room and placed it on his bed. It sprung open as a small stand emerged from the case. On the stand was an all-new Spider-Man suit with the same color scheme as before, the red and white colors of the Japanese flag. "Holy… Mei!"

Along with the new and improved suit were multiple cans of improved web fluid, along with all-new web-shooters. There was another note inside, under the suit. "Personally, I think it deserved an A+ ;)"

Izuku chuckled before trying on the suit. "It's so loose!" he said as the suit hung from his chest. "No way I could have ever used this anyway." As he admired the suit, he looked towards the small metallic spider on the chest. "Is that a button?"

He pressed the button with the palm of his hand, causing the suit to tighten into a perfect fit. "Mei really went all out…"

His eyes drifted outside and to the suitcase. He filled the web-shooters as much as they could handle and placed them on his wrist before jumping outside. He swung from building to building like some sort of pendulum. "It's not as fast as running," he began. "But so much more fun!" he yelled as he swung high into the air. He did a backflip before continuing his traversal.

A strange sound came from the speakers on the inside of his mask. "I see you couldn't resist…" Mei's voice emerged from the speaker.

"Mei?!"

She laughed. "The one and only! How do you like the suit?"

"Well, you definitely didn't get a fair grade."

"Right? Hey, what took you so long to open it?" she asked.

"I don't want to talk about it…" A small warning symbol appeared on Izuku's HUD. "What does this symbol mean?"

"Your mask is connected to local police dispatch radio," began the girl. "Every time that someone calls the police, for certain crimes, you get an alert."

"Well, how do I know what it is?" he asked.

"That's my job," replied the girl. Clacking noises came from Mei's microphone. "It looks like this one is… Woah!"

"Mei? What is it?" he asked, placing his hand on his ear.

"Someone's robbing the bank, right around the corner from you…," said the girl before typing some more. "And they have hostages!"

"What?!" Izuku perched on top of the water tower on a nearby building. "Where are the heroes?"

"They can't get in," answered the girl. "The villain blocked the entrance. He says that if the heroes enter the bank, then he would kill the hostages."

"What about other entrances?" asked Izuku.

"There's a ventilation shaft that leads to the roof," said Mei. "Other than that, there's no way in."

"If only there was someone who could turn invisible as to not get caught." Izuku feigned an 'ah-ha' moment. "Oh wait…"

"This is too public, Izuku," said Mei. "You shouldn't get involved… your face will be all over the front page tomorrow."

"Invisible…," said the boy as he concealed himself from sight.

Mei sighed. "Are you sure this is something that you want to do, Izuku? You know I'll support you if you do, but…"

"I have no idea what I want," answered the boy. "All I know is that this is what I have to do. The heroes nowadays aren't enough it seems."
