Hey guys. Another two parter here. I'm going to make this intro short and to the point. Thanks for the reviews, all rights to Mr. Rick Riordan, and hope you enjoy the story. Bye! :)

Percy

Percy stood outside a warehouse type building grumbling and digging in his backpack. He had stopped by the nearest drug store and purchased some pain killers before heading to the location of Coeus. Upon buying it, he had tossed it in his backpack and continued on. Now it seemed to have disappeared in the folds of his clothes and wrappers of old food. Finally brushing up against it with his hand, he pulled it out.

He popped a few in his mouth and downed them with nectar. There were only a few drops left, but enough. He shook his head to get out his nerves and noticed it didn't hurt much anymore. Grinning a little, he began to assess his other injuries. His ribs still hurt when he put pressure on them, so he kept the bandage on just to be sure. He tried is foot out, and to his disappointment, found out he still needed the boot. His head, while it wasn't hurting anymore, still had a cut in it. He kept that bandage on as well. All in all, the nectar didn't do much for him.

He took Annabeth's backpack and squeezed it in a corner where any on looker couldn't see it. It wasn't that it was hard to fight with a backpack, just annoying. He looked back up at the warehouse. To walk towards the secret hideout of an ancient titan and be confronted with a boring, long building was kinda a let down. It was almost kind of funny. Percy learned about all the myths about ancient all powerful beings, and then when he met them in real life, they were doing modern things. Like Medusa running a garden statue shop or Procrustes running a mattress store. It would be like if Zeus was a weather reporter on the news or if Aphrodite was on a reality dating show. Percy took it back. He could totally see Aphrodite being the host of a reality show.

Shaking his head, he stretched a bit on the wall, massaging his sore spots, and walked inside. It was dim, lit with florescent lights that hung from chains. He was on a catwalk. At the end of the path was a platform being held by ropes. To the right were some metal stairs. Percy was trying to sneak in, but every step was loud and then echoed for several seconds. You would have thought Percy was purposefully making the noise. He figured at this point Annabeth would be shooting him a very annoyed look. Oh how he missed her.

"Who's there." Percy froze in the middle of the path as if the sudden silence would make whoever had called out forget about all the previous noise. He tried to move to a more covered area, but he took one step which echoed down to the floor Percy could not see. It was weird, he thought. He entered ground level, but ended up on a catwalk. Some buildings were weird.

"I know you're there." The voice was deep and gravely. Definitely Coeus. Percy had never personally met him, but all titans sort of had the same evil sounding voice. Except Bob. His voice was smooth. A wave of sadness passed over Percy, but he shoved it to the side. His hands started shaking. Now was not the time! He clenched them as hard as he could, trying to calm his mind to calm his hands.

"I'm coming up." Coeus boomed. Percy dived to the side under a container and hid. The ground clattered, but Percy just hoped Coeus couldn't tell where the noise had come from. His heart was beating rapidly, his hands refused to still. He tried to take several deep breaths to calm himself. He figured when Coeus walked over, he could just stab him through the little opening there was in the shelf. He would then die, Percy could go to his friends, and everyone would live happily ever after. Yeah there was no way that was going to happen.

Coeus came up the stairs and Percy got a good look at him. He was slightly glowing with a bronze-ish color. Percy remembered how Hyperion was gold, and Bob silver. Percy thought it was a big slap in the face to be bronze. Like the universe just decided he was third best. A part of his mind started wondering, thinking about what colors the other titans could be. Oceanus would be blue he supposed and... Not the time!

Coeus was walking closer. Percy positioned his sword with the cap still on to be directed straight at him. All he had to was move closer. Suddenly, Coeus stiffened and looked directly into Percy's eyes. Crap.

"There you are." He knocked the box that was temporarily Percy's ceiling aside like it was made of foam and picked Percy up by his shirt. Percy squirmed, but ultimately made no progress.

"Who are you?" His breath smelled and the volume hurt Percy's ears. He winced slightly. But, for the past however long, everyone had always greeted him with just his name, usually in an ominous and sinister tone. It was a nice change of pace to not be known and hated by someone.

"Uh well I'm Percy Jackson, and you are Coeus. And, since we don't have beef, it'd be nice if you let me down." His tone was conversational, but his heart was a million miles an hour.

"Eh. You're not worth my time." He grumbled and Percy thought for a second he was about to let him go. Well, technically he did let him go, but he let him go flying into a wall ten feet away.

Percy yelled out and felt his ribs rebreak. Just when they were finally feeling normal again. He gasped for air for a second and tried to roll over. Coeus, probably thinking Percy would get back up and try to kill him, was slowly making his way over. Percy struggled to get up again. A painful reminder of the castle and crawling towards his last chance at escape, but unable to get up. Escape. Maybe he could still escape. This was clearly a very costly mistake to come here.

He pulled himself up by a box next to him, feeling the broken pieces of his ribs shift under his skin. He gritted his teeth and tried to limp towards the exit. Coeus stepped in front of the door.

"You don't break into my home and just get to leave scott free." His eyes were glowing an unnatural color.

"Not much of a home bro." Now would be the time to shut up, but Percy could never do that. "I'll make you a deal. You let me go, and I'll never bother you again." He was clutching his chest, finding it hard to breath.

"Oh I'll make sure you don't bother me again." Coeus took a menacing step forward. Percy's insides were screaming.

"Don't like that tone man." And he bolted. He ran up another set of stairs and immediately regretted it. Oh his chest. He was even higher off the ground now, probably about fifty feet. Why did this place go so far down. He limped to the other side of the walk and cursed. There wasn't another staircase, he had trapped himself.

"No where to run." Coeus was smiling. It put chills down Percy spine. That was exactly what the empusai said when he was cornered in the room. It made his blood boil. No way he was going out like this. There was no way he was going to die when he was this close. He desperately tried to think of a plan. Suddenly one came to him as quickly as he had flown into the wall. It was so stupid, so simple and one hundred percent going to fail. But, it was all he had.

"All right, fine. I give up." He tried to put on his best acting face and look disheartened. Coeus, not the brightest, grinned. He started charging, sword out. Percy stood and waited for death. He was fifteen feet away, ten, eight, five, two. Percy took a deep breath and pre apologized to his poor ribs who could not catch a break and jumped off to the side. Immediately, he heard yet another crack and rolled, groaning in so much pain.

He heard the trip over the rail and then the horrified scream as Coeus plummeted over. He heard the sickening thud as the body hit the floor and then the hissing of the sand being spread all around. Percy managed to drag himself to his feet once again and limped to the railing. He peered at the pile of sand nearly fifty feet below.

"Seriously?" He felt astounded. There was no way his stupid plan had worked. "That's it? You're not going to reform and come back up here? Don't have some secret army hiding around the corner? You just tripped over a railing? That's it? I'm done?" There was no way it was the easy. Yet, the pile of sand didn't move. Neither did any other secret soldiers hiding in the shadows.

"Huh. Will you look at that?" He held a long blink and laughed a small laugh. Suddenly, out of nowhere, Theia came hopping towards him.

"He's dead! Ha ha! Oh heck yeah he's gone! Aww Pheobe is gonna be so happy! Oh thank you Percy, thank you! I knew you could do it." She cackled. Percy blinked again, still feeling as if he was only half way through the fight.

"I didn't really do much."

"Well he's not really bright. For the titan of insight he's pretty dumb. He's like a bull. Maybe that's why he's such a jerk all the time. Because he sucks at the one thing he's supposed to be good at." Theia shrugged.

"Well, I guess you want to head towards Carthage now." Theia looked at him. He nodded fiercely.

"Is that where they are? Seriously? Wait I need my backpack. Wait a minute, am I really about to see them? Like, actually?" His thoughts were moving too fast for his mouth to say words. Theia giggled.

"Well yeah. They're all kinda all over the city right now. Long story, but they're all trying to get back to the ship. Maybe you can beat them." Theia laughed at Percy's expression and snapped her fingers.

Percy felt lightheaded for a second and his vision went black. When it returned, he was alone on a long stretch of road leading to a city. Percy's heart was beating heavily. They were really there. In that city. He was really about to see them. He laughed a hysterical laugh and felt tears prickle his eyes. He did it. He went from in Tartarus to being this close to his friends, a task everyone thought was impossible.

They must all think he's dead. It was hard to swallow. What would he even say? What words would be fitting in this situation? What would Annabeth say? His heart hammered. He was really about to see Annabeth. No illusions, no tricks, he was really here. A lone tear slid down his face. This was really about to happen. And then he heard the sirens.

"You've got to be kidding me." He groaned. The sirens was just a quick little one, but enough to signal that the cop was pulling over. He really didn't want to deal with cops right now.

"Hey kid, are you okay?" The cop sounded scared almost. Percy realized how he must look. Alone on the side of the road, hunched over, clutching his chest, bloody, holding his backpack like it was dear life.

"Yeah no no I'm fine. Seriously, I'm fine." But the car pulled over anyway. The cop opened the door and stepped out to help him. Percy couldn't help but notice that the keys were still in the ignition. A terrible though came over him, but he needed to get to the city. At least before they left. Guilt ate at him before he even did it, but he pushed the cop over and jumped into the front seat. His ribs screamed at him along with his consciousness, but he put it into drive and started speeding away. The cop's yells faded into the background.

"Oh wow I'm about to get in so much trouble." His palms were sweating. He glanced in the review mirror and saw the cop get smaller and smaller. It was almost funny how with everything he had done, he gets scared for breaking the law. He shook off his nerved and pushed the gas some more. He was heading to the city. He was heading to Annabeth.
