The Power of The Quirkless Ch 17
Don looks at his phone seeing that it was the middle of the night he lay back onto the couch and fell asleep. The next day Don woke up and asked for the whole LOV to come to the warehouse one by one they all arrived sitting around a table, they were all talking with each other until Don got up from his chair "alright since we are here I think its time I tell all of you why you are all here" Don walks around the table while he talks "now I have put some thought into this and I think we should split our efforts".
The LOV look confused "I propose that we split the LOV into 2 different groups for different areas of Japan" he stops behind Midoriya's chair "one group will be active in the lower half while the other group will work in the top half" Dabi looks around the table then asks "so who is going to be in charge of the groups?" Don nods and walks to the head of the table "well should we put it to a vote?" Don looks at the LOV which they all nod in agreement. the LOV vote on 2 leaders the top 2 being Midoriya 4 votes and Don with 2 (a couple voted for themselves). Midoriya and Don get up from their chairs and bow to the LOV. the pair look walk around the table and stand beside eacother and discuss the groups.
Don turns and points at: Toga, Dabi, Mr Compress and Magne "you will go with Midoriya, Plashi, Jadori, Suca and Spinner will stay" Twice raises his hand "what am I doing then?" "Twice you will be still on recruitment duty for us so you may go wherever just make sure to update me" Twice nods. The new group form up near the entrance but before they go Don hands them a list "these are the locations of abandoned warehouses that you can use as safe houses" Midoriya nods and they leave.
Don walks back over to the table with the remaining members there "ok while they do their thing at the top half we will be gathering information on a couple of heroes mainly Endeavour, Best Jeanist and some others, after we get some more dirt we are going to take over a TV station and deliver all of it on air". Don walks over to Suca "I need to ask you a question" Don turns to the rest "the rest of you train yourselfs these heroes are very powerful" Jadori and Spinner go off to spar and Plashi trains on her morphing ability.
Don leads Suca away from the group into a separate room that looked like it belonged in an office "so boss what do you need?" Don walked over to a desk "are you afraid of needles?" Suca yawned "nope" Don nodded "good" Don walked back to Suca with a needle in his hand "I would like to extract some of your blood I will only do this if I have your permission" Suca shrugged "sure go ahead" Suca rolled up his sleeve and Don took some blood from Suca.
Don looks at the syringe "ok this should be enough" Don then pulls out a knife and slices down his palm and empty's the syringe of newly extracted blood onto his hand. Don smiled as his wounds started to heal up and after a couple of seconds it didn't even look like his hand was cut Suca stood there stoneface "so you don't mind blood I guess it's a prerequisite for this kind of work". Don looked up from his hand "yea I just wanted to test this ok keep this under wraps I don't want anyone else knowing your quirk works like this not even other members don't want people worse than us hooking you up to some machine".
Suca shrugged "sure boss, anyway are we going to continue the hand to hand training" Don nodded "just wait outside ill be there in a minute" Suca walked out of the room and Don seeing that he left walks over to a wall and presses in a bit of a wall revealing a hidden safe *I need a better place for all of this crap* Don opens the safe door revealing 5 small metal devices the size of a hand and the shape of a cylinder.
Don puts the syringe into the safe *I need to take a bit more I don't know what might happen* Don picks up one of the devices *this should suffice while I get info on these heroes*. Don covers the safe back up and leaves meeting up with Suca "hey a little bit of a change to our usual training* Don puts the device on the ground and its sends out a blue laser scanning the area around them, a tiny beep came from the device and a blue version of Don rose from the metal cylinder.
*thank god they work i haven't used this since working with Hatsume* Suca looked at the blue Don walking around it "so am I training against a hologram?" Don nodded "yea I just have some business to deal with so for a while you will be training with this and don't worry you can hit it and vice versa." Don walks away leaving Suca to train against the hologram and arrives in the main area and sitting on the couch.
Don opened his phone calling Twice "Hey twice you got anyone new?" "Yea boss I have a new recruit but he said he would find me next week because he had no time" Don rolled his eyes "Ok well did you get a name?" "no we didn't yes I did Kai Chisaki" *Chisaki why is that name so familiar* "Uhh boss you there" Don shook his head a bit "yea yea just keep me updated" Don hangs up the call and sits forward on the couch with his hand in his chin *Chisaki I swear I have heard his name before*.
While Don is in deep thought a knock could be heard at the front door snapping Don out of his trance and looks around seeing everyone else is busy he gets up to open the door. The door keeps getting knocked over and over again "alright I'm coming just stop knocking" Don puts on his mask and opens the door seeing Toga in a UA outfit *why is she here, in that of all things?* "Oh its you come in" Don lets Toga in and closes it cautiously.
Toga walks over to the table sitting in a chair near the middle and smiles at Don, Don kept his mask on and walked behind Toga "so the mission was successful then?" Toga nodded "yep they don't expect a thing" *oh an imposter playing as Toga funny lets see how much they even know* Don sits beside Toga and looks at her face "so what do you think about the plan?" Toga looked slightly surprised for a second but kept her composure "well I like it but i don't know if we could take down Allmight" Don smiles under the mask *ok that's all i needed to hear*.
Don activates his blue aura grabbing Toga by the collar with his left hand pushing her chest on the table, grabbing a knife with his right hand and putting it up to her throat " I will give you one chance lie to me and you will die who are you?" Toga had a face of surprise and fear on her face "ok ok no need to be so rough" a click is heard and a shimmer covered her body slowly revealing long pink hair and yellow eyes.
*wait a minute* Don realising who it was quickly put his knife away and let go of her "how did you find me Mei" Don pulls off his mask looking at her with a straight face, Mei has a sigh of relief "it's you Don thank god I thought I ran into a thug" Don sits in the chair at the end of the table "so are you going to tell me how and why are you are here" Mei collects herself "I got a ping that one of my devices were activated out here and you were the only person I gave a device like this to".
Don gives a slight smile "I should have known you would have chipped those so I'm guessing you want them back?" Mei shakes her head "I'm not here for that I can make those in my sleep I came here to ask you a question" Don motions her to sit down at the other side of the table and she sits down "so what is it you would want to know" Mei pauses for a bit which Don notices as it is unusual for Mei to pause as she is so confident.
Eventually, Mei speaks "Why are you doing this I know your time as a vigilante but cant you complete your goal as a hero?" Don sighs "here's why" Don pulls out a couple of photographs and gives them to Mei who looks through them all her expression turns bleak, she sees the pictures taken by Toga depicting a room in UA which had a couple of rooms with 1-way windows, shackles and Midoriya in one of these rooms his face bloodied and bruised "these were pictures taken when I freed my best friend who sacrificed his body to stop All for one now you tell me villain or not does anyone deserve that?".
Mei looks at the pictures in disbelief "these cant be real there is no way they kept him" Don slams his hand on the table causing Mei to jump in her chair "they did more than that they tortured him for information" Don was surrounded by his red Aura but it quickly simmered down "I'm lucky I got there so soon or else they might have done irreversible damage to him, they think just because they are heroes their work is justified it's clear they are abusing their power".
Don calmed himself down a bit and sat back in his chair "don't get me started on the fact they are essentially making child soldiers and disguise it as education" Don looking over the table could see the face of doubt on Mei *hmm maybe I can make a new spy* Don leans over on the table "Let me guess everyone is treating you different because you were my friend before I left" Mei looks slightly ashamed nodding slowly "yea they did that to me with Midoriya look I won't ask you to join me in this but I will ask if you are having a hard time come to talk to me I'm here for you".
Don feeling like he made the conversation awkward coughed getting up from his chair "its pretty late you might want to go back before they start asking questions" Mei smiles awkwardly "yea good idea bye!" Mei leaves as quick as she can and after she leaves Don notices a black Cat by his legs. Don kneels down and whispers "you will tell no one of what you saw you hear me" the cat transformed into Plashi and she motions a zip on her lips.
"good now continue training I'm going out for a walk" Don changes into causal clothes and goes out into the town he does not cover or obscure his face with anything and just walks around buying food but keeping an eye out for heroes which proves to be a good idea as he spots someone tailing him down a busy street *hmm I wonder who you are let's see* Don turns down an alley and starts climbing up a small building.
Don gets on the roof of 3 story building and sits on the edge waiting for whoever was following him it does not take long for the person to appear. Don heard someone behind him so he got up and turned around to see the person following him the man was wearing a brown jacket, slightly baggy brown trousers with a yellow visor, black boots/gloves and massive red wings. Don smirked "ah Hawks correct your getting very popular nowadays" Don walks over to the middle of the roof while Hawks was staying near the edge.
Hawks looks forward with a serious face "so are you the Emote kid you don't look special to me" Don put his shopping bag down "well I heard you like to brag about your speed so lets put that to the test" Don puts his hands behind his back and Hawks got one of feather blades and rushed Don with a quick swing of the feather blade. Hawks had a smile on his face as he went in for the attack but that smile quickly fades as he watches Don glow purple.
Don activates his purple aura dodging Hawks attack and jumping away "well Hawks that did not look to hero like having a smile when trying to cut a person down" Don said in a condescending tone which annoyed Hawks more than Don originally thought and so he went to attack this time with 2 feather blades swing multiple times. Don saw this coming and attempted to dodge the attacks with his purple aura but he was not successful getting slashed on his arms and legs *is this his true speed!?*.
Hawks kept swinging his swords getting many slashes on Don "Kid testing my speed was a mistake!" Don watched Hawks attack pattern and when he saw his chance he would take it. Don kept dodging and tried his best to find an opening but couldn't Hawks was just flat out too fast and was starting to make Don scared *I need to focus level my breathing and don't get carried away by the adrenaline just like Stain taught me* Don slowly started to calm down actually getting more accurate at dodging Hawks more and more until eventually the world started to move in slow motion.
*huh so this must be the max potential with this combination of aura's I mean I have only done this one other time,right time to teach this sadist some manners* Don moved his hands to disarm Hawks taking him by surprise and throwing him across the building. Hawks was sent rolling to the ground but he recovered getting up and looking pissed missing one of his swords but Don was standing there with the feather blade getting a feel for its weight.
"How did you do that you little gremlin?" Don swung the sword in the air "well it helps to be trained by stain now I am giving you a warning leave or suffer the consequences" Don ready's himself for any more attacks but none come Hawks puts his feather blade away "I can see that I can't win and there arn't any heroes close enough to help so this will be a too be continued" Don nods "fine but im keeping the sword" Don quickly grabs his groceries and runs with the sword.
Don makes sure to go down multiple alleyways and going into the sewer to make sure the heroes cant follow him *well that was almost really bad but this means I cant just walk around freely with no disguise to be honest I shouldn't really go outside since im one of the heads of the LOV now*. Don waited in the sewer for half an hour leaving it and going to the hideout *well I guess this is the right time to test out the blood thing see if it heals a lot of cuts or just the one* Don arrives at the hideout walking in seeing the rest of the members sitting on the couch.
They all notice the cut marks on his arms Plashi and Jadori run up and ask "what happened?" Don pulled out a feather blade "a certain hero tried to kill me so I took one of his swords" Jadori asked to see the sword while Plashi looked at Don's wounds. Don gave the sword to Jadori and walked on away "look im fine the cuts are not deep anyway when your done with the sword leave it here all of you can go for the night".
Don continues into his office room locking the door behind him so no one can get in he then walks over to the piece of fake wall and opens it and the safe grabbing the syringe of blood *well here goes nothing* Don drips a drop of blood on his left arm and it started healing all the cuts on that arm *hmm this is very potent I shouldn't use too much so the effect stays the same* he does the same on the other arm and puts it back in the safe.
Don walks over to a chair and table and he sits there thinking *Chisaki I swear I know the name maybe seeing him will jog my memory. Regardless I need to start getting info on some heroes and unfortunately Hawks he is number 2 right behind Best Jeanist on my list.* while Don was making a plan to get his information he hears the front door open and close *well I should get my new sword but first*.
Don walked over to his safe and picked up one of the metal cylinders *I need to be careful* Don activates the cylinder and slides it into the main room after a couple of seconds Don then opens and walks to find the sword but before he could even look around a feather blade pierced his back straight through his chest he turned his head slowly blood dripping from his mouth seeing the twisted grin of Hawks.
Authors notes:
So as much as I want to do something with Izuku and the rest of the LOV I feel like it would make sense for the group to split their efforts to different parts of the country but dont worry they are not written out of the story they are doing their own thing I'm just struggling to have something for the whole group to do.
Don's powers
RED – Enhanced Durability and strength
BLUE – Enhanced speed and stamina
PINK – enhanced reflexes and reaction time
BLACK – currently extreme speed
