Malon, Talon, Saria, Esmeralda and Festari had made their way to Hyrule Castle Town, two horses attached to the cart. Malon was driving with Festari, Saria and Esmeralda still in the back and Talon was snoring away.

"Should we head straight for the castle?" Saria asked the Minish man.

"You can do that," Festari responded. "Just drop me off at the library, first."

"One problem," said Saria. "Where's the library?"

Saria looked around at the hustle and bustle of the town, without knowing a thing.

"Don't worry! I know!" Malon offered. "I've visited this town enough to know a few things."

Malon pointed to a building with a blue sign on the roof, also with a doorway leading to the upper roof.

"That's brilliant, Malon!" Saria complimented.

"Now, to get to Hyrule Castle, you need to get to the back of the town. You can't miss it," Malon explained. "And if the guards won't let you in, climb a tower to the right of them and sneak past the rest."

"How do you know all this?" asked Saria.

"Link once got passed all the guards as a kid and woke my father up so he could find me," Malon explained further. "My dad told me everything. He doesn't deliver to the castle anymore because of that."

"Well, we'll head for the library and then the castle," Saria told her.

Good luck, Saria!" Malon bid the sage good bye.

Malon watched her go before turning her cart in another direction.

"Let's get going to the library!" Saria exclaimed.

"What do you mean you're Link's grandpa?" Mido interrgated the old man.

"Well, the rest of Link's family currently live in Termina because his father got a better job there, but I stayed behind to watch over him," the old man explained. "My name is Smith. I'm a sword smith."

"How original," Redo retorted.

"What's a grandpa anyway?" asked Mido.

Everyone turned to stare at him.

"What do YOU mean?" asked Redo.

"A grandpa is a father's father," Sodo explained.

"How do you know that?" asked Mido.

"Link!" all three Know-it-All Brothers said at the same time.

"He DOES look different from other grown-ups," Mido pointed out.

"I am an OLD man, after all," Smith told them. "How old are you kids?"

"We don't know," answered Lado.

"Time passes by in the forest without any warning," Sodo explained. "The years blend together. It's hard to keep track."

"Ah. And just what do you think you're going to do once you find my grandson?"

"Well," began Sodo. "Saria, our friend and sage went after Link to let her be there used as a translator. We'll have to get her back, then one of us will have to go as one. One of us would have to take Saria's place,"

"Well, Kokiri Forest needs a leader so, I can't-," Mido was interrupted.

"YOU aren't the leader!" Sodo said. "Saria is."

"But-" he was interrupted again.

"I WILL GO AS A TRANSLATOR!" Sodo announced.

"Didn't you basically say we'd go together last night?" Lado said with a frown.

"I need you to be safe," Sodo insisted.

"Why does Link need a translator, anyhow?" Redo. "Can't they just draw a circle in the dirt where Link is supposed to go?"

"Maybe there's a reason for that!" Lado said as his fairy blinked above his head. "Maybe Link can't is to see what the Minish are doing, too!"

"Well, I think you'll be just fine, kids," Smith assured. "Just stick to the path, go to Hyrule Castle Town, then go back home. It shouldn't be too much trouble."

"Thanks," said Sodo. "We probably needed those upgraded weapons anyhow."

"Yeah! So, Sodo can help Link!" Lado yelped.

"Let's just go," said Mido.

"Don't you want the rest of your breakfast?" Smith asked.

Each boy besides Mido looked rather hungry. Lado's stomach growled.

"Fine. We'll eat, THEN we'll leave," Mido decided.

"Yay!" yelled Lado.

Saria and Festari stood right outside the library.

"Are you sure you'll be okay on you own?" Saria asked Festari as she placed him on the pavement.

"I'll be fine," Festari answered. "I may be small, but I'm a big guy."

"Then I'm off to see Link!" Saria called behind as she walked away.

"Well, I don't see why I have to work with another guard, Cable," one guard said to the other at the castle entrance.

"Well, Holt, you DID get into trouble for letting a kid pass by the gate for chump change," the other said back.

"But that was years ago! And it turned out to be Link, our hero!" Holt argued.

"You didn't know that at the time!" Cable argued back.

Then both guards heard a voice and a girl all dressed in green headed towards them.

"Excuse me!" she said. "My name is Saria. I'm the Forest Sage of Kokiri Forest and a friend of Link. I'm here to see him."

"Hold it, kid!" Holt began. "The Kokiri never leave the forest! You can't possibly be a sage! You're just trying to cause some trouble!"

"Wait, Holt," said Cable. "Maybe she's telling the truth. I mean, she's all in green and her hair is green, too! It even looks like she has a fairy!"

"Cable, I won't get in trouble for letting in more sneaks! That fairy is probably just some toy!"

"Suit yourself," Cable warned. "But when you do, I'll say it was your idea."

"Guess I better climb the tower." Saria whispered to herself.

Mido and co had arrived at Hyrule Castle Town.

"Where's Saria?" asked Lado.

"I don't know," answered Mido. "She's probably at the castle. But just in case, we should split up to find her and the little man."

"Link said the castle is behind the town," Redo explained.

"Then I'll go there!" Mido announced. "The rest of you are on your own!"

Mido left for the castle.

"Where do we go?" Lado asked his brothers.

"Well, I'll check that building over there," he said as he pointed to a building with a blue bed on the front sign, another entrance in the back, and an entrance on the roof with an empty chest.

"You can check there," he pointed Lado to a building with blocks at the entrance, little doors for the Minish no one could see except the boys, a shrinking pot, which was used as decorations for the non-Minish on the roof and also an empty chest on the roof.

"And you can check there," he pointed to Redo to a building with person on the the front sign, a library book sign on the roof, a shrinking pot on the roof, and tiny steps for the Minish leading to the roof.

"Ready?!" Sodo announced. "Let's go!"

Sodo ran to the building to begin his search.

"He's always sooo fast!" Lado remarked.

Redo crossed his arms. "He's not THAT fast,"

"Well, let's go!" said Lado.

Lado ran, but not as fast.

"Whatever." said Redo before walking away.

Holt and Cable were standing around bored when another kid all in green came up to them, again.

"Not another one!" Holt declared.

"I, the Great Mido demand entrance to see the Fairy-less Link!"

"Well, 'the Great Mido', Link is too busy at the moment," Holt warned. "Come back when you're older."

Mido ran towards Holt with his arm stretched out, but Holt used his own hand to stop him.

"AAARRAGH!" Mido screamed.

"No need to throw a tantrum, kid," Holt advised.

Mido snapped his fingers.

"I need back up," he said to himself.

Mido left.

"You need to work on how to deal with kids," said Cable to Holt. "And your people skills in general."

"Mind your own business," Holt quipped.

Sodo had arrived at the bed on the sign. Inside was a woman at a desk with an outfit that matched her blonde hair.

"Welcome to the Happy Hearth Inn! I'm Emma!" she announced with a smile. "Would you like a bed?"

"Sorry, but I'm not tired right now, and my brothers would need their rest at the same time, anyhow," he said as his eyes wandered around the room.

"So, people pay to sleep here?" he asked.

"Yup!" Emma answered. "That's why I call it a inn, after all. You also will find a Kinstone Piece in a chest in your room when you wake up."

"What's a Kinstone Piece?" Sodo asked.

Emma looked at Sodo with wide eyes. "You don't know about Kinstone Pieces?!"

"Nope," Sodo admitted.

"They're little stones the Picori hide for us to find. If you find two and put them together, you can have good luck. But you need a map of Hyrule to find the good luck on it." Emma explained.

"Who are the Picori?" Sodo asked.

"How can you not know that either?" Emma asked further.

"It's a long story," Sodo said. 'I should keep this a secret from non-Kokiris.' he thought.

Then Sodo heard a voice and spun around.

"They're little people the size of a human thumb," said a lady all in green with a green dress, green eyes and green pigtails. She was carrying a book. "They can only be seen by children and only if the Doorway to the Minish Realm is open every hundred years."

"'Only seen by children'." Sodo repeated. "I think you are right, but also confused."

"Oh?" the girl said as she turned her head. "What makes you say that?"

"No reason," Sodo said as he tried to hide.

"Well, I have plenty of Kinstones I get from sleeping overnight here. In the morning, I fuse them with my sisters, they find the good-luck items, then fuse more the next day. Fusing Kinstones are my liveleyhood."

"You mean your job?" Sodo asked.

"Exactly!" the girl said as she pointed in the air.

"I wish I could have Kinstones," Sodo admitted.

"Well, I need them, but I also have an extra Kinstone Bag and a map of Hyrule to go with it. You want them? And a green Kinstone Piece to go with it?"

"Yes. Very much so," he said, elated.

"Good!" said the girl. "I'm Farore, by the way."

"You were named after the goddess? "Sodo remarked in surprise.

"So that's something you DO know!" Farore said with a grin.

Then two other girls walked in.

One was in a red dress with red eyes and red hair that went down to the floor.

The other was all in blue with blue eyes and blue hair and a blue dress.

The red girl had a golden staff with red and green markings.

The blue girl had a harp with golden strings attached with feathers, a blue jewel and red and blue sides.

"These are my sisters: Din and Nayrue," Farore explained. She pointed at the other girls as she said "Din" who was in red and at the girl in blue she said, "Nayrue".

"Making new friends everywhere you go, huh, Farore?" spoke Din.

"You didn't tell someone the secret again, did you?" Nayrue asked.

"No, no! I didn't this time! I swear!" Farore defended.

"You better," Din pressed. "Let's take you out for lunch now, okay?"

"Sounds good," said Farore. "Have a nice day, um. What's your name?" she addressed Sodo.

"I suppose I could just give out my name,'" Sodo thought. "Sodo. It's Sodo."

"Well, goodbye, Sodo. Maybe I'll see you again," Farore waved goodbye.

Lado wandered into the building Sodo had picked put for him. What he saw was several desks and a woman all in purple with a red tie in her purple hair with red glasses..She held a stick in one hand and a piece of chalk in the other.

She turned around to face him.

"What are you doing here?" she asked. "Are you a new student?"

"What's a student?" Lado asked.

"Don't be silly! Now, go outside and play with the other students in the courtyard. Dina is out there supervising. I'm Tina, by the way. Dina is my sister."

So, Lado went outside.

There was another woman there. She had her hair in a red band like Tina and carried a stick, only she dressed in red and gold trimming and had green hair.

"Are you new here?" she asked. "Never mind. What is that glowing yellow thing floating around your head?"

"Oh. It's my fairy, Fo" . Lado answered. "She comes with me everywhere, but I guess she wad behind my back."

All the small children gathered around. They began asking questions.

"Who are you?" "Where are you from?" "Can I have a fairy, too?"

Lado began answering them all. Every last one of them.

Then he realized something.

He probably shouldn't say anything.

"Um. I gotta go!"

He decided to run away.

"Don't leave yet!" Dina called. "The day isn't over!"

Lado ran.

Right into Tina.

"Rescces is ovet. I'm taking you to your seat." she said.

All the kids went ,"Oooh!" and Lado didn't know why.

Both teachers went to the board and the students took their seats.

"Today we are going to work on learning the sages of Hyrule. The one from Kokiri Forest is called, 'Aria'. Dina explained.

"No its not!" Lado corrected. "Her name is 'Saria''!"

"Let me check the text book," Tina said as she did.

Fiddling through the book, Tina's eyes grew wide behind her glasses.

"He's right!" she exclaimed.

The children gasped.

"Well, now that that's settled, you get a Kinstone Piece. At Funday School, instead of getting a gold star, you get a Kinstone Piece. You're too old for adventuring now, but when you can, you can get treasure and good luck for them!"

"Cool!" Lado said.

A clock on the wall chimed at the hands being at 3 and 6.

"NOW you can leave," Tina allowed.

"Gotcha!"

Lado put the Kinstone Piece in his pocket and went to find his brothers.

Redo had made it to the building with the book sign hanging above.

At the counter were two ladies. Each had brown and blonde hair.

"Welcome to the Royal Hyrule Library!" the brunette said. "I'm Maggie and this is Paige. Are you returning?"

"Or are you taking a book out?" asked the blonde. "And don't stand there. I have all day, but I don't want to deal with it."

"I guess nothing. I can't read," Redo admitted.

Both women exclaimed, "YOU CAN'T READ?!"

"Nope," Redo responded.

Then Redo realized he needed an alibi.

"My parents were too poor to send me to school. I've been studying and they finally saved up enough rupees for it. I start today,"

"How about a dictionary, than?" Paige offered.

"I don't know what that is, but sure. I'll take it!"

"Then follow Mr. Sturgeon upstairs. He knows the way." Maggie explained.

An old man in green and brown with a long flowing beard and staff appeaed behind the counter with lightning-quicked speed. He motioned for the boy to follow him and then ran in the opposite direction.

Redo followed after, as fast as he could. "This guy's almost as fast as Sodo!" he thought to himself. "Almost."

Festari had climbed all the way to Librari's bookshelf and met a Town Minish in silk blue clothing, something vastly different than what the Forest Minish wore.

"The name's Tempori. In case you were wondering why I'm named after tempora, it's because that was what my parents were having for dinner when they had me. Go figure," he said flatly.

"Is Librari hear?" Festari asked.

Tempori motioned with his hand and Festari climbed up a nearby book.

There he found a Minsh in yellow clothing.

"Nice to meetcha!" the Minish said. "I'm Librari's apprentice, Jotori! Librari is such a good teacher, and funny to boot! He's in that book over there!"

So, Festari went into the book where Librari resided. He knocked on the book which had a door on it.

"Come in!" called the voice of an old man.

Festari walked in and saw a man who looked just like Elder Gentari, only his robes were blue and his staff was a cucco's feather.

"It's so nice to have visitors. The only ones around here are usually Tempori and Jotori. Sometimes a Janitori comes to clean up, though,"

"Really?" Festari asked.

"Nope!" Librari laughed. "Gotcha!"

Then the door opened and someone walked in.

Festari turned and saw Gentari.

He appeared to be wearing borrowed clothes from Librari. However, he kept his needle-and-thread staff.

"Don't you know by now people don't like your jokes?" he asked his brother.

"Well, Jotori loves my jokes!"

"Um. Gentari? Festari gently interrupted. "It's nice to see you, again. Why are you dressed like that? And how did you get here so quickly?"

Gentari stopped short. "Sorry, Festari. It's good to see you, too. I didn't have to stop anywhere. My clothes were all messed up from traveling so far for so long, though."

"Would you like a change of clothes, yourself?" asked Elder Librari.

"Well, I-"

Librari grabbed Festari and motioned towards a back closet.

"Here! I have a change of clothes from Jotori!" Librari said as he handed the clothes over.

"Why Jotori?" Festari questioned.

"Uh. Never mind. Just try them on!" Librari said hastily.

Librari left and Festari put the new outfit on.

Festari came out all in yellow, which was a stark contrast to his priestly robes.

"I left my other clothes in the closet," he told Librari. "It hope you don't mind."

"That's fi-" but Librari was interrupted.

"Hehehehehehehehe!" called an evil laigh.

All at once, the ground shook.

"Oh, no!" Librari cried. Someone's checking out my book house!"

"I'm here for the two other Fortune's Cap books! They must be destroyed!" a booming voice demanded.

"Who are you?!' Librari asked.

"That's Vaati," Festrai explained. "He's the one trying to take over the Minish! Even Hyrule!"

"Isn't it enough that the third book was destroyed?!" Librari complained out loud.

"Nope!" Vaat's voice boomed further.

"Nonsense!" Librari cried. "We have dozens of copies of the book right in here!"

"What are you saying?!" Gentari argued.

Vaati spied a blue cushion on the ground.

"Not for long!" he said.

Vaati climbed on top of the cushion, concentrated, then turned small. The smallest he could get.

Then he raced up the bookshelf, much to the surprise of Tempori and Jotori.

"Who was that?!" Tempori asked.

"At least Librari's book is back," Jotori pointed out.

Vaati pounded on Librari's door.

"Open up!"

"Not by the hair of our chinny-chin-chins!" Librari grinned.

"COULD YOU BE SERIOUS FOR ONCE?!" Gentari shouted.

"Why? Didn't you say he was a wind mage?" Librari said.

"Here comes a wind energy ball!" Vaati called outside the house.

Librari waited for a second. Then said, "Come in!"

Vaati ceased fire, letting the flame fiz out.

Vaati gave a smirk. "Surrender, eh?"

"On one condition:" Librari haggled. "Stand right there!"

Librari pointed to a spot on the now messy floor.

Vaati was confused, but wasn't stupid.

"Why?" Vaati said as he stared at the floor.

"It's where I keep my crown!" Librari explained. "I only wear it sometimes. It's for the Minish leader of Hyrule Castle Town."

"Hehehehehehehe!" Vaati cackled. "So, I've won! And I didn't even have to defeat Link!"

Then he stopped on the spot on the floor.

Librari raised his staff and slammed it on the ground.

Vaati fell.

And fell.

And fell.

"Looks like you've 'fallen' for one of my traps!" Librari called from the top of his book house.

"No cushion," Vaati said to himself. "And I can't reach them from here."

Vaati fond some water nearby.

"Guess I'll have to swim out."

"Wow, Librari!" Festari exclaimed. "You fought Vaati and won!"

Librari stood in triumph.

Gentari rolled his eyed. "He'll be back."

Then, just as quickly trouble left, more trouble came.

The book house shook once more and flew into the air.

"Not again!" Gentari cried.

Sodo and Lado met in the center of town near a fountain.

"Hi, Sodo!" Lado said as he greeted his brother.

"Hello, Lado," greeted the other brother. "You'll never guess what I have!"

Lado and Sodo each got out their Kinstone Pieces.

"Let's put them together, now!"

They were about to put them together when someone stopped them.

"I can't believe this!" Mido said as he appeared..

"What happened?" Sodo asked.

"I.-I wasn't invited. Apparently, I'm too important to be allowed in,"

"Riiight," Sodo said with sarcasm.

"Hey, where's Redo?" Mido asked.

Saria was still busy trying to get into the castle. She was hiding behind some hills when she was startled by a man in green. He had a cap and a mess of blonde hair. Not a child. A man.

"It's YOU!" Saria cried.

Holt and Cable were still busy guarding the castle gate when the someone in a green tunic with a green hat and blonde hair and Saria approached.

"Why did you two not let Saria pass? She's one of the sages and happens to be a good friend of mine!"

"We're soo sorry!" Holt whimpered.

"HE thought he was just another kid!" Cable complained.

"Forget it," Link said as he pinched his nose. "Just don't let me catch you doing something like this, again! Or else I'll tell Princess Zelda."

"Pfft. 'Princess Zelda'! She asks like she's the queen!" Cable scoffed.

"DO NOT INSULT THE PRINCESS!" Link boomed.

Both Gable and Holt shook in her armour.

"Now, has anyone else passed by here that looks like Saria?"

"W-Well, one," Cable admitted. "The kid called himself, 'The Great Mido'."

Saria was taken aback. "'Mido'?! He's here?! But why?!"

"I'll take you back to the castle," Link said to Saria. "Then I'll fetch Mido."

"But I want to see Mido, too!" Saria said. "Take me with you!"

"Hyrule Castle Town is a big place," Link explained. "I don't want to lose you. Now here,"

Link got something out of his bag. "This is something Zelda gave me a while back. It's her official handkerchief. Her favor. It can get you anywhere you need to go. Present it to the guards to get by."

Link was leaving, ready to leave Saria alone with the two guards.

"B-But Link! Come back!" Saria begged. "There's something you should know! It's the reason I came here!"

Link stopped short. "Yes?"

And so, before Link left, Saria explained everything.

"You two!" Link boomed.

Holt and Cable stood to attention. "Go guard the Door to the Minish Realm! And tell every guard you meet there on your way!"

The two guards ran off, no longer shirking their duties.

"Everything is fine," Link assured Saria. "I don't need a translator. I'll find another way to save Hyrule like I always have. But first, I'm going to take you both home. Now, go see the princess."

Saria wanted to argue, but stopped herself.

There would be no arguing with the Hero of Hyrule.

"I sent Redo over to that building over there," Sodo told Mido as he pointed to the library.

"Then let's go there!" Mido ordered.

A man in green appeared behind them.

"LINK!" the other three boys called.

"I heard everything from Saria," Link explained. "Just not about why you other THREE are here."

"Saria? Is she okay?!" Mido demanded.

"She's with the princess," Link explained further.

"'The princess'? What could she possibly be doing with the princess?" Mido asked.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

A lady, royal, in purple, gold and white stood tall. She and Saria were in the throne room which had three chairs. The lady refused the third, smallest throne which was her's.

"So, he left you with me, right?" the woman asked. "Off on an adventure of his own?"

"I'm so sorry to be a burden, Princess Zelda," Saria apologized.

"Don't be!" Zelda bid. "After all, you're a sage, and ruler of Kokiri Forest!"

"Thank you, Princess," Saria tried to act with elegance.

"And call me 'Zelda'." Zelda said.

"Zelda," Saria repeated.

"Well, as long as we're here, let's have a girl's day out!" Zelda spoke with purpose. "Just let me pass an order over to my Minister. We need to protect our Door,"

"The what?" Saria asked.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

"Before we do anything else, we should go out and buy you some new clothes," Zelda suggested. "You can keep your old ones, but for now, you need new ones because your old ones are grimy from travel. Oh. But before we go, I need my own change of clothes."

Zelda lead Saria to her chambers, then told her to stay outside and wait.

Then a man came out of Zelda's room, all in white and blue and had a picture of a red eyeball with a red tear coming down. A small mess of blonde hair stuck out from a wrap around his face.

"Zelda?!" Saria asked in surprise.

"'Sheik'. As long as I'm dressed like THIS, you must call me, 'Sheik'."

Saria ignoreed anymore questions she had. It had been a strange day.

Zelda took Saria out into Castle Town. They found their way into a lovely dress shop.

"More dresses for Princess Zelda, Sheik?" a woman with a hat full of feathers asked.

"Yes, but today, I have another customer, to boot. I'll take a woman's size in whatever she gets, "Zelda said as she showed the woman Saria.

The woman was taken aback. "I see. Perhaps something familiar?"

The woman lead the two to a rack of clothing. A green cloak with lots of pockets was there.

Saria, Esmeralda and Zelda all made their way to a hot spring.

"The three of us must separate, because we can't share the baths," Zelda explained. "But they're for everyone, so I'll be in the bath next to you in case of emergencies."

Saria relaxed and enjoyed herself.

Soon, though, it was time to get out.

Zelda and Saria got into their clothes.

"Now, before we go, you must know to not allow a man or woman or anyone to boss you around, Zelda advised. "Take it from me-I have to sneak around all the time, and I still get trouble! Just because I'm a princess! Just because I'm a woman!"

"I try. But I'll try harder,"

Saria and "Sheik" headed out to find Link and Mido, then.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

"Well, let's go back to the castle and get Saria!" Mido said.

"Maybe I can help?"

Everyone turned to find Redo had returned.

"Look what I've got!" he said as he pointed to his arm and then his hand. "It's a book! I got it from what they call a library over there. It's also a dictionary. Apparently, it tells you what lots of words mean."

"Ahem!" Gentari said.

"Oh, and these three are Minish," Redo explained as he rolled his eyes.

"One of us can help you with reading that," Festari offered.

Lado squinted. "Wow! I've never seen a Minish before!"

"Hi, Link!" Festari greeted.

Link didn't notice.

"Oh. I forgot you can't see or hear me," Festari said. "Redo?"

Redo nodded. "Festari said 'hi'. And Gentari and Librari are here, too."

"Oh. Well good to see you you three!" Link spoke awkwardly. Then he snapped to attention. "You all need to go home. Right now! I'll get Saria, you'll all go home together-and in fact I'll escort you there-and then you'll be safe. The Minish will stay in the castle."

Then a woman in tight-fitting blue and white clothing, white hair and red eyes jumped down from a tree.

"Link! I've been sent by the princess to tell you she'll be here, soon but to not look for her. She's busy primping."

"'Primping'?" Link repeated. "Huh. She always struck me as someone too tom-boyish to do girly things."

"Really? Because I always thought she was more girlly than most girls." Impa said in confusion.

Then "Sheik" and Saria appeared from behind the same tree.

"Oh, Zelda, you're here!" Link said in delight.

Mido shook his head back and forth. "Who's that guy? Where's Zelda?"

"Hi, Mido," Saria greeted.

Then she looked around.

"And everyone else,"

Then a short, balding man with glasses in red and blue with a mustache ran towards them.

"You may leave, now," Zelda bid.

Impa threw a Deku nut on the ground and it made a crackling sound and a bright flash of light.

The mustached-man took a bit to collect himself.

"Sheik! Where is Zelda?!"

"Not again!" Zelda said with a snap of her fingers. "But you know, Zelda only runs off all the time because her royal duties are far too boring and tedious to do."

"I know you feel that way, Sheik, but I am her tutor and I decide her studies. Now, please help me find her! Oh, hi Link!"

"Hi," Link spoke flatly.

"Please help us find Zelda, " Potho asked. "We need our princess."

"Right," Link lightly agreed.

"Zelda listens to you, Sheik," Potho said to "Sheik". "Goodbye!"

Potho returned to the safety of the castle.

"Sheik's" red eyes shifted around.

"Let's go in that alley over there," "he" said.

"Oh, no!" Mido argued. "You're not going to trick us that easily!"

"Yeah, that's my job!" Redo butted in.

Link smiled. "Come see,"

Deep in the darkness of the alley, the group headed.

A Deku not was thrown and then Zelda appeared in all her splendor.

Only, she was now all in green-One with a hood and extra pockets.

"Who is she?" Lado asked Link.

"She's Zelda. Dressed in green. But why?"

"'Why'? Because I'm going to help you, that's why." Zelda explained. "I can see that the gang's all here. In this case, I am coming with you. We'll split up. You and the four boys and I and four girls. All from Kokiri Forest. We'll have one Minish to each group. Unless there's less or more than them."

Link frowned. "Zelda you can't-"

"Excuse me? I'm the princess and I say what goes goes. Well, mostly," Zelda said, using her power.

"Exactly!" Link said. "If you come with us, I'll tell Potho. I'll tell your father!"

"Then I'll go as Shiek! And don't be telling them that Sheik and I are the same person. They'll never believe you."

"I suppose I have to obey you, Zelda," Link conceded.

"Um. There's one thing I forgot to mention," Festari cut in. "I read it once from Ezlo's library. You need a staff and a special Minish nut to get bigger or smaller. And still, you must be together to get to a convient size. I don't have a staff, but I can give the other two elders some nuts I collected. The Woods are so fascinating!"

"Looks like Gentari and Librari will be the ones to help you," Sodo told Link.

"Then in that case, Festari will have to stay behind. In case anyone from Minish Woods comes here for help." Link decided.

"We'll have to have the two leftover Minish read these books I found!" Redo said as he handed over two, tiny books.

"Good. Now, before we leave, I need something. Follow me. We need to return to the castle, one last thing before we go."

Vaati laughed behind his hiding spot in a tree.

"Good luck on using that precious item," he said to himself. "I'LL be the one to take it from you. Oh, what's this?"

The group made their way to a garden in the castle grounds. The guards did not question either Link or "Shiek" or the children they had with them as they made their way around.

Zelda and Link lead the children to an open door.

"I ordered the best guards in the kingdom to guard this place before we left," Zelda told everyone.

"I sent two of the guards here, as well," Link told her. "Although they're not as good."

Zelda and Link were taken aback as they entered.

All the guards, five of them, were pinned against a wall by wind energy balls. Even Minister Potho was pinned.

"Forgive me, Sheik!" Potho lamented. "I tried."

"Guards, help the Minister up. And yourselves, too. Go to the infirmary. We'll take care of this!" Zelda promised.

Link approached with his sword and cut them free. Zelda got out a bottle.

"It's a potion. This should help," Zelda said. "There. Now, go find Impa and if you can't find her, find the king!"

"Now, let's go!" Link bellowed.

The gang rushed into the magical doorway.

"What is this place?" Mido asked.

Zelda turned and, with a scary voice, "The Door to the Minish Realm,"

They saw everything, but, sitting in the and middle of a hole in the ground, a sword was missing.

"The Four Sword!" Zelda lamented. "It's gone!"

"What?" Mido asked.

Link gripped his hand tightly around his own sword. "The Four Sword. It's different than my Master Sword. The Four Sword can split your soul into two."

"Then let's test that theory out, now!" Vaati said as Link heard from behind.

Only he was invisible, i on Minish form.

Link raised his sword in the air and Vaati slashed back. Link hit Vaati with a laser beam. Vaati hit back with his own. Vaati pushed Link back until Link got his foot stuck in the hole where the other sword was supposed to be.

Sodo rushed to Link's side and helped to push him free.

"There he goes!" he said as he pointed to where Vaati was.

"There!" yelled Lado.

"Enough!" Vaati said "Time to split into four!"

But nothing happened.

"But. But."

Zelda grinned. "I thought this might happen. We had a spell to turn The Four Sword into The One Sword."

"Well, no matter! I can find a way to turn it back. Till then!"

And then Vaati took out a Deku nut and disappeared.

"I guess Vaati found a Deku nut from a tree somewhere," Zelda said.

"What now?" Lado asked everyone. "I mean, Vaati has a really cool sword!"

"Not as cool as MY sword!" Link told him.

Um. There's one thing I forgot to mention," Festari cut in. "I read it once from Ezlo's library. You need a staff and a special Minish nut to get bigger or smaller. And still, you must be together to get to a convient size. It just so happens that I have a few nuts from a special tree. They were just too fascinating to pass up."

"Looks like Gentari and Librari will be the ones to help you," Sodo told Link. "Minish-wize, anyhow."

"Then in that case, Festari will have to stay behind. In case anyone from Minish Woods comes here for help." Link decided.

"We'll have to have the two leftover Minish read these books I found!" Redo said as he handed over two, tiny books.

"Yes, Gentari and I will have to translate the words from Ancient Minish to New Hyrulian," Librari offered. "In fact, let's start right now!"

Librari got out a big piece of paper from his pocket. He placed his quill-staff on the ground and a tiny ink pot.

He wrote on the ground.

But it disappeared.

And it wouldn't turn up.

"What's happening?" Link asked.

Festari checked the back page.

"'To make this book use without quirk,

Thou must read and repeat thy words'.

"Looks like you have to constantly read and reread to use the book," Festari concluded.

"Darn. And I thought I only needed shrinking powers." Link grumbled.

"There's more," Festsri continued from the front of one of the books. "But I can only make out 'Forest' and 'Woods'."

"But there's only one woods and one forest in all of Hyrule."

Link beamed. "Let's split up the work. My group will get the woods and your group-Zelda-will get the forest. I mean, Vaati was after the Minish there, before."

"Agreed," Zelda said. "Let's go to Kokiri Forest, Saria. Oh, and don't worry about us needing protection. We'll stop by your grandfather's on the way there."

Zelda and Saria left the alley, Zelda in her Sheik outfit. Librari was with them.

"Now, why did you let Saria go like that?!" Mido spat.

"She'll be fine, Mido," Link said without worry. "There's only some places that the Miinish live in. And the book is old. The places are old. They're probably going to go to the wrong places."

Mido tried to speak, but nothing came out. "Fine. But first, I need to give something to Saria. Something I almost forgot."

Mido ran after his friend. "Saria!"

As soon as Zelda and Saria were in Hyrule Field.

Zelda cracked a nut and turned back into a green-clothed princess.

"Why did you do that?" Saria asked. "You told Link you wouldn't."

"I didn't mean I would ALWAYS be Sheik. Being a princess and being a hero both have their benefits."

Mido appeared, chasing after them.

"Saria! Saria! I have something for you!" he called.

"Darn it!" Zelda said before cracking another Deku nut.

"Saria! I need to give you this!"

Mido pulled the present he had worked on out from under his hat.

"Oh, Mido! I love it!"

"Really? I thought so! Remember how Link dropped it in the castle moat and got the princess' instead? Well, I thought you might need a new one. Now that we both have each one, we can talk whenever we want!"

"Thank you, Mido! Thank you for the ocarina!"
