"A great beast you say?" Sakura winced in pain as she rubbed her butt from her fall. Sakura had scratches all over her arms and legs no thanks to her sleeveless red qipao dress that reached her upper thighs. She patted herself down to help with the fall.
"Has the world already forgotten about the Great Owls?" The owl cocked it head to the side it's green eyes pierced through her soul.
"Great Owls? Sakura pondered for just a moment. Being a book worm Sakura remembered a name in the text books she had studied. Namihazure. The mother of all owls.
"Namihazure?"
"That is the name of one of my children." The owl cocked its head to the side. "Quickly heal me before your friend stirs further from her sleep. "
Sakura grunted in agreement moving closer to the owl. The noise from the hit could have awakened Temari. A great beast can't heal itself?
"Watch your thoughts, child." The words racked through Sakuras brain painfully. Who is this bird calling a child? I'm almost 23! Though Sakura was shocked at the invasion in privacy and stood gapping. "You can hear my thoughts?"
"I have many talents. They can be of much use to you. I know you have the power to do so. Heal me, before your friend wakes up. Do not make me repeat myself again." The owl fluffed it's feathers enough for Sakura to see a stab wounded with the kunai knife with a damp seal wrapped around the portion visible.
Sakura's body moved as if it followed the owl's command. She breathed in to focus breaking a deal will not be easy. Her hands glowed green as she touched the owl.
After an hour of concentration the seal had carefully been removed from the owl and the healing process complete. The owl fluffed it's feathers once more. Sakura stood squatted next to the owl leaning back on her heels with a sigh of success.
"For your assistance I will give you my name, young one. It is Jogi Hiko" The owl turned toward the kunoichi bit her right on her inner thigh where she had wrapped her legs in white trimmings.
"OUCH! THIS IS HOW I GET REPAID?" Sakura grimaced in pain as she reviewed the spot where she was bit expecting blood to be pooling from the spot. Instead nothing stained the white trimmings though a burning heat could be felt from that spot.
"We playing in holes now?" Temari stood at the edge of a huge hole that Sakura was perched at the button of. "Is this a new tradition in the Hidden Leaf that I've never heard of?"
Sakura confused looked around. The owl was gone. Vanished in air and the sun had started to set. She had been in this hole all day. Wasted her whole time she was supposed to be resting on a bird that just vanished.
"Did you see anything-," Sakura stared at Temari's blank face, "never mind. Just working on a little training. " Sakura huffed out.
Temari stretched. "Well! Training over! I'm refreshed and ready for travel. You can rest on the way." Temari stretched her arms and legs. Then pulled a scroll from her hip. Opening it she summoned a gigantic folding fan with three purple moons on it. "All aboard to Suna!"
