Last Time, Ash, and the gang had a crisis, as Thundurus, and Tornadus were wreaking havoc across Milos Island, so they split up into groups, Iris, and Lewis went to call for Landorus' help, while Cilan, and Ash distracted Thundurus, and Tornadus, Landorus is successfully called down, and quickly puts an end to Thundurus' and Tornadus' mayhem, but then Missile comes in with his Bisharp, and takes out Landorus, and attempts to steal the legendary trio by using Jessie, James, and Meowth, Ash, and the gang try to stop that from happening, but can't do much, Lewis gets an idea to give Landorus some Revival Herbs, so he, and Gothorita go to get some, but Missile's Gothitelle tries to stop them, it fails, and is knocked out, Lewis gives Landorus some Revival Herbs, and he defeats Missile, and his Bisharp, Team Rocket then run away, and Ash gets rewarded with a bunch of Revival Herbs, and is now ready to face the Driftveil City Gym.

"Alright, Driftveil City Gym, here we come" Ash said, bursting through the hotel door, looking as ready as ever.

"Finally" Iris said walking out. "I know it's only been a day, but it's felt like a couple months since that crazy legendary battle"

"Well at least that's all behind us now" Cilan said, coming out as well. "It feels nice to finally be out on this grand day"

"Well, what are waiting for then, let's go!"

Ash, and the gang headed over to the Driftveil City Gym, but got some lunch first.

'Oh boy, I wonder if Ash is gonna choose me' Oshawott said, eating a sandwich. 'I haven't been in a gym battle since Nacrene City'

'Well I hope he doesn't choose me' Sandile said, eating a bowl of pokemon food. 'Last time didn't go so well, I think I'd better get stronger'

'Aren't you gonna say something Oshawott?' Emolga asked.

'Say what?'

'You know say something like, oh yeah you better, or, because you need to, or something like that' Emolga explained.

'What I would never, well not now, me, and Sandile are buddies now' Oshawott said.

'But don't you two still fight with each other?' Emolga said.

'Yeah, but it's more of a friendly way now' Sandile explained.

'We've realized that we're both around the same strength, so we have no reason to argue about who's stronger' Oshawott said.

'Well, what happens when one of you evolves, and the other doesn't' Emolga asked.

'I mean, it's not like I'll be jealous or anything' Oshawott said. 'Because we all know I'll evolve first'

'Uh, no I will, and you would definitely be jealous' Sandile said.

'You've only been here for a couple weeks, I've been here since the beginning!' Oshawott argued.

'And I say I've done a lot more than you in my time' Sandile argued back.

'Oh dear what have I done' Emolga said in panic.

Oshawott, and Sandile began fighting, and caused a ruckus, eventually Ash, and the gang got kicked out of the restaurant they were eating at, and had to cut lunch short.

"Well, I guess we better go the gym now" Cilan said.

"Yeah, Oshawott, Sandile, get in your balls" Ash said, disappointed.

'This is all your fault' Sandile said.

'You started it!' Oshawott said back.

Ash, and the gang eventually reached the Driftveil City Gym, and met with Clay.

"Clay, we've got those revival herbs for you!" Ash said, running in, revival herbs in hand.

"About time, it felt like forever, even though it's only been a couple days" Clay said, he then took the revival herbs, and with ate them all, with one big chomp.

"Really all that work for this?!" Iris called out in shock.

"I guess even gym leaders do weird things" Cilan said, bending down, laughing.

"Mmm, nothing like a good delicious revival herb to brighten up my day" Clay said.

"Do I at least get to challenge you?" Ash then asked after all the commotion.

"Yeah sure, come on in" Clay led Ash, and the gang into the gym, it looked a lot more like a mine then a gym, with jutting rocks from the sides, and minecarts, and mining equipment strewn all about. "The rules are simple, four pokemon are allowed for each trainer, and there is no switching out allowed"

"Alright let's do this" Ash said, ready to battle.

"Crustle, your up!" Crustle hit the ground with a thud.

"Rufflet, I choose you" Rufflet was sent out with a fierce attitude.

"Battle begin!"

"Crustle, use Stone Edge"

"Dodge, and use Wing Attack"

Crustle fired it's sharp stone daggers, but Rufflet dodged, and struck it with Wing Attack doing some damage.

"Use Smack Down"

"Counter with Wing Attack"

Crustle leaped up, and slamed Rufflet down to the ground, but she struck back with another Wing Attack.

"Rufflet use another Wing Attack"

"Block it!"

Rufllet went for a Wing Attack, but ended up using Slash instead, cutting through Crustle's defense, and doing some hefty damage.

"Sweet, you learned Slash"

"Crustle, Rock Blast"

"Uh oh, dodge it!"

Crustle shot out two rocks, both hitting Rufflet doing massive damage, she could still fight though.

"Come back with a Slash"

Crustle got struck with Slash again, this time doing critical damage.

"Crustle use Stealth Rock"

"Dodge, and finish this with a Slash"

Crustle set up Stealth Rocks, just before being defeated with one last Slash.

'Great job Rufflet!' Axew called out from the sidelines.

'Thanks Axie!' Rufflet called back.

"Crustle return, alright, let's go Krokorok"

"Okay Rufflet, go in with a Fury Swipes"

"Krokorok use Dig"

Krokorok dug underground, before Rufflet could Fury Swipe it, but dig can't hit Rufflet, so what now?

"Krokorok, Sandstorm"

"Sandstorm, underground?" Iris questioned.

"Clay is planning something big alright" Cilan analyzed.

"Rufflet can you see in there?" Ash called out, a massive sandstorm was making it hard to see.

"Krokorok Stone Edge!" Out of nowhere a bunch of Stone Edges struck Rufflet multiple times, knocking her out.

"Ah man that's so cheap"

"That's called strategy"

*sigh* "Okay, Rufflet return, Oshawott, come on out!" Ash sent out Oshawott, looking as confident as ever.

'Alright, let's do this, whoa, whoa!' Oshawott said, before being inturrupted by incoming stealth rocks. 'Jeez that was close'

"Hehe pokemon trying to dodge Stealth Rocks are always so funny" Clay mocked.

"Careful Oshawott, it's hard to see"

'I can see that, or I guess I can't heh'

"Alright let's get started, Krokorok Bite"

"Dodge, and counter with Fury Cutter"

Krokorok lunged towards Oshawott, and tried to bite him, but he dodged, and struck back with a super effective Fury Cutter.

"Dig undergroud, and use Stone Edge"

"Careful Oshawott they could show up anywhere"

All of a sudden a bunch of Stone Edges came at Oshawott, he tried dodging some, but they were too hard to see through the sandstorm, he got hit here, and there.

"Oshawott get a hold of yourself, clear the way with Aqua Jet"

"Stay on guard Krokorok"

Oshawott used Aqua Jet and flew all around, not only clearing away the Sandstorm, but also striking Krokorok dead on.

"Nice, strike it with Fury Cutter"

"Block it!"

Oshawott struck again with a powered up Fury Cutter, doing massive damage.

"Retaliate with Bite"

"Dodge it, and counter!"

Oshawott dodged Krokorok's bite, and struck it down with one last Fury Cutter.

"Great job Oshawott"

'No problem'

"Hmm, well you got two down, but let's see if you can handle this! Palpitoad go get 'em"

Palpitoad came in with a deep croaking sound.

"Alright let's do this, Fury Cutter"

"Dodge, and use Scald"

Oshawott cut at Palpitoad, but it dodged, and shot searing hot water in his face.

'Ah, HOT HOT HOOOTTT!'

"Oh no! Now his physical moves are weakened"

'And I'm in terrible pain, oh Arceus I think it's in my eyes, oh why?!' Oshawott said in agony.

"Palpitoad use Rock Smash"

"Oshawott, dodge it"

Oshawott narrowly dodged Palpitoad's Rock Smash, and he regained his composure, the scald still stung though.

"Use Sludge Bomb"

"Slice it with Fury Cutter"

Palpitoad spat out a Sludge Bomb, but Oshawott sliced through it, hitting Palpitoad in the process.

"Quick, another Fury Cutter"

"Dodge it"

Oshawott sliced Palpitoad again, and did some damage.

"Palpitoad, use Toxic"

"Dodge it!"

'Dodge what?!' Oshawott said, before getting a face full of Toxic. 'Dah, first a Scald, and now this? You have got to be kidding me'

'Poor uncle Oshawott, that must hurt' Axew commented on the side.

"Oshawott, get a hang of yourself"

"Use Scald once more"

'Oh no you don't!' Oshawott not wanting to get Scalded again, did a critical Fury Cutter, knocking out Palpitoad. 'Ugh finally, can I be swapped out now!?' Oshawott begged.

"Sorry Oshawott, rules are rules"

'Oh come on'

"Well, you've gotten this far, but I'm afraid this one will be your last, Excadrill finish this!"

Excadrill came into the battle.

"Excadrill, Horn Drill now!"

"Oshawott dodge it!"

Excadrill charged forward towards Oshawott.

'Well, I think I've been through enough' Oshawott said, before getting slammed into a wall, when the dust settled, he was fainted. 'Just return me already'

"Okay, Servine I choose you!"

Out came Servine, who got struck by incoming Stealth Rocks.

'That's not how I wanted to start to start this battle, but okay'

"You may still have two pokemon left, but that don't mean you'll win, Excadrill X-scissor"

"Block it with Aqua Tail, and use Swagger"

Servine blocked Excadrill in it's tracks, and used Swagger.

'A little too edgy don't you think?'

'Heh look who's talking'

Excadrill powered through, and instead of becoming reckless, just became stronger.

"What!?"

"Heh, you really think my Excadrill would become angry at a mere comment, you just made it stronger"

"Uh oh"

"Excadrill, Brick Break"

"Dodge it!"

Excadrill slamed Servine, sending her flying.

"Servine use Leaf Tornado"

"Dodge, and counter with X-scissor"

Servine fired a Leaf Tornado, which hit Excadrill, but it came back with an X-scissor.

"Excadrill Rock Slide"

"Try to dodge, and use Aqua Tail"

Excadrill sent down a bunch of rocks, some of which hit Servine, but she got through, and slammed Excadrill with Aqua Tail.

"Horn Drill, now!"

"Oh no!"

Excadrill retaliated with a powerful Horn Drill, sending Servine careening towards a wall OHKOing her.

'Not how I wanted that to end either' She said sliding down.

"Oh no, Servine got knocked out" Iris said from the sidelines.

"That means Ash only has one more pokemon left" Cilan said. "And if it faints, then he loses"

"Who will he send out, Pikachu can't do a thing, and Whirlipede doesn't fare much better, so that leaves"

"Sandile, I choose you!"

'Doh, I do not want to be here right now' Sandile said, reluctant to fight.

"Alright Excadrill X-scissor"

"Dig to dodge"

Sandile dug underground just before Excadrill got the hit on him.

"Now go under, and Crunch!"

"Look out below!"

Sandile lept out of the ground, but not before Excadrill leaped up into the air.

"Now slam down with Brick Break"

"Uh oh, try to block with Stone Edge"

Sandile formed some Stone Edges around him in attempt to block Excadrill, but it powered through, knocking Sandile back.

"Try to hit it with Stone Edge"

"Block with Brick Break"

Sandile fired some Stone Edges, but Excadrill destroyed them all Brick Breaks.

'Damn it, if only I was stronger' Sandile said to himself.

"Come on Sandile, you got this!"

'Yeah, I do got this!' All of a sudden Sandile could feel a new strength in himself, he felt himself getting taller, his stance becoming upright, he also felt dark all of a sudden.

"What's happening to Sandile?" Iris asked.

"I think, he's evolving" Cilan said, intrigued.

"Whoa Sandile you evolved"

"Nice Krokorok you got there kid, but even with it's evolution it still won't win, Excadrill, Horn Drill"

"Dodge it!"

Excadrill charged towards Krokorok, but he leaped up, and struck it with Brick Break!

"Nice, you learned a new move!"

"A super effective one to boot, nice to have a challenge, X-scissor now!"

"Dodge, and retaliate with Brick Break!"

Krokorok dodged Excadrill's X-scissor, and smacked it back with Brick Break.

"Give it a taste of it own medicine, Excadrill Brick Break!"

"Dodge it!"

Krokorok got hit back with Excadrill's own Brick Break, but it was still left standing.

"Strike it with a Crunch!"

"Block with X-scissor"

Krokorok went for a Crunch, but was instead struck with an X-scissor, doing massive damage.

"Go for another Brick Break!"

"Dodge it!"

Despite being weak, Krokorok hit Excadrill into the air with yet another Brick Break.

"Enough messing around, finish this with Rock Slide"

"Jump up, and finish it with Brick Break!"

Excadrill now high up in the sky, sent a barrage of boulders down at Krokorok, Krokorok jumped up, and up on some boulders, and smashed through some, and when he eventually reached Excadrill, he slammed it back to the ground with one final Brick Break.

"Excadrill is unable to battle, Krokorok wins!"

"Alright! Great job Krokorok!"

'Heh, never doubted myself' The croc said smugly.

"Great job Ash, that was amazing" Iris said, coming up.

"I don't know how, but you always seem to have such great finishers" Cilan said, coming up as well.

"Well done kid, you actually had me on my toes for a bit" Clay congratulated.

"Thanks, you were quite tough yourself" Ash complimented.

"Well, here is the Quake badge, proving that you have indeed beat the Driftveil City Gym" Clay said, giving it to Ash.

"Yeah, I just got the Quake badge!"

Later in a hotel room…

'Ha, I knew I would evolve first' Krokorok boasted, most of everyone was gathered around.

'Uncle Sandile's uncle Krokorok now' Axew said, excitedly.

'And he learned Brick Break!' Rufflet said. 'Whatever a brick is'

'I think humans use it to build or something' Deino said.

'Oh, does that mean you can break houses?' Rufflet asked Krokorok.

'I don't know, probably though' Krokorok said, enjoying the attention.

'I'm glad you evolved man' Pikachu then said. 'Though I do wish Ash used me'

'Well he did go up against a ground type gym' Dwebble cut in. 'And electric doesn't do so well against it'

'I'm glad I didn't get chosen' Whirlipede said. 'I mean did you see how that Excadrill destroyed Servine? No offense'

'None taken' Servine said, kinda disgruntled.

'It's okay, happens to the best of us' Emolga reassured. 'Besides you totally rocked Elesa's gym'

'Yeah I guess you're right, and plus I think Oshawott got it the worst' Servine said, pointing towards Oshawott who was holding an ice pack.

'Bleh, I still have the taste of Remeyo weed in my mouth, and I can't feel my face, I think I have frostbite' Oshawott said, before lying down on his face.

'Ha, I guess I did evolve first after all' Krokorok said, sounding rather dickish.

'Shut up, we have a truce remember! After all we're still the same strength' Oshawott said, standing up.

'Not anymore, not with my evolution' Krokorok said.

'Hey guys, stop the fighting, I'm trying to sleep' Excadrill said from the other side of the room.

'Yeah! Stop waking up uncle Excadrill' Axew then said.

'It is getting pretty late, we should all rest now' Pikachu said.

'Yeah Oshawott' Krokorok then said. 'Stop fighting so we can sleep'

'You bastard we were supposed to have a truce!' Oshawott said back.

It was gonna be a long night, and a long time before Oshawott, and Krokorok's rivalry were to end.

Hey it's me! Pokemonster444, it's been like what 2 months, 2 months 1 day, that's how long it has been since I updated this, wow. Okay I wanted to say sorry for the 2 month hiatus, I know I said I would've uploaded at least once a week, but uh, look how that turned out. Anyway I've been away mostly because, of burnout, and laziness, but now, I think I'm ready to start trying to uploading regularly again, it may not be once a day like a couple months ago, but I'm gonna be trying to upload as much as I can at least.
