Chapter 18
Students were in train to Hogwarts.
Hadrian was sitting with Hermione, Pansy and Luna in one compartment. His other generals were sitting in other compartments.
Pansy: "What is it that is bothering you my lord?"
Hadrian: "Sirius Black"
Pansy: "Isn't he traitor friend of your parents?"
Hadrian scoffed: "yeah that one"
Hermione: "what you want us to do"
Hadrian: "Just gather all information about him"
Pansy and Hermione nodded. Luna was thinking something. Hadrian didn't bother to ask her, knowing she will inform him if it's something worth his attention.
Suddenly the compartment started getting colder.
Hadrain came out of door and shouted: "Inform everyone to stay in their compartment and lock their doors. It's Dementor attack."
Whoever was outside compartment looked Hadrian's icy gaze and started working what was ordered.
Hadrian: "Those of you who can't cast Patronas come with me, rest go help others."
Cedric and Hermione ran towards other compartments as only they were able to cast Patronas among his generals. Others stood behind their King. Once they reached towards last compartment they sees Dementor was about to attack a girl.
Hadrian looked at Dementor and said in their language: "I, Hadrian, Prince of Darkness and Demons order you to go back from where you are coming or I will destroy you"
Dementor: "We don't follow orders from anyone. We don't fear Demons or their Royals"
Hadrian growled.
Hadrian looked towards his general: "Everyone holds onto me."
Generals didn't understand what their King was doing, but they know from voice that it's serious business. They did as asked.
Hadrian in Parsel tongue hissed:"Expecto Patronas Multy assulum"
A Dragon came out and breathed fire. From his fire 8 different animal came out which destroyed all dementors except one. Everyone gasped at sudden tingling of magic
Hadrian again in Dementor language: "I am letting you live to Inform your kind stay away from school or you all will be destroyed"
Dementor flew fast in fear.
The girl who was about to become Dementor's victim: "what was that"
Daphne came forward: "That is power of our Slytherin King Astoria, beyond any one's imagination. Now go back to your compartment and eat some chocolates."
As everyone left, there was this man standing with shocking expression: "What did you do?"
Hadrian: "I did what you were supposed to do: Saved students. By the way are you new professor?"
Professor: "Professor Remus Lupin your new DADA teacher. Hello Hadrian"
Hadrian just rolled his eyes: "I'm tired, going back to my compartment to have some sleep."
When he returned back Hermione asked: "Who was he?"
Hadrian: "Dumbledore's new pawn and our new DADA professor. One of my parents and Sirius black's best friend. Remus Lupin"
With that Hadrian closed his eyes for quick nap.
At Hogwarts it was usual business of sorting first years. Then at end McGonagall announced about Smith which got sorted in hufflepuff, he went to sit on hufflepuff table and in eye contact Hadrian nodded. Using Zacharias family influence he took his 5th OWL during summer at ministry considering him home schooled. He passed so he is placed in 6th year. After usual dramatic speech Dumbledore introduced Lupin.
In Slytherin Common room, Theo delivered same speech at last year but this year there was not a single student who did any argument. Finally they got things in their thick heads.
Hadrian: "As your King, I want every Slytherin to follow orders and rules mentioned by Theo. Meeting dismissed."
As they left Hadrian ordered Theo to call general meeting of fangs of Shadows tomorrow morning. There will be quite a few announcements to make.
As business in Dungeon ended, He walked towards Headmasters office. This time he wanted headmaster to focus somewhere else, so he has to manipulate the master manipulator again.
Hadrian: "Hello Headmaster"
Albus with twinkles: "Hello Hadrian. What brings you here without my request? I must say you surprised me. Lemon tea?"
Hadrian shook his head: "I wanted to inform you that I am in sixth year now and I claimed my Lordship though I believe you know it already."
Albus:"that I do my boy"
Hadrian: "I wanted to ask you favor to put wards so no student with Dark mark can enter in building. I don't want death threats in safest place"
Albus taken aback by sudden affection: "I am working on it. It should be complete by Sunday so before the term classes' start."
Hadrian: "Thank you. During this summer, I was in black library when I found one very interesting letter which I thought I should bring to your notice"
Albus: "Can I see it?"
Hadrian shook no: "It was enchanted so it burned automatically when I completed reading it"
Albus: "I see. So what was in it?"
Hadrian: "It was from Regulus Black. He said he figured out about Dark Lord's secret when he got Locket. He tried to destroy it many different ways but didn't achieve success. After many failed attempt he changed his tactics. He performed one blood ritual to link all objects which contain same soul. Destroying one of the objects will destroy all of them. But this ritual doesn't bind any living creature that has Dark Lord's soul part. It was some blood ritual which coasted him his life."
Albus with curiosity in voice: "You are claiming that by destroying Diary, it also destroyed other horcruxes as well. Correct me if I am wrong."
Hadrian playing along: "I am not claiming anything; I am saying it's what was written in letter. I asked Portrait of Lady Walburga, she mentioned about her memories of the day, so I believe it."
Albus: "Did letter or Walburga mentioned name of ritual?"
Hadrian thought about it, being read many books and also knowledge he gained from ancestor and demons he knew there was one blood magic which can do so. He needs to name it otherwise Dumbledore won't believe him.
Hadrian: "Cursed soul bounding ritual"
Albus with wide eyes: "It is indeed a ritual that can do such thing. Very powerful, illegal and ancient blood ritual"
Hadrian: "Regulus had doubt in mind about Nagini being horcrux as Dark Lord always safe guard her more than any of his follower."
Albus: "Indeed it was useful information."
Hadrian: "Do you think that there will be any other living Horcrux apart from Nagini?"
Albus chuckled: "sometimes people see whole world but forget to look themselves "
Hadrian huffed: "Now what does that mean?"
Albus: "That's for you to think"
Hadrian rolled his eyes: "Anyways Azkaban break is proof that Dark Lord is planning something. May be we can play with what we know and hinder his plans."
Albus with curious look: "What do you have in mind?"
Hadrian: "As per wordings it seems Regulus did it behind his back. So Dark Lord must be confused since last six months why he felt himself more broken. As we know his most Loyal were captured in Azkaban, so I believe part of reason to break them from prison is to retrieve these object. Before he got them and figures out, why not you somehow send him anonymous tip or something mentioning order destroyed his little treasures. This will create fear in him that order knows his secret and destroying his soul. Also in rage he might slip out about other horcrux or make some mistake and we know what to do"
Albus with calculative eyes: "I will see what I can do; I believe indeed Slytherin house is doing you good."
Hadrian grinned: "Good night headmaster" and then he left.
Albus thought the boy is too smart to be manipulated. He needs to pull curtain down fast otherwise he won't be able to stop this boy. At least boy was on right path. He called for emergency order meeting and told Snape to inform his lord about order's achievement. As Snape left room, Hadrian got message from his snakes. Hadrian chuckled and thought 'Albus now who is manipulating whom'
Next morning in Common meeting in RoR,
Theo: "Hello fangs of shadows, This meeting is called to announce certain things:
Firstly today we have one new general with us Smith Zachharias, he has been in contact with our king from last year. Secondly, our Lord along with Draco Malfoy and Hermione Lestrange had passed 5th year OWLs so they will be in our sixth years instead of third year. Thirdly our King has decided to increase intensify training sessions after seeing recent events."
Theo took step back. Hadrian looked at every member to see their expression on information.
Hadrian: "You all are allowed to pass this piece of information to your friends or anyone you wish to that I am about to share. I want to alert everyone especially those involved with Death eaters business or family, do not take Dark mark. Use your brain to escape situation but I repeat do not get yourself marked no matter what. Dumbledore is placing wards around castle to identify people with Dark mark. If you got caught, you will be in Azkaban no matter what your status or age is. The wards will be complete by Sunday as per my information. If you have mark make an excuse and leave castle before Sunday. Do not come back. Meeting Dismissed."
Only 2 student a 7th year slytherin and surprisingly 5th year Gryffindor left the school mentioning family issues. Before leaving they come to meet Hadrian and said they can't help much but they will be spies and eyes in Dark Lord's group for him as thanking him for saving their life.
As Monday came, lessons started. Apart from Remus's constant try to understand Hadrian, thing were smooth for whole month. Albus has asked him to join order meeting but he refused saying he would like to study and train himself. Albus can't do much then accepting it. Albus knew Hadrian is strong enough in academics and has good control over his magic. Fangs of Shadows are getting stronger with constant training. Tom as Smith has made some good friends (not followers). After month of observing, Remus started approaching Hadrian to talk with him. He tried different strategy for month but all in vain. Finally at the end of month he knew Hadrian will never willingly talk to him or Listen to him.
Fangs of shadow have gained few new members. Some of graduated student approached generals with request to join. In total now there are 105 members of this group from it 10 were from outside Hogwarts. Constant Physical and mental training under Hadrian's watchful eye made his army stronger with each passing days. For outsiders Layers was King, generals and warriors in Fangs of shadows. But for those member of Group knew there is more as there were also inner Hierarchy levels between Generals and Warriors. The top layer is closest to king and it is consist of Draco, Hermione, Pansy and Blaize. Second layer is Theo, Luna, Daphne and Neville. Third layer is Tracey, Smith, Cedric and Seamus. In Warriors the top layer is Ginny, Dean and Cho. This layer acts as first line of security to grant anyone wants to access the group. If someone wishes to join fangs of shadow they have to approach one of the warriors and finally get approved by top layer of warriors. Only top layer warriors can approach generals for any issues. Only top two layers of general can approach king directly. This internal hierarchy can only change by King himself so everyone knows there place. No matter what their ranks in group king does know every person's positives and negatives.
