Chapter 63:

Berry Fields Forever

Location: PWT Lobby

"Isn't this exciting?" I said. "I'm fighting Clay again!"

"Yep!" Cheren said. "Ah, I remember my battle with Clay. He really put up a good fight, and this is coming from someone who used a Grass, Water, Flying and Fighting Type."

I took a drink of water. Speaking of water, Azumarill would be going first due to its advantage. Serperior would also be joining for advantage and Flygon to because of its Levitate Ability. This would be the last time I make a selection, however. The finals would be six on six, whoever I was facing.

"Go get em!" Hugh said.

Location: PWT Battlefield

"We have reached the semi-finals! Four Trainers remain, and we are about to bring on the first set! First up, it's the Unova Champion, Rosa Wright!" I ran on, more confident than ever. "And on the other side, the Gym Leader of our very own Driftveil City, it's the Underground Boss, Clay!" Clay walked on from the other side.

"Well, yer confident today. I guess this will bring back old memories." He got out his pickaxe. "Let's shake the ground!"

Rosa Vs. Clay

"Azumarill, you start!" I sent out my Water Type.

"Go Krookodile!" Clay responded. "Start with yer Earthquake!" Krookodile started with a large tremor that shook the ground. Azumarill stood up, just fine.

"Now use Aqua Tail!" Azumarill struck back, hitting Krookodile with its tail. It didn't quite get Krookodile in the red.

"Use yer Crunch Krookodile!" Krookodile snapped down on Azumarill's tail. Azumarill survived.

"Now use Aqua Tail again!" Azumarill did just that, hitting Krookodile in the face with its tail. It was defeated.

"I'm impressed. Okay Seismitoad, go!" Clay sent out the blue Pokémon with orbs all over itself. "Use Earth Power!" Seismitoad made a shockwave through the ground that finished off Azumarill.

"No!" I shouted. "At least I still have Serperior!" Serperior was sent out. "Use Leaf Blade!" Serperior slashed at Seismitoad who almost went down. Why almost?

"Nice try, but Seismitoad ate a Rindo Berry before it came here! A Grass Type move will be weakened, which will give Seismitoad a chance to use Ice Punch!" Seisimtoad's knuckle went white, and it punched Serperior in the face.

"Clever. Okay, use Leaf Blade!" Serperior used another Leaf Blade, and Seismitoad was finished.

"Just like old time! Excadrill, go!" Clay sent out Excadrill, his ace. "Use Swords Dance!" Excadrill sharpened its claws by dancing around.

"Leaf Storm!" Serperior whipped up a barrage of leaves, which did a lot of damage to Excadrill.

"Now use Rock Slide!" Excadrill made some rocks fall from the sky. They hit Serperior for a Critical Hit, knocking it out.

"Brilliant job," I told it. "Flygon, it's our last chance!" I sent out my last hope. "Earth Power!" Flygon roared and sent a crack through the ground that hit Excadrill. It was defeated.

"Another great job! Yer rocked this place!"

"And with that, Rosa Wright is moving into the finals!" I saw a leader board on the screen appear. I went up to the final two, the other one blanked out as it hadn't been decided yet.

"It only gets harder," Clay said. "Looks like you'll either be facing Fantina or that Jules kid. Either way, they are a challenge."

"The finals Bianca shouted. "That took hard work!"

"And there is still more to come," I said. "Starting from here, everyone will be involved. And I can't exactly rest now. I have to help Colress again." As I said this, a message appeared on my Xtransciever.

"Meet me at the Abundant Shrine."

"To get there," said Mr. Cheren. "You will need this." He gave me HM05. "It contains Waterfall. It seems only Azumarill can use it though."

"Don't worry!" Crasher Wake came over. "Feel free to borrow my Floatzel!"

"Thanks!" I said. I went over to the PC, dumped Cinccino and Arcanine and took out Pelipper. "I've got a place to save!"

Location: Abundant Shrine

"Sorry it took me so long," I told Colress upon arrival. "I haven't been to this place before. I had to use Hilbert's directions."

Colress smiled. "That's fine. And don't worry, I brought it." From behind Colress popped Meloetta. "Honestly I don't know why we didn't do this before. But that storm, it's approaching." He eyed a storm cloud slowly approaching.

"Okay then, who shall we use? Flygon? Magnezone? Something else?"

"No need!" A man came over to us. He had just finished ploughing a field.

"You must be Kaku!" I said. "You know all about Landorus!" I got out the Reveal Glass. "We're trying to change it back."

"NO!" he said. "We've been preparing for it. Leave it alone. Come on in. That storm is about half an hour away."

Shortly after Kaku brought us to his place, the storm hit. Through it, I could see the outline of something quadruped.

Landorus (ランドロス)

200 (Unova)

Ground/Flying Type

Abundance Pokémon

4'03" (1.3 m)

149.9 lbs (68 kg)

From the forces of lightning and wind, it creates energy to give nutrients to the soil and make the land abundant.

Legendary Pokémon.

"So… this storm is good?" I asked.

"Sure is! I mean, thanks for stopping the other two. Particularly Tornadus. That could have destroyed our hard work! It got so close to the Abundant Shrine!"

"Well," I said. "I should return the Reveal Glass to you." I gave it to him; I had no need for it anymore.

"Thank you for understanding. You see, this storm helps make the soil nice and fresh for the harvest!"

"Got it!" I said.

"So," Colress asked. "Who are you fighting tomorrow at the PWT?"

"Jules. The Eevee boy. He has a Pokémon I've never seen before called Sylveon."

"Sylveon?" Colress asked. "You know… I think that might be a Fairy Type Pokémon. They are seldom seen outside of a region called Kalos, described to be the most beautiful region in the world. But recently, there have been Pokémon metamorphosising into Fairy Types. And I believe one of them is Azumarill."

"Really?" I asked. "Well, hold on. Azumarill, go!" I sent it out and scanned it with my Pokédex. "But it's still a pure Water Type."

"It's a slow process," Kaku said. "Type metamorphosis. It's not something that happens everyday. One of the most recent examples is Magnemite and Magneton. Did you know they used to just be Electric Types? Evidence does say they were Steel Types at one point, but they lost the typing then gained it again. It's happening again, but on a much grander scale!"

"Amazing!" I said. "Well, Azumarill, we'll have to look out for that."

"Kalos interests me," Colress said. "Over there is a mysterious phenomenon where I believe the hearts of Trainers and Pokémon become one and bring out a further power. I really want to look into it…"

Well, that's the storm quests finished. And hey, now I know about the Fairy Type! This will be exciting.
