When Chekov falls ill after an away mission, it's up to the crew to save his life before time runs out.

He stopped for a while at the access hatch to the warp core and reminisced about how it seemed so long ago that he was closing Jim's eyes and pulling his still warm body from the reactor room. Jim was characteristically reckless and injury prone but it was rare that he had to get so involved.

A young Spock crash lands in a field in Riverside, Iowa after the ship he and his parents were on was attacked by Klingons. Jim saves him from the burning wreckage and then the pair, armed only with a rusty screwdriver, a microwave, and their new, mysteriously developed bond attempt to help Spock get home. This would all be a lot easier if the 1980's was warp capable.

What if the person you needed the most was the one person you could never turn to? Kirk faces that question everyday after a night that ruined his world. He would give anything to have the one person that means everything to him back. Even if that is letting him walk away for good. Not everything is as it seems as our secrets are what defines us.
