Jim sees himself in another dificult situation and cannot stop his thoughts from wondering how he hates to see pain in others.

In the aftermath of Krall's attack, Spock and Nyota pick up the pieces of their broken relationship and mend it back stronger than before. With emotions high and their feelings of connection boiling over, the pair make love for the first time since Khan. Sometimes, time-travel doesn't just send you backwards, but sideways as well...especially if you were already sideways to begin with. My own take of the premise of the 2009 movie, beginning about the same, but going in an entirely different direction. Rated M for future content.

After Kirk and McCoy extend an unexpected invitation, Spock struggles to communicate his desires, only to find that he has underestimated both his friends and himself. Or: These days, Spock rarely thinks of himself as an alien, but fitting in can still be a challenge. Especially when the needs of the many sometimes seem so incompatible with his own.

Alternate after story. Pike didn't die and the crew works to bounce back. Bad summary, story is a lot better. T for safety. No flames.

None of the names he'd been known by had ever quite felt like they fit. Not even Jim. When Jim is lost, it's up to Bones to help him find himself. Academy era. Jim/McCoy friendship.

Months spent on the Enterprise can cause the crew to become rather antsy, and this is where the joy of shore leave comes in. It's more of a luxury than anything else, so the crew will take a break when and where they can. Even if it means that they have to spend shore leave on a children's playground. ESPECIALLY if it's on a playground.

"Doctor," he said weakly. "Why does my loss of control unnerve you so? You often berate me for my so-called lack of emotions… but when I do express them, it seems it is you who are incapable of bearing it." Another mission goes awry, causing injury to Spock, and Leonard McCoy is forced to confront an uncomfortable truth.

From finding his alternate self in the middle of an anomaly in space to dealing with a defecting Romulan, it's just another week in the life of James T. Kirk.
