A year before the ZA, a young girl around 16 has a dream and begins to hear a voice in her head. She calls it fate and listens to it when it tells her to prepare. She wonders if she is crazy, but finds she does not care if she is. She just finished fortifying her inherited mansion when she sees her neighbors undead four year old clawing at her through the fence.

S5. Carol's been carrying a huge weight on her shoulders since the events of The Grove, and it's changed her into someone she doesn't recognise. But everyone has their breaking point.

During the winter months, Rick and Daryl's relationship starts to change as they get closer to each other. But dangers all around them put their budding relationship on rocky grounds. If they can survive the dead walking then why not the pitfalls of a relationship?

..Daryl/Beth.. AU - no zombies. Beth's the new girl that Dale has hired to answer the phones and handle the invoices and balance the books at the garage and while the other mechanics all try to give her their most charming smiles and best pickup lines, Daryl stays away from her as if she has some disease he's afraid of catching.

"She had somehow been alive after a gunshot to her head, and that breath she took was another chance. No way in hell was he goi'na let her risk her life for somethin' so stupid. No fuckin' way. So here he was, a forty two year old man telling his twenty nine year old wife that she wasn't havin' no damn baby."

After Grady the group moves on. No one is sure where they are going or what they will find when they get there but it turns into one hell of a journey. Revelations lead to rivalry within the group and when another tragedy strikes they have to find a way to pick up the pieces and keep going. That's easier said than done for some. Caryl
