*SPOILERS FOR SEASON 5 AHEAD* Daryls thoughts when Beth dies.

Blonde hair and brain matter brush against the dark fabric of his jeans./ In which Beth Greene dies and Daryl has to deal with the aftermath.

'"They asked me if I'd take 'em huntin' over the wall. I said 'no' but they seemed real keen." Daryl gnawed on his lip. "Y'don' think they'd skip over the wall, do you?" Carol and Maggie looked at each other, aghast. Carol pressed her hand to her mouth in terror. "They could have."' Caleb and Rory, six-year-old best friends, disappear one day and they're nowhere to be found.

This was written because I will never ever forgive the walking dead for playing with my emotions. Beth and Daryl should have had something more...

Set in 'The Farm' arc, right after 'The Glue Police'. Glenn and Maggie take the boys hunting fireflies, and Carol and Daryl tag along on a whim. Very fluffy, happily-ever-after one-shot.

Ever since the quarry, Daryl has been dreaming about Shane. Dreaming things he'd never admit aloud. But after getting injured looking for Sophia, Shane helps Daryl learn to distinguish dreams from reality.
