Takes place right after Beth has been taken and it follows both Beth and Daryl as they learn to cope with the curves life has thrown at them. While Beth fights for her freedom and sanity, Daryl must decide if he wants to stay the man he has become, or go back to who he was in order to survive.

This is a Prompt fill for the USS Caryl challenge. I chose: Daryl and Caryl get together but it's a dream. this is my own take on that prompt and done in poetry form. Angst ahead and yes this is Caryl so if that's not your thing, this is not for you.

Erin is an ex-student who's been alone in the apocalypse for a while. She finally stumbles on a new group, but doesn't receive as warm as a welcome from everyone as she hopes. Daryl and Beth had to flee the prison in a hurry. Beth wants to find Maggie and Judith. Daryl tries to protect Beth by shielding her from walkers and keeping her at arm's length. Beth just wants Daryl to see her as the woman she has become. Daryl soon realizes that keeping Beth alive is easy. Keeping her out of his arms is a different story.
