To defeat Horus and his fellow traitors wouldn't be easy. While the Emperor answered Horus' open challenge at Istvaan III by dispatching seven of his sons to deal with their errant brothers, the Imperium dispatched a battle group of the best forces on hand at the time to deal a blow to the traitors by attacking a Dark Mechanicus Forge World. A Strike Force of Blood Angels and Lamenters are thrust into a completely new reality, along with a fleet of Imperial Refugees. But how? And Why? If fate is to be believed the Emperor has sent the Angel's Sons here with a task. They are to protect an infant Mankind from an encroaching Darkness. But even though this galaxy despises everything about them will they be able to save it?

This is my First EVER fanfiction and I decided to give it a whirl. This is a Warhammer AU that takes place during the Great Crusade. Will contain Sanguinius and his altercations with the Mass Effect world races. In 2148, explorers on Mars discovered the remains of an ancient spacefaring civilisation. In 2157, mankind opened the Shanxi-Theta relay and encountered alien life. But it was in 2155 that everything changed, when unwanted guests as ancient and arrogant as any Reaper arrived in the galaxy, dragging with them unwitting tagalongs.

Fire can burn, it can hurt and it can kill. But it is also warm and comforting. Fire can bring retribution upon its enemies but can also be a beacon in the darkness for those who are lost. The citadel council and the galaxy as a whole will learn soon learn, as a mysterious fleet suddenly enters the orbit of a terminus planet. Primarch Vulkan and his Salamanders bring fire.

Death is common as apart of life growing up on the most violent Death World in the Imperium. A home world that makes even the most dangerous of missions seem like a lovely vacation. It is not common to be cast through the Warp and into a completely unknown reality. Little can ever truly bother a Catachan though, and thankfully this reality still has plenty that needs killing.

This is not a story about heroes. Nor is it about great villians. This is the story of the rank and file troopers just trying to survive another day. The moral high ground, the low ground, it doesn't matter as long as you survive.
