Admittedly, there wasn't much that rattled Kagome Barton to her core. She's endured transcending time and fighting demons over some stupid magic marble. Her days time-hopping are over, but days of leisure are far from reach when she's recruited to the Avenger's Initiative following the appearance of Loki.

Time-traveling, having an all-powerful jewel ripped from her body, fighting demons, losing her family- Kagome's been through a lot. A peaceful life seems to evade her at every turn. After saving her from danger, Natasha decides to adopt the younger girl, and Kagome takes the spy up on her offer. She didn't anticipate just how much her decision would affect her life.

"You alone stand against the rest of humanity. You are what's called 'Beautiful', and you are mine. Here and until the end." It was supposed to be the end of that chapter, and the book was supposed to be closed. Things went awry when Ultron came into existence. With him comes a new fight for survival, and Kagome finds herself in the center when Ultron sets his sights on her.

At his defeat, Naraku used the jewel to put a curse on Kagome that left her immortal. With the well sealed, she had no choice but to live through the years until she reached her rightful time once more. A chance situation leads Kagome to meet Bucky, and she falls head over heels for him despite knowing she didn't belong there. Imagine her surprise when they meet again decades later

Honestly, the biggest struggle of it all was handling her sudden attraction to the Witch she'd met because of this.

For him, she was a saving grace. She was an unexpected source of calm that eased his mind. When HYDRA realized that, they used her to ensure total submission from him. As brave as she was against anyone and everyone, he was just as protective over her. Together, Kagome and the Winter Soldier made an odd little family, but it was their family. No matter where they were.

Her existence as the Shikon Miko is to be a secret, nothing more than a myth from eons ago. When she's abducted for the jewel, she knows all her carefully hidden secrets rest on the verge of exposure. Kagome has always been one to see the good in everybody, no matter what their past was like. Heroes, Villains, she could make a friend out of all of them with a bit of trust, patience, understanding, and, well, empathy. Lucky for them- and maybe her, as well, she had plenty of all that to spare.

The Super Soldier Serum undeniably had roots that connected it to demons. Super Soldiers weren't meant to exist, and Kagome, burying down her own personal feelings, resigns to accept that. After everything she's been through, Kagome moves to New York, where she has now lived for the past two years and gets hired on as Pepper Potts assistant secretary. All seems well in her life till she realizes just how close her boss is with S.H.I.E.L.D, a secret organization that's been interested in her since she left the feudal era.

Tony Stark lost the love of his life, all that he has to remember her by are old photos. Nodoka has something of his too, his child. What will happen when Tony discovers that he's a father?
